Hi
If your baby woke up after say an hour or half hour. How long would you persevere to try and resettle bub before giving up and getting the baby up?
30 minutes?
also would you then keep them up till next feed or keep trying to get them to sleep ?

Younger than 8 months of age I would try for 45 mins, have a 15 min break if no success and then try again

An hour sleep? That would have been heaven when DD was younger!! If she woke after less than 45 minutes, I used to try for about 25 minutes to resettle before I admitted defeat. I would then keep her up until after her next feed.

During the day an hour sleep is fine isn't it??
I personally wouldn't be trying to resettle again at all...

If baby wakes up happy and refreshed then sure an hour is enough. But, if your bub wakes up crying, foul and still tired then the hour probably wasn't long enough.

she is 14 weeks.....
normally after her 7am feed she sleeps for 2-3 hours no worries
then after her 10 am feed maybe and hour
then after her 2 pm feed the fun starts - an hour then i can occasionally get her back to sleep otherwise she is real tired andf cranky for her 6pm feed.

I totally sympathise. At that age, my DD (and my DS actually) was a terrible sleeper (worse than yours) and it becomes a vicious cycle of being so tired they need a sleep straight after a feed but then are awake long before it's time for the next one. At least she is getting that good long sleep in the morning though.
Unfortunately, babies do tend to be pretty feral at that time of the day. Does she like the pram or the car? I used to try taking DD for a walk in the pram in the afternoon and sometimes she would fall asleep for a little while which made getting through to that evening feed a little more bearable. Even if she didn't fall asleep, she was often more content and it was at least a little time out from me carrying her around all the time. Or, once she stopped screaming every time I put her in the car, I would go for a drive and hope she might have a little sleep in the car.
Good luck!!
However long you are comfortable with. If either of you are getting too stressed, just stop, and put her down when she shows her tired signs next.
As long as she's waking up happy, she's had enough sleep, but you know if she needs more.
Good luck!

Sounds like you are doing really well:yes:
That is a great amount of napping! My DS was a 20 minute wonder for soooo long. You can't get much done in 20 min:no:
