Hi all just after some of your awesome advice!
I'm currently 37 weeks pregnant with #2 and was wondering if I'm in pre-labour.
I have strong BH, have been losing my mucus plug for a couple of weeks (have been losing more for the past week), bubs has dropped (was +3 last week but I think it's dropped more since then), and sorry if TMI but I've been having runny #2's several times a day for a couple of days.
I never had any of this with DS (induced) so have no idea if this is pre-labour. If anyone has had this how long before you went into labour?
Thanks

Sounds like pre labour to me
as for how long it can go for, could be a few days, could still be a couple of weeks yet, who know's

I was hoping it would be in the next week or so. The poor thing is due on Christmas Eve!
Oh well, I'll just have to wait and see :fingerscrossed:

my friend had this for a few weeks..she finally got induced.
you can be in pre-labour for a long time...until your body is fully ready to birth
hang in there...im getting that too (except the plug loss) and im only 36wks. :hugs:

Good luck!! :fingerscrossed: I hope something happens for you soon!!!
I'm now hoping bubs can hold off for another week. We just found out the DS of the person who's looking after our DS while I'm in labour has got chicken pox  He's had it nearly a week now but want to make sure he's completely rid of it or the new baby might catch it!
sounds like me , i was hoping it would be the start of something.

Could be. But please be aware that this could last anywhere from hours, to days to weeks yet - sorry! I know it's awful isn't it? When you think you're so close and you're getting all these 'signs' and then nothing happens...grrrrrrrrr It's enough to make you cry sometimes (I actually did on occasion)
Anyway....anytime you are wondering if the contractions are the real deal or not...have a bath. I've been told by many midwives that having a bath would either stop the contractions if they're fake...or....they'll continue! If they continue then it's real...if they don't...they're the practice ones!
Something encouraging that I've found though...the more of this 'pre-labour' stuff you get and more likely you'll have a quick and easy birth as most of the work would have been done by the time you get there - kind of. No gaurantees so don't quote me on it....it's just been my experience :)
Hope this helps.
