Hi all,

My DD is 16 months old and is driving me batty with sleeping. My partner hates using the CC method with her because he rekons it 'breaks his heart' (mind you she puts it on a fair bit too cos she knows daddy will come and rescue her) and I am finding lately we are arguing non stop about the kids and their sleeping.

My DS is now 4 and still sleeping in our bed, which began once DD came along. Now every night at 2am DD ends up in our bed also... and so we end up with 4 of us in the bed...

My patience is wearing thin.

DP and myself havent been able to spend quality time together in ages and it is starting to take its toll. DP now wants to put a matress beside our bed to 'wean' DS out of our bed... but I dont think it is going to work.

DS was going to bed in his OWN bed prior to DD coming along... and he would sleep all night long...

Im tired... and just over it...

Any suggestions?

hi, i dont have suggestions, but I can just see that there is not going to be any easy way to change this. I think you will both have to agree on what ever you want, whether it is co sleeping, or controlled crying, whatever, once you and hubby agree, then make the change. and stick to the new plan, no coming and going on this, you will have a few sleepless nights, and a few upsets, but it will be done and not to be undone. There is no half measures, either you have kids in the bed or you dont, not chopping and changeing. Good luck.

Hey there, I can totally relate to the sleep time = drama time! I'm still having issues with my 18 month old. :(

Like you, it's taking it's toll our my relationship. We argue most night over the bloody sleep time!!! I can't stand letting her cry to sleep, and he can't understand what the big deal is!!

Sorry I have no suggestions... but know what it's like. :o

maybe some kind of rewards system? Like a chart and everytime your boy sleeps in his bed ALL night a sticket goes on the chart and once he has say 7 stickers there is some kind of reward? I dont know thats all i could think of, probably not everyones cup of tea but worth throwing it out there :) good luck
