Strange but true - Vallerie's first discernible word was LIGOOLIGOOLIGOO over and over again. We had no idea what it meant (and still don't!) She said sounds, like muh, ga, duh, but no real words until LIGOOLIGOOLIGOO

how cute :)
Emily's was 'nanna'.
But it was everytime she cried. So when she was crying I would say to my mum, see she's calling you again!"
Jacobs was 'blah blah blah', I dont know where he got it from.. But its very cute! :). He has said dada and it sounded like mum this morning!
Ej's is "ok" shes said it since about a month old - no one believed my bf and I until she said it to her grandmother a couple of months back LOL

DD1's was Dad then Dog and then Mum!! Nice to know I was way up there in contention with the dog!!
DD2's was Bub then Mum then Dad - I got rid of the dog!!
DD's was 'Bub Bub'
she just loves herself
Andrews first word was Hello. When he was very very little he used to say 'awwo' whenever we said hello to him, from about 3 months old. Even when he figured out how to talk more specifically, hello was (and is) still his word of choice!
Dad is his second favourite - Mum is saved only for when he's upset!

I don't even think DD has said her first word yet.
Don't get me wrong, she says "Mumma" and "Dadda" and "bubba" and all sorts of other sounds, but I don't count them as words because I don't think she realises what she's saying.
I'm waiting until she says something different (not just a random sound) or says something with MEANING. Like pointing to me and saying "mumma" or something.

I thought you said ur bubs first word was BUBHUB  i read it three times then got it...silly me!
DD first started out saying mummummum about 4 days ago. No matter what you say to her its the only response you get, I think she is just really proud of herself:p The last day or so she started adadada so we think thats the closest she gonna get to dad for now (were impressed:D )

About 4 weeks ago DD turned to my DH and stared at him and touched his face then said "Dad Dad" completley out of the blue. DH and I cried!!!
She said it for a while "dad dad dad dad" but it has slowly been phased out and now all we hear is "Bub Bub Buuuuub bub bubba". I am pregnant so we say "yes Gracie - Bubba" and touch my belly...:)
I want her to say Mama!! :(

Lucas' first word was dada even though i never taught him to say it. and then mum and bub was his third word and about a month ago he started saying nanna.
We were in the hospital the other day and he started calling his nanna and because she wasnt there with me she didnt come so when we got home he ignored her for about an hour and wouldnt go near her. And this is a 9 month old we're talking about too lol.
