Anyone introduce soy milk instead of cows?

I think I would prefer soy milk..

Soy milk is ok in small doses, but it does contain phytoestrogens, which I prefer to limit with DS (I'm a bit cautious with giving him stuff like that which could affect his hormones). But in small amounts I'm sure it would be fine - but perhaps not a main milk source.

We buy Vitasoy Womens 40+ which is nice, it's the only Vitasoy one that doesn't have added sugar. Other than that DS is still breastfed and has A2 cow's milk (sometimes with Milo).

Yes i did. My daughter had a cows milk allergy after adding it to her diet we changed to soy. So with my son, he went straight to soy. He never really like it but would drink it with some nesquick in it LOL ( yes bad i know). Son still wont really take cows milk to this day.
Because he went straight onto it, he didnt know anything different! He is now almost 5 and has dry ceral, no milk. Weetbix he only has water :barf:

DS went straight to soy, and drinks litres of the stuff. I get the organic non GM, low salt, no added sugar version!
He can have dairy now as he outgrew an intolerance but still prefers soy, which is fine with me!

:iagree:

If you can get all the calcium into bubs from other sources then dairy isnt the necessity its made out tobe !

Soy I take issue with because of its effects on little boys so would rather use it minimally if possible !

DS doesn't tolerate either cows or soy milk, so he gets oat milk. Vitasoy has one that is calcium fortified and tastes really nice. Also, it doesn't have any added sugar.
