I've decided to go back to online shopping as a dread having to drag supermarket bags up three flights of steps. Has anyone else noticed that the online prices are alot more expensive than on the actual supermarket shelves? Some things are up to $2 more!!

Look around for other online stores. There should be plenty in the eastern states.
Coles tends to be pretty expensive anyway in my opinion.
I use both coles and the woolworths online shopping and think coles is a little cheaper than Woolies but with woolies you often get a few freebies which is always good.
I seem to spend sooo much each week but its worth it for me as there is no way I could go to the supermarket with 2 babies.
Cole definately has more choice though and are not out of things as much as woolies.

That's why i have never shopped for groceries online. i would love to have it all selected and delivered to my door but it is just soooo much more expensive!
You have to really know your prices. I tend to do the online thing when I have a heap of heavy or bulky things to buy, like washing powder, nappies, big heavy stuff. And if it's in the catalogue at a certain price then that's the price online.

You just have to look around.
I recently realised a Dewsons nearby does home delivery. My mum used to buy me groceries online occasionally (shes in sydney and im in wa) but the store she used (electrolley) doesnt deliver meat to my area. Dewsons does, woohoo!
I've made a large list which im going to checkout once the pay goes in tomorrow. The delivery is only 5% and $5.95 too so thats good. They had a special on pasta as well, 50c a bag! My pantry is going to be stocked full of penne, fusilli, linguine, spaghetti etc etc :D
Considering I always seem to get ill when I try to go grocery shopping, this site is going to be a blessing!

I am still annoyed that despite living in an inner suburb of Brisbane with 2 Woolworths and 2 Coles stores within a 5km radius - online shopping is STILL not available in my area. :banghead: :banghead:
It's absolute bs in my opinion. I really wanted to use it when the new bub arrives but instead I guess I will be trampsing around the supermarket with 2 under 2. Grr.
Sorry I'm off topic here lol.

None of the big brand centres (coles / woolies) do online shopping in WA yet either, EmmyLou. Have you looked online for smaller grocery stores like Dewsons / IGA etc etc to see if any of them do home delivery?
I actually found this Dewsons in Queens Park on the net by accident. I was looking at dewsons sites because my husband was taking a job with them. I noticed the Queens Park dewsons had an online shopping section and almost peed my pants!
Seriously, have a browse about for all the small grocery stores you can think of, you may find a little website for a local store and get lucky!

Alot of supermarkets have the home delivery service, for a fee probably. But it may end up cheaper that doing it all online when you add it up.

I can understand being charged a deliver fee by Coles, fair enough. But to hike the prices up of the actual items is a bit unfair. I think I'll put in an order this time as I have a few bulky items to get and then just go back to the supemarket myself in future.
