My DD has been having trouble with her wind for the last few weeks. She is 8wks and FF. When she comes off and I burp her I find it really hard to get her wind up and she thrashes around and cries. And then when she finally does she brings a bit of milk up most of the time and it doesn't seem to settle her after she burps, sometime she winces and cries out like she is in pain. So my thoughts were is something burning her throat like reflux sort of thing or does she just have more wind?? She doesn't throw up ever in between feeds just a bit of spilling here and there.
Also I have been trying 'Infants Friend" to help her get up her wind and wanted to know if anyone else has used it or another product they might have found to be better??? And how: Before the feed? After the feed? - Directly on tongue. Or in the bottle?
I have heard some tips are to burp them perhaps 2-3 times during the feed and to try keep them upright for 1/2 hour afterwoods and also to incline the cot mattress, as she gets quite restless for sleeptime (is really hard to get her to have any good day sleeps but will sleep right through the night, only waking for 1 feed. And towards the end of the day this windy/colicky behaviour is HEAPS worse) but sleeps well in her rocker which is on an incline.
Any ideas or tips that have worked for you guys?
