Hi ladies..

Have been MIA lately, have been very busy helping mum get sorted to move back to NZ.
Such a mission, but someone has to do it.. So this xmas is not going to be a very merry one at all.

I have almost had enough of ebay... well the selling side of it anyway.. I put a few household furniture items on ebay wanting quick sales and they are pretty cheap yet people still ask millions of questions and when they do decide to take it they don't show up! Grrrr.

Anyway, Mals doing really well. Everynight for the last week we have been going for a swim at around 5pm, He's use to the water now which is great and we have even started dunking him under. No tears yet. We only stay in for about 10 mins cause it is an outdoor pool and he can get cold quickly. But then we will go back he will have a bottle and sleep untill I get him out of bed at 9-9.30pm for a dream feed and then he's back to sleep till about 4.30-5am for another dream feed then he sleeps till about 8am.
We've also started to stretch out his feeds instead of him having a bottle every two hours. and he's also substituting one bottle of formula for water which is good cause he sweats heaps.

well thats pretty much it from me, after friday I won't be able to access the net until we put it on at home. I will try to post every day until then... so keep well ladies:reindeer:

Hi all, hope everyone's having a good day. Charlotte was much better last night. Went to bed at 8:45, got up for a feed at 1:45, went back to bed at 2:30 then got up at 7:30 this morning. She's been pretty good with her feeds today as well. Hopefully this means things will be getting back to normal. :fingerscrossed:

Hailey, great to hear from you again! Good to hear that Malakai is doing well. What a bummer about the ebay buyers not turning up.

Gurlmakes3, you must be so tired after the night you had. I hope you've managed to get a nap at some stage today. :fingerscrossed: you'll have a better night tonight.

Georgia, LOL at Charlie finding his willie!

hi girls
well i did turn of the computer and go to bed last night but then Read for another 45 min
after ten years of working nights i just cant get the hang of going to bed early less I'm totally wiped
(oh i get up between 7.30 & 8 most days depending on Aby)
honestly i couldn't tell you what Rowyns routine is I'm not a very organised person he has roughly 3 hourly feeds through the day and is sleeping between 4-6 hrs at night though we co-sleep
Aby has started pinching me lately which hurts but shes pretty good in that when i tell her it hurts she will say sorry mummy
but the terrible twos have most definitely turned up at my house
i had Santa photos taken last week (no one else was there) and though Aby looks great Rowyns little head was at a strange angle so Ive decided to get some new ones
well i joined face book last night and found the septemberies group but I'm still trying to work out how it all works I'm trying to upload some photos

Hi ladies!
I hope everyone is doing well!. Sorry I have beem MIA for ages!!, I have basically just been spending time with my gorgeous girls making up for lost time. Although having said that I am going out tomorrow night lol.
I am officially off all my pain meds now... not sure if i was quick enough though, the couple of days after I stoped I felt yuck and had a bit of a cold sweat, Im coming down man! lol. I also handed in my crutches a little while back so Im up and about without any aid now yay me!
Caelyn is doing well, she gets so close to a giggle, its so cute!. We still have a bit of trouble with silent reflux but she seems to be doing better and is now sleeping from 8 at night till 5:30 in the morning!!. Going to see the Paed tomorrow so will see what he says.
Sierra is also doing well, but I am going to have to bite the bullet and give her hair a trim!, its grown so much in the last few weeks I think. The mohawke shes got going on though has to go, its getting into her eyes.I just dont want to cut it as its all still baby hair iykwim, and she prob wont stay still for me and I will prob end up taking a big chunk out!.

The xmas tree went up today and Im thinking about getting the girls to have a photo with santa... I have a feeling that he might lose his beard to Sierra... :p

Mum is here for another week and a bit then Im on my own during the days again... Shes wearing out her welcome a little bit, but I guess having one of your parents around constantly can start to get on anyones nerves when they havent lived with them for a while!. Shes been great though but Im not sure how long DH can remain civil... those two clash so bad!.

Ok, i have :ecomcity: enough!, Sorry no personals, but I will try and get on here a little more frequently to catch up!.
I must say that these september babies are a good looking bunch!

Big :hugs: for everyone!

Hi Alison!
We've missed you so very much! It's nice to have you back, and even better to hear that you are now getting back to 100%. (bummer about the coming down though! LOL)
So nice that you are having time with Sierra and Caelyn - I also get what you mean with your mum, it's lovely to have the help, but children grow up and move out for a reason!
I hope to see you on here more often hon, and please share some pics of your gorgeous girls!

Leece - so sorry to hear bout your nan :hugs:
work cant do that to you, hope you can get that sorted soon

Flick - Happy birthday for yesterday, hope you got some time to relax, yah for all the work getting done too.

Judy - so have you got any more of your chrissie shopping done yet? I cant wait to put the pressies under the tree, just cant do it yet with 2 inquisitive kitties who like to rip everything to shreds

Taren - Hope you managed to fit a nap in there somewhere today

My brain is a bit mush at the moment so have forgotten to write more personals, but a big hello to everyone.

Christmas tree went up today but no pressies underneath for the next couple of weeks as we have 2 cats who are very nosy and would rip everything to shreds. hubby is on his last night shift for the next few days, yah.

have a good night girls :)

Hi everyone,

I have been MIA also... getting a little overwhelmed and wondering how all of you gorgeous ladies manage your time, especially when you have other kids... i thought I would be better at this motherhood thing by now! Obviously not, the house is a mess, i get time in a morning for a 2 min shower which wakes Oski up anyway... he has been going really well but only sleeps 20 min intervals during the day every couple of hours unless im in the same room... What is everyone else's day time routine? what do you do with bub while you are in the shower or cooking etc?

His feeding has been going so well until the last two days... my let down reflex is taking so long and he cries and gets frustrated..seems to be getting worse... Judy has been a big help!

Tried expressing tonight and then once i felt the let-down put a sleepy Oscar on my boob..he fed (thank god) but not overly well..i shouldn't complain...it was his first decent feed... i don't know whats caused his breast refusal.. its not like him... he is happy and content in between feeds but he cries when nothing is coming out when he is sucking... so there has been two days of tears for me... felt very lost tonight... and dreading every feed...the milk supply seems less too... he usually has it dripping out of his mouth but its nothing like that now...maybe i'm drying up :(

anyway enough about me... i have missed all of you ladies so much... can't wait to share secret santa with you all...are the rules still the same???

:hugs:

:hugs::hugs: Lisa - sounds like you're going through a lot.
I have no routine with Charlie and it works well for us. He eats when he's hungry and sleeps when he's tired. Some days he only catnaps, other days he might sleep for long stretches.
You're doing a great job and try and worry less about how things should be and embrace the chaos! It might take a few more months as you are obviously someone who has done well in your career and everything in your life has probably been quite ordered until now? Hve tou tried using hot washers and visualisation to get a letdown quicker? Also maybe try and put him on before he cries. Boys are notoriously impatient and maybe if you get him before he gets frantic he may cope with a slower let down. I'm sure your supply is fine though it has been hot in Sydney the last few days and maybe Oski is thirstier than usual - if so, just feed more often to build up your supply and drink loads of water. Also try not to stress as this can inhibit the letdown. The lactation cookies work well also and are quick to make!

PINK - i agree with everything georgia said
What is everyone else's day time routine? what do you do with bub while you are in the shower or cooking etc?

marley usually wakes up around 7ish, feeds about 3hourly - sometimes stretches to 4hrly. Usually Feed/play/sleep cycle. as soon as she starts crying i put her to bed (still in bassinet, not wrapped). i lay her on a mat on the bathroom floor when i'm having a shower. she seems to like the sound of the water and the fan going - she either falls asleep, or has her eyes locked on me!
if we go out to the shops through the day, it's usually straight after a feed, i put her in the baby carrier and she sleeps.
during the evening is the worst time, which is normally the case. i put her in our high-chair and she watches me cook dinner. seems to like watching what's going on.
after dinner i lay her down in the bathroom again, while i get the girls showered - she listens to the story, kisses the girls and then it's time for her bath (usually about 8ish). big drink (still expressing), wrap up tightly and then into bed.
amongst all this is constant shh-ing of the older girls and rousing on them for being too loud!
:hugs:

Well, I finally got Jasmine to sleep last night at around 9:30pm. That's 2.5hrs of her being a little horror! She had another big day today but went to sleep as soon as she went to bed....Yay!
I bought my secret santa pressie today so now all I have to do is wrap it up and post it. I hope the bub/mum who gets it loves it cos I wanted to keep it for myself!

Georgia Re: BF - I intend to BF Deon until he's at least 1yo. Jasmine was weaned at 13-14 months mainly because I was over it and she didn't really NEED it anymore.

Jordan how's your TURD tonight? :p

Loz your boys start the day early, don't they? Oliver sounds like he's doing well in the sleep stakes there....let's hope he keeps it up!

Donna (Sissy) hope you had fun at playgroup and survived your time without power.

Shazza have fun earning that extra $. I am glad I don't have to worry about going back to work for a few years.

Donna (smiley) 9hrs is great! I hope she does it again for you tonight.

Taren good luck for a better night tonight.

Hailey :hugs: for you....it must be hard seeing your mum move so far away especially at this time of the year. My entire family live almost 200kms from me so I know how you're feeling (except I am the one who moved.....the things you do for love!).

Leece :hugs: to you too. Sorry to hear about your nan and your job problems. With a bit of luck they'll come to their senses and reinstate you at least until YOU decide whether you're returning or not.

Fleur I thought I was the night owl of the group but you might just give me a run for my money.

Alison welcome back! How cool that you're off all of your meds and walking well too! You must feel great having your independance back. Deon also has silent reflux but we seem to have it toned down as much as possible....as long as I follow the guidelines of do's and don't's. The RISA website have a wealth of information there if you want to check it out. Get moving on uploading those pics....I want to see how much Caelyn has grown/changed!

Lavinia yes I got some more xmas shopping done this morning but nothing will be going under the tree for a while yet. We put up our new tree on Sunday and I'm already having to watch Jasmine more closely in order to keep her from pulling the bells and balls off. I'm hoping she doesn't notice the candy canes higher up the tree.

Lisa don't worry about a messy house cos it's not important....it can and will wait until you eventually get to it. Georgia had some good ideas there so try them out too. Good luck hun and try your best to relax.
Re: daytime routine - Deon doesn't really have one aside from being yanked out of the bassinet twice a day for school drop off and pick up (he's gonna love it when school breaks up in a few weeks). He feeds regularly - usually every 3hrs or so and he's awake for a total of 1hr max before I wrap him and put him in bed for a sleep. He's back to sleeping well at night but not quite as well as he was a week or so ago. Showering isn't too much of a problem here. Deon is either asleep or in the rocker in front of the shower with Jasmine right next to him. She still doesn't like letting me out of her sight and has taken to 'looking after' Deon while I'm in the shower. On weekends I leave DP to deal with the kids so that I can have a shower in peace at least twice a week.
BTW Motherhood doesn't come with instructions so rest assured you're perfectly normal.

I'm a night stalker what more can i say:o
alas it means Ive also turned Aby in a night person too , the past fortnight Ive been trying to get her in be earlier (by 9.30) as she has always waited for daddy/ mummy to get home from work (anywhere between 10-12) and slowly its working
we bought her a big girls bed but still have her in the cot at the now as like tonight she will quite happily once tired go off to bed (8.45) kisses for every one then talked to her self and "baby"(her softie) till about 11:ecomcity::sleeping:
hi pink angel
i would stress about your breasts just yet, oski could just being having a growth spurt( had one of these with Rowyn last week) where they just want to be fed constantly and get the cranks because its not instantly put in to there stomachs (must miss umbilical cords) then get so worked up (baby tanties ) that it takes him ages to notice that yep the nipple is in my mouth!
try the lactation cookies (there really tasty and a great excuse for eating biscuits!) or fengreek tablets are good too and try not to stress as that will hold back you reflux
i have 1/2 my Xmas shopping done but keep putting off putting up the tree because I'm dreading the arguments ill be having with Aby Ive got a little one with the lights already in it i might put that up and leave the big fella till the week before Xmas:xmastree:

Just a quick one from me:

Lisa - i know exactly how you feel! it's hard when they don't sleep consistently during the day especially when you want to get stuff done. on the days when i am home with J i make sure i shower before DH goes to work - it's just not nice to start the day without a shower! but as for routine - we don't really have one as such. but i have accepted that if i do want her to sleep i have to put her in the ergo - that does then let me do housework if i feel so inspired. but seriously - don't worry about your house beinga mess or get DH to do it! PM me or message me on FB if you ever want to talk or vent. Oddly, I felt compeltely overwhlemed too until I went back to work a bit - i know what i am doing there so I have some semblance of normality and no longer feel so out of control!

Oh - and we have a Bumbo seat which has helped me with showering - she is generally happy to sit in that for a while after being fed so if I haven't had a shower when DH is around I can put her in that! It's been a great help.

Hi All

I have been on FB a bit lately so have not read/kept up with the posts...

Lisa - don't think you are doing a bad job, you are doing a great job. I went through the first 7 weeks about the same with Zarah. I think one thing that got me through was the swing. I would put her in it in the doorway of the bathroom while I had the shower / moved it around the house if I was in the kitchen etc. Don't worry about the house. I do minimum house work during the week and do everything else when DH is home on the weekend to look after Zarah. I'm also lucky that DH and I split the housework. We have a great nightime routine at the moment. DH has a shower with Zarah, I dry her and dress her and get her bottle ready, DH feeds her while I get to have a shower and put dinner on, we put her to bed at about 7-7.30 and then have dinner together. In the mornings she will go back down for a couple of hours after her first bottle which gives me time to have breakfast and shower etc.

Leece - sorry to hear about your nan. I can't believe that you got fired while on maternity leave, that is cr*p. Definetly follow that up. Not sure if that falls under IR laws anymore with all the changes, but would think it falls under equal opp laws.

Alison - glad to hear you are starting to feel better and more mobile. It's great that your mum has been around to help with the girls, but I can understand that you and DH want your space back and your own family time. I have similar issues with DH's mum, she can sometimes drive me insane. She lives about 4 hours from us and stayed with us for about two months while DH's brother was in hosptial at the begining of the year. I don't think she does it on purpose, but she treats me like i don't exist in my own home. she has this thing were no one is good enough for her sons. When Zarah was born she came up for the weekend and was all over Zarah and DH and was there for every visiting hour each day. She even tried to get DH to leave the hospital before he had to, to have dinner and spend time with her, his step dad and 30 year old brother instead of being with his wife and newborn child... see, drives me insane and we are spending christmas with DH's family, things you do for the people you love  and this is just the tip of all the stories I have... Don't even get me started on her and our wedding...

Happy Birthday to Flick for the other day... I hope you had a great day chick...

 to all the new members

Judy & Lavin - We also have our christmas tree up and all presents are wrapped and under the tree... I only have one present to buy and that's it, I'm done... I think it's great that Zarah loves going shopping so I could get it done over the past few months :D

Us - we are going really well here nothing much to update. DH has decided to work from home on Wednesdays so that pretty nice... I've also asked for an extention on my maternity leave or to be able to work from home a couple of days a week, I'm meant to go back at the beginning of next year but will see how we go. Money is not an issue at this stage.

I hope everyone is going well and hi to all I have missed.

Oh Mia, you poor thing, I didn't know you had mastitis :hugs::hugs: Have you ot some anti bios? They work really quickly. It must be so hard feeling like that with both kidlets as things that you would usually cope with are much harder. Hope your dp gets home soon so you can have a nice shower BY YOURSELF and go for a quick walk BY YOURSELF or something?

I've had a good day today. I've just done my tummy exercises and dh came home for a while and we went and had some yummy sushi and noodles for lunch with Charlie boy. It was nice as normally Sophia is around and we don't get to chat much as we are both focused on her or one of us is at work. Man, the terrible twos deserve the moniker! :hair::hissy: I am trying to be positive and direct her attention to good things YK? arrrgghhhh........ I'm sure Charlie wont be like this ;)

How interesting Kymmy?
You can read my blog. She called me alternative! She knew bub was born at home and I said I was bfing. This was before she assumed we babywear, cosleep, not vax, and use cloth. She was quite honest and open with us which was refreshing.

I agree : what an interesting MCHN appt you had! It's great that she was open minded with you!

well i also ended up putting up our baby tree( 2 foot fibre optic):xmastree: i just couldn't stand the thought of Aby climbing our great big one!(its a huge monstrosity 2M thing that we have no room for!)i really wanted to get a new tree around the 1.5m but hubby said i had to wait till after Xmas sales!:crying:
the sad thing is that i have slowly collected "nice" ornaments (buy one pretty one every year for the tree and one for the kids) but they wouldn't fit! so there sitting artfully on our TV cabinet
thinking about starting my pressie wrapping but keep putting it off ( delayed gratification:o) i looove wrapping pressies!
to be honest i dont have much of a connection with my mchn, not that she isn't pleasant just very well ehh
i co sleep with Rowyn but its mainly as I'm to lazy to get up in the night!
did the same with Aby she started sleeping in her cot all night at about 12-14 months and never had a problem with moving in to her own bed (hubby thought she would sleep with us forever!)

Renee I hope you get a good night tonight, Oliver too has been getting better lately and I really hopes this continues.

well i got one of my girls to sit on santa's knee today for a photo!!! couldn't put up much of a fight! no smiles, just one without her fist in her mouth! the other hand was too busy grabbing a handful of santa's beard!!

I really want a santa pic but am nearly too scared to take them all in LOL! lastyear I took my own pic at home and printed the pics in bigW with Xmas borders and enclosed those with my Xmas cards....that was much easier but I will give Santa a try, I will probably have to sit in again...

Hey there Lisa Good to hear from you, keep trooping along luv you are doing a fine job and are an excellent mother, don't doubt yourself you sound like such a caring mother, lucky little Oscar.

I also too from time to time feel like my supply is really low but he is simply just drinking heaps. You MUST keep drinking heaps of water and try to rest and this will replenish your supply. Some nights I have felt like he might still be hungry but after a while he gets his hindmilk and is happy.

Fleur DH does shift work too and he has hassles getting to sleep, his pattern is really messed up. Is Miss Abby in bed yet?? Mine are still messing around in their room and Oliver is asleep...should be the other way around LOL!

James had his Xmas Concert today, it was sooooo cute, he did really good. However, it was stinking hot so we kinda didn't hang around for too long as Oliver was asleep in my arms and he felt like a hot water bottle! Got heaps on everyday until Monday so feeling tired just thinking about carting the kids around. Plus, I decided to break our fixed home loan today and feel happy about that as it hasn't cost us heaps like some poor people.

Ahh, the kids are both asleep...

Just a quick one before I hand over the computer to DP... Lisa, we don't have a daytime routine as such (it was interesting reading everyone else's replies btw, thanks!) but we do follow the feed-play-sleep cycle as best as possible. It's so hard when you have things you have to do away from home though.

Today she got up about 8am, feed, play, and was back down by 9.30, spent part of her up time in the rocker in the bathroom watching me and DS shower (hey, it's a good toddler activity when you have a whole day to fill!). Then she woke up again about 10.30 and we headed off to a toddler birthday party and I fed her at 11am there, we came home at 12pm and she went back to bed, I left her right arm out this time because she is getting good at self soothing with her right hand. Then I put DS to bed too and then I had a rest!! Then she got up about 2pm, DS got up about 2.30pm and we messed around and then walked the dogs together at about 3.30. She should have dropped off in the pram but she kind of grizzled most of the way then fell asleep right near home, so I left her in the pram for her afternoon nap, then she got up again about 5pm. Then it's a bit of a battle to keep her up and not overtired until bath at 7.30pm and fast asleep by 8! This usually involves quiet rocker time plus a lot of boob to shut her up :)

Okay that's my average day lol.

Kymmy What is BLW? I tried to find your blog but no luck...I have enjoyed following your journey.

I had better go to sleep soon, all is quite here atm. I just turned the lights off on a very untidy house, would luv it to be all nice in the morning but I would be dreaming.

My MIL is coming over Xmas for 5 nights and I find myself much much busier as I like to have things 1/2 decent when she is around.

Just dropping in to say  to everyone!

Sorry but no personals from me tonight. I spent all day today doing housework and tending to kids needs so what's left of my brain is now rather fried. All 3 kids went to sleep as soon as they went to bed tonight so that saved me some energy....I only wish I had some left to transfer to my brain.

:hugs: all round whether you need em or not!

Hey everyone :D

Just a quicky from me before I got bed too

Judy you and me both tonight woohoo it was quite funny actually I layed in bed with a child on each boob Hayley dropped first so I rolled her over and then put Izzy in his cot and they were both out of it ahh it was bliss. You sound buggered

Kymmy I did read your blog :D you have such a way with words had to laugh about you being alternative though I too think its NORMAL

Teapot fairy I'm not even putting up the chrissy tree this yr DD would rip it to shreds, we have chrissy at family members houses so on christmas day she can pull theirs apart haha

I have no routine either but for the last week Izzy has slept anywhere from 12-13.5hrs straight I feel blessed to be quite honest lets just hope it stays that way

Loz- BLW is baby led weaning google gives you heaps of info and theres a link on the first page of this thread if it hasnt been removed.

I got Aaron to take me shopping today to start chrissy shopping and then thought ah stuff him and got him to look after his children while I had my eyebrows waxed (they were getting a bit out of control) so I feel much better now. Also got the kids photos done with Santa and Hayley loved him ever since she got home she's been telling me about santa very cute!! On another note I'm very unimpressed with the quality of the photos my kids look white either too much flash or the printer was out of ink. I think I'm going to complain tomorrow as they cost me 22 for 2 photos

thats my vent for today

Hi Girls,

Haven't posted in a while but have been keeping an eye on all of you ;)!

All is well here. Miss. Amelia is growing so much! All the stuff I bought her for the first 6 weeks of her life (Supposedly) is now fitting (Largeish 000's)! But it's all white and grey and yellow...still haven't had a 'what a beautiful boy' comment yet... but I'm waiting for it!

Amelia has discovered that she can roll over from her tummy to her back (She did it once or twice a few weeks ago, but never again till now!) So tummy time now consisits of me putting her on her tum and watching her roll, then repeat and repeat etc. till one of us gets sick of it! I'm sure once she's over the 'thrill' of being able to roll she will enjoy laying on her tummy for a bit longer than 5 secs! She shows no interest in wanting to roll from her back to her tummy yet.

She is also beocming very vocal which I love! When I sing to her - she kinda sings back! It's more of a squeal, but I love it all the same!

We don't have a strict routine here either. It is very much guided by Amelia. If she is active - we play. Tired - she sleeps and obviosly Hungry - she feeds. It seems to work well. She has 2 - 3 sleeps a day. One big one (2-3 hours) and 2 small ones (1 hour). She sits in her bouncer and watches me have a shower in the mornings - I think she quite enjoys it the little perve! Then we have the bath, feed sleep routine at night which see's her in bed somewhere between 6 and 7.30pm (Daddy manages this one!)

Won't do personals, as I have missed so much, but just wanted to say Hi To Fleur and Taren and there was someone else....Can't remember...sorry! Welcome to the Septemberries, you won't find a nicer bunch of ladies!

It is so nice that we are all friends on FB now! I have to admit I spend alot more time on there than here as It also enables me to keep in touch with all the other ppl in our life!

I have a Hens Night for one of my GF's who is getting married in a few weeks this Sat nite. My besty and I have organised it and I can't wait! It is at a cocktial lounge and we will be having some lovely drinks and cocktail food and basically running amok and embarrasing the bride to be!

I am a BM in the wedding which is on the 27th Dec. We have had the dresses made - they are RED! Not exactly subtle considering myself and the other BM have just had babies (But whatever the bride wants she gets as it's her day)! Nothing says 'Look at me' like red! They are nice dresses, so I can't really complain, but I still feel fat! Will post some pics on FB after the wedding. Will prob post some pics of the Hens Nite too!

I hope you are all well, I am so glad to hear that all the bubs are doing so well! :hugs:

P.S I have also got my SS pressie - I cheated and found out who I had a few weeks ago as I was doing a big online order for chrissy pressies for all my nieces and nephews! I plan on wrapping it tonight and posting it tomorrow! Yay! I LOVE Christmas!!!

Taren - I dont know how you manage to do all that shopping with all 3 when the shops are so crazy, i love to go shopping but not when its this busy, even when im alone! Good luck getting all of your shopping done soon.

Sarah - Hope you have an awesome night at the hen's night on sat. Look forward to seeing some pics soon! yah for Amelia's size and being able to roll from tummy to back now. they just grow way to fast hey!

Jordan - yah for getting your shopping started and getting some time to get your eyebrows done, little things like that help.

Hi Girls
Took Piper to docs today - her belly button still hasn't healed from birth, despite a go with silver nitrate! Nothing can be done, so we're just waiting for it to heal, with a bit of help of the betadine.
On the way back to the car from the chemist I was crossing the road in the carpack and fell over! My ankle buckled under me, but the worst thing was that the pram also came down - with Piper in it!!! :crying: Thank god I strap her in! I was so worried that we'd get run over by a car, but thankfully that didn't happen. Also, NO ONE helped us!!! What is the deal with that? She wasn't hurt either, but was crying as she got a real fright - as did I! She settled after a cuddle, but I was a mess (and still am 2 hours later when I talk about it!).
I also had her weighed - she's still on 5190gm, so she's officially gained a kilo since birth - finally! WOO HOO

MCHN has changed her tune all of a sudden, stating that she's very happy with the weight gain (still at the same rate as 3 weeks ago), and I am to continue what I am doing (what I was doing 3 weeks ago). This is completely the opposite of 3 weeks ago, when she said I had to wake Piper through the night  and that she wasn't gaining enough! I just can't work that woman out!

Plus, I got a call from Mickie - her computer has blown up (literally!), and she obviously can't log on. She says hi to everyone, and I've caught her up on most of the goss. I also provided her with the Secret Santa details, as she hadn't recieved her PM with who she is buying for.

I have also got my gift - I bought it a few weeks ago, but I had the benefit of being the organiser, so I knew who I could buy for !

Heading off shortly to see photos that were taken of Piper by photographers at the plaza. I bought a keychain, and paid $7 for the sitting and get a free photo. No doubt they will try to rope me into buying a pic, but we'll see how we go! I will scan the photo and put up a copy this arvo - we bought a new printer the other day which has a scanner, so no more photographing my chemist photos for you every month

Sarah: Don't you agree that there is a benefit of having small bubbies are that they are in their clothes longer - Piper is still only in 000 too!

Fleur: So, have you managed to dress Aby yet, or is the sock still lonely LOL

Jordan: Yay for you for leaving the kids and pampering yourself (ie. forcefully removing hair from your face with hot wax LOL) It's about time he stepped up a bit! How is that all going anyway hon? I think about you quite often, and wonder if you are coping ok.

Judy: Good on you for doing the housework yesterday! I still haven't done mine! However, I did clean out my closet for the Salvos, and pulled out about 4 or 5 garbage bags of clothes - now I have no excuse for the piles of washing at the end of my bed - there's now room for them. Talk about the backfire of a plan! HEHEHE

Loz: So nice that your little man got to stretch his creative muscles with the concert! Baylee and Kaiden have theirs tomorrow night! I love them, but I am so sick of hearing "oh mum, I just can't wait until Friday!" I hear it about 20 times a day - it's driving me nuts! I will post some pics on the weekend if I get any good ones.

I think thats about it girls. I shall speak with you all later.
And, for those on the weight-loss challenge - I have you all in my sights, and you are all goin' down

Jordan apparently I was so buggered that I didn't hear Jasmine fall out of bed and scream the house down at 3am! Luckily DP did though. Re: xmas tree - so far Jasmine has only tried to steal a bell and a ball a day so I'm quite happy with her.
Yes you are VERY blessed to have a bub who sleeps up to 13hrs. I'm lucky if Deon sleeps 10hrs at a time.

Fleur I had a giggle at your nudey baby with just one sock on. The socks are the first things to go when Jasmine strips off. Hey you sound like me forgetting appointments! That's something I usually do unless I put it in my mobile so that my phone beeps at me.

Lavinia I hope those vitamins kick in fast so that you feel better asap.

Sarah I'm so jealous that Amelia can roll over. Deon has only just begun having tummy time due to his hernia and he's such a little buddha that when he does roll, I'm worried he's gonna keep rolling. Can't wait to see your pics of you all dressed up!

Taren I hope your day got a bit better than it was earlier. Sounds like you've been run off your feet there.

Cass I hope the betadine works for poor Piper's belly button. Times like this make you wish that Mercurochrome was still available....that was good sh!t, that stuff!
I can't believe that NO ONE helped you today!!! That is plain disgusting! I could understand if it was a guy who fell over but not a lady with a pram. Wtf is the world coming to?
Thanks for the update on Mickie.....please tell her I said hello and with a bit of luck Santa will bring her a new pc.
BTW that pic of Piper is adorable!

Me - I finally wrapped my SS present tonight and will be posting it tomorrow. :smiliedance:
I had a better day today seeing as I got some sleep last night. I even got the rest of the folding done this arvo and got some more xmas shopping done tonight...ON MY OWN. That means no kids in tow! Don't you just love it when they're all in bed and you can leave em home with DP!
Oh yeah, Deon has decided to feed 4hrly as of today so that must be why he has been feeding 2-2.5 hrly the past 2 days. He has increased my supply and every time he feeds it's like he's never gonna get fed again. It's a welcome change as I got to spend so much more time with Jasmine today. :D

Such a busy day today..
Congrats on the girls starting their weight loss challenge. I'm already lower than I've been in a LONG time, but still want to lose about 5kgs.
Hubby had me in the gym last night doing a circuit of 16 exercises, so tomorrow i'll probably be a bit sore!
Trying to finish off a bit of xmas shopping. i've done the kids (plus secret santa ;)), but i'm finding it very difficult to think of things for the adults...
had a parent-teacher i/v at day care today for DD1, and all is well, she's ready for big school! she has her 'graduation' next week with their xmas party. my kids go to abc, and their centre is currently under review - hope to hear some good news tomorrow, it's a great centre, the ladies their are great and the kids always seems happy.
on saturday i'm going to be a godmother!

Teto
05-12-2008, 19:24
Lisa I had such an awful time the first time I breastfed with DS. Everyone would say it settles down after a couple of weeks, then it was a month, then six weeks, then eight, and the whole time I was thinking I couldn't go on because it was painful and I dreaded most feeds. It wasn't until probably three months in that I started to imagine that I could breastfeed long term, and everything just slowly got better, quicker, pain free etc. If you want to breastfeed, I can offer you my 100% support and wishes. It is worth it, and you will get there!

Oh, my question is: Cameo hasn't pooed for at least three days now. This is the first time she's gone more than a day without it. She's feeding well and doesn't seem bothered, although she was unusually cranky for a time this afternoon. When should I start to worry about this?

hayleysmummy

First of all I apologise for not being around much I am ashamed to admit I'm addicted to cloth nappies again and it's consuming all my time on the internet :embarrassment: so now I'm going to catch up

Cass- I really am fine now I have come to realise I have my 2 beautiful babies what more could I want? thanks for thinking of me, the pic of PIP is adorable and I have to see she has changed quite a bit she's getting her own features where as in the pic of the 3 girls at the same age where they all look exactly the same. I cannott believe nobody helped you some people are plain scum arent they :hugs: thanks for the update on Nevada gosh I hope things start to get better for her soon this would be so stressful for her not too mention how worried she would be

Oh Judy- we've had plenty of accidents with DD falling out of bed its a con to co-sleeping I think. I hope Jas is ok they are pretty tough cookies though.Yay for you getting some one on one time with Jasmine she would have been in her element.

Jel Marley's eyes are beautiful, she looks cheeky already

Mia I hope your feeling a bit better this afternoon and Cameo lets mummy have a sleep tonight. How are things going with Rip? I have been told breastfed bubs can go 5-7 days between poos I wouldnt worry just yet

Kymmy- I love what you've done with the pic of J and I have to say I'm very jealous of his beautiful skin

Danielle I am hoping and praying that they can get to the bottom of what is causing Nevada these troubles big hus and kisses to you both

Pink why are you dreading feeds? is it the letdown is it painful? It may be worth looking into it as there may be something going on  but hey whatever you decide to do you have my 100% support :hugs:

Gurl- Dont you know that all children, doesnt matter what age know exactly when you are about to sit down therefore they play up haha its no fun is it

Me: I think Izzies night sleeps are his way of giving mummy a break overnight He screams everyday and its a VERY painful scream sometimes I just want to curl up in a ball and scream I'm taking him to the doctor because I know there is something wrong he's also been a bit spewy so I'm guessing reflux I just cant handle it sometimes :(

Good evening

Well, DH is on 3 nights so have been pretty busy this evening and am heading out shopping with the all the boys tomorrow. Then visiting my sister on Sunday as she has a litter of Staffy pups the boys want to see, they are about 5 weeks now and quite entertaining I am told .

BIG :hugs: to Danielle. I felt so worried when I read that she only drunk 30ml for a good part of the day but the dr's aren't so concerned??? We are all thinking of you all and hope this is resolved really soon for you. I can't believe you keep being sent home with no definite answer, very frustrating for you..and I wanted to give a BIG EXTRA hug to Nevada :hugs:.

Cass Sorry to hear about your accident, a fall can leave you shaking for ages afterwards especially since you had Pip with you. I don't always strap Oliver in and from now on I will. So glad to hear you are all ok and so very dissapointed to hear no-one helped you, society can be so crappy!!! :yelclap: 2.6kg, that is excellent, good on you!

Jordan I hope Izzy's crying settles for you but is does sound like Reflux. I bet u are glad he sleeps well at night which gives you some time to recover from those hard moments in the day. Oliver too has started sleeping well so I am stoked as my sleep is golden having to face those other 2 I have LOL, what's their names again? ;)

Mia 3 days plus can be very normal, I have heard something like a week or more can be ok. I bet she poo's tonight or tomorrow and it will be huge. I can recall the boys going about 3-4 days then the nappy explosion happens. Oliver is usually cranky before pooing as he seems to working on it iykwim.

Lisa Do you really have your period? That is early for a completely b/f baby, can also be normal though. I also know that when you do get them bub becomes a bit unsettled as it changes the taste of the milk a bit. You are doing a great job b/f, what does Oscar weigh now?

Georgia Those cookies sound yummy, I am too scared I will eat all of them, I am such a pig with sweet things, no control whatsover!

Jel Marley is very cute! Hope you're not too sore after yesterdays 'abuse'. ;)

Cass thanks for the update from Danielle. I hope she doesn't stress too much considering the dr's aren't worried about little Nevada. How's your ankle today?

Danielle thinking of you and Nevada and still hoping she comes good and that you find out what the problem is real soon.

Taren I hope you enjoyed the movie with the kids. I tend to get on here once my 2 littlies are in bed for the night....no worries about being interrupted that way.

Lisa keep persisting hun and it'll get better and better. You're a fantastic mummy and a strong one too. I have heard that the lactation cookies are brilliant so get baking and start munching!

Mia Jasmine only ever used to poo once every 7-9 days (she was exclusively BF) and my paed told me not to worry at all as BF babies can go up to 14 days without a poo. Cameo is perfectly normal hun.

Jordan it's wonderful to hear that you are happy these days and I have to agree with you that you have 2 beautiful babies. It sure sounds like Izzy could have reflux.....Deon can be like that and he has silent reflux.

Loz YAY for finally getting some sleep! Don't worry about what those other 2 are called....if they want something they will find you so you really don't need to know their names.

Me - Deon is on day 2 of 4 hourly feeds and it's lovely having all that time in between feeds. The only downfall is that I had to express last night cos my right boob was like a rock and I couldn't sleep the way I usually do. If that's all I have to do to keep him happy and content then I don't mind pumping every night for some personal comfort. Ohhhh we had a breakthrough today. I put Jasmine in her big bed at 11:30am for a nap and told her not to argue with me and she actually went to sleep for 2 hrs. That's the first ever daytime nap in her big bed so I'm going to see if it can be done every day from now on....she really needs it cos she can be unbearable at times when she's overtired. The peace and quiet was absolutely wonderful!

 to everyone else and :hugs: all round.

 all, off to bed now no personals sorry, just wanted to get off my chest what happened to my beautiful little girl tonight.

Yasmine has been training for a dance concert (actually, 4 over this weekend), She has been dancing every Wednesday for only 5 weeks, and they said she is doing really well and they wanted her to go in the concert. So I have been running my tail off all week with rehearsals (Sat, Sun, Tues, Wed and Thurs ) and she has been working so hard and so excited.

Anyway, excitement today was in overdrive, first to pick up the costume, and then to get ready and go to the concert. Anyway, I did her hair and make up, and dressed her and off we went. We had to wait for 45 mins for her turn, and then about 5 mins before......BLACKOUT.......in the whole suburb. So they cancelled it, and rescheduled for Sunday night. So now, at 11am and 7.30pm on Saturday and Sunday, we have to go through all this again.

She was just crushed. She was so brave, you could see she wanted to cry, but she didn't until I got her to the car, and took her skirt off and then she burst into tears :crying: Poor little mite. It was so hard to explain to her what had happened. She was even saying that she didn't want to come back tomorrow :(

So hopefully she has a good sleep tonight and wakes up positve. My parents and brother and sister are coming down tomorrow and are going to the evening show, and DH and I are going to the morning show, and we have brought her a ticket so she will watch all the older girls which I think she will love.

Anyway, you didn't really need to read all that, just wanted to get it off my chest, as I was really upset for her :crying:

ullo girls
Sarah I'm so jealous that Amelia has started rolling!! Rowyn roll on to his sides but thats it(in his endless quest for more boobies)
though he is starting to yell out for attention which is cute
Cass ppl are just to rude to help these days weather its because you fell( did the same with Aby still haven't been back to that car park!) or Even hold the door open when your pushing a pram full of kids!
hubby collects replica swords, he got a 10 ft tall pike (a big axe like thing with a sharp point for stabbing on a thick ash/oak pole) for the first Xmas after Aby was borne he calls it his "dating stick" lol
CCsSuprise i had Aby fall out of bed a few times started just putting pillows on the floor so she had a soft landing:D
socks are about the only article of clothing i can get on Aby (unless it has ELMO, or DOROTHY on it any way) I'm so envious of you getting jasmine to go down for a nap Aby seems to be dropping them all together and personally i could do with the hour break but she still spends at least 30 min in her cot having quiet time
i also got my folding done today now Ive just got to put it away, then start the whole process again tomorrow:hissy:
Jel is she all exited about the move to big school? my little brother actually got his kindy uniform from Santa as a Xmas present and wore it on Xmas day:laughing:
Flick sympathies on the teething
Gurlmakes3 personally i dont think i could sit through high-school musical so kudos on that!i still haven't seen any cleaning fairies around my place but at least the F*#K up fairy seems to have buggered off!
Pinkangel what do you feel is the problem with the BFing? have you seen a lactation consultant?
Mia BF babies can go up to 10 days at times with no poo Rowyn poops about every 3-4 days now and Jesus they are huge! if its a poo day and we are leaving the house i take at least 2 changes of clothes for him and a spare shirt for my self!(learnt that the hard way with Aby!)
Hayleysmummy I'm so glad your feeling better today:goodvibes: there is nothing on this earth more grating on a mothers nerves then when her baby just cries and you cant settle them
i tried to explain to hubby once how it made me feel physical pain in away
have you thought about taking Izzy to a chrio or osteopath for reflux/ colic?
Loz dont come home with a puppy! even if it is all the boys want Santa to bring for Xmas!:noel:
sissy that is just so sad about her dance
but I'm sure with the resilience of children every where the little diva in all girls will be able to preform tomorrow!
well it is bloody hot here tonight to hot to think properly, Bfing Rowyn is like holding a sweaty hot water bottle! but i still love it, I'm trying to self justify my growing addiction to baby slings (started with 1 with Aby ended up with three now i have 5 and I'm looking at more) by telling myself Ive given up my shoe addiction so ergo i can buy more slings as I'm buying less shoes sounds good right?

Donna Oh poor Yasmine, how dissapointing for for her. We are sitting here watching Angelina Ballerina so thinking of Yasmine as a dancing mouse now LOL! I hope she feels more positive this morning and ready to perform again :goodvibes:. :yelclap: for Yas trying so hard too.

Sarah How clever is Miss Amelia , she certainly is forward rolling so early. You must be proud of her cleverness!

Jel Love the pics...she is soooo chubby! What a beauty, Olly is much smaller and they were born the same day she is like a little doll.

Fleur It is damn hot here too!! I don't think the temp changed all night. Plus it is going to be 32 today and we are going to Forster to Xmas shop at Kmart, maybe not a great idea. I don't have a sling but would love one...where to start. LOL at the puppy comment, hell no!!! We have 2 big dogs hanging at the back door all day now, 2 horses, a few chooks, a fox terrior and a cat plus the kids and DH is enough! Most of the animals are my mums though, she lives in a flat on our property.

Judy Good girl Jas, I hope she does it again for you and now u know she can...2hrs is good too.

Better go and get the day rolling .

Had a terrible night, I was restless, it was hot and boys have a chesty thing going on so I think I woke about 10 times but feeling ok now.

hi everyone
THANKS CASS for keeping everyone informed about us
If i had of been in the car park i would of helped u people r soooo rude
i was at my nephews concert for school and we had a mat on the ground and people just walked all over it
then another woman hit tarrant in the head with a bag i said something and she looked at me and ignored me i was furious

jordan i m thinking of u hopefully its reflux and it can be delt with i feel for u mate

nevada isnt sleeping through but i think it has to do with the lack of feeding so :smiliedance::smiliedance:to those whos kids do

well as cass was saying we came out of hospital monday with NO answers NO medication and NO help at all come tuesday nevada has pretty much started doing the same thing again and from 8 in the morning to 5:30 in the arvo she drank 30ml i was hysterical i was on the floor just holding her and crying and i made myself so upset that i threw up (sorry tmi) i didnt know what to do
then my sister rang and i had her crying at work so i eventually i went to mums house and stayed there the night but still really no better hey
i had nevada weighed yesterday and her weight is 4750g her length is 59.5cm and her head is 38.5cm
when we left hospital she was 4800g i just cant work it out
thanks for listening girls its nice to get it off my chest

I;m so cranky - I just lost a whole post that took me about 20 mins to write! :hair: They've gotta work out a better way, coz all I did was touch my keyboard and it all deleted ?????

Danielle: Hugs for you! As I said yesterday, just be persistant with the doctors if you feel something is wrong. I know how worried I was with Pip, and she was at least gaining weight!

Donna: How's Yas today? Bay would have been devastated last night if she couldn't perform in her concert.

Mia: they say BF bubs can go a week without a poo. My girls were 2-3 per day, so I never really understood that.

Jordan: try to take some time out. If Izzy's crying, just close the door for 5 mins and try to block it out. I've had to do it before, and there's no shame in needing some space for a few minutes. We've all had days where we have struggled, and in 5 years of parenting, I've had more than my fair share! It gets better.

Loz: sorry to hear you had a sh!t sleep chick! Try to get a nap this arvo if you can.

Judy: my ankle is fine, thanks for asking. Just the drawback of playing netball for many years I suppose.
Also, yay for you with Deon feeding 4 hourly and Jas having a nap in her big-girl bed :yelclap:

Fleur: I understand your comment re: feeding bub is like feeding a hot water bottle that's sprung a leak! I had to laugh, coz that's what it was like feeding Piper last night at the concert! Didn't seem to bother her though.

Me: Below are some pics of last night. Kaidy refused to get on stage, and refused to meet Santa.
Busy weekend for us. Today we have swimming fro 11.15-12.00, Mick's chrissy work party from 12-4, then Mick's sisters b'day bbq 65km away from 6pm. No doubt won't be on here again today!

Piper and Bay with Santa - Pip slept through the whole thing and missed her first meeting

Cass - those pics are just gorgeous! I cant believe that no-one helped you, thats just so rude. How is your ankle going? I hope you have a good bbq today and fun swimming lessons :)

Danielle - lots of :hugs: to you, are you still heading to the hospital to see if they can help you out? It seems so strange that they wouldnt be concerned about only drinking 30ml, especially as its so hot up here in qld already! Hope you get some answers really soon! :hugs:

Leece - Thats a massive sleep, woohoo! At least you got some cleaning done to

Its way to hot here! yuck to go outside so might go for another swim this arvo! we had an end of year work breakie yesterday, interesting, it was more like what things need to improve etc and what people have been doing wrong.
Cant wait to start work again wednesday, not!

Have a good weekend girls

06-12-2008, 15:13
I wouldn't worry too much Leece. He's prob going thro a growth spurt and needing to sleep more. If he's happy the rest of the time and not floppy or lethargic and is feeding well - enjoy the time to yourself!

Lavin - Poor you having to go back to work nxt wk! I hope it's not too bad. Wish it was warm here! Just coldish - where is summer???

Amy - Thanx for checking in hun - been thinking bout you. Hope you can get the help you need, We'll be here for you when you're ready to come back.

Cass - Poor Kaidy! That looks sore! How cute is Baylee doing her dance! Can't wait til Amelia is doing that kinda stuff - makes you so proud I'll bet. Pip looks so cute in her chrissy outfit! Enjoy your busy weekend!

Dani - Been thinking of you and Nevada and Tarrant. I agree with Cass - If you're worried - be forceful with the Docs - sometimes they forget that Mum knows their child inside out. Try another hospital perhaps and explain that you yourself are also struggling (You must look after yourself). Also hun - I can't stress enough - take all the community supprt you can get. If you can have a nurse come daily to check on you - do it. All those sorts of services are there to be used and can help so much. Big hugs. xoxo

Loz - Hope you have a better night tonight and the boys are more settled for you. It's hard to sleep when it's hot. I struggle with sleep at the best of times, but the heat always makes it worse.

Fleur - *LOL* at your baby sling addiction! Mine was grobags when I was preggars, but now I'm back on to the shoes - bought a pair today actually! I NEEDED them - that's what I'm telling DH anyway!

Donna - Poor little Yas! Hope she recovers and has a great time at the concert today/tonight!

Think that's it? Sorry if I missed anyone!

I am baby-free today. Had a dress fitting this morning and then did some shopping at the local mall - the shops were madness. That is the last time I'll go there till after Chrissy I think. DH has taken Amelia up to the farm to visit his parents. I am a little lost without her!
Got my GF's Hens Night tonight - so really looking forward to letting my hair down and having a few drinks (a fair few probably...there is one advantage to being unable to BF!)

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend - prob wont be back on till Monday - May have a bit of a sore head 2morro???

Kymmy im not sure which state your in but hopefully J's cert doesn't take long to arrive, we sent Hunters in when he was a week old and only got it Tuesday this week...

Victoria seems quite effecient. Because there was no mw or dr at the birth we just have to provide some 'proof'. But hopefully wont take long. Just me is slow!

First of all I apologise for not being around much I am ashamed to admit I'm addicted to cloth nappies again and it's consuming all my time on the internet :embarrassment: so now I'm going to catch up

Kymmy- I love what you've done with the pic of J and I have to say I'm very jealous of his beautiful skin

Oh yes the mcn addiction!

I am jealous of his skin too. He is our lightest though! Just not as white as me.

I broke DS's bedtime routine and took him out on a special mummy-son date tonight, to see the lighting of the giant Christmas tree in town and Santa's arrival etc. He was such an angel and I am so glad I did it, it was magic holding my 2yo boy while he pointed at the big tree and the moon and the fountains and things, brought a tear of joy to my eye!

Cameo is going very well and she pooped twice today thanks very much!

After several days of feeling rotten I have buckled and got some antibiotics to go on, I don't know if they really do anything but I have to try something.

Hey everyone

mia - hope the anti-b kick in soon! I don't know how you've survived so long in pain :hugs: Glad to hear Cameo finally pooped! Darcie seems to be every 2/3 days at the moment. That sounds like you and Ripley had a magical evening!

Jel - marley is def a cutie and Darcie seems to look chubbier in photos too! why is that!?

Leece - to the name change! Hope you have enjoyed your day with a sleepy Jack! I reckon growth spurt too if he is still alert during wake period and feeding well!

Georgia - sorry to hear you had a bad night! Hope the kids get better soon and you get some sleep tonight!

donna - hope Yasmine went ok at her dance recital. It nearly broke my heart when I read your post earlier - poor chicken!

Lisa - hope Oscar is behaving himself for you lately. How often is he feeding? Also a lot of bubs who have reflux or are colicky like to suck for comfort even if they aren't really hungry which is why they pull on and off. Unfortunately this creates more wind which means more sucking - a vicious cycle really! Also do you have a routine at all? If not I recommend getting the book "the baby whisperer" by tracy hogg. It really helped Cooper and I understand each other! Feel free to PM if you have any questions.

Cass - awesome photos! you must be very proud of Bay! and she looks like she had a ball! poor Kaidy and her owie!

Sarah - hope you are absolutely blind right about now! HOpe your head isn't too sore tomorrow morning!

Amy - hope things start improving soon! have you seen a counsellor yet? Please feel free to whinge a way here as you have been such a great support to us all I'm sure we can be the same for you!

Dani - I can understand your worry even if the dr's aren't! I would be pushing until I found answers if I was you cause I'm sure 30mls isn't right. lots of hugs.

kymmy - lol at your "trusted drs"! I love your outlook on life!

A big  to anyone I've missed!

Us - going pretty good. Darcie is sleeping well at night although not so great during the day. Re-arranged Coopers room the other day which meant taking down the cot! *sniff* my little baby is growing up! Have my SIL baby shower tomorrow! She is due in Jan so very exciting as this is DS and DD first cousin! She is freaking out a little bit now though cause she saw a birthing video -

Anyways I'm off to bed! Nicko is asleep on couch so I get the bed to myself - woo hoo!

Cheers, shaz :D

Cripes Jordan :( although at first I thought you meant YOU were pregnant and I was like whoa! That is really awful for you.

Shazza I have been wondering about kids rooms lately. Cami is in our room and Rip is in the room next door and we have one other spare/guest room. I am wondering if any of you have successfully had kids (two years apart) share a room, what with different sleeping patterns and all. It would allow us to keep a guest room which would be nice. ??

Leece - you've changed your username :smiliedance:
I bled for about 10 or 11 weeks with Baylee too! It wasn't pleasant, but just keep an eye out on it.

Mia - my two oldest are together, but they are both preschoolers, so I'm not much help!

US - had a hectic but lovely day yesterday, but didn't get home til 10.45pm. Kaidy then threw a 30min tantrum - the "my parents are murdering me scream" kind. Not fun at 11pm! Plus, I was freaking out the cops would be called coz Kaidy has that wicked black eye - wouldnt' look good  LOL
Today we've been keeping the big kids busy. We set up a painting station, and a shaving cream station, some buckets of water and making paper boats. Mick also took them down for a walk to get rolls for lunch, and they've been keeping busy. You know what they say - A bored child is a naughty child! How true! They've been great all day! We haven't turned the tv on yet (miracle in our house!), and they haven't asked for it yet (even bigger miracle!)

Hope you all are enjoying the end of your weekend, and I'll chat soon

Hi ladies! Today is the 7th and my little man is now 3 months old....I can't believe he's been here for so long already! Doesn't the time fly when you're having fun? (either that or I've been too busy to notice the time go by) :p

Donna I feel for poor little Yasmine. I hope she enjoys being part of the concert tonight.

Fleur I had a laugh at your obsession. I got over my shoe obsession years ago but now I seem to have acquired an obsession for girls clothes and also baby clothes. It's so hard NOT to buy something when it's staring at you!

Loz Jasmine is currently having a nap..WOOHOO! I hope you're getting some sleep there.

Danielle :hugs: hun. Those dr's had better get their a$$es into gear and work out what's wrong with Nevada soon. Keep at them and as others have said - you know your baby better than they do so push them into action.

Cass the pics of the girls are adorable! Bay really did 'get into it'. lol Ouch at poor Kaidy's shiner!

Leece I like the new nic! Good to see you're no longer worried about Jack's sleeping but YUK at still bleeding. :fingerscrossed: it stops.

Amy :hugs:hun......hope you're having a good weekend.

Lavinia I bet you're really looking forward to Wednesday....NOT.

Sarah How's your hangover?

Georgia Is Sophia better today?

Leonie your late night date brought a tear to my eye just reading it. I bet Rip loved it! Yay for Cameo pooping lol

Jordan What a pr!ck of a thing to find out....some guys just never learn, do they? Huge:hugs: your way.

Shazza I know how you feel taking down the cot. I reckon it's worse for us mum's than the kids.

Well sorry about the long post. We had DP's work xmas do yesterday and it was sooo boring. At least the food was yummy. Then we had visitors last night. Atm I have bob, DS2 on the PS2 and Jasmine is having a nap so it's peaceful....until DP gets home and starts the whipper snipper again.

 to everyone else!!!

Hi girls

Just wanted to update a pic of poor Kaidy: it's not pretty!
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z131/cassvanm/kids051.jpg (http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z131/cassvanm/kids051.jpg)

Also, I was also thinking it was amazing that Piper is 11 weeks old. She is so strong, and I no longer need to support her neck any longer. She tries to sit up when we lie her down, and she's just so spunky!
Here is an update pic taken today - she's watching her big sisters doing a concert, and she's in between giggles:
http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z131/cassvanm/kids018.jpg (http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z131/cassvanm/kids018.jpg)

Here she is as an Evil Villain! Sorry, her hands just look like she's plotting something!:

Jordan What a sh1t!!!!! You are soooo better off without him, you are an amazing woman and I envy your strength as a mum..actually you are wondermum! I feel so cross for you :hugs::hugs::hugs:.

Jel I know Dee Why very well, I lived there as a child and returned in my late teens for another 6 years..I still have family in the area. It is unit central!

Judy :smiliedance: Jaz in her bed again!!! What a good girl. What sort of party was that then..DH is next friday and consists of golf and beer pretty much and getting home really late.

Leece I bet u are so sick of the bleeding hanging around. I really hope it stops soon for you and dosen't come back for ages...like 12 months .

Mia (or is it Leonie?) Your date with Rip sounds lovely, I would love to do more of that with the boys or at least one boy for some one on one.

Our day has been ok suprisingly, DH slept all day and has now gone to work but I was able to keep the boys under control enough to allow him to rest.

However, Oliver has been cat napping for a few days now :hair:, 1/2 hr here and there... Plus he had conjunctivits in one eye then days later worse in the other, it actually shut yesterday and I kept putting breast milk in it and it healed it so quickly. He is so lovely, I just adore everything he does though and constantly smiles, omg they just get cuter and cuter.

I tried packing up Oliver's 0000 clothes and had to stop and the bonds suits were breaking my heart, they are so addictive in those suits. Plus, I have many outfits that all three boys have worn, I will be keeping these ones forever for keepsakes.

Oh Cass, she is just adorable, I see why you keep posting pics of her. She too looks so chubby. Poor Kaidy's eye, that is a beauty! What a very brave Miss

I especially loved the Villan shot, well said..her little chubby hands and expression says it all.

Cripes Jordan :( although at first I thought you meant YOU were pregnant and I was like whoa! That is really awful for you.

 I had a feeling someone would read it quickly and have to re-read it no not me no way!!!

I have no idea when she's due but going by my calculations she will be due when Izzy is 9 months old but in saying that she is known to be quite a liar so I dont know I'm still shattered at the possibility though because my kids will be the ones that get hurt I just wish [text removed by moderator] sorry girls but I am angry

Loz- I know what you mean I hated packing away Izzies hospy outfit etc and it wont be long before the 000 are packed away too I miss my tiny tiny baby but the smiles and goo gaas he's been giving me lately just melt me

Cass- I just had a look at the pics of Kaidy on FB and farrrrrk thats one big black eye I love the comment on the pic of just her eyes where you've written 'what a lovely shade of blue' (I think) Me being the smart *** I am was thinking 'AND BLACK' but they are beautiful eyes both the girls have and I cannott believe pip with santa and her little pony tail :cloud9:

Judy OMG that means Izzy is 3months too in 10 days :( happy 3rd month Deon, Hayley is 26months today  Shame about the chrissy party but the food would have been the highlight (especially if I was there)

Shazza how was your sleep after having the bed to yourself or did hubby creep in at some ungodly hour? thanks for the hugs

Leece- I'm glad Jack slept well for you last night and lovethe new username, I need one too I have a feeling I'm being stalked but I cannott think of one

Both my children are asleep I took them for a walk around the streets to look at the chrissy lights Hayley loved it and Izzy honestly couldnt care less he was more amused by the dinosaur toy hanging above his head, he's 4 weeks late for needles and I still havent had a pap smear I must ring tomorrow.

Cass, Piper looks so chub, I reckon you should forget all about the weight gain issues and just keep doing what you're doing! She's obviously glowing. Cameo does a funny thing with her hands as well that we call Doctor Evil lol because she turns her little hand over and sort of sticks the little finger in her mouth :)

Loz it is Leonie! but I like going by Mia because I've used it for so long. I too have trouble packing away/giving away the little clothes and keep finding excuses to keep some!

We had a lovely day although I am still quite under the weather. But Cami was an angel and so was Rip. DP took him to see a steam train and this afternoon we took a kite to the park. Our poor 2yo didn't really understand though, poor little nugget, and he kept running between the kite up in the air "myyy kitee!" and the person holding the reel "miiiinnee!", he couldn't decide which, haha.

Over the last few days Cameo has started drooling properly and amusing herself by blowing raspberries and foaming at the mouth. I had forgotten all about this stage, it's so gorgeous.

Okay I'm off to finish some chocolate self saucing pudding I made, mmm.

Jel

cass -gee kaidy has got a shiner hasn't she!! sounds like you had a nice weekend.
mia - any of that pudding left - you're making me drool! yes, the drooling/raspberry stage, remember it well
jordan - geez, i'd be spitting chips :shame:
judy - how's the big boy today! 3 months, can't believe how quickly it has gone.
us - had some friends down today, who have a 7 month old bub. they learn so much so quickly don't they.
done a little photo shoot again today - aren't we all proud mummies showing off our bubs ---now where's everyone else's pics ;)

Cass I agree with Loz....don't worry about what they say about Pipers weight cos she looks pretty darn good from here!

Loz I packed away the 0000's ages ago! Gawd, I've even packed away the 000's cos he's in 00's now.

Jordan you have every right to be angry so vent away. Re: needles and pap smear - don't stress too much if it's late. I didn't even have to have a pap smear as my dr told me I had one after having Jasmine so I'm not due for one. You might be in the same boat as me there.

Mia/Leonie (which do you prefer?) I had a giggle at the 'foaming at the mouth' comment...it reminded me of a movie I saw in which a dog had rabies. Pretty gross compared to pretty cute huh?

Jel your girls could be mistaken for twins they're so much alike. That dress is adorable! Where did you get it from and does it come in bigger sizes? I want one for Jasmine.
Re : hair falling out - Yep mine is doing it too. It always happens around the 3 month mark and usually lasts a few weeks.
Re : Nails splitting - mine have gotten stronger due to NOT having to wash dishes so they're not splitting. The only problem I have atm is that I ripped a nail halfway down the bed so it's rather tender. I'm hoping I don't catch it on anything cos if it rips it's going to tear off the nail bed and that's ouch!

Not much new here...I woke Deon at 9pm to feed and bath him because I didn't want him to wake up at 2am. He should sleep his usual 9hrs now and then wake between 6-7am. I can handle that much better.:D

Good morning girls!
We had a wonderful sleep last night again, and Piper has been up, had her breakfast, had a shower with mummy and is back in bed for her morning nap. The big girls are yet to wake up from their night, so I'm going to have breaky in peace :cloud9:

Jel: your girls are all so very adorable! We are both so lucky to have three girls! I think that if I went back for a fourth I'd want another girl

Judy: How did Deon sleep? Did you get a night through? :fingerscrossed: for you.

loz10
08-12-2008, 07:57
Hope everyone's nights were good at least ok.

Oliver went to bed at 8:30-5:30 with only a quick feed in between around 3am. But, I have been restless and the boys seem to take it turns to wake more than him. They do have a slight cold and are getting over that so it is prob disturbing them a little.

Jel Your girls are so lovely and very alike...OMG kindy next year! My nephew is starting too and my sis is so nervous about it all.

Yep, my hair has been falling out for some weeks now and is a bit limp. As it long and dark it is everywhere atm. It dosen't seem as bad ats as previous times. I can recall just getting handfulls and my pillow covered most mornings. I am now noticing all the short bits around my face that I never had cut like that :detective:.

I have to try and give the boys haircuts today and take a santy pic that I will print with an xmas border at the shops. I will also take them to see santa but don't expect a pic as Nicholas has already said he dosen't want to sit with him.

Nicholas is such a funny little boy..I was sitting on his bed giving him a kiss goodnight and I said I love you with all my heart and he touched my chest and said are they your boobs then asked if they are they for Olly LOL then said I love my baby brother. He communicates so well, has been talking as good as James for ages.

I have been trying to find a Castle for James for Xmas, he really wants one so I must keep hunting.

Morning Cass, you must have had a good nights sleep as you just mentioned that number again.....4 :);). Hope u enjoyed your brekky in peace. My morning have been starting at 5:30 for most days now .

08-12-2008, 08:26
Good morning ladies !

Cass you're lucky to get to eat brekky solo. I'm eating mine atm while Jasmine comes and steals some every now and then. Mind you, she has her own cereal on the dining table but apparently mine tastes better.
Deon slept well last night. My trick worked and he didn't wake until 7am...so that's a 10hr sleep. Gotta be happy with that.

Loz I feel for you not getting a solid night sleep. That would turn me into a zombie if I had to get up as many times as you seem to do. I think I'll try sending your big boys some sleep vibes!
Good luck getting the boys to sit still for haircuts today.....Jasmine hardly ever sits still for me to put a hairtie or clips in.
Re: the castle you're looking for - check out Toys R Us or a large toy store for a castle made by Fisher Price. My big boys used to have one with extra knights, horses, cannons etc. I gave it to charity a few yrs ago as I wasn't having any more kids....so much for that idea huh?

Hope everyone else had a great weekend. :hugs:

loz10
08-12-2008, 08:52
Judy That is an awesome sleep :yelclap:, your tricked worked. I always feel extra proud of the boys when they sleep well so I bet you are feeling very proud of Deon this morning. Oliver went back down about 1.5hrs ago and is still asleep so hopefully getting back on track.

I actually phoned ToysRus yesterday and asked about the Imaginext Fisher Price one (we seem to be thinking of the same item :)) and it is $50 but old stock and I am quite sure there is a better model out now. I would have to drive hrs to get to a store, we only have BigW and Target and Target is limited. Yes, he wants knights and cannons, James just loves pretend play! I don't want to buy it online as the freight will be too much.

WOOHOO the postie just came to my door with 2 parcels for me and one of them was a Secret Santa pressie. Now it's gotta sit around looking pretty until next week!

Has anyone else received their SS pressie yet?

Jordan - that is rotten about your xdp. i can only imagine how furious you must be at him for doing this to your kids. BUT, i can tell you are a strong woman and you will get through it. we are always here to vent to.

Cass - i am addicted to photos of Piper! And your other girls are gorgeous too - they all look so much like you I think!

Loz - I hope Oliver's sleeping gets back on track!

Mia - how are you feeling? Are the a/bs making a difference?

Lisa - are you on the minipill? I have found I get lots of random bleeding on it - no fun at all - so it might not be your period? I was sure about two weeks ago i was getting mine but only got ridiculous spotting for about a week. and now have it again! grrrrr.

I hope my secret santa make it to my person in time - I only got around to ordering it today as I had no boss-free internet time last week at all!!!

Jordan - wtf? what a s**t, we are always here to vent to whenever you need. You are such an amazingly strong person to be dealing with this

Jel - Awesome pics

Judy - What an awesome sleep, you must be stoked with your two parcels, so much better than bills huh! Hope your finger gets better soon so you dont rip it on anything

Cass - omg that eye is a winner! The pics of Piper are just adorable. Hope you enjoyed your breakie by yourself and you have a great day

Sarah - Howd you go on saturday night?

Loz - good luck with your castle shopping, im sure you will find one soon!

Hubby is working day shifts today so we have been keeping busy ourselves, went for a walk to the park after breakie, put little miss down for a nap, vacuumed the house and have organised to have coffee with a mate this arvo. gotta keep busy! still not feeling the greatest but im sure it will get there! Oh and we also put some chrissie baubles up with our names on it, it looks really nice, just need to finish wrapping Mia's pressies from my folks as we bought them up here to save on to much postage money and then ill be all done. woohoo its only 17 days til christmas, pity its 2 days til work  but oh well it might do me good.

have a good week girls! :)

Hi ladies!,
Its taken me ages to catch up, and Ive pretty much forgotten everything I have read!, I had forgotten how much you ladies talk!.
Hi to Taren!, Sorry its a bit late, but nice to meet you and welcome to the Septemberies!.
Jordan, I cant believe your XDP!, Huge :hugs: to you and the babies (although Hailey isn't so much a bubs anymore!).
I just read about Navada, Im hoping its nothing serious, but I would deffinitely get a second oppinion... I dont trust docs anymore for obvious reasons!.

Thanks for everyone who shared pics, such beautiful bubs!.

Me- Had our app with the Paed (cant remember if I mentioned that last time) and he said that Caelyn is the floppiest baby he's ever seen for her age (just on 3 months) and that she may have motor skill problems in the future...we will see him again in 6 months. He seems to be happy with how content she is and shes now 6.4 kilos so she is deffinitely doing well in the weight department!.
She now sleeps in her own cot from 8 at night to 5:30am!, so its nice to be getting regular sleep again!.

Sending my SS pressie off today as I have only just been given mine as I havent been around so much.

Hope everyone else is doing well, I know I have forgotten people but my brain is dead!.

Hi ladies,
I am definitely the most hungover woman in Sydney :o we had our work Christmas party y'day and it was large, mum was looking after the kids and I had heaps of milk stashed so I could let loose and i've been regretting it since about 1am this morning with the bed spins - REMEMBER THEM??!! arrrgggghhhhh
We also forgot something so now i'm gonna be scared about :bfp:. It was 11th December last year I got pg with Charlie!
Which led me to thinking - who will be the first of us to get duffed again??mmmmmm, hopefully not me!

ive noticed my hair falling out too why is that? i didnt know it was related to having a baby..

08-12-2008, 13:40
Loz - yeah back at work, was meant to be full time but went to the docs and as im still not fully better i only have to work half days for the next 2 weeks and then go back to normal work, but chrissy time for us is the only time of year we dont work 24/7 and only work day shifts so it gives me a good chance to get back into it slowly.
Yeah you can take 12 months, at no pay if you want to but we just werent sure so i took 3 months at full pay instead.
How is your castle hunting going?
I love the baubles too, i keep checking them out and making sure the kitties stay well away from them.

Georgia - haha, hope you feel better soon! At least you got to let your hair down and you had a good night. Hope things are ok with :bfp:, im sure they will be though. It definitely wont be me with getting pregnant, i can guarantee you there will be no more bubbas here, ever. Just the one will do us perfectly! :hugs:

Taren - yah for your good weekend! Mia isnt quite giggling either, it sounds like she wants to but cant quite string it together yet, cant wait to hear it though!

Alison - Its great to see you back on here! I hope that Caelyn proves those docs wrong in 6 months! im sure she will. Hope you have a great day :hugs:

Smiley - Not sure if im right or not but ive been told your hair falls out because you grow thicker hair while your pregnant and then once you have the bubba that extra hair you grew falls out. Forgive me if im totally wrong :)

Well this lasagne in the oven smells really good right now, so must be off to eat it,

have a good arvo girls

Haha Georgia you party animal. It won't be me either, we're all done I think. Neither me nor DP really thought about having kids so having one of each equals two bonus babies I reckon! I shall retire gracefully...

GeorgiaAnne
08-12-2008, 14:31
blergh, I am SO not a party animal anymore and I have to work tonight which will be fun  I;ve bought lots of lollies to keep me going!

08-12-2008, 15:26
Lavinia I also have baubles with all my kids names on them. 2 are gold writing and 2 are gold glitter writing and they're just perfect.

Alison 'may have' doesn't mean 'will have' so try not to stress. I bet Caelyn will improve drastically in no time and everything will be fine. Yay for sleeping babies!

Taren babies can begin to giggle/smile any time up to 6 months so you have a normal bub. Is she maybe on a growth spurt cos that'd explain her waking during the night.

Georgia Umaaaah at forgetting something! I just got the ph call from the surgeon and DP's sample was clear.....NO MORE babies in this house so I definitely won't be the next one.

Donna (smiley) Lavinia is right....our hair is extra healthy when pg and doesn't fall out so when bubs are about 3 months old, the old hair begins to fall out and new hair grows. I'm getting clumps of it daily out the shower recess.

We had a great day at mums & bubs group today but the time went way too quickly. I'll be looking forward to January when I won't have to rush out the door to collect Justyn from school.

Mum2Sierra&Caelyn

We also forgot something so now i'm gonna be scared about :bfp:. It was 11th December last year I got pg with Charlie!
Which led me to thinking - who will be the first of us to get duffed again??mmmmmm, hopefully not me!

Not me either!, there is no way im having 3 under 3!. Actually I would be risking my health if I had a 3rd one even in 10 years time so getting pregnant again would be a bit of a nightmare!. I have two beautiful bubbas though so Im not complaining!.
We asked the GP about DH getting the snip and he pretty much said that even though it wouldn't be good for me to fall pregnant again that 'we dont know what the future holds and DH is only young and if something happens to me he may want to have more in the future' and Im thinking 'yeah well he almost didn't have me around thanks to you and my OB!'. Im so over my GP!, Im getting a new one next year when we move.
Oh and DH is still going to get the snip (when he finally gets around to booking in to see someone!, and hes not getting any until he does!) no matter what the docs say about his age, I mean he has two kids already its not like we havent done our bit for the continuing existance of human kind lol.
Ok rant over I promise!

Oh and Caelyn giggled for the first time yesterday :yelclap: and shes 3 months tomorrow. I think Sierra was even later, she wouldn't even smile for ages, just stare at everyone with those big brown eyes of hers, it was creepy .

Mum2Sierra&Caelyn
08-12-2008, 15:56

Hi Girls,

It has taken me till now to get on here today! Millie and I went for a walk this morning to the shops and did the grocery shopping (beautiful sunny day here) and then I had a quick lunch and then had a friend and her bubba drop round for a few hours! Busy day!

The hens night was great on Saturday night! I too - like Georgia let my hair down and got a bit legless! Doesn't take much these days. The bride was a good sport and played along with all the games/challenges we set for her - very amusing! Will try to post some pics on FB later if I get the chance.

Then....with a nice hangover...I attended my nephews 2nd birthday party on Sunday! Madness...but my hubby was very proud of my efforts! Sometimes I think the best cure for a hangover is to just stay active/busy and get on with it!

I have posted my Secret Santa Pressie today...so someone will be receiving it within a few days! Yay!

Jordan - What a sh$t your EXDP is! I would be really mad! You are handling it so well and I know you will be just fine, as you are a strong and amazing woman/mother! :hugs:

Cass - How is poor Kaidy? Is her shiner looking any better? Poor little luv!

Lavin - MMM lasagne! Can I come over for dinner? Hope work isn't too bad for you on Wednesday! Is Shannon watching Mia? Sounds like you had a nice day!

Alison - Nice to hear from you luv. You have had it tough that's for sure! Hope things get better for you. Glad to hear that Caedyn has gained weight - I hope that she will prove the Paed wrong with the other stuff .

Georgia - Good work in the drinking stakes! Hope you are feeling better today! It hurts when you haven't drank in a long while!

Had to laugh  when you predicted me as the next to be UTD....You are probably right :D! We want a smaller gap between kidlets- so prob start trying when Amelia is 12 months - anyone else gonna start before then? There may even be a surprise bubba??? Hope it's not you Georgia!

Hi to Loz, Judy, Katherine, Donna, Jel, Mia, Taren and everyone else I've forgotten!

Hi girls

wow so much has happened i havent been on for a fews days its been crazy here... we had to remove some hedges from the back yard so we could section off and set up a out door play area for the boys that my dogs couldn't get to cause well there boy dogs so they would pee on everything. Im so out numbered here i am the only girl i need a female gold fish or something! So we removed the hedges and set up a massive swing set and trampoleen, oh i love tramps!!!!

Jordon :hugs: you deserve them.

big hellos to everyone

Georgia im with you, we were "naughty" one night too, but it was too early in the month wasn't the right time so im not worried, both my boys were concieved the day i started ovulating, very sad that i remember the dates and times for both! haha

I would love a 3rd but were not going to, my two boys are an absolute handfull, i love them to death but i dont have time for a 3rd or energy. but having said that were not completely ruling it out for down the track.

Hope everyone's had a great w/end!

flick - yep you are definately outnumbered! I was too until darcie came along cause our dog is male too - 3 against 1!!!

Georgia - like you and there have been a couple of "prob shouldn't haves" cause I haven't started minipill yet! We are having more but not too sure that my body can handle another too soon cause both have been c/sec. Maybe in a couple of years we will start trying and that way Cooper should be in school.

sarah - wow you have had a busy busy day! glad to hear the hens night was a success and well done for backing up for a 2yo b'day party - I'm impressed! the age gap you are going for is what is between my two! We fell pg with Darcie about 1wk before Cooper 1st b'day!

Lavin - hope going back to work isn't too bad for you! What do you do - not too stressful I hope? i'm doing relief over the school hols so I will be back to work next week. I am so lucky to have found this job cause my boss has been awesome!

Alison - I agree with Judy that "may have" is nothing to be worried about! I'm sure Cooper was a floppy thing for ages! I'm sure that by 6 months the paed will be happy with her progress! So glad to hear that everything is going well with you atm! Seeing as though getting pg again for you is such a health risk I would be making DH get the snip too - why risk it?

Judy - did you make the baubles or buy them? How much are they to buy? I'm thinking I might just make my own (if I get time that is)! glad to hear you had a good day!

Taren - don't stress about the giggling - she will do it when she's ready!

re: hair falling out - yep I've been pulling out fistfuls for the past few weeks! Hate it! am always having to unclog the drain too!

re: secret santa - am about to post mine off tomorrow but need to know if we are putting who it is from or leaving it a secret?

Us - talking of giggling we heard Darcie giggle for the first time during the week (can't remember if I've already told you that)! Have found out today that she thinks my singing is hilarious  Had my sil baby shower yesterday which was a lot of fun. but ate way too many sweets etc so don't think I will do too well with this weeks weigh-in (prob put on weight i think)! Mum is having Cooper tomorrow so will hopefully get all the Christmas stuff done ie. making all the stuff to go into hampers, wrapping pressies etc. Can't wait for Rudd money to hit our account cause then I can book my tickets to Perth - woo hoo!! Now that's going to be an interesting flight - trying to entertain two toddlers for 5 hrs!!

anywho off to bed!
cheers, shaz :D

Shazz - I didn't put my name on the secret santa! I thought that maybe if we really wanna know...we could all fess up in the live thread when we open them??? Glad Darcie is giggling away! Millie also thinks my singing is hillarious! It is a sure fire way to get a smile or a laugh!

Evening all! One day I'll be in bed before midnight but that probably won't happen till I'm either really ill or really old.

Alison good to hear you're back on track with your health and enjoying your babies again. Most dr's don't like doing snips/tubes on anyone under about 35 so you may need to hunt around for one who will do your DH. Personally I don't understand how a dr has the right to judge whether or not a person has one of these procedures.

Sarah good to hear that you had such a great time as well as managing a 2yo party the following day. Well done!

Felicity you won't be able to get your boys in the house once they get the hang of the swing set and trampoline. Lucky little boys they are!

Mia Rip and Cameo are very photogenic. Love the pics.

Shazza I had the baubles hand made locally. The gold glitter baubles cos me $26 for 2 and I think the other ones cost me $38 (both were longer names). You pay for the bauble and then by the letter, extra for the glitter. I just love the caligraphy style lettering!

Sweet dreams everyone. :goodvibes:

That dress is adorable! Where did you get it from and does it come in bigger sizes? I want one for Jasmine.

i actually got it off ebay - here is the seller, they have lots of beautiful clothes. i got a yellow/red set as well. http://shop.ebay.com.au/merchant/pinklily29_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZQQ_mdoZ

Jel: your girls are all so very adorable! We are both so lucky to have three girls! I think that if I went back for a fourth I'd want another girl

i've actually thought that too - i think 3 might be enough for us though

Lisa - are you on the minipill? I have found I get lots of random bleeding on it
i'm on the minipill and getting the same spotting. i think you might be onto something
lavin - looks like you've had a busy day!! hope you get a good rest tonight
mia- nice pics mia :cloud9:

giggles - marley let out this funny noise last week which sounded very bizzarre. it was a giggle or some sort, but not something you'd expect out of a 12 week old bub!
she's such a good little snuggler:cloud9:

Hi ladies

Sorry I've been MIA, it has been a crazy week, Yasmine's dance concert was an insane amount of time and energy :( luckily it is only every 2 years!

So, after the debacle of Friday night, she has 4 wonderful performances on Saturday and Sunday, absolutely adorable, the crowd just loved them. 12 adorable 3 and 4 year olds. I will post some photos soon.

I have my sister staying with me this week, which is absolutely fantastic, she is such a huge help, both with the kids, and around the house. She really is a gem :hugs:

Another big week this week, lots of Christmas parties and break ups etc. for the kids. I'm heading up to mum and dads on Friday and will be there until after Christmas so I am really looking forward to the breaK! Mind you we will be doing a lot of hard work to get the farm ready to go on the market next year!

Addison is doing well, although I think she may be starting to teeth!! She is holding her head up well, and has started to roll from front to back, and grasp her toys and put them in her mouth.

She is hard to settle at night, sometimes taking until 10.30pm  which is hard because Liam is up at 5am the next morning, and of course they never sleep through.

Pretty organised for Christmas, just finally wrapped the presents tonight, just a couple more to get and I am set. I have decided on a new sewing machine for Christmas, so I'm excited about that.

No BFP's here girls, EVER! :p Although I have got AF already , just like clockwork 12 weeks after birth. But I've told DH to head in for the snip, because I honestly don't think I could handle another one, I am stretched with my gorgeous three handfulls! But I am scaringly fertile so we will have to be super careful until then! I will be super jealous when you girls start getting preggers though :p

Anyway, better head to bed, hope to be able to catch up a bit more tomorrow.

I had to giggle re: all the BFP talk! Although I would like another one at the moment, I truley believe it is just the hormones. My hubby was meant to have an appt with the surgeon yesterday, but had to reschedule until next week - the doctor rescheduled that is!
I still have done the deed with hubby, as I haven't had AF as yet, (TMI ALERT) and my mucous indicates that I may be ovulating, so we're not taking the risk. We also aren't huge fans of the good ol' rubber, so we aren't going there. I really need to see the doc about minipill or something until the op. :detective:

Jel: thanks for the link, there are some really sweet outfits on there. WIll check it out properly soon

Donna (Sissy) : Can't wait to see some pic of the dance concert! I've been wondering how Yas went. So pleased that all went well for her.

Shaz: Piper also laughs at my singing - not too sure why, coz I have a brilliant singing voice  She's only just started really giggling, however shes been doing some weird chuckling thing for a couple of weeks now!

Alison: :hugs: Sorry to hear about Caelyn being "floppy". Do they have any idea what that's all about? Is it that she just doesnt have any neck control or what does that mean? I hope she gets strong quickly sweets, you guys need a break from worry for a while!

Mia: How cute are your kids! I noticed that Cameo is on the FB page - I will update the page soon with hers, Addysons and Caelyns photos probably tomorrow.

Judy: I"m hearing you about the whole late night thing. I am not getting to bed before midnight lately either. Ithink because i need to stay up for Piper's dream feed, I'm still a bit wired, then I wonder who's logged onto BH or FB since I was on earlier - it's a vicious cycle this BH thing

Me: Swimming htis morning, then I'm heading off to Yarra with all three girls in tow. Yes, I am insane! I'm going to see mum, but primarily to catch up with an old school friend I haven't seen since 1993!!!! She's only in town for 3 days - arrives this morning, has a funeral tomorrow, then goes home on Thursday, so I had to make it today. I'm a bit nervous for some reason!
Anyway, won't be on much today for obvious reasons, so I hope you all have a lovely day, and I'll catch up on the goss this evening.

PS: I did put the name on the back of the parcel :o Oops!

 and :goodvibes: morning!

Jel thanks for the link...there are so many cute dresses I think I'll have trouble choosing.

Donna (Sissy) can't wait to see the pics of Yasmine's dance...I'm glad she had such a great time after the initial problem. I bet your sister loves being there with you as much as you love having her around. I don't get to see my sister until Boxing Day.
How did you go with Addison last night? I hope her and Liam allowed you some sleep.

Cass DP is not a fan of the good ole rubbers either and that's why he was so excited hearing his results yesterday. He claims that now that he's 'shooting blanks' he should get it more often. Surely he realises that that's just a dream atm! And he gets it often enough so what's his problem?
Have fun catching up with your gf today.

Me - Ohhhh I put my name on the back of my SS parcel too but only cos the guy at the post office made me. How come whoever sent Deon's SS didn't have to put their name on the parcel? Surely the post office didn't seriously believe that her real name is Santa!!!
My doula has become a good friend and her DD has prep orientation day today so she picked up DS2 and took him to school for me. So I got out of a trip in the car. YAY! I think I'll have to ensure that she gets a pressie for xmas !
Have a wonderful day ladies!

Hi Ladies

I haven't been in this thread for ages - so I'm not even going to attempt personals :)

Just thought I'd pop in to say a quick hello. I've just had a quick read and it sounds like everyone is going pretty well - which is ace news.

I had Max at the paed yesterday for his 'snorty' problem. Apparently he has narrow nasal passages. According to the paed - he is particularly snorty and he should grow out of it but we will go back in 2 months for a check up. I feel better that it's being looked into anyway.

We were naughty before I started on the mini pill too. I haven't had AF at all. We would like our next bubba to be close in age to Max - but I'm SO not ready to be preggers again just yet!!!!!

I have got a real kick out of seeing all the pics of your gorgeous bubbas - so I thought I'd post a few of mine. They are a couple of weeks old now... I'm getting slack with the 'photo shoots' :)

I tried to post links - but couldn't get them to work.... (I am that blonde receptionist that the IT guys love to hate!)... but if you click on my avatar you can get to the album that way.

Hope you all have a lovely day!

Shazz - Its good when bosses are so understanding isnt it! Both hubby and I are in the navy but not at sea at the moment so no its not to stressful and im only working half days so it will fly by hopefully! How did you go with getting your chrissie shopping done? You can also order baubles at Myer and its not to expensive either.

Donna - Sounds like you are having a fantastic week, hope it doesnt go to quickly for you.

Cass - Have a great day catching up with your old friend, im sure once you meet up you wont be nervous anymore

Judy - Hope you get some time to relax today to make up for not getting to bed before midnight!

Its a beautiful day here today, but starting to get hotter, lucky we went for our walk this morning, just trying to find everything for my uniform tomorrow, fun fun, who knows where it all is.
Might pop by the new dfo that just opened, but it seems a little too busy at the moment. but heading for coffee with my niece today, more like a cousin really, she turns 21 in 2 weeks so shes not that much younger than me.

Hope everyone is having a fantastic day :)

Leece- :hugs: I seriously dont know what is wrong with men, we are two different species im sure of it.

Cass- Its not so much Caelyns head thats floppy but her legs... although she is still floppier than usual with her neck. I dont even notice it until I hold friends babies that are the same age.
Dont worry though, not stressing yet!.

My name is on the post pack for my SS too... ohwell ;)

We are kinda out of options for Contraception appart from 'rubbers' and the 'snip'. I cant use many contraceptions cause of the clot as most have some sort of hormone in them, and also cause im still on Warfarin I cant have any surgery either. I dont care about the rubbers so much but DH hates them, so that leaves the snip *insert evil laugh here*

Im off to look at rental properties this arvo... we are hoping to find somewhere soon so that we have plenty of time to move and then clean my sisters place up. I cant believe how expenive it is to rent near the city though!. We are hopefully only renting for 6 months though and then we are buying our first home... so excited :yelclap:.

Taren- A couple of us hubbers meet up every now and then, and then I also have a mothers group I go to of a friday. Just depends on where you live I guess :)

Leece - I'm so sorry to hear that this has happened to you again. Bloody men. I hope Tim makes every effort to make it up to you and then some, cause at the moment I don't feel he deserves you . You are a beautiful young woman and the mother of his child. He should be thanking his lucky stars, not behaving like a teenager. :hugs: to you hun. Once again you are showing such maturity beyond your years. Give Jack a kiss for me. xo

Not much happening here. Had my mothers group today which was lovely. We all get along really well and are continuing to meet weekly throughout xmas.

Amelia only had one short sleep today - so she is totally knackered! Hope she sleeps well tonight!

Hugs to all that need them! :hugs:

Deanna Max is a little cutie! Do you have one of those special nasal suctioning thingies to clear his nose with? Apparently you can get them from the chemist.

Georgia Yep, any excuse is exactly right. He has become a flippin' octopus today!

Lavinia I got about 30mins to myself today...not bad considering it took Jasmine an hour to go to sleep at nap time. Try and enjoy your first day back at work tomorrow. I don't envy you.

Taren it's about time your little girl let you have a good sleep. Maybe you could do some of that suggestive speaking to implant it into her little brain. ;) Oh and btw - lazy days can be good days.

Leece sorry to hear you had a crappy day yesterday. I hope Tim woke up to himself and you are now having better days. :hugs:

Alison how did you go with house hunting? I hope you get something nice and get it soon.

Sarah Mums groups can be a lifesaver at times especially when you have a nice group. Ours is also meeting up weekly with a special Xmas meet next week and then a weeks break over xmas. I'm looking forward to next year as 3 of the mums are pg and due within 8 weeks of each other.

Me - It poured down rain all day here so I'm glad that I had no plans to go anywhere aside from the school run this arvo. It gave me a chance to stay inside and get a bit of washing done and spend some quality time with my kids.

leece I'm sorry to hear about your your jerk i mean partner being a jerk!
Hayleysmummy what kind of castle?

there pretty good they look like the little dungeons and dragon style models but larger (D&D I'm i showing my inner geek?)
I'm not going to do any more personals or ill be here for ever! so ill just say

Hi

Hi Teapot - Max has been snorting away since he was born. I have been told by the GP (and now the paed) not to worry too much about it and it will probably go away (but it hasn't yet!). The reason that I took him to the paed is because we he gets a little cold & a bit congested he can find it hard to breathe - especially at night. His room is next to ours and I just lie there listening to him snorting away and then it sort of turns into a choke and can sometimes wake him up. Not to mention that I can't really sleep when my bubba is making noises like that! I need to keep getting up to look at him!
I think that going to a specialist to double check is the best idea. Even if it does turn out to be nothing - it is much better to put your mind at ease.

Judy - I did have one of those aspirators - but it is like torturing him. It can take ages to get the boogies to the edge of his nostril and then just as I think that I can get it he snorts it back up again! All of this while he's crying like his heart is breaking. I've decided that it just doesn't work well enough for me to put him through that kind of anguish. Now if there is anything substantial I just tickle him under the nose and hope that he sneezes it out.
Sorry if this is TMI for anyone... hope there's no one having their brekky as they read this!

Sounds like most of your bubbas are getting better at sleeping through the night. Max went from 10pm to 4.30am this morning. His new all time record! Yay! I hope he keeps it up - I could get used to this :)

Hope everyone has a lovely day.

I am now missmilliesmum instead of sarahhollands!

Millie slept from 8pm - 2am Fed then 2.30am - 8.30am! Beauty!

She is currently sitting beside me giggling her little head off at god knows what! Me? Very amusing!

We are going to see my 4yo niece's fairy ballet concert this arvo - so that will be just adorable no doubt!

Also....although I did not put my name on my SS pressie...a smart person could work out it was from me by the post mark as I am the only SA girl in the SS! (Mish - Gremlin is an SA girl too, but not in SS I think???)

Hope you all have a lovely day...

Hi girls
Had a great time catching up with my friend yesterday - it took a bit to get comfy but after about 15 mins it was fine. also, another friend from school rocked up with his 2 little girls, which was nice - he said he'd been stalking us on facebook planning the reunion

Had another fall yesterday, this time I was carrying Baylee (to time out, she wouldn't cooperate!). I have badly hurt my left middle finger (double it's size and can't bend - think I may have fractured it ), but she was ok thank goodness! I think it may be my new glasses that are contributing to my falls???

Had chemist photos today - Piper smiled and looked gorgeous. I can't wait til next Wednesday to pick them up! No doubt i'll be sucked into buying all three instead of just taking the one free shot :p

Wrapped all the prezzies this arvo when the kids were at care - they were a bit excited when they came home and found all of the prezzies there!

Not much else going on. Piper still sleeping through from 11pm to 7.30am - love my girl!

Sarah - love your new name!

Leece - hugs for you honey!

Hello to everyone else.

 ladies ! Hope everyone had a better day than I did. LOL

Fleur how cute that Rowyn is giggling now. I love it at this age as they're learning something new all the time. Re: your 2yo......Jasmine isn't even 2 yet and she gave me the day from hell today so I can sympathise with you atm.

Deanna I didn't realise those aspirator thingies were so awkward to use. I'm glad I didn't get one for Deon when his nose was stuffy last month. Yay for Max sleeping so long! I hope you got plenty of sleep too.

Felicity :hugs: your way. Sounds like you need plenty of them. Is hubby any help with the boys when he's home?

Sarah I hope you had a wonderful time at your niece's concert. Nice new username!

Leece Jack is a good little man for sleeping so long last night.....maybe he knew you needed a decent rest in order to get through today. I'm sure your nan will be watching Jack grow even though she's no longer physically here.

Cass you poor bugger you're in the wars lately! You should get your finger xrayed just in case you've done more damage than you think. I'm glad you had a great time with your old friends....it makes the day just that bit more special.

Me - Deon woke for a feed at 4am and I'm really hoping he doesn't wake again tonight. I'm used to getting a nice solid sleep again!
Jasmine was the perfect child this morning until I caught her sucking on a tube of toothpaste at 10:30am and then it went downhill from there. She was into everything and was as cheeky as ever! I put her down for a nap at 11:30am and heard her awake at 1pm so I opened her bedroom door to find that she had spread 180 J&J wipes around the room, emptied the contents of the last Bounty bag (I'd forgotten about that one being in her room), thrown every single toy around and was rifling through the wardrobe. So while I was tending to that mess she broke a bauble off the xmas tree, stole a candy cane (didn't think she could reach that high) and piffed cooking utensils all over my kitchen floor. And while I was tending to the 2nd mess she took the toy baskets from her room into the lounge room and trashed that room too! All of it was done with a very mischevious look on her face and she KNEW she shouldn't have been doing it.
The end result is a very gorgeous looking 21 month old little girl who almost got auctioned off on eBay. She's d*mn lucky it's illegal and she's also d*mn lucky that she's now sleeping soundly in bed!
:fingerscrossed: she isn't possessed tomorrow.

This is me after reading about your gorgeous Miss Jasmine Judy------->:laughing::laughing: We should have auctioned her and Hayley off we could have got double the $$ and gone halves

I've been so busy wrapping chrissy pressies today and getting the house cleaned up before our inspection on friday, mind you this is mums house she fosters 3 boys who just love to bring sh!t home and leave it everywhere which resulted in 6 yes 6 full trailor loads of rubbish to the tip and its still not finished also had to put a new program on the computer so I've ben offline

I wasnt going to put up a chrissy tree but have decided to buy a little one for DD so she can see the lights and have pressies underneath because I think this is the first chrissy she's really understood santa etc.

 missmilliemoosmum nice to meet you haha love the name change

Cass- I bet you do end up taking taking the 3 pics you just cant resist. I agree with Judy you really are in the wars I hope your fingers ok keep putting ice on it to keep the swelling down

Leece- huge hugs to you hun I havent been able to catch up but do know your in need of some hugs :hugs: I'm glad Jack was a good bub for you at your nans funeral and dont be sad about her not being here on earth watching little Jack grow up she's watching over him from above and I bet she always will be

Flick- Izzy is like Hunter he's a shocker during the day but an angel at night and its also hard on Hayley she's been playing up terribly and I cant help but feel responsible sometimes because I know she just wants her mumm to herself for a little while I have my fingers crossed that this stomach calm does some good

Me- I freaked out tonight while I was bathing the kids as I bath them together Hayley helps to pour the water on Izzies tummy, well she poured the water out fast and accidently in his face and he started choking he screamed like hes never screamed before and that resulted in her screaming because it frightened her so much but I picked Izzy up and bashed him on the back to get the water out he was fine after that but it scared the sh!t out of all of us I think

I'm off to finish chrissy shopping tomorrow (wont that be fun) and posting my SS pressie

Night all

Just a quick question for all you girls who live in hot and humid climates:

Do babies automatically know how to regulate the flow of milk so they get more of the foremilk to quench thirst? I know that in hot climates they are more likely to want to snack feed because they are thirsty... but I was thinking last night that my letdown is actually very quick so over Christmas when we are up north will this mean she doesn't get enough of the foremilk and she'll dehydrate?

This probably sounds like a ridiculously silly question, but I want to make sure she's ok!

Oh, and if she doesn't change her feeding of her own accord should I try to get her to snack a little more often or leave it up to her?

Or *ducks for cover* should we think about giving her some water? I know that that was the done thing when both DH and I were babies and quite a few people I know up there still do it... but is it unneccessary? will it ruin all the benefits of exclusive bfing?

Guidance pls!!!

Katherine, I'd just demand feed her  Don't worry so much! Your body is an amazing thing. I wouldn't bother with water, as your milk will be hydrating her. Also, keep an eye on her wet nappies!

Just a quick one!

Katherine - yep :iagree: with Cass. Just demand feed her as she will take what she needs. At the moment I have found Darcie is feeding every four hours but having "drinks" inbetween (basically she has the foremilk from both sides). Really make sure you keep your fluids up! Oh and you will prob find she is unsettled during day sleeps (well Darcie is anyway) because of the humidity/heat!

cheers, shaz

PS. Will be back later for more personals!

Thanks so much girls! I'll trust J to know what she needs

Cass - I can't believe you had another fall - how is your finger now? Come to think of it I don't think I ever said how appalling I thought it was that noone helped you when you fell over with Piper - that is a really sad indictment on society nowadays. Are you going to see if you can get your glasses adjusted so they make you less off-balance?

Judy - your day yesterday sounds truly awful - I hope you have your angel back today!

Leece - :hugs: Little Jack must have known you needed to be well-rested for your Nan's funeral. What a sensitive boy he is already.

Sarah - love the new name! Am impressed at you and Georgia and your partying! I went to a hen's night when J was 4 weeks and a wedding at 6 weeks but have to confess I was very measured in what I drank - WAY too scared of a hangover!

Jordan - poor you, Izzy and Hayley in the bath! I'm glad everyone has recovered from their fright now! It's so sweet that Hayley helps you out with bathing Izzy!!

Hmmm... J has just exploded so I had better go and change her! Posted SS today so hope it makes it!!

Hi Lovelies,

Cass - Sorry to hear bout your fall...again! I too think I failed to mention how appaling it was that noone helped you! Spose you will have to get your glasses fixed? I have to say tho - they look pretty spiff - saw them on the pics you posted on FB yesterday. Glad the reunion went well with your friend too. It is always a bit akward at first I think, then you just gel again and remember why you were friends in the first place!

All those in doubt of humanity (Re: Cass's fall and noone helping)...read my nice story below, it might restore some faith!

Katherine - I give Millie water. but that is because she is bottle fed. Like the girls say - I would stick to demand BF - Jemima should tell you when she's thirsty!
Believe it or not I am out on the grog again this weekend :o! (Silly Season) I have my work Xmas Show and 5 of us girls have had babies within the year and are all keen for a big catch up! Nurses know how to drink/party so it could be a bit wild! I am just very lucky that I have a darling husband who will look after Millie without even blinking. I let him party it up when I was preggars and he made the most of me driving etc, so this is my turn!

Judy - What a day you had with Miss Jasmine yesterday! They sure know how to push your buttons don't they, cheeky little buggars! Hope today was better for you and Deon had a nice long sleep to boot!

Leece - Glad Jack was an angel at your Nan's funeral. Hope things are better at home :hugs:.

Jordan - What a scare! Glad Izzy is ok! Poor Hayley, she must have thought she hurt him the little luv! How did you go with your chrissy shopping? It's hard with kids in tow and I only have one!

Us - Well we had a big morning! Millie and I went into the City Centre and visited Santa at Myer! She was very good, but she refused to smile for the camera - but not too bad a shot all the same! Not cheap tho! $34.00 for 3 x photos! One for us and one for each set of grandparents.

I took a photo of the photo to show you girls - see below...

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1726079&l=3639f&id=667143922

Then we went to Toys R Us to look at a portable cot as we are going away over Xmas (And we go away regularly to friends and families holiday houses throughout the year). Got a BARGAIN! Found a lovely Red and Black sturdy Esprit portable cot reduced from $160 to $64! If you need one girls...ring your local Toys R Us and see if they have them in stock!

Then I asked if they could leave it at their pick up point around on the side street and I would drive up and pick it up on my way home from the city....then the drama's started....

So I drive down the street they said and there is no signage anywhere!!!??? So I am thinking...what now? Then Millie starts SCREAMING! You know that uncontrollable high pitched scream! I was in such a panic, as the street was quite narrow and there were ppl in cars behind me!

So I park illegally and get out of the car and tend to Millie, who is HYSTERICAL by this point, and look down the street for the sign! Luckily a nice man unpacking a truck across the street sees me and comes over! He says "You must be looking for Toys R Us? It's not signed well, grab the little one and I'll show you" He takes me to where I need to be and then even carries the cot to the car and puts it in the boot for me! I was so grateful I neally cried!

My faith in humanity is almost restored at this point!

Then Millie screamed all the way home, the poor little mite (Overtired)! But she has now been asleep for 2 hours so I can't complain about that!

Hope you all had a lovely day! :flowerz:

Donna - I just offer the water to Millie between bottles on hot days. She feeds 4 hourly now during the day, so 2 hours after a feed I offer her the bottle of water. She will drink anywhere from 30 - 50mls in one go. She really likes water, but a friend's bubba doesn't. If they won't drink water and are bottle fed my CHN suggested trying to get them to have a bottle more often, so it's like demand BF iykwim?
The CHN explained it like this...If it's a hot day and you are thirsty inbetween meals - you pour yourself a glass of water to quench your thirst - so you need to be mindful of bubs and try and do the same - offer it at least. She said a good example is if you have been shopping on a hot day and you come back to the car and it is very hot - you might have a drink of water...offer your bub some too!
Hope that helps

Hi girls

Sarah that is so lovely that he helped you... its nice to know there are still some gentlemen out there!

Cass i hope your finger is feeling better, definately get your glasses checked.

Judy little Jasmine sounds very head strong much like my Cooper.. maybe we should introduce them and they might keep each other occupied all day and give us some peace!!

Jordan I can feel for you with what your going threw with Izzy and i hope his reflux settles down soon.

hi to everyone else, my dads on holidays at the moment so he came and picked up Cooper today and his having a sleep over and Nin and Pops tonight, hes having a ball ive already gotten a dozen photos on him playing on his new slide and other toys, he hates comming home! but its given me a chance to spend some time with Hunter and try and get him to stay asleep when i put him down, hes getting a little better but still wakes about 4 times an hour, i cant complain he only wakes once or twice threw the night.

im going to start giving Hunter water too, i haven't yet but i have been feeding him more often but i will start on the water, its sooooo hot here.

Hope everyones had a nice day.

Im starting to freak out a little... DH and I were norty and had some fun with out anything... and it was at the wrong time of the month to fall preg but ive been craving pickles and pickled onions and mustard pickles all day... like ive done with both other pregnancies... im hoping its just a craving and not something else... eekkk... would love another baby but we decided to stop at two ive even cancelled my pregnancy private health.... oh dear.... hmmm if i dont get AF by next friday im POAS!!! even though that may be a little early....

I had a wierd experience with Cami yesterday around dinner time, just thought I'd share! She'd had a feed about an hour or two before, but she started grizzling a bit so I picked her up, held her, she grizzled more etc, offered a feed and she suddenly started SCREAMING her head off right on my nipple! It's the first time I have failed to get a latch from a bub. She just squealed and went red in the face and would not or could not latch on. The only thing I could do was go in a quiet dark room and hold her near the nipple until things subsided a bit, she passed out for about 5 minutes, then woke, startled and latched on for a few minutes, then I put her to bed without a bath, a change or a proper feed! Then she slept through till 3am. Wierd! Overtired I guess.

Hi girls
Thanks for the thoughts re: my fall. I'm actually going to the doctor tomorrow morning, as I was driving today and got very dizzy and felt like i was going down a hill - it was a really bizarre feeling, so hoping it's just a middle ear infection or something (not sick though )

Jordan - I'm so sorry to hear about your money chick! What a pr*ck to take your money!

Mia - sorry to hear about your little episode with Cami - I hope she's been better for you since! Weird behaviour though!

Flick - naughty you and hubby LOL. I still havent gone there yet, coz neither of us are on anything, we hate rubbers and I still haven't got AF yet.

Taren - have fun honey!

Sarah - your photo of Millie with Santa is gorgeous!

Hi Girls,

Sorry no personals for me tonight...just a vent

(oh apart from hugs for Jordan...what a freaking lowlife!!!!!)

Things not going overly well with Oscar still...had two weeks of him not BF'ing well and I am at the point now where I can't take his crying at my boob anymore...my let down is taking so long...he pulls off and cries...and then when let down comes he gulps for 3 - 5 mins on one boob then cries when i try to burp him...then feeds for only about a minute on the other one... its distressing for us both..my happy content baby has now become a grizzle puss... the 8am feed is good because he is still sleepy but then each feed during the day gets progressively worse... and so does his mood... he wakes up after an hours sleep at night and is just so sad... happy boy in the morning and sad at night... he does sleep from 10pm to 4 or 5am...then a quick feed...then back down until 8am and then feeds...then sleeps until 10am - 11am but thats when the downhill slide begins... i give him a toy...he grabs its and then cries with frustration he can't do anything else with it... feeds get worse... he likes to be sitting up so i put him in his rocker... after 10 mins he cries again... feeling really down and always worried about why he is a catnapper during the day and why he is feeding crappy.... and why he cries at the boob... i lay him down to change his nappy and he cries until i talk to him and then he is all smiles and cooing...then the novelty wears off...

i just don't know what to do... i think its time for the bottle but i dont know where to start... sorry if this doesn't make sense but DH has had bubby since he got home from work and i'm madly typing away with the free time that I have...

I feel so guilty and sad at the same time... i feel i am doing something wrong with him for him to be sad at times....

Oh Lisa, you poor darling! I can ABSOLUTELY understand where you are coming from - that was me and Millie a few months ago.

You are doing absolutely nothing wrong - you must remember that hun. You and Oscar are both new to this and you are both still learning.

My advice would be to make an appointment with a lactation consultant asap before you put him on the bottle - you would be surprised how much they can help. I saw 3 LC's and unfortunately they couldn't help me, but they may be able to help you. I was so nervous to see a LC at first, as I felt like I was failing at BF, but it turned out I was doing all the right things, but unfortunately, in my case Millie just couldn't work out how to BF.
Just as a point of interest - I paid for a private LC to visit me at home initially, and then I went and saw 2 different community LC's at my local community centre and I have to say that the community LC's were FANTASTIC! Way better than the private one. That's just my experience.
Please don't be afraid to ask for help hun - as soon as you do, you will wonder why you didn't seek help sooner.

Secondly, if you are really worried about Oscar's health - I would go and see a paediatrican to see if maybe there are any underlying issues with Oscar such as silent relux? At least to put your mind at ease.

Having said the above...there is NO shame in bottle feeding. Your sanity and mental health is very important. Happy Mummy = Happy Baby. If you feel that would be the best option for both of you - go ahead.
I did, after 9 weeks of battling. It took me a week to get over the guilt, and then I realised it was the best thing I could have done for both me and Millie. I stopped resenting her and dreading being with her at feed times. I learnt to enjoy my baby 24/7. Millie is now a happy, bright, cheeky baby, and I am so proud and happy to be her Mum! I know I did the right thing, and you will too - whatever you decide.

Let us know how you go hun, I am in tears as I write this, as I just feel for you so so much. I have been there and it is rotten. I hope things get better soon, whatever you choose to do.

xoxo :hugs::hugs::hugs:

Sorry, just had to reply to Lisa first...that post broke my heart.

Jordan - So sorry to hear about your wallet being stolen! I hope they catch the b$stard that did it. What kind of person does that at a Kindy at Xmas time??? Bloody low life. I agree with the others...I hope karma's a bit#h for that person!

Alison - Goodluck with the house hunting on the weekend! i'm sure you will find something soon!

Us - We just assembled our portable cot for a test run! Total bargain - It is perfect! DH is so proud of my bargain hunting abilities, as he is the ultimate scrooge !

Jordan I'm glad you had a good laugh yesterday but I'm really p!ssed off at the inconsiderate moron who had the gall to steal your wallet. That's just totally wrong! Please let me know if you need anything and I will do whatever I can to help out. :hugs:

Sarah one of my closest gf's is a nurse and she's just crazy as well....no wonder I get along so well with her. LOL Awww that pic of Millie is very cute. I would love to take Deon for a pic with Santa but I'm sure Jasmine will freak out so I'm not sure if I'm going to bother. How is Millie since this arvo? Is she settled now?

Taren enjoy your night tonight. I hope hubby can help you out in the morning if you have a hangover otherwise you're gonna be like a bear with a sore head.

Felicity 'head strong' would be an understatement for my little girl. She is so much worse than that and it's scarey cos she isn't even 2 yet! Have a lovely time tonight with Hunter while you can and fx you get AF by next Friday. I'm sooo glad I don't have to worry about a BFP ever again....I've done my fair share for the country.

Lisa I feel for you going through all of this. I do agree with Sarah to get Oski checked out as well....silent reflux causes babies to act in a similar way to Oscar so maybe that's the problem? Oh and community lc's ARE the best. They helped me out with Jasmine and had so much patience even when I was frustrated and in tears. You're a wonderful mummy and a strong one too so whatever decision you make will definitely be in Oski's best interests. FX it all works out asap for you. :hugs:
Mia is it possible that Cami had a tummy ache that was bothering her? I hope she didn't have any more problems today.

Cass GL at the dr's tomorrow. Sounds like you have a shopping list of things to get checked over there!

Alison GL with the house hunting....it's a huge PITA at this time of the year so I hope Saturday is a good day for you.

Me - Well, the little monster disappeared last night and this morning I got my little cherub back. We had such a good day that we even went out xmas shopping again for a few hours and didn't have a single problem.:smiliedance: Here's hoping things stay this way.

 to everyone else and remember that xmas is now only 14 days away! :xmastree::xmas:

oh hun, I had tears in my eyes by the end of your post. I think you should definitely see an LC to see about what's going on. When I was having some issues with B'fing I also spoke to a lovely ABA counsellor. She is in the shire and is happy for people to drop by to her house so she can help with feeding issues. If you want her details, just let me know i'll pm them or facebook them to you. She can also recommend LC's.
You have absolutely nothing to feel guilty for, this is just one small chapter in your whole lives together and you are doing everything you can to make it easier. I'm sure it is nothing you are doing that is making it the way it is.
I think you should also chat to someone about the feelings you are having as well, you are a gorgeous mummy and you shouldn't doubt yourself. Are you in a mother's group? Do any of our friends hsve babies? I think you should get out more during the day and leave the schedule/clock watching and just enjoy his company - he might cry but it doesn't matter, that's what babies do and it's not because you are doing anything wrong.

Bummer just lost my entire post cause I forgot to copy paste before I submitted... Hopefully I can remeber most of it...

Jordon - I hope karma does come and bite that persons bum... what a butthead...

Lisa - I agree with Sarah & Georgia about seeing the LC. I know how you feel, I went through the same thing with Zarah and it was heartbreaking and I felt like such a cr#p mum. But I have a very supportive family and an exceptional DH that helped me through it. Zarah's did end up being reflux. Just remember it's nothing you have or have not done...:hugs:

Cass - yeah, I can believe that people can do that when they see a mum fall over with her bub... people are becoming so self centered these days... glad everything was ok with you and Piper... except now for the finger...

Judy - sorry had to laugh at Jas... way too cute...

Amy - Oh love, I don't know what to say other then everyone is here for you. You have such a beautiful heart and you are always there for everyone :hugs:

Us - we are going really well. Zarah had her first play date the other day with a GF bub. She is into grabbing everything at the moment and putting it into her mouth. They ended up holding hands at one stage which was very cute until Zarah tried to eat her hand . We are taking her to see Santa tomorrow (I have to wait until the weekend cause DH wan't to be there for her first Santa visit, awww). She is starting to roll too. she can gor front to back and do a half roll from back to side. I was a very proud and excited mum the first time I was clapping and cheering her, must have looked like an weirdo, I even called DH so he could congratulate her over the phone ...

Better go I have a small child on the floor wanting some more attention... hi to all that I have missed, will try and post some more pics today on FB...

hope everyone has a great Friday

Hi ladies!
Wow, what a hectic day so far! Started off badly, and went down hill from there.
I started the day thinking that Kaidy may have had nits and headlice, but couldn't find anything - didn't help that I didn't know what I was looking for either :o so I dropped the girls off, explaining that Kaidy had been scratching her head, but DH hadn't washed her hair last night, so was unsure if that was why she was itchy. I gave them permission to search the girls heads and call me should something come of it.
Anyway, then went to the MCHN for a check - Piper had only gained 70gm for the week, but the nurse was happy with her appearance, how she looked etc, and said that she's not at all worried, and we can go back to monthly visits :smiliedance:
Then we went to the doctors. He thinks that it may be just my body adjusting to the glasses, however I went to go and have a battery of blood tests, looking for things such as MS, thyroid issues etc. So :fingerscrossed: it's just my glasses.
I then got a call from the CC - yep, Bay has nits and Kaidy has nits/lice. They CC treated the girls on my request, and I had to go and buy treatment - that was a costly experience! $40!
And this was all by 11.30am! So anyway, got DH to duck home to feed the big girls, as I had to feed Piper and it's raining, and I was starting to get a bit flustered!
I have now treated the girls, which took an hour! Again - fingers crossed that i've gotten it all. I have to re-treat them again in 7 days, and then again in another 7 days! So, who knows how much it's going to cost!
Other than that, not much news

Toni: Congrats on Zarah rolling - Piper's showing no signs of that little trick!

Amy - pleased to see you back online. You know what I think, so I wont go into it here :hugs:

Alison - good luck with rental searching tomorrow!

Just posted in the other thread...I don't have my SS pressie for Millie yet (Cass I think you thought I did). My SS recipient should have theirs as I sent it last week! Looks like we will be delaying the live chat and open.
I just think that perhaps the post is VERY slow due to it being christmas???

Amy - Thinking of you hun. Glad you are getting some help. Like Lisa said, you have been through the ringer, so I am not surprised. Hope you are getting the love and support that you need. You are so kind and always thinking of others, I hope we can all do the same for you. If you need anything, just PM me or we can always chat on FB?

Hi guys! Sorry I haven't posted in ages....can't seem to find much to to get on here these days. I haven't posted since the 1st page of this thread! I'm finding it a bit easier to keep up on facebook!

Leece, I'm so sorry to hear about your nan passing away. :hugs: That' terrible about your work trying to fire you while on maternity leave. I hope you can get things sorted out.

Cass, I'm sorry to hear about your fall last week. I'm glad Piper wasn't hurt. How awful that nobody stopped to help you out. Hope your ankle's better now. Oh, poor Kaidy's eye certainly looks nasty, doesn't it!

Danielle, just wanted to send some big :hugs:s to you & Nevada. I hope they can work out what's wrong soon.

Jordan, I can't believe that someone stole your wallet, & at a kindy too! I am so angry for you & I hope that karma is a ***** to them! :hugs: I can't believe your XDP either. What a complete tool!

Georgia, I certainly won't be the 1st one to get duffed again.....2's plenty for me!

OK, I gtg now...dinner's nearly ready!

:o:o I found my wallet:o:o

I am a *********

And thats all I'm going to say :D
Just want to thank everyone for their caring thoughts about the situation and I promise to thoroughly check every nook and cranny when something goes missing before blaming

But dont worry ladies I havent got my SS yet either I'm not worried though as Cass said the chat can always be rescheduled :goodvibes:

I picked up Izzies pixi photos today so very very cute and 100% better than they were when I got DD's done 2 yrs ago. I also got out and got my nails done today its been years since so it feels good to do something for myself for once

Cass- I feel for you with the girls having nits I had them not too long ago from the foster kiddies getting them at school then using my brush grr butthe best thing I have found to use is conditioner just cover the head put glad wrap over it for a couple of hours (this suffocates the suckers lol) then comb out with the nit comb and eggs and all should just slide out.

Pink- Good Luck with the LC hun even though you wont need it hugs for you I can imagine you would be so so stressed at the moment, please dont feel bad for considering or switching to bottlefeeding I considered putting Izzy on formula from birth because I just wanted too, If I had I wouldnt have felt bad the upside is you can get plastered while hubby gets up to Oscar haha

Jordan - So glad you found your wallet babe! Don't feel like a di$khead - I misplace things all the time! My poor DH usually cops the blame tho! Just today I couldn't find Millie's blue book to record her weight etc. So I rang DH and demanded to know what stupid place he had put it in? Then I found it and remembered that I had put it there :o! Whoops!
I got my nails done for the second time in my life recently! It feels nice to do something for yourself when you are looking after someone else 24/7. Good on ya luv!

Re : Nits!
My mother cringes at the mention of them still to this day! I had them sooooo many times when I was a kid. The main problem is that I had/have ridiculously thick hair, which is also long to boot! Nits were a nightmare for her! And the funny (silly) thing was that it was a vicicous cycle as I had 2 family friends that went to other schools and our favourite game to play was 'hairdressers'! Nits went from school to school and the back again for almost a year!

Hope you get rid of em Cass, and make sure your girls aren't playing 'hairdressers'!

Well, it's STILL raining here! It was raining when I left the house at 8:30am and it's 12 hours later and it hasn't stopped. I'm so lucky that DP gets home early on Fridays cos it meant that I didn't have to take Deon out in the rain for the school pick up run. Nothing new here but I do still have my little cherub around...the monster hasn't resurfaced so I'm quite happy.

Amy hi and good on ya for getting help hun! The ball is rolling and pretty soon the 'old' you will be back.

Toni how sweet that your DH wants to be there for Zarah's first Santa visit. I wonder if she will grab Santa's beard and try and eat that too......it wouldn't be the first time that's happened to a Santa anyway.

Cass it doesn't rain with you, it pours, doesn't it! I hope the cr*p stops now that it's Friday! Headlice is a common problem especially with girls (because of long hair) so you can bet your bottom dollar that it won't be the last time you'll be treating your girls. My SIL sells some really good stuff so PM me if you want the details. I'll keep my FX for you re: the blood tests too.

Kymmy I had size 0 suit with mittens when DS1 was a baby but I haven't seen any for years now. GL with your search.

Lavinia good to hear that you survived your return to work.

Danielle Nevada must be using every drop of nourishment she gets to grow instead of put on weight....think of the $ you're saving by her still being in NB clothing. LOL

Lisa kick that ole mothers' guilt to the kerb sweetie cos you're doing a brilliant job there.

AmyLou every time I see that photo of Blake it makes me grin....he has a very contagious smile on his cute lil face. Xmas shopping is almost finished here....I have 1 layby to pay off and DP is yet to get Justyns' special xmas pressie (it's on order so it had better get here in time). Oh and I have to get something for Jaymi too but that's easy. Are you done with your xmas shopping yet?

Taren I got my SS pressie on Monday and it's been sitting up there staring at us all week. Have fun tonight!

Jordan :smiliedance: for finding your wallet!!! Who cares if you're a ********* or not...the main thing is that you can now go xmas shopping for your gorgeous kids.

Sarah I'm so glad I'm not your mum having to contend with you as a child!

 to everyone else and :hugs: to all.

hi girls

what a miserable day it's been here today! oh well, if we don't leave the house we can't spend any money i s'pose!
bub is still being good for me most of the time. she gets cranky quickly though when she turns it on. she's been getting up once/twice through the night recently - after sleeping through for a few weeks.
hubby is away at a christmas do tonight in syd.
dd1&dd2 have stretched my frustration levels tonight ...grrr, why don't they listen the first time....
:xmas: secret santa - - i haven't received bub's pressie as yet either :xmas:

Hi girls - well, I think we've gotten rid of the nasties for now. I also had to treat myself, as DH found some eggs laying in wait (ewwww). Thank God though, Piper has NOTHING! Will be keeping an eye on her, and continuing treatment of myself and the two big girls.

Jel & Judy - the weather here has been atrocious today too. Like Shep, we've been consistently raining all day, which has been a nice break from the heat, but makes the natives a bit restless (and yes, i do mean the girls!)

Judy - do I whinge a lot? I'm sorry if I seem to be - I feel like that is all I've been doing lately too! I will try to be a bit more upbeat from now on! See -> smiles :D. Thanks for the tip re: stuff for the nits. If this Moov stuff doesnt' work, I'll PM you and get the details.

Jordan - YAY about your wallet (you goose!) Come on, spill - where was it?
I had a similar scare when in Mt Beauty a few weeks ago, but the wallet had gone "up" the back pocket of the pram, which I didn't know was possible. Thank god I didn't carry on like a pork chop like I usually do!

Sarah - I'm very much like you and the blame is always placed squarely on Dh's shoulders

Danielle - Pip's the same with the growth in length. In 8 days, Piper only gained 70gm (average is 150-220) but she grew 2.5cms in length! Just keep doing what you are doing

Nothing planned for the weekend, which will be blissful! Bring on the nothing! woo hoo :yelclap:

do I whinge a lot?Hell no! I didn't mean it to come across that way, I just meant that you've had a sh!t of a week.

Good to see you treated yourself as well. An egg or two means one adult lice is in your hair laying them. BTW the stuff my SIL sells is all natural and hasn't been tested on animals etc. She started selling it after trying everything on the market for her own girls and nothing seemed to work 100%. Now she swears by it.

Have a great weekend of doing nothing. :hugs:

Jordan, I'm so glad to hear you've found your wallet! Try not to feel like a d*ckhead though, I'm sure we've all misplaced things! You'll have to put up Izzie's pixi photos for us to see! I got some done of Katelyn when she was a bub....only planned to get the one free one but ended up getting a lot more & spending too much.....so we're probably not going to take Charlotte to pixi photos LOL.

god you girls can write!!!
well Ive been out of the loop for afew days so ill just tell you about my lovely week!
Wednesday i went down to the post office (post SS gifts and pick up some parcels) so i have Rowyn in th esling and Aby tied up in her harness and shes chatting away to a little boy in front of us, as I'm being served shes managed to twist her self around me and i had to drop the lead to get my hand free to get to my wallet in the two seconds that it takes to get out my wallet BOOM! shes gone! I'm searching every where(thinking shes playing hiding from mummy in amongst the cards and things) when this stupid old biddy ask if I'm looking for a little girl in a pink and blue tshirt! she says oh she was looking outside the door so i let her out to play!!!!!!:hair: who lets a 2yr old outside in to a busy shopping mall carpark to play!!!
so i just dropped my parcels and my wallet and went tearing outside calling and looking desperately and thankfully the lady who was infront of me (with the little boy) had found her and taken her up to the information desk then headed back to the post office to let me know
i was terrified and i really wanted to kill this poor old crazy 80+ grandmother
(luckily too the PO lady put my wallet and parcels behind the counter for me:o)
the last two days have been fairly norm just finished of the Xmas shopping(yeah know i just have to do the big food shop) got Abys hair cut( a mission in its self) and had Rowyns 12 week check up
he is a whopping 7.4kgs!!
I'm not going to attempt personals with every one but just want to say
JORDAN dont worry about losing your wallet i lose it & my sunnies all the time in fact a fortnight ago i almost left a sleeping Aby in target:p
KYMMY i know bonds dose onsies with mittens but i haven't seen them since the warmer weather started
PINK dont stress about the BFing its not the end of the world if it doesn't work out! bottles aren't evil no mater what allot of BFing mothers mite say
I'm in the same boat with the professional baby pics
(spent 100s of $$ on Aby and just had some of Rowyn can buy individuals for $15 or the lot for $200 but how do you not end up with all 20 shots? )
as for the water/breast feeding dilemma your body automatically makes more fore milk when the weather is hot so as long as your drinking allot of fluid your baby will be fine!
well thats me for today ill try to get on tomorrow
P.S i havnt recived SS yet

Hello there :xmas:, I haven't been on for a few days as I have not had a chance. However, DH is on hols now so will no doubt have more time to myself over the coming weeks although he is bed atm with a hangover from his Xmas p+ss up yesterday.

Jordan So glad to hear u found your wallet, that was the best news!!!!

Cass Re nits: I seen on TV a while back a product test of the best treatment for nits and Jordan is right :yes:, loads of cheap conditioner and nit comb worked the best against anything else. I feel itchy just typing this.. GL! My friend has 2 daughters and I noticed they now have bobs as nits just keep going around. My 2 nieces whom are teenagers now seemed to grow out of them around 14, they always had them, it is a nightmare for parents keeping them away. Just keep combing them out in the bath with heaps of condition and you will keep them under control .

Danielle They may think her length is contributing to her lack of weight gain but that to me is still not satisfactory. We all really feel you but you have had tests done and there is nothing apparent causing her lack of interst??? :fingerscrossed: this changes soon.

Lisa Thinking of you luv! Glad to hear you have spoken with a LC and look forward to hearing about your meeting with her.

I have a card to collect something at the PO, mmmmm wander what that could be?

Fleur OMG...7.4kg, what was Rowyn born, that is a huge weight.

I weighed Oliver 2 days ago and he was 5.5kg, he isn't huge but was born 2.6kg so a gain of 3kg which is good.

Kymmy Not sure if you know but the Bonds Wondersuits (mmmmmm) the cuffs turn over to cover the hands if needed. I did this a bit in the winter with Nicholas (born July) as he slept with his hands out.

It rained all day yesterday, lastnight and is still going. James is being such a lovely little man today and keeps trying to butter me up. He got-up at 5:20am and I sent him back to bed and he then slept till 8:30 as I know he needed it. He keeps asking if it is ok to play with this and that and says I love you mum, ohhhh gush!

Hi chicks
Mickie - Great to see you back, we missed you. I thought you'd made a typo when you said you were 22!! I just assumed you were around my age with kids their age - you've got a good head on your shoulders luv! I love the idea of young mummies esp when they're teenagers :)
Loz - Great to see you back too. What a cutie James is :bee:
Fleur - Yikes on Aby disappearing, that must've been so scary.
Judy - What did you buy on ebay?

We're having a lovely weekend so far. Went for a swim this am then i've got the night off, which'll be lovely as i'm knackered. Then tomorrow it's my family Christmas at my parents as we're off to nz -choice!

Jordan - yah you have your wallet back. so where did you find it?

Georgia - Sounds like you have had a lovely arvo, hope you get some sleep tonight for your big day tomorrow, when are you off to nz? for how long?

Loz - that sounds so yummy, a little bit of bad food is good for ya :)

Fleur - wow 7.4kg, thats awesome, how big was he when born?

I have my ss pressie :yelclap:. Its so hard not being able to open any pressies!!!!
We went for a bit of a shop today, we also got Mia's photo taken with Santa which was fun. I swear each year here is getting hotter, its a stinker here today, perfect weather for getting this washing hung out to dry.

Have a good day everyone :)

Cass, Loz & Georgia - My bank account was depleted simply from buying 2 things....A cute little dress and hat (brand new) for Jasmine and the rest went on a welding helmet for DP. He has been whinging that he wants one for one for ages so he will now be getting one for xmas. It's not a boring black one though...it's painted blue and has the cross thingy and all the stars as per the Australia flag.

Fleur my greatest fear has always been losing one of my kids somewhere....I don't know how you stayed so calm cos I would have freaked! That silly old lady obviously has no idea when it comes to kids cos my nan (RIP) would never have done anything as stupid as that. I'm so glad Aby is ok.
Rowyn is a very healthy weight! He's only a week younger than Deon and I'm sure Buddha Boy probably weighs about the same by now. I must drop into the HC this week and get him weighed.

Loz how wonderful that your DH is going to be home to give you some free time here and there for a while. Make the most of him being around without feeling guilty for slacking off. How's little Oliver doing?

Mickie welcome back...we missed you too! Isn't it cute when they find their hands? Deon has also found his lately and is beginning to grab things as well. Do you feel strange now that your big girl has finished prep? I recall feeling strange when my big boys ended their 1st year of prep...it's that sudden realisation that they're not babies/toddlers anymore.

Georgia lucky you getting the night off....I wish that'd happen to me! Enjoy your early Xmas tomorrow.

Lavinia can't wait to see Mia's Santa photo. I'm glad you can get your washing dry....put anything on the line here and it'll be soaked in 2 seconds flat!

Me - I seem to have woken with a lump at the top of my right boob and nothing is working to clear it. I have massaged it, Deon has drained it several times (I pumped the other side), had a hot shower and massaged it in there and I also pumped it to see if that would work but no luck. If it doesn't clear up by Monday I'm going to have to go to the dr's cos it's already tender. :(

 to everyone not mentioned!

OK proud mummy moment here- Izzy rolled from his tummy to back for the 1st time today and twice but now I think we will run into some trouble regarding sleeping because he's a tummy sleeper if he rolls onto his tummy he wont go back to sleep

Judy- Ebay is the reason for my credit card debt STAY AWAY :shame: but it was for a good cause wasnt it? Sounds like you have mastitis hun if its not budging :hugs:

Well before I left for DD's chrissy party I was wrapping up a couple of pressies I'd chucked all the sticky tape wraps etc into a plastic bag and threw it in the garage yesterday when I went to wrap more pressies my wallet was just sitting in there where I must have put it :o

Oh and I'm quite sure my children wont be expecting anymore siblings she was seen out drinking/partying last night whether or not she'd do it while preg I dont know but I will find out :devil6:

Aww Mickie you will have to share some newer pics of Rhy I'd love to see him now its been so long :cloud9: I cant belive your big girl is in grade 1 next year I dont want my babies to grow up

Katelyns mum I have posted a couple of the pixi fotos on facebook I am so impressed with how they do things now and all the pics (besides the free one, I think they make the free one the ugliest so you buy the rest for the best ones lol) were so worth the $490

Bbubs awake so I'm off to bath them will be bck later though

Hi girls

Leece try not to get upset, i know its hard but you have already given Jack the best pressie of all.. your his mum and your a great mum, he doesn't need more than that :) i think most of us are doing it tough, xmas is about spending time with loved ones thats all that matters

Judy i use to be quiet the ebay addict for romance novels of all things! My fav author is Jennifer Wilde who was actually a man writing romance novels under womens names ... hmm what ever sells novels i guess!! anywho he only ever realised one or two books in oz the rest in the states so ebay made it easy to get them luckly these days i dont check it as often, im glad you got some great stuff and that Miss J has been a good girl. How is Master D and the big boys?

Jordon good news about the wallet, im sure we have all done things like that a million times.... i do hope that shes not pregnant if shes been out drinking alot (for the babies sake) and isn't so adoreable when they start to roll!! I know during the day Hunter is a tummy sleeper and he wakes constantly when either the dummy falls out or he rolls over... during the night he will only sleep on his back... funny how they get set in there ways he also doesn't have a dummy at night.

Cass any news yet on your test results? :fingerscrossed: its nothing serious how are your gorgeous girls? is Pips hair still getting lighter? Hunters has gone from black to a reddy colour on its way to blonde, for some reason myself, my brother and Cooper and now Hunter regardless of what colour we are born with we go a coppery colour before we go very blonde..

Lavinia Id love to see the pic of Miss Mia with santa... im too scared to take my boys Hunter screams blue murder if anyone but me holds him (sometimes hes ok with hubby) and Cooper is so forward and inquisitive and will most likely pull his beard off or pull his top down and have a look (he does this espically with girls haha and yes sometimes has a grope!! good thing he only really sees me and mum haha)

Georgia glad to hear your having a nice weekend :)

Loz im guilty of maccas this weekend too  argh why did they have to build one like 5 doors down from where i live?? ok its 5 houses down and across a few metre bridgey thing... wayyyyy to close

Mickie nice to meet you :) heheheh just kidding glad to see your back! Hope you and the kiddies have been well.

Fleur i would have had a massive panic attack if that was me, you handled it so well, what was with the old lady letting her out... people are strange!!

Danielle im glad Nevada is gaining length and i hope she starts gaining weight soon, i know this is something you would have already thought of but its not the formula that shes on?? that maybe its something simple that she doesn't like the taste? i know that sounds silly but i had the exact same problem with Cooper tried a few diff formulas and he obiviously foudn one he liked and drank it and only it, when he got older and i tried to change formulas again we had the same problem....

Lisa how are you going with the BF? i hope your feeling better, your a great mum doing a great job... its not easy.. hang in there, no matter what you decide to do your still a great mum doing whats best for your bub.

Kymmy did you have any luck with the suit? could you sew mittens onto other outfits? or maybe attach them via snap clippy things?

hi to everyone else i wanted to keep doing personals but hubbys booting me off the comp... grrr... men..

have a good weekend girls

oh were doing ok here... still trying to get Cooper to bed :( could be in for a long night hes cutting his 3rd old molars? poor little guys gone from only having 6 teeth to almost every tooth over the last few weeks

hiya girls!
well ive had a bugger of a day
after it poring rain for two days to day it was in th em Id 30s and so hot and dry!
made th ekiddiewinks cranky and irritable!
Rowyn has finally gone down for a sleep hasn't had any thing more than little booby naps since 9am!
mumm2jack I'm so sorry you blew you Xmas budget! i hate centerlink with a passion, i couldn't even get them to tell me before i had Rowyn a rough guesstimate of how much family tax if any id would get and i still dont know if ill get any of the Xmas bonus! but try not to stress about jack (the truth is we have a whole cupboard full of toys for Aby and all Rowyns getting from Santa is a new squeaky rattle thingy:p)
hayleysmummy I'm so jealous of your rolling bub! Rowyn is just a chubby lump(a extremely cut one) that just sits around smiling and giggling!
CCsSuprise I'm a huge ebay addict, i couldn't even begin to guess how much money Ive spent but i console my self that there all bargains! i buy Aby Heep's of clothes ( pumpkin patch and Ollie) for less than 1/2 than they are in the shops, Ive bought a toddler bed for under $100 Cd's DVDs you name it we've bought it on ebay(hubby even bought vanilla pods!)
it was the longest and most terrifying 3 minutes of my life when she was lost its amazing how many dreadful things flashed through my mind including visions of me beating the poor old dear to death! we have a nursing home just up the road I'm thinking perhaps she wasn't supposed to be out on her own if you know what i mean?
with your sore booby can you see a little whites lump on the nipple? kinda like a pimple?
if you can thats like dried up milk blocking that one duct it will hurt but if you jump in the shower and squeeze it and pull the lump with tweezer(some time it will pop out on its own) you'll clear the duct, it happens to me all the time always the exact same duct, was told with Aby i must have denser tissue there
lavin he wasn't a huge baby 3.45 but he has been packing it on!
georgianne have a great Xmas!:noel:
mixy whats a sling meet?
the baby photos are such a scam! i always get roped in with the one freebie end end up buying the whole lot for a few 100 dollars! with Rowyn i had photos taken by a photographer the other day i get a free and all the others are $15 each or for a special bubhub only Xmas offer i can buy them for $200 rather than $400 haven't decided yet what to do.... well my younger brother is coming up tonight(yea!!:smiliedance:)haven't seen him in donkeys doodles! and tomorrow we are off to Carrol's
Aby will hopefully love it(thats why he is coming the big gay punk would never be seen at a Xmas event otherwise but he loves his niece)

well i think Ive caught up with most every one for those Ive missed ullo and salutations!

Changed my name the other day and its finally gone through yay!. A bit of a mouthfull though but atleast I cant be told off for ignoring one of my bubs lol.

A big :hugs: to Amy re the PND, I know I talked to you on FB but just letting you know again that I am here for you hun, as im sure is everyone else on here!.

Lisa- GL with the LC's, and dont feel guilty no matter what decision you make!. Your a great mummy and your not alone!, I feel useless sometimes when I have Sierra and caelyn both screaming at me...Its not fair that they are not born with their own manuals!.

Jordan- Glad to hear you got your money back!!.

Cass- GL with the tests! Im keeping my :fingerscrossed: that its just the glasses!.

Mickie- Good to see you again hun!.

Judy- I hope that lump goes away!. Anything like that is always so scary!.

Mickie - How did your sling meet go?

No luck with suits with mitts. I could get sleeping bag with mitts though. The Bonds suits don't have fold over mitts in size 0. I have to use mittens with them.
I can get eczema suits from NZ so might do that.

Hey ladies! Hope everyone is having a happy Sunday!

My lump wasn't getting any better last night and by the time I went to bed I was in agony. I did the right thing and fed him off that boob to continue trying to clear it even though it felt like my boob was on fire and about to explode. At 5am I fed him for 10 mins off the left and then 20 or so mins off the right (the sore one) and again it felt like it was on fire. The good thing is that when he woke again at 8:30am and I fed him, it wasn't on fire and the lump had gone down a bit. It's not completely gone but the redness in the areola has gone and it's only slightly tender....so :fingerscrossed: it goes away completely soon.
My brand new dishwasher didn't want to work last night and I ended up quite p!ssed off. The store I bought it from was gonna get a very nasty call on Monday but luckily when DP plugged it in this morning, it worked. Here's hoping it doesn't stuff up again.

Jordan I'm a good girl, I don't have a credit card - I have a debit Mastercard but I paid by bank deposit transfer therefore I'm using my own money. I'm so glad that you found your wallet....it's so easy to leave things in odd places so don't feel too bad. The main thing is that your kids won't miss out.

Leece don't feel bad about not having as much $ as you wanted. TBH, Jack won't even remember his 1st Xmas so buy him a few little special things and enjoy the festive season.

Felicity poor little Cooper cutting so many teeth at once...that'd be tough on anyone. Are you sure he's cutting his 2nd molars cos my info tells me that toddlers only have 2 sets of molars. Maybe you're counting the eye teeth as molars? How is Hunter doing?

Fleur thanks for the advice...I didn't have any pimply type things just a touch of mastitis. Enjoy your brother's visit and the carrol's too. I'm sure he'll be a huge help keeping the kids entertained for you.

Alison that's a very suitable name change. :yelclap: Keep working on DH re: the house.....if you're as good as any other female is, you'll manage to change his mind without him realising it.

Kymmy what a shame they don't make the Bonds suits with the fold over mitts anymore. At least there are some available even though they have to come from NZ.

:hugs: to all!

OMG I can't believe how quiet it is in here today - we must all be busy little mummies!

Not much going on here, except a lot of weight-loss sabotaging! We are making chocolate christmas pizzas for our friends, which involves melting down chocolate, then making a pizza shape with it, then sticking lollies on the top in "slices" of colour. Very nice and yummy unfortunately

Piper is still being an angel. she slept almost 12 hours overnight which cuts down on her feeds during the day. So I'm feeding her at the start of her awake time, and then again just before she goes down for a nap, trying to keep her weight gaining. It should work!

Kymmy: Have you checked out oztion.com.au or ebay?

Leece: Bummer about the money hon, but as Judy said, he won't remember, just take heaps of pics of him having cuddles with everyone, and that's all he needs.

Judy: Well done on the lump removal - keep it up, and hopefully it'll shift soon. I remember how much that hurts! Ow!

Alison: How you going convincing DH? You'll work him over, don't worry!

Nothing else really going on here. I hope all is well with everyone

I agree Cass it is quiety in here and I'm soooo bored well the house is a pigsty, the kids are asleep and I couldnt be bothered cleaning :o

I'm pretty sure Pip will keep up the weigth gain your doing great and she's always smiling :cloud9:

Leece- Dont worry about the money I spent a whopping $44 on Izzy for chrissy and thats it he wont know any different so it doesnt matter :hugs:

Judy I'm glad to hear your boob is healing sounds very painful

Does anyone here sew I want to buy a sewing machine and sew bits of material on singlets etc for the kids but I have absoloutley no idea what I'm looking for

Its about 30 degrees here today and stinking hot I might give the kids a cool bath when they wake up

Lucky you Jordan - it's only about 17 here today and raining! :rain:
We're all rugged up coz the wind is very cold too - I would love for the summer to come back now please!

Just had to send Baylee to time out. She speaks to me with attitude, so I say "Baylee, don't speak to me like that, what do you have to say to me?" and she said "Sorry" with attitude! I don't think she's very bright when it comes to things like that! so now she's in her room forcing out a cry, and thumping around. She knows that time out doesnt' start until she calms down, but she doesn't get that the more she carries on, the longer shes in there

Was cutting up fruit for a fruit platter for the kids, and came across these strawberries. Check out the size of them! They are literally the same size as the orange and almost as big as the apple - the cherry looks tiny in comparison! Bizarre!

Hi All

Fleur - have fun with your brother coming up. I'm thinking you may be missing your daughter for a while when he is up cause she will be following him around...

Judy - Ouch, I hope the boob starts to feel better soon.

Jordan - glad you found your wallet. I wouldn't worry too much about the house work... sometimes you just have to have me time otherwise you spend your days looking after bubs/kids and cleaning...

Alison - GL with the house hunting... I'm sure you can talk your DH around.

Cass - Wow, 12hrs is a huge sleep... You must be loving the sleep. The best I can get out of Zarah is 9 hrs or so. No matter what time I put her down she always wakes up at 5. But we are wrapped that she is sleeping through... I'm guessing Baylee is not the popular daughter in your house at the moment...

Leece - Zarah's not getting much for christmas either. I got her a couple of small things but have not gone overboard cause she is not going to remember it anyway.

Us - I had a friend visit today with her tiny little bub. He was born 6 weeks early (he's a couple of months now) and he is now about the size that Zarah was when she was born, about 3.5kgs. When I was holding him I just couldn't get over how much she has grown. You know that they have increased but you just don't realise until you see them against a newborn.

We took Zarah for her Santa pic yesterday and she did try to eat Santa's beard . She was really good and was smiling heaps but the silly lady taking the photo's kept taking the pics just as she stopped smiling...

I hope everyone is enjoying the remainder of their weekend.

Cass those chocolate pizza's sound yummy! You'll have to show us a pic of your finished products...if there's any left. ;)
Piper is going great guns so keep doing whatever works regardless of what the MCHN says.
Holy cr*p those strawberries are huge!

Jordan I have a Janome sewing machine and overlocker and I swear by them. They're so easy to use but it all boils down to personal preference. Do a bit of research on what you want because you may be able to pick up a basic model on the cheap. If you're not going to do anything fancy then it's not worth buying a 'you beaut' one.
Ohhh how I wish it was 30 here! I'm with Cass.....WTF has summer disappeared to?

Toni I hope you didn't pay much for the Santa photo seeing as the photographer was lousy!
I have to agree with you about not noticing how much our own bubs have grown. My gf held Deon yesterday and she was amazed that he had grown in length and thinned out especially in the face...all this in less than a week. It made me realise that his 00 clothing is now loose around the trunk and a bit stretched in length.
It's nice n quiet here.....DP has taken Jasmine to the shops and Deon is asleep. The only noise is the sound of the dryer and Justyn peeling carrots....oh and me slurping away at my coffee.

Judy - lucky you for having some peace and quiet! I've been listening to the girls bickering all arvo, but Mick has been doing craft with them all arvo - I don't have the patience to do craft, and it turns out to be miserable for all if I get involved! :o
I'm also hearing Piper filling her nappy - that kid is amazing with the poop!
I think I may take the 2 big girls off to Target to get DH a chrissy present this evening- they were asking about it today, and seemed a little distressed that they hadn't bought anything for us yet - how sweet is that!
Here is a pic of the chocolate pizza: this is the first one we did.

http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z131/cassvanm/Christmas2008002.jpg (http://i193.photobucket.com/albums/z131/cassvanm/Christmas2008002.jpg)

Toni - yes the 12 hours was huge, it's usually about 9-10 hours, but she is an exceptional sleeper like the other two. I've never really felt any sleep deprivation with my kids, except when heavily pregnant. Even when she was newborn, she only fed twice a night at the most.
This is why i am keen to go back for number four

OMG I wish Deon had been noisy this arvo when he filled his nappy. First I knew of it was when the aroma drifted upwards and into my nasal passages....YUK!

Mmmmmmmmmmm that chocolate pizza looks good. I'm glad DS2 wasn't behind me when I looked at the pic or he'd want to make some. Chocolate coated strawberries are the extent of my food creativity this weekend.

#4 Cass? Best you get moving on that before Mick gets the snip!

All I have to do now is cook the herb & garlic schnitzels for dinner....DS2 has organised the vegies and they're waiting happily in the steamer. I reckon the washing that I didn't get done today can wait till tomorrow....I'm in no rush to do it.

Judy that dinner sounds delicious and Cass that chocolate pizza, I will remember that for when DS is a bit older, he would just eat the lot now. Today he asked for a stick of butter out of the fridge and took it to his sofa and started unwrapping it to eat it, the kid would eat butter by the handful.
I'm with Cass.....WTF has summer disappeared to?
Yep, me too, we are all in the chilly zone I think. Though we are spending a week in Brisbane over Christmas so that will warm us up nicely I reckon.

haha, sophia loves butter too and if it's out on the bench, she'll stick a spoon in it and eat spoonfuls of it. Lovely!

We've had a lovely day and now i'm going to bed. Sophia's fave song atm is Jingle bells, I love hearing her little voice!
Charlie is still fab and is a little buddha boy - he'sout of the 00 and is in 0's now - Sophia was wearing 0's at age 1! Scary.

hi every one hope you all had a great week end! (mine just starts what with hubby being a chef so I'm not on much Monday Tuesday)
well my little brother came up(hehe he is 6ft5" and I'm 5ft2") and this morning when Aby got out of bed she sat in the hall way arranging fisher price little ppl and a few other toys out side the spare room door before telling me to "get uncle trabis up!"
it was fairly warm here today up around 27 with a hot wind but its starting to rain again now and was poring down the lake all morning but we went to carols anyway it was great Aby loved it so much we've decided to go again next week!
CCsSuprise i love that Santa flik!
I'm glad your mastitis is clearing there is nothing worse!
cass seems that Piper, Deon and Rowyn spent the day pooping! i had 4 today and 2 last night the good thing is i wont have a another poopey nappy till at least Wednesday
we have also been buying the "daddy strawberries" as Aby calls them there fantastic!
and I'm sure the fruit will help counter the chocolate pizzas!:p hows Baylees TO going?
Mia Aby also eats butter buy the handful and paints with it to! a few months ago i got home from work one Sunday night to find my self locked out and hearing hubby snoring on the lounge, well Aby was yelling mummy mummy and laughing hysterically as i hulled my fat pregnant but through our bedroom window i snuck into the lounge room to scare hubby only to discover the coffee table and Aby where covered in butter:laughing:
Anthony swears he was only asleep for maybe 5 minutes but i dont believe him:p
Tls5431 i understand what you mean with the little newbies! my niece had a daughter three weeks(maybe four now) and we went to visit last week and she was so tiny but yet she was bigger born then Rowyn!
flick i too buy way to many books of ebay in fact i have to ban my self at times (though i currently have on my watch list a signed first edition hard back of my all time fave author its currently at $1200 us dollars so.....not meant to be, i feel for you with cooper Aby seems to be in pain at night to she goes off to bed all right but wakes up several times crying before she finally drops off, i think maybe she has a ear ache/infection as she tugs her ear quite hard at night time so we are off to the docs on Tuesday
mum2sierra&caelyn good luck with the house hunting!:fingerscrossed:
kymmy why are you so keen on the mitten suits?
georgianne i cant belive Charlie is in 0!!! my little ball of butter is still in 000 (well only the no legs 00 in legs)

well thats it from me for now
hope everyone has a great start to there week!

Leece - we actually haven;t gotten J anything! How slack are we?! But i figure her grandparents are going to have it all covered and she is not going to remember it anyway... will prob get her something small.

Judy - how is the lump? any better??

Cass - those chocolate pizzas... i'm drooling!

Toni - we got a santa pic on the weekend too and i was worried about Santa's beard being a little too much like a cocker spaniel ear and getting pulled! but she behaved;). Although Santa kept trying to prop her in the crook of his arm and she hates that - so I had to sit her up with her legs over his leg so she was sitting up straight. We also had a dunce of a photographer who would watch her smile and then say "oh should i take it now?". grrr.

J is rolling now too - although she seems to regard it as an inconvenience and is more interested in attempting to get moving. She's going to be a menace when she can I think!

 to everyone I have missed!

Oh - back to my warm weather questions - will a sling be too hot for her when we are up there?

I had no idea butter was such a staple food for two year olds, I feel much more normal now thx haha.

Went to MACH today and Cami has broken the 6kg (6030g) so that's lovely (but don't grow big too fast my little girl!). She is about 60cm long and 40cm head so that's all easy to remember for now. She's having a huuuuge nap this afternoon that is throwing out my other plans but didn't sleep very well this morning so fair enough.

Hello!
Mick's just got back from the snip-doctor - he's booked in for Feb which is good - saves me making silly oopsies!
Called the doctors clinic today - I have an appt to discuss the results on Wednesday morning - never a good sign! They will tell you over the phone if everything is ok, but the receptionist said "the doctor wants you to come in to discuss the results" :(. I'm trying to not let my imagination run away with me, but it's hard, as he'd discussed things such as MS etc. Fingers crossed it's just low iron or something.

Mia: Congrats on Cami breaking the 6kg mark - Piper is still no where near that, however she is taller than Cami! She's my tall streak of misery!

All: Whats with the butter? My kids don't have that obsession, but my friends boy (5yo) loves butter sandwiches :barf:

Not much else going on here. I think Pip is having another growth spurt (WTF - she grew 2.5cm last week!), as she's draining both sides every 2.5-3 hours and is crying for more. Little piggy!

Hi All

I hope everyone is having a great day... A little quiet in here at the moment.

Cass - Number 4 huh. That I can understand. We have started talking about number 2 and FX everything stays ok with my thyroid until Juneish next year so we can start then. BTW how did you go with your results?

Judy - I hope you enjoyed your quiet afternoon

Georgia - I can't believe charlie is in size 0's already. Alhough it does not look like it in a few of her photo's, Zarah is still in mainly 000's. I think we will be moving to 00's but I think that is still a few weeks away.

Lucy - Zarah's Santa held her cradled as well and she looks like a little squashed bug with limbs folded all over the place. Just looked at little J's pic on FB... she looks very cute. Love the hair clip. Not sure where you are off to, but if it Brisbane then it can get a bit hot for a sling at the moment. But you just don't know with the weather at the moment.

Fleur - Aby sounds very cute wanting to be around her uncle.

Had to take my dog to the vets again today. She has Geratric vertigo (can't walk very well and her eye's are darting from side to side in her head). We have her on tablets but if she is no better by tomorrow she has to go into hospital . It didn't help that I have an ultra crabby baby today who was squealing while I was trying to talk to the vet. I think she woke up on the wrong side of the cot this morning. Hopefully she will perk up a bit when her daddy comes home...

Leece - You are a fantastic mummy, so dont feel so bad :hugs: how did your job interview go, :fingerscrossed: you get it

Flick - How did Cooper go the other night with his teeth? do you think you will get Santa photos?

Alison - yah for finding a house, have you managed to convince hubby yet?

Judy & Cass - Pls take some of our hot weather down your way, its yucky sweaty weather here today

Cass - that pizza looks really yummy!!!!! :fingerscrossed: your results come back good at your app on wednesday. Yah for Piper having a growth spurth

Judy - How funny is that link

Fleur - Hope your having a good weekend with hubby and family

Toni - I hope that your dog is ok tomorrow so you dont have to take her in, its horrible when pets get sick coz they are family. ill keep my fingers crossed for you that everything is ok. How is Zarah now?

Well we have had hot hot weather all day and then storms all night! Just cant win. Ive been working again today, just half days, the time flies though at work so thats good coz all i want to do is come home and see Mia.
Its hubby's birthday tomorrow so even though i dont have to work tomorrow im going to split his work with him and he will work the morning and then ill come in and hand Mia over and work the arvo.
I cant wait for him to open his pressies, i love watching the look on his face as he opens them.
Just going to have a quiet bbq with a few mates tomorrow night, nice and easy.

Hope everyone is having a good week :hugs:

ullo
well we had a busy day today, we drove uncle Travis(my younger brother) back down to the central coast and took him to Tugerah Westfield to do some Xmas shopping then went and did the groceries! so now I'm sitting here contemplating what to cook for dinner but really avoiding going in to the kitchen at all (the men folk cooked last night and though they put the dirty dishes through the dish washer they dont seem to understand wiping down benches or cleaning up stuff split all over the floor!)
i had th kids photo taken with Santa a few weeks ago and I'm not all that happy with it (Aby looks like a dear in the head lights and Rowyns well all crooked!) I'm thinking maybe trying again but we will see
lucyB where are you going? I'm in Newcastle and have been putting Rowyn in the sling (its been up in the high 20s and low 30s) but for the middle of summer when its really muggy i have a mesh sling rather than the cotton one i also like to use a meitie when its really hot
Mia & Jel congrats on breaking the 6kg mark!!
also besides butter do your 2 yr olds love salt? mine also licks the salt shaker!:barf:
Cass I'm hoping that your results come back and that its nothing serious (maybe a sneaky baby #4? before Mick's gets the snip :p)
Tls5431 i hope your dogs OK ! we had to take our poor old man to the vet a while ago (just old age) but the whole time we were there Aby was running out the back to talk to the other animals in the cages or jumping on the scales
the joys of parent hood
lavin hope you have a great day with the hubby for his birthday!

Hello ladies:wave:

Well i am back to do some personals i feel so slack, i just cant keep up lol!!!!

Fleur - sorry ur chrissy photo wasnt what u wanted:( i hope if u do go again u get a great one - they slogg u a bit these days for a chrissy photo too - oh and dont get me started on men - lol when i ask my dh to do the dishes or something he has soap suds everywhere and leaves the sink full of muck and benches all grotty sometimes its easier to do it urself lol.

kymmy - use socks lol esp now with it getting hotter u can get some really nice thin cotton socks.

Lavin - hope the bday goes well...think u r a champ getting back to work i need to but cant be ar$ed lol...so lazy...have a great day tom

Tls - awww ur poor doggy i hope it will be ok....isnt it funny how babies can wake in such fowl moods some days then other daysjust lay until u come in...funny things they are - good luck with the doggy...

Jel - my ds#2 likes butter to weird - ur bubs weights about the same as addi .... i wish they would slow down it goes so fast!!!!

cass - i hope everything goes ok with the doctors on wed:(my fingers are crossed for u xxx wow pip being a good bubs growing up so fast!!!

mia - i am with u i dont want addi to grow to fast either she is my last and i want to keep her a baby forever!!!

a big hello to all the lovely ladies i missed (at least i did some finally lol)

Mia Jasmine also loves butter...it must be a 'thing' with toddlers.

Georgia wow 0's already? Little Charlie doesn't sound so little anymore!

Fleur did you manage to take a photo of Aby and the butter episode? Those events are worth keeping a visual record of even if you just use it against them at their 21st. hehehe
Enjoy today and tomorrow with hubby while he's home...I'm sure you'll love the 'poo free' days. BTW I never get 'poo free' days.....my 2 bubs always make sure of that.
What did you end up having for dinner tonight? I did roast lamb and vegies and it was yummmmmmy. Oh and men don't see what they don't wanna 'do'....mine is the same.

Lucy the lump is almost entirely gone but it's still rather painful to feed from that side. I'm guessing the pain will slowly subside like the lump did.
Yay for J rolling already....you might have an early crawler/walker on your hands there. Look out if you do cos they're harder to find when they're tiny. DS1 was a premmy and he was walking by 7.5months and man! was he a little bugger to locate in the huge house I had back then!

Taren YAY for the 1 night feed! Isn't it wonderful not to have to wake up so often anymore?!? :fingerscrossed: it continues and her day sleeps are much better too.

Cass if you want #4 you better get busy prior to Feb, hun. GL Wednesday with your results....I hope it's something simple that you don't need to stress about.

Toni sorry to hear about your sick doggy....I hope she gets better by tomorrow. Did Zarah get out of her crabbiness when daddy got home?

Lavinia it's great that your work days are going quickly. That's less time wasted wanting to get home to Mia. :D Happy birthday to hubby for tomorrow and I hope he loves every present you give him.

Kymmy do tell what was interesting at the MCHN. :p

Me - My day started off great until I went to take Justyn to school and discovered that DP had gone to work with Jasmine's car seat still in his car! So much for "I won't forget to put it back in your car". Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! He's lucky my gf was able to take Justyn to school or I would have torn shreds off him when he got home. Lucky for him he came home in his smoko break and delivered the car seat.
Good news time - Deon now looks like a normal baby with a normal belly button. The hernia is completely gone and the skin has retreated to it's rightful home. He has a very cute little 'innie' now! :smiliedance:

Morning All

Cass - GL tomorrow with the results. Hopefully it is just something simple.

Lavin - Happy birthday to your hubby today. I'm sure he will enjoy it.

Judy - Yay for Deon's bellybutton. I hope your DP has learnt his lesson with the car seat :D

Fleur - there must be something about christmas Santa's and photo's no turning out. I think it is cause they pump so many people through and just try to get everyone through asap that they don't take the time when taking photo's.

Taren - GL with the clinic nurse today. Let us know how you go.

Us - Zarah did perk up when her daddy came home. She was all smiles and giggles for daddy the little minx. I think cause we spend so much time together that I must be the boring old mum . It's great though that as each week passes she seems to develop more and more personality, but is losing her babyness if that makes sense?

Tita (the dog) is a little better this morning. She is walking a little better but her eyes are still flicking. Hopefully it is enough to keep her out of the doggie hospital :fingerscrossed:

Leece - how did the job interview go?

Cass - I hope there's nothing serious wrong and the doctor is just being cautious with getting you in.

Tls - Fingers crossed your doggy is well enough to stay out of hospital. So heartbreaking when pets are sick - cos they can't tell you how they feel.

Judy - I am glad the lump has subsided - hope the pain goes away quickly too. You might be right re early crawling/ walking - she is desperate to be on the move. When on her back she will lift her pelvis up and kinda caterpillar around (except on her back and not her stomach!). Weird child!

Kymmy - you can't lead us on and just say 'interesting'! You have to tell us all about it!!

Better go - J is grizzling and demanding attnetion!

OMG it's soooooooo quiet in here today! Is everyone out xmas shopping or something?

Toni good to hear your dog is getting better. And yes, I think DP did learn his lesson with the car seat but I'm now on the lookout for one that can stay in his car so that it doesn't happen again.

Lucy how did your day go?

Me had a relatively boring day here. Went to visit my pg gf this morning who only has 8 wks to go before bub #3 is born. She's hoping it's a girl as she already has 2 boys but will be happy either way. If she has a girl then I'll be able to pass on some of Jasmine's old clothing instead of storing them.

 and :hugs: to all who are hiding !!!

Fleur - Hope you get a better pic with Santa this time, they sure do like to rush them through without paying much attention to the photos they take. So are you all done with your chrissie shopping now?

Taren - Its not to bad going to work, we dont really do a lot at the moment anyways, best time of year to get back into it as its fairly quiet over christmas. :fingerscrossed: im not jinxing myself. when are you planning on returning to work or will you be sahm? Im going to work part time once i quit my job in a about 2 1/2 yrs til Mia goes to school.

Judy - I reckon sometimes our other halves are more forgetful than we are! yeah Shannon loved his presents, he is just about to play the game i bought him. yah for Deon's innie, you must be so happy. Hope your having a good arvo :)

Toni - That is fantastic news that Tita doesnt have to go to hospital and she is doing better now, you must be so relieved. Its amazing how much our bubbas change each week hey

Well i went to work this arvo for hubby and now i better go and get ready for this bbq, haha, the only day it rains and its his birthday. It will still be all good though, i love having bbqs as they are so relaxing and easy.

Hope everyone is having a good arvo, everyone must be busy, its pretty quiet here :)

Hi Girls,

I have been lurking, but not posting for a few days - it's been quiet and I didn't really have anything to say!

I am sooooo excited about opening our SS pressies 2morro nite! I can barely wait! I am so impatient.
I used to try and sneak a peak at my Chrissy presents when I was a kid - Mum and Dad used to have to hide them very well!
And when DH bought my engagement ring (I didn't know exactly when it was coming, but had a fair idea) - he couldn't even keep it in the house as he knew I would try and find it!

I'm in for a whole lotta trouble if Amelia is anything like her Mumma! She is already impatient - so my guess is she'll be the same!

Busy day 2morro...Meeting my mother's group for lunch, then taking Amelia to get her shots, then cook a quick tea, then SS time!!! :yelclap:

Hope everyone and their gorgeous bubbas are well and almost ready for Christmas! where has the time gone?

Ok, a few quick personals...

Cass - I have my :fingerscrossed: for your test results tomorrow. I wreckon you're right in that it's probably low iron or something - here's hoping!

Toni - Sorry to hear about Tita. Glad she is doing better and didn't have to go to doggy hospy.

Judy - Gr8 news bout Deon's hernia! Millie still has a tiny hernia, but I'm sure it will clear up - she has a 1/2 innie/outie!

Lavin - Hope you have a nice BBQ for Shannon's B'day! I love BBQ's too! We are having one on Sunday as a Xmas catchup with all our close friends at the local park. I can't wait as we have booked a tennis court too - should be a gr8 day!

Hi girls - I've been at my mums all day, so nothing to report except: Piper rolled last night! Woo Hoo! It was so nice to see it, as Mick was also there and we both saw it! She also gave herself a bit of a shock which was cute! LOL
She had shown no signs of it until about 30sec prior to doing it, so if we'd been out of the room we would have missed it!

Hi ladies,
Another quick on from me as Sierra is demanding attention!.
Caelyn rolled over yesterday twice!, So excited as Im hoping this means that there might not be an issue with her being floppy afterall :D
Sierra has been very cute and giving Caelyn lots of cuddles every time she is on the floor for tummy time :p

DH has finally decided to put in for that house, but because he took his time Im sure it will be gone by now, but going to get him to fill in his form tonight and drop them in tomorrow morning if the house IS available... here's hoping! :fingerscrossed:

Its cutting it a bit late, but going to attempt santa photos next week when my sister is on holidays and can come and give me a hand, also my neice will be there and never fails to make Sierra laugh by just looking at her so Im hoping to use that to my advantage!.

Anyways better go!.
:hugs:for everyone!
