I am hoping someone has had something similar happen to their little one but only because maybe then someone can shed some light on my problem!!
We went away for a week and I took Huggies disposable nappies for my 5 week old DD2 but she seems to have developed a rash (or pimples) from them in the last 2 days. She is back in cloth as of today so hopefully this should shed some light as to whether it has been caused by the type of nappy. She had what first looked like tiny blisters that popped and then went very red and the skin was a bit peely but this morning she had what looked like the milk pimples they get on their faces all over her front where the nappy covers (about 20). They have not popped or gone red but I am worried it could be either an allergic reation to the diposables (although she was in them for about 5 days after coming home from hospital before I started using the cloth ones with no reaction) or maybe some sort of bacteria/fungal infection - YUCK!!. I can't think why she would have any bacterial or fungal infection, she gets regular baths, is always cleaned properly at nappy changes and gets plenty of time with no nappy on so the air can flow. I am a little worried and very confused as DD1 never got nappy rash except when teething so I am not sure if this pimply appearance is normal or if it is worrying!
I am taking her to the GP tomorrow morning but thought maybe someone here could shed some light if they have seen anything like this before.
