i look at the adds and it brings tears to my eyes when i see the one were the baby on the ground covered in blood but i really dont think it is doing anything!{i mean it dose somthing to me but what about others}
i have a baby on bored sign on my car and yet still cars sit up my bum when i do the speed and honk and get angry at me for doing the right thing if i was to put my brake on fast for any reason they would crash right up the back of my bum right in to DS.... so what about u dont u think, is the add doing anything???
i no for me i lost a friend in a motor bike crash and i cant help but to think that if he just slowed down he would still be here :crying:

I so hate that add!! I cant watch it at all, just have to leave the room!
The Drivers around here are really bad and have Bad road rage!!
Mum always slows down to 40 when we are in school zone and ppl just over take doing double the speed and if they cant overtake they'll get up our butt!! Or beep the horn aswell!! Ahh this makes me soo angry!
I know a lot of people (child-free-by-choice) that are resentful of the "Baby on Board" signs... I've been told as well that their purpose isn't to tell others to slow down and be careful, instead to warn emergency service crew attending an accident to also look for a bubs that may have rolled under a seat or something in a bad crash.
I think the ads don't do much either, people will always think they're invincible until it happens to them. Sadly.

We've just been to the Gold Coast for a holiday and I have to say, that ad of the baby on the ground absolutely shocked me!
It is so graphic, yet I think it does take something like this ad to bring home what a lethal weapon a car is...if you can possibly get through to these 'speed demon' morons!
I knew about the 'baby on board' signs but another thing that I've got on my phone is an I.C.E number. I read about it a while ago and it stands for "In Case of Emergency" - if you're in an accident (not necessarily the car) and cannot communicate Emergency Services can find your nominated family member (in this case DH) quickly and don't have to scroll through your contacts list. I've even put mine at the very start of my contacts list by listing it as "AAA-I.C.E" - my my, how being a parent makes you so cautious!:o
I hate these ads too,i always cry!!!
Some people are just losers when it comes to driving!!Im so paranoid when i drive,I dont care bout getting hurt,I jsut want my son to be safe!!
I think people just dont realise how their driver could kill people!!the sad thing is that most accidents they cause, they walk away withoout a scratch but kill others:thumbsdown:
I just drive slow when people up my ***!!it gives me the ****s tho!!
no way will i speed up for them!!!
also people-CHECK YOUR BLINDSPOTS!!I almsot got sideswiped on my sons side the other day on motorway coz someone didnt check blindspot before changing lanes!!
i never knew that was one of the reasons why we put the baby on board signs on our cars. i just put it on there as a warning to other drivers to not tailgate me and be careful driving around me coz i have a baby in the car. it doesnt work, people still drive dangerously behind me. now i know that about the emergency services, i'll make sure that sign is on the car at all times.

Thats true the "baby on board" signs were designed by grandparents who lost their grandchild after it was thrown from the parents car & wasnt found as no-one knew there was a baby in the car so even though it survived the crash it didnt survive the exposure :crying:
The best place for the sign is also inside the car somewhere that the emergency services can see it as with it being on the window its of no help as often the windows get blown out so it gets lost.
would the car seat, pram and toys in the car make them realise there could be a baby in the car????

Not in some cases where the car is a right off & things are scattered everywhere. Sometimes its hard to make out a car from certain accidents let alone other objects. But foe the likes of someone like me who hasnt got a car but travels in my sisters car with bub from time to time so the only thing in the car is a baby seat that bubs is in its not obvious. So if in the case of an accident i didnt have that sign & bubs was thrown from the car in his seat like what happened to this baby then it would be the same thing. Nothing about the car shows there is a baby on board.
