I started on the pill (Loette) in June 2001 (previously on Depo Provera for 3.5 years).
I took my last round of Loette in mid-September 2008, and got the usual withdrawal bleed (fake period) a few days later.
My first period then occurred 24 days later in October. My November period was a 29 day cycle. And my December period which started yesterday, made it a 23 day cycle!

How long did it take for your periods to become regular after coming off the pill?
I have heard that Vitex can help to regulate your period - has anyone used this? And how long does it take to regulate?

It makes it hard to know when I'm ovulating.
In October I had a lot of EWMC to at least give me some idea, but last month, didn't notice any mucous at all.

I want to try OPKs, (Maybe Baby did not work for me) but they work best if you have a regular cycle, don't they?

I also possibly have endometriosis, but this hasn't been confirmed (haven't had a laparoscopy). My only endometriosis symptoms are bowel-related. My actual period pain is pretty normal.

I'm very new to all this, and am starting to worry that 6 months will go by without a BFP, and then I'll go to the doctor and find out that something is very wrong.

Hi Maldives

This is my second cycle TTC, was on Levlen ED for 9 years. My AF arrived Saturday and fortunatley I have a GP who is a naturapth as well. She has put me on Vitax, B multi vitamins and I'm taking elevit.

Try the Vitax, it should work:fingerscrossed:

Mate - it's crazy I know. I came off Marvelon28 (god I loved that drug) after 9 years and my cycles were wacked!

35 days, 30 days etc etc. pain, heavy bleeding AHH! after 9 years of easy regular periods I thought I was in hell! It was like I was 16 again.

I went to an acupuncturist/chinese herbalist who got me to 28 day cycles in about 4-5 cycles!! Fab. She is a fertility specialist.

Good luck to you! it does happen:fingerscrossed:

Hi there, I started taking Vitex about 6 weeks ago and have already noticed an improvement. My cycles have been about 50 days apart since April. I stopped breast feeding DS in March. DS is now 14 months old and we want to start trying for bub #2 in a few months so I really wanted to regulate my cycle. I started taking the Vitex right after AF finished up and that cycle was 37 days - much shorter then the usual 50 day cycle I've been having. This cycle I'm up to day 19 and am expecting this cycle to be around 33-35 days. I only take 1 table a day but the doseage says you can take 2 a day. I've found it great so far and have also heard that it can take a few months to really kick start your body, but so far it's working great.
