Looking for OB for Mater Private or Wesley

Hi there!
I have just found out I am pregnant for the first time, (yay!) and am looking for an ob for around the mater or wesley hospitals. I have had a Dr Glenda McLaren recommended to me but am not sure where she practices. Does anyone know either about Glenda or another ob they might be able to recommend to me?

Hi there

My OB was Dr Adrian Guest, based on Wickham Tce. He delivers at both the Mater and the Wesley, so you can take your pick.

I can recommend Dr Ross Turner. His suite is based at the Wesley as well as obviously delivering there. He is very good, good bedside manner.

My OB was Dr Bronwen Byrne. She practises at the Mater and her rooms are at Southbank, which was great for me as I worked in the city. She is really understanding and relaxed about the whole pregnancy and birth thing and made me feel very comfortable. She also debunked a lot of the pregnancy myths that get tossed about.

My advice is to make sure you choose your hospital quickly. The Mater Private is getting really booked up and they may not be taking bookings for babies due before l January. Apparently there is a baby boom on in Brisbane at the moment!
