I'm really confused of what i should do. My daughter is now 12 months old and her head shape hasn't gone back to it's normal shape. I was given advice that it should by this age. We did all the rotating sleep, tummy time, and keeping her off her head as much as possible. I have now seen a specialist about it and her adivce is, we could do a helmet but there is no way to tell if it's going to work. I am just not sure if i should put her through all that for nothing.
I dont notice the head shape and she has a beautiful face. The specialist said that with a bunch of hair you wouldn't even notice it. It's more of a personal decision to make and weather or not i would feel guilty not doing it when i had a chance, a small one but still a chance it could work. She would have to wear it for at least 6 months if not 12 and then hopefully it will change. I am just wondering if anyone else out there has gone through this and if so, did it work and how long did you have the helmet on.

Thanks

If it is that slight that with more hair it will be unnoticeable then why do anything? I wonder if when you do put the helmet on and it doesn't look how you want at the end, are you going to put somtehing else on?

Everybody has physical faults and something that is not perfect. Hair or clothes or makeup covers many of those faults or perceived imperfection. So your daughter has one; I think you should just be accepting if it is only slight and not causing her any problems.

But if you are still worried let her wear the helmet for a bit and then judge from there.
