Hi I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could find some plain white flannelette bunny rugs, most of the ones I have seen have either been coloured or patterned... i dont mind if they even have a % of some sort of stretchy material in as well.... any help would be greatly appreciated!:D

I know of someone that makes them. PM me your email address if you like & I will get her to email you.

I found a lot of wraps were too small quickly, i went to a fabric store and bought a few metres, then hemmed it with my sewing machine. You could try that, or have someone else do it for you.

You can use plain flannelette or normal cot sheets too, if you've got a wriggly baby the extra fabric can be handy

Myer!

I had the same problem finding flannelette wraps - everything was gender specific or loaded with pictures of stuff. I finally found some plain white Bubba Blue ones in Myer (3 pack for about $15, I think).

Thankyou everyone... I will definately try Myer- havent looked there yet! I dont really have anyone that can sew some unfortunately... it is easier to just purchase some...

If I cant find any flannelette does anyone know what muslins are like? I was just concerned that bubs wouldnt stay as tightly wrapped for as long with muslin?? Thanks again :smiliedance:

Myer have the muslin ones too. Variey of brands, Bubba Blue, ****, Living Textiles (http://www.livingtextiles.com.au/Products-List.asp?CategoryID=76). They're about $25 for 3. I've got some Duck ones (which are a heavy muslin) and Living Textiles (which are really fine) and they were bigger than normal wraps too, 120cm x 120cm. I liked the muslins better than flannel because it could breathe better, and it wasn't as bulky. My little one stayed wrapped all night, might have been my wrapping tecnique, but I'm sure it was the muslin too!

Toys R Us have a great selection.
I bought some from there during their recent baby sale.

I use the Living Textiles (as per the link in Razzle's post) - they are great. They are huge, warm and Saxon stays wrapped up. We use these at home at night where there is a heater and blanket on all night.

I also use the Living Textiles waffle wraps when we go out. They are not as big as the muslin but they stretch well and are hard for him to unwrap himself. The ones that I have, have a gold star or a dragon fly on them so are quite gender non-specific.

If you can sew, you could make your own. The fabric is only about 4-5 dollars per metre.
Sorry if this has been said, didn't read all the posts.
