How many MCN do you have per child?

How many MCNs are in your stash, per child? (please divide the number of MCN you have by the number of children in full-time cloth)

I was thinking last night that I probably had enough now, but I only have,

12 Itti Bitti D'Lish
2 Itti Bitti Mottle Minky
3 Itti Bitti Minky

So when I get my fluffy mail I only have 17!

No where near enough for twins in full time cloth and one in night nappies!

Or is it?

As much as I love feeding my nappy addiction, my main reason for using cloth is to save money - so I dont want to go overboard.

How many does everyone else have?

I have 20 for DD who is in cloth during the day but still wearing a disposable overnight. But, out of those 20: 5 are pretty dodgy and I would only use at home and 3 are too big for her (one OSFA that is most definitely not and 2 large magicalls which are huge). So, that leaves 12 that I'm really happy with so I'm trying to soften DH up to the idea of buying some more in the new year :p

Not sure on an exact number atm, as most are in the nappy bucket.

I'd have close to 40, maybe just over. But some of them i don't use anymore as the elastic has gone in the legs, and i can't bring myself to throw them out for some reason! :rolleyes:

i have 87 nappies and DD2 is the only one in cloth now.

OMG Pink & SL! That is some stash. Was that all bought or some home made?

We have:
6 pockets
17 fitteds
12 AIO's

35 MCN + 28 flats

Goodness didn't know I had that many. Better not get anymore. LOL Are you sure they don't multiply by themselves.

Edited to add that I have found 3 more fitteds. Yikes better not tell DH. ;)

oml do I feel underprepared!! Bubs isnt born yet but I have only ordered 12 MCNS of one sort, in case I didnt like them then I would try others.....I have soooo far to go to catch up:laughing:

12 Organic Bumgenious AIOs - I got em cause I like the OSFA style of them cause i just couldnt work out what proportions of other MCNs to get, i.e. 3 of x size 10 of another ..... toooo much choice for this preggy brain

but most of mine are bought second hand, its the only way i'd be able to afford so many nappies :p

well the only reason i have/had so many because i have a lot of trouble with fit and absorbancy. so its taken this long to find something that works. a lot are put away waiting to be sold or swapped because they arent working for us.

i have 5 made and all others are bought, but i have a HUGE box that i TOLD DP to leave accessible in out storage unit and he put it right at the back and i am unable to get it.
there is around $1000 worth of stuff there and i cant do jack with it.......
so so sad :(

if i had it i woudl have PLENTY more nappies, i SO want to make the glow in the dark care bear nappies and i also have some pretty cool aboriginal print ones that would look great with just a singlet for summer......ahhhh the joys of partners who fail to listen :shame:

I have about 15 not including flats/prefolds, 10 Dlish snaps and 5 BBB/fitteds.

I did have more but he outgrew some and some I sold.

I am working now so on days I work we do sposies and days I dont we do MCN.

I am comtemplating selling them of but they are so cute and fluffy I keep changing my mind!

Hmmm....it probably won't be enough. I used 12 a day when James was tiny (he crapped A LOT). With twins, I reckon 24 is a good number...maybe more. YOu have to factor in drying time too!

You'll still save money! It's about $3000 PER CHILD to use disposables. So even if you have a mega stash like me, you'll spend a quarter of what you would on sposies.

And to answer your original question, I have about 80 nappies for one bub. :o

I have about 60 for 2 kids
The larges DD has will fit DS when he's older minus the pinks I reckon he'll look cute in purple so they are staying :D

but DD only uses 6-8 max of hers a day
and DS about the same depending on how many poos he decides to do. I do go a little overboard though and when I see one I want I have to have it :o

no sorry, i sold them off somewhere else and within a few minutes of putting the ad out i had someone wanting to buy every single one. about $200 worth. it was awesome. the quickest nappy sale i had ever had :laughing:

For my newborn I have and are using 6 Bumgenious AIO small (my Fav) 6 greenkids OSFA my next fav, 6 small itti delish with snap in ( that I am looking to swap etc) plus 12 cotton prefolds and covers.....
I also have 8 medium magicalls 4 medium ittis sewn in and BBH bamboo x1 to use when she grows and 5 small and 5 medium fitteds and covers that should be here any day. I have enough that I wash every second day but I will be getting at least 6 more AIO or pockets for when the weather cools down and they take longer to dry.
