Hi everyone:wave:
DH and I have just finished our 4th cycle trying to conceive #2. I have an appointment with a naturopath in a few days. Just wanted to hear if anyone has had success with this, or has any advise. I am having 28-30 day cycles and ovulating around CD15/16. It only took us 3 months to conceive our DS.
Thanks,
Jacqui

 My bestie did. Her cycles were all over the place. She was having a period every 2-3 weeks. And the first thing the naturopath said to her was don't fall pregnant! She did - her DS is now 10.
Good luck.
A naturopath can definitely help. They aim to bring the body back to health when its out of balance; ayurveda (traditional indian medicine - which i study) and traditional chinese medicine, all have the same aim.
if your body is out of balance that's when its not working like it should, but you need to remember that it takes us a while to mess up our bodies and therefore returning them to balance takes time too. so be patient and commit fully to whatever your practitioner advises.
good luck!

Yep, I had success with naturopathy after years of infertility. It took one cycle :yelclap: I'm a huge advocate for the power of naturopathy and chinese medicine. I started with a strict liver detox diet for a week (it nearly killed me ) then I was prescribed lots of vitamins and herbs. Vitex (or chasteberry) seems to have an excellent success rate in regulating cycles and 'righting' things.
Good luck :D

Thanks ladies, you've given me some hope. I was also hoping she might give me something to kick start DH's swimmers, as he is too busy to get there himself. She does the iridology thing as well, so I will be interested to see what she says. I haven't had much energy lately, not good for baby dancing!

I used chinese medicine - which is kind of the same. I took many chinese herbs etc to get my body healthy.
I conceived 3 weeks after a miscarriage on the herbs and carried the baby to term (after 3 previous miscarriages).

Hi again,
I just wanted to let you guys know how I went. I had my first appointment yesterday. My naturopath seemed really good. I had to provide a urine and saliva sample. She then looked at those and compiled a report. We had a consultation, and I give her a blood sample. She showed me what it looked like on her screen. Apparently my liver is functioning well, hence the tiredness. She was great, told me to keep taking my Conceive Well Golds and gave ,me a few other things as well. I have to go back and see her in a month. I feel pretty good today after taking everything. I also got DH some zinc. Lets hope it all helps:fingerscrossed:

I am seeing a natropath and acupuncturist. 2 different ladies, but out of the same clinic. I am doing IVf but not at the moment, iykwim.....
I am very confident with my Natro...She is amazing. She is so detailed with everything. I am on herbs, pills and potions. She and my acu talk on a weekly basis and together they are confident that i will fall pregnant. They have told me not to expect a miracle in the first month.....but to kjeep positive!
I have huge stress issues and they are helping me with all of that as well!
I am excited as the first time i used natural therapies with IVF i got a BFP but M/C.......so the proof is there!!! :yelclap: :D
Good luck sweets!!!

Yeah, DH was pretty happy with his "Super Sperm Tabs"
I also went on a 6 week no alcohol detox & he followed!
Although he didnt last the full time (he did 4 weeks) i thought he did pretty good!
He said "anything to help my little buddies"
Oh, also i was saying positive affirmations EVERYDAY to myself in the mirror. YOu feel like a bit of a d!ck when you start but it really is quite powerful because you are looking yourself in the eye & saying all these truthful, wonderful things.
:goodvibes: Thats my piece of mung-bean advice for the day xx

hi heather, i saw a naturopath called lyn crossman on unley road, unley park (near cross rd intersection), she's fantastic. i saw her a few years ago for general health, not fertility, but i highly recommend her. she is pretty pricey though, although i think they all are!! it was about $200 for the initial consult, and she tailors a plan for you. you also need to buy any supplements you require which can be another couple of hundred dollars. i think follow up consults are around $75? all consults you can claim against health insurance. i felt amazing results for my health and learned a lot from her.
