Charlotte & Georgia's Mummy

Oooooh goody, I get to be the first to post in the new thread!!!
Happy Birthday for yesterday, Alina!! Hope you had a good day.
I went and saw Australia last night, and I LOVED it!!! Left C and G home with DH, for a girls night out, and G was pretty unsettled from what I can gather. Cried/screamed for awhile, but DH managed and got her to bed, so that's something good, but I always feel awful if I leave my girls with anyone and they cry. I feel like such a bad mummy for doing it, and now today G's sooking if I put her down to sleep.
I guess she'll get over it.
Our new mattress arrived this morning, can't wait to sleep in it!!! I did 1/2 hr on the tready, and am going to do my first post baby excercise class with the physio later. Apart from making xmas cards today too I'll be busy!!!
Catchya later,
will do personals next time, as I can't remember what was written in the other thread............sorry!
♥
What a post, and Bianca stirred, I went to reach over and must of hit some kinda of a button, and it's all gone:geek::geek:
And now Bianca is awake...and I did such good and ong personals:geek:
Better go will attempt again later:geek:
HI ladies
sorry I cant remember what's in the last thread:no:
michelle - glad you had a nice time at the movies
jasmine - yay for charlie - what a good boy
ellie - I hate it when that happens
Someone mentioned about rolling on the last thread. Chloe still isn't really rolling. She did so about 3 weeks again just the once, but hasn't done it since and she was 4 months yesterday.
Well, me - I'm having a pretty unhappy day:no:....again....
It's my wedding anniversay - 13 years. Today we've been not real happy with each other...i think I'll be glad when today is over......
I got him a card and he got me one, but I decided i'm always the one to organise things and this time he could do it - why should it always be up to me? So pretty much nothings been organised and then when he suggested to do something (after I told him I wasn't going to do it again)but now I really dont' feel like it. Ideally i would have loved for him to organise a babysitter and take me out, but for him to initaite it all by himself.
Also I had a chat to the MCH nurse yesterday - she's really lovely and I'm sure she stayed overtime to talk to me (I was her last person). Had a bit of a chat about how I've been feeling lately. She's given me some really good advice so I'll see how that goes, but she said if things get any worse to come and talk to her again or go and see my gp. I'll see how I go over the next week or so, but today not good at all:no:. Spent most of the day crying and still am....
anyway, better go ladies...

Hello girls!
Happy December!
Hope you are all well. We are going really well. DH has been home for the past few days and it has been great. Went to hospital the other day for Zaydn's feet - they are really impressed with his flexibilty and strength in his left foot - so the daily stretches and yoga I have been doing with him are helping  So only five more weeks left to go of the fulltime boots and bars - woohoo!
Z has been sleeping really well at night, only waking up the once at 3:30am for a feed. His naps during the day are pretty short - only 30 - 40 mins but I figure he is happy and healthy so I am not going to worry about it.
Zaydn is in love with our two dogs - we take him outside and when ever they bark, he bursts out giggling - it is gorgeous :cloud9: We brought all of Z's presents yesterday - I can't wait til he can "open" them. We put on a $150 limit but managed to get what we wanted for around $120 so we are happy with that.
Yvonne: :hugs: sorry about your day today - I hope it gets better. I'm glad you were able to speak to your CHN - she sounds lovely.
Ellie:  sounds like everything is going really well with you and your family which is wonderful!
Jasmine: Whoa - way to go Charlie!!! Don't you hate waking up saturated! Your nephew is very sweet, it is amazing how fast they grow up...goes way too fast!
C&G's Mummy: Glad you had a good night with your girlfriends. Did you leave DH some EBM? Have a great time at the exercise class!
Ashley: Don't stress about Kailee not rolling - every baby is different and she is not the only one who isn't doing it. Glad the sleep study went well.
Alina: happybirthday for yesterday! I love the christmas present idea - where are you getting the bracelet from? I might get one for Z for his birthday.
Better go, DH wants to watch a movie together.
Love Claire x
Good evening lovely mommies.....
Hope everyone has had a lovely day:flowerz: and I really hope that I won't loose this post:geek:
Ok so I will attempt the personals again....
Jasmine-yeay for your new nephew, sounds very sweet. Our bubs look so big compare to them, don't they, just shows you how fast is time flying. And I am so happy to see that you're sounding loads more positive than you have in the past...looks like whatever you're doing for your PND it's working:yelclap: well done.
Yvonne-:hugs: for you. I really hope it will improve for you soon, but if it doesn't I really hope that you'll go back and get some help. You have been sounding really down lately, and I wish that you'd feel better ASAP, and be your cheery self again. If you need anything you know where to find me, I would be more tahn happy to help, or just be an ear for you which will listen.
Claire-:yelclap:for Zayden and you an DH. Sounds like you are all going from strength to strength...well done. And Zayden, what a brave and clever boy he is.
C&G mum- yaey for having such a good time at the movies. So good to get out. I know what you mean about stressing when bubs cries even when I am home, let alone if I was away, I just don't wanna leave her at all, and I haven't yet and planning not to, just paranoid me. Hope you got everything done this avo, u sounded like you had heaps on, hope you got some down time too.
babyedgar- don't worry about Kailee rolling at all, Bianca has only rolled handfull of times, just seems not to be to botehred. DD1 at this age rolled left right and centre and was so on solids, there was no stopping her...Bianca nope won't have a bar of it....every child is so different.
Paula- great to hear you had a great time at your trip and to have you back. Hope you're all well.
To everyone else- A HUGE HELLO....HOPE YOU'RE HAVING A GREAT EVENING.
Us- walked to school with DD1 this morning, and on the way back a popped into a friends house who has DD2 only 5 days older than Bianca, so we had a really nice catch up, went to macdonalds for a coffee and a really nice chat. So all in all a really nice day.
Bianca had the cutest chat on the phone with my mum, it was so cute, she was laughing and gurgling, a real chatterbox, can't wait for mum to come in January to see us.
Had to have a laugh too, when I came to my friends house her MIL was there, while my friend was doing her school drop off....and she gave me a big lecture on BF being the best and FF being so baaad....(my friend FF her kids-lol)well I told my friend after....poor thing she must cop it, what an interfiering MIL.
Ok I will go now, all have a great sleep:sleeping:
Rydens Mummy

Hi all,
Well Ryden is still not well. Tooking back to the doctors and there is not much they can do. He just has to ride it out. They do agree its still ongoin from his phnumonia. But its been a month now and he still is not well. He temp has gone and he is happy and still feeding really well, has breaky and dinner now. But he has a constant cough and and horrible wheeze that is there all the time, its so loud you can here him over the telly. The other day it wasnt a wheeze it wa a constant crackling on his chest. Now his chest is fine but now wheezing. I hope he is over this by xmas.
Ry still isnt Rolling, hasnt rolled once. he can get on his side in te bath, but on the floor he lays there, he has only really just started to reach for toys on his gym thing. He loves his jolly jumper, loves standing and also loves this this i borrowed from my sister, where they stand in it and the little chair ligh movers around an activiy table when they move there legs and kick off the floor. It has a piano on the table and a mucical book and lots of other activites on it. he was been able to turn him self around once. But as for rolling.. He is too lazy. im not too concern yet. He will roll when he is ready.
He also hasnt giggled yet. He smiles heaps but hasnt giggled.
Well better go and get some chores done.

Yvonne :hugs: to you. I know exactly how you are feeling. It is horrible. Sometimes I cry when DH isnt around and have no control over it. Tears flow freely but I cant even pin point why Im crying. It just happens.
I went to my first psychiatrist app yesterday. He was so cool. Very laid back. He started swearing which I loved cos thats the type of person I am. Basically after his assesment he told me that Im not 'classically' depressed. I havent had rapid weight loss, loss in appetite or trouble sleeping. He said that my depression comes from my pregnancy hormones. Basically my hormones are too strong for me and they are blocking the seretonin that my brain is releasing to make me happy. He gave me 3 options for treatment. 1) Wait it out. This could take upto 18 months for the hormones to get back to normal. During this time I dont think anyone will like being around me. He said that if I'd been having triggers like Piper not sleeping then we could wait till she got better to see if it fixed me but I dont have any problems like that. Piper sleeps 8-9hrs a night. 2) Congitive therapy. He thinks this is a load of rubbish. You need to dedicate 4hrs a week on uninterupted time to focus on the exercises. He said he'd rather me go to a hotel for 4hrs and sleep solidly. 3) Medication. He has given me a script for Zoloft but Im not sure if I wanna start just yet. Its a very small does and he thinks Id only need it for 6-12months till my hormones start to drop to normal levels.
I feel better that Ive seen him. Now I just have to decide what action to take. Regards to continued therapy he said that we could talk till we're blue in the face every week for a year but unless my hormoes are back to normal it wont do a bit of difference. I would still be thinking & feeling irrationally. Once I use the medication or wait till the hormones are corrected I wont feel better about Brie or Pipers birth and I wont be able to think objectively about having a 3rd baby.
Anyways....Piper is meant to have her needles tomorrow but she has a cold and gunky eyes. I dont think it is congunctivitis. I think its mucus from her nose which is very runny. Very jucky to think of nose gunky in her eyes :barf:. Geez havent used that emotocon since I was pregnannt.
Gotta run as Piper is yelling at me. She doesnt seem to talk or scream anymore. Its just a very deep yell.
good morning...bianca is asleep on my lap again:bee::cloud9: so sorry for no caps...
lisa-great that u got such a great psych......he sounds extremely reasonable...and i agree with everything that u and he said......not much anyone can do if the hormones are out of wack.i know i get depressed really badly when i am on the pill or mini pill....that's why i can't be on them at all. i've been on zoloft after dd1 and had no probs with it.
stacey-:hugs:it is so worrying when such cute little bubbs are not well. i really hope that he will improve quickly to take the stress out from you. but really good to hear that he is doing great otherwise.
tara- how have u been ?
everyone else:wave: hope your day is:smiliedance: and u had a great:sleeping:.....

OMG OMG OMG OMG You will never guess what I just saw  !!!!!!!!!!!!
I just saw a thread for August 09 mums!! Im guessing it has been there for a while but just freaked me out a teeny weeny bit.
:eek::eek::crying::yelclap::cloud9: omg how time flies
hello girls
Lucy laughed yesterday :smiliedance: and its the sweetest sound, a little hearty chuckle :cloud9: but omg it takes some work i spent most of the day making stupid noises so now my throat is sore...but it was so worth it!
babyedgar-Lucy hasnt rolled either so dont be too worried, my ds didnt roll until he was about 5 months...mind you i think that was because he was too chubby.
Lyglc-i hope you have a happier day today sorry you didnt have a good anniversary :hugs:
cheezelz-its so good that you got a psychiatrist that you feel comfortable with. and im hearing ya with the yelling Lucy has found her voice well and truly now.
Rydens Mummy- hopefully ryden is better for christmas, it must be so hard on you having him sick for so long :hugs:
babynumberone-yay for zaydn! and yay for you sounds like your dedication to his stretches and yoga have really helped him along.will he sill have to wear his boots and bars part time?
ellie13- dont you just love mil! i feel sorry for your friend. isnt it nice to get out for a catch up and coffee with friends.
well i think i might have a little tantrum chucker in the making:eek: when Lucy wants a bottle she what is rite now!!! and she screams, arches her back and goes all stiff so the only safe way to make a bottle is to leave her on her mat because i cant hold her and prepare her bottles...my mum thinks its a big laugh and say "oh my isnt she like her father"(dh has a short fuse) mind you i think its funny too because she is normaly the most happest placid baby but omg when she is hungry look out!! i dont know what all the fuss is about because she only has a few mls and then isnt really intrested(she still doesnt have a huge appetite)...ahh babies... arent they just such amazing little creatures :goodvibes:
a huge hello to everyone ive missed

Yippee!! Im here to gloat. Piper just rolled from her back to belly. Was heaps of hard work by the looks of it. She is 19wks today so about time. She is a few weeks behind Brie but she is a bit more chubby than Brie so that could be the problem. No stopping her now.
:yelclap: for piper
Tara- great to hear.
Tash-:smiliedance::cloud9: so good to hear,
C&G- yep it goes too fast , I found out on 27th Nov my BFP, sp over a year!!!! gosh I am getting old:hair::hair::hair:

Hi there all
It has been busy on this new thread hasn't it??
cheezelz - :smiliedance: for piper well done on the rolling. I am kind of sad that Sean rolled so early as i wan't to keep him as a little baby for as long as possible(seeing as this is my last). AUG 09 thread seems hard to believe doesn't it?? Glad to hear your appointment went well, bloody hormones really are a pain aren't they. At least you know you have some help and there are options for you.:hugs:
tarabell - I am glad E was okay with his needles. Glad you are enjoying your boy so much, they are so worthwhile aren't they?? Hard to remember what I did without my kids really.
tashaz - yay for lucy and her giggle!!! I wonder what goes through Sean's mind sometimes when I am trying to make him laugh. He is probably thinking i am a total nutcase and what was he born into.. About the bottle she is just a girl that knows what she wants....
rydensmummy - I am so sorry your little guy is still unwell. I hope that he gets better before christmas. It is the pits having a sick little one so I hope you are taking care of yourself too.
claire - I am glad it was good news from the hospital!!!! You are a very devoted mum (as all of you here are) and Zaydn is lucky to have you which I am sure he will realise when he is a big boy!!!
Hello to C & G's mum, ellie and anyone else I have missed.
I am off this afternoon to Grace's daycare graduation. Most of the kids are off to prep next year and even though Grace isn't she is finishing up at the centre to go to C & K so she is kind of graduating. My MIL is coming to look after Hannah & Sean (depending on when he feeds) as I really want to make this afternoon all about Grace.
bye for now ladies!!

Hi Girlys,
First of all YAY for a new thread! :yelclap: I would feel sorry for anyone new trying to catch up on the posts in the old one!
Rolling/Tummy Time - Well since I last reported that Chloe rolled, no more action in that department it was almost like she did it by fluke. I am sure she'll do it lots when she feels ready though, not too worried now. Tummy time is still a drama, she really hates it (plus she gets a bit chucky from the pressure on her stomach, poor bubba).
Sleeping - I know we've discussed this before but it'll take me forever to go through the old posts. For those mum's who's bub's are sleeping through, are you doing anything special regarding the times you are getting bub's to sleep and approximately how much sleep and how often are bub's getting during the day? Chloe is still getting up between 4-6am, sometimes needing a random feed at 2:30am depending on what time she goes to sleep late arvo/early evening.
Michele - I'm interested in seeing Australia too, not a fan of Nicole Kidman these days but Hugh Jackman is nice on the eyes :o.
Jasmine - Congrats on Charlie sleeping HEAPS long, that's awesome!
Yvonne - Sorry to hear your wedding anniversary was a bit disappointing, I hope things start picking up for you soon :hugs:.
Claire - Great to hear your little family is going well and Zaydn is still a delight, he looks like such a happy little boy! Well done with his foot as well, you've done so well!
Ellie - I feel sorry for your friend having a MIL like that, mine was pretty supportive when I told her I was changing from BF to FF, I'm already paranoid about being lectured on this (by anyone) as it is.
Stacey - I hope Ryden's health improves soon, sorry that you've both been going through what you have, :fingerscrossed: he's all healed by xmas!
Tara - Hi and nice to hear you are doing well and enjoying little Emrys, sounds like he's settling well for you now!
Lisa - Good news about the psychiatrist appointment, these are very daunting so I'm glad you felt at ease, hopefully the medication helps too (I suffered depression back in 99 and the zoloft worked a treat, after 6-mths I weaned myself off of it and felt myself again - but different scenario of course mine was due to relationship breakup, loss of job, family stresses & finance issues). :hugs:
It's scary knowing new mum's are due in August 09, this is probably how the August 07 mums felt. Also congrats on Piper rolling, that is awesome!
Tasha - Awesome that Lucy is giggling! Also she sounds like Chloe's twin regarding wanting to feed, Chloe screams the house down when I'm heating her bottle (BF mum's are lucky in this respect, I always feel so bad). She is also grabbing the bottle heaps and pushes it out of her mouth then cries and wants it back in, other times she actually holds the bottle between her hands which is cute.
Paula - Hope Grace's graduation goes well.
Alina - So glad Ray is helping you out more with Aiden and helping to settle him, its nice when we get little breaks here and there (and reduces our sleep deprivation!). Have fun on PP Online, I went crazy a few weeks ago (and on ebay, Chloe has about 20 dresses now - most too big mind you doh!).
Well I think I've waffled enough, have a great night girls! :flowerz:
michelle- Bianca wakes a bit through the night, about 11, than 12.30 than I am not sure but at least 2 more times- it's just that by that stage we are both sleeping in the single bed that is in the nursery...lol.....naughty I know, but i love it.....and I don't look at the clock anymore, just give her the BBs and go to sleep, not even sure how long she feeds for, I am asleep before she is...lol. To your question, I am not really doing anything, except for co-sleeping for part of the night so I would be at least little bit functional. I think it will pass when she goes on solids, fingers crossed, but at the moment I am not too fussed. She is fully BF so it is to be expected.

Alina - E's excema is ok at the moment as he has been on cortisone cream for the two weeks, he finished it today. He actually got a staph infection on his leg two weeks ago so the Dr pounced on it to get it under control... we'll see now that he has finished the cortisone cream.
Enjoy your PP shopping!
E and I put the :xmastree: up today, I can't wait to get his presents off lay by and wrap them up for him!!
hi everyone!
I agree with everything written in the personals so I wont repeat it (also it's very late and I need to go to bed!)
I've had a much better day today. I got out a fair bit as dh was home and so I got heaps done. We even got the Christmas lights put up outside so that makes me happy! I think it looks quite nice, not too much, but nice.... The man up the end of the street looks like he's trying to win a competition - i think he is using up all the power in the street!
Chloe had her needles last night. She was pretty unsettled afterwards, but today she's been fine (although i haven't spent that much time with her today, dh looked after her mostly today).
DD1 had her last proper day of kinder today. friday she has half a day at school, and then on Monday she has kinder graduation.
Well, not much else to say, except thanks eveyone for all your support, I know I've been getting on here a bit lately when I've been feeling down, and I really appreciate all your nice comments:yes:.
Yesterday was probably one of the worst days I've had lately so hopefuly wont have another one like that for a while.
Anyway, need to sleep, so will check back in tomorrow.
Hope you all have a great sleep.

Hi everyone.
I haven't posted in a couple of days because it's just been too hot to sit at the computer.
DS has just worked out how to open his bedroom door so of course, he doesn't think he has to have his nap in the day now:shame:. He lso got up twice last night and came into our bed. For those who have older kids, do you have any tips on how to keep him in his room for sleeping?
I hope everyone is well:wave:

04-12-2008, 06:35
I had this exact issue Tahnee, i remember a few occassions where my kids would fall asleep behind the door while they were trying to open it and my kids still try to push there luck occassionally. I have a friend that used to put a barracade over the door to stop the kid getting out but they were safe and you could hear them. Unless he is also a climber ?
lyglc - sorry you have been having a rough trot, i hope things pick up for you soon, thinking of you.
Alina - hope you had a great birthday and got thoroughly spoilt.
I haven't been around much lately as things have been so busy, this week alone i am making a christmas tree cake for Playgroup Christmas party on Friday (also Bailey's birthday cake with them), I am also making a Frog cake for the family to have cake with him on Saturday (his actual birthday). On Saturday also we have a daycare Christmas party in the morning, so it is busy busy. Can't believe Bailey is almost 4, where does the time go.
Talon isn't rolling yet either, he is soooo close but not actually doing it, he gets up on his side and rocks and tries so hard but just can't do it yet, he will be 4 months old next week. He is such a delightful baby and i never really have to try and make him laugh cause he thinks Bailey is so funny, he automatically starts laughing at him. Bailey sings him songs that he seems to love.
Anyway i hope you are all doing well. I have to keep moving so i can get these kids organised for daycare. Have a great day.
Hi everyone, hope all is well..
I have been pretty quiet, things with DP are very rocky at the moment, i think it is more me then him, but i am just wanting to be single and to be left alone, have appt with doc tomorrow morning when Jade has her needle's, so will see how that goes. My Nana is still in hospital, 2 weeks now and looking like quite a bit longer.
And Jade- well where to start, the last 3 nights she has been terrible, not sleeping, and not sleeping through the day much either, DP tried to deal with her last night but she didnt want him, so i ended up with her. She is very happy though :fingerscrossed: . She hasnt rolled again, so will see when she does that again..
There are way too many personals to attempt, so when feeling a little better will come back and attempt tp catch up on them..
good morning everyone, and what a gorgeous morning it s here in Melbourbe:sunshine:...just glorious, makes me wanna sing....but I better not or I will ruin everybody elses morning with my "very pretty" singing (I even had my DD1 tell me not to sing cause it scares peopple...:o)
thth-:hugs:...hope the DR will help, and I really hope you'll feel better soon.....if you need anything, someone to chat...u know where I am.
Yvonne- same goes for you girl...:hugs:, hope you'll start feeling better. Yeay for Graces graduation....must be very proud.
T2+1..yep it's that time of year...busy,busy,busy...hope you can get some down time to put your feet up.
Tahnee-all I can say...I just bribed, and bribed and bribed......hmmmm.....not sure it really worked, at that age, I gave up, and as I was single, there was absolutely no issue for me....dd1 slept in my bed/or I slept in hers.
Tara- E's exzema sounds scarey, glad that you got on top of it.Hope it all gets better.
Everyone else... hope you're having a wonderfuld day. We are going christmass shopping for Bianca's presents with DH today....yaey, hope to get the walker without the wheels play thingie for Bianca...can't wait.
hi ladies, I'm posting very late at night again.....been so busy today.
thth - :hugs: hope that things improve with dp. Hope dr appointment goes ok, and it must be hard with your nana still being in hospital.
ellie - was a lovely morning - I did sing!!! However, it was at the music group that we go to!!!
terrr2 - hope all the birthday things for Baliey go well!
A big hello to everyone else!!!!!!
Well tomorrow I'm going to be even busier. DD1 has a half day at school (in prepartion for prep next year), ds has an appointment with the speech pathologist, have a christmas party to go to, and then a farewell party. Plus in between all that have to make a heap of mini plum puddings for the music groups Christmas party which is on Saturday morning.
Most probable I wont get out here tomorrow unless it's at a time like tonigth and last night.
Anyway, must go, want to have a shower before bed as I went on a 1 hour walk this evening and was walking quite briskly - so feel a bit sweaty! Then better get off to bed so I have the energy for tomorrow.
Oh, I also got a fair bit of housework done today - that makes me feel like I've accomplished something and that I don't live in a pig-sty!

hi everyone, how are we all doing? i just wnted to report kailee rolled over three times yesterday!!!! she was 3 months and 1 week so i am very proud!
i hope everyone else is doing well!
Hi everyone :)
US - Nanna is finally home from hospital, but still not well, now has pnemonia (sp) so hopefully she stays out of hospital, but at least now is she alot closer and easier to get over and see her.
Jade had her needle's to day and OMG she screamed the doc's surgery down for half an hour, had a reaction to the bandaid but so far no temp :fingerscrossed: but will see what the arvo brings us. She still hasnt rolled again. I went shopping for her today, and bought her a high chair and a bumbo chair thing, i tried it baby bunting's and she loved it..
Doc has put me back on Anti d's and we will see how that goes, things are a bit better at home for now so all is seeming good..
babyedgar- :yelclap: clever Kailee. I was at mum's group yesterday and the babies there are 6-9 month's and learning all new things, i had a ball watching them.. I cant wait for Jade to get to that age, all though they are getting there very quickly...
Yvonne- try not to stress on the housework, you have got your hands full, next year when your daughter starts school things will be easier again...
ellie- Hope your Christmas shopping went well, I have done Jade's but keep buying more things  and will wait till the last minute to do the big snoop's shopping..
Well I have run out of time Jade has just woken up, i hope everyone has a great day...

Michelle- Piper rolls from both sides on to ther back. Sometimes if she stays in her elbows she can flip bacl onto her back from her belly but not often. Mind you she is a July baby, 19 weeks so is alot older than some of the August bubs.
Regarding sleeping. From about 6 weeks Pip went to bed around 9pm and woke without a night feed at 6am. I treated her the same as DD1. But DD1 woke day & night every 3hrs for a feed. The only difference is that Piper is FF whilst DD1 was fully BF. With saying that Pip has changed and for the past week has woken once a night for a full feed. It only takes 10-15minutes to feed and re-settle so its not to bad.
Im also not sure if Im going to go on Zoloft. Since the app I have felt so much better. Im not sure if it is because he told me its hormonal and it will go away in time. I have to go back and see him on the 23rd so if I havent started by then I will discuss it with him.
Piper had her 4month immunisations yesterday. So at 19 weeks she is 63.5cm long, 41.1 head circ & 6.39kg!!!! She has dropped from the 75% range to the 50% range. I put that down to her being a chubba from the gestational diabetes.
She screamed a bit but was pretty easy to settle till we got home. I ended up having to give her panadol after uncontrolable screaming. Worked a treat and ended up having a great afternoon.
Can anyone tell me how much money they spend on each of their kids for Xmas? Do you have a dollar value for each or number of gifts rule that you use. Or do you just buy what you like but make sure each kid has the same amount?:xmastree:

Hi there everyone, :)
Wow I have had a busy week this week. Grace's graduation went really well and they did chrissy songs and gave us parents a scrapbook with their work for the year in it.
cheezelz - we agreed on about $150 per child but ended up spending a lot less on Sean than the girls as he doesn't really need too much.
thth - I hope that the medication helps you a bit. I am sorry to hear you are feeling down and I hope that things pick up for you :hugs:
okay that was slack on the personals but my brain is very tired at the moment.
We are off to get santa photos tomorrow morning so that should be fun. Also want to finish any presents that need buying but we shall see how we go and depending on kids.
have a good weekend everyone!!

 all,
Hope mums and bubs are all well! Things are good here....not much to report. Zaydn has started having 2-3 feeds per night again (has been having only the one lately) but I figure it is due to the 4 month growing spurt.
Paula: Have fun shopping tomorrow and seeing Santa. I also need to finish present shopping and do the Santa thing :xmas:
Lisa: We decided to spend $150 on Zay - but only ended up spending $115.
Thth: Glad your nanna is out of hospital. I hope she starts getting better really soon.
Ashley: What a clever little bub!
Yvonne: You are sounding a lot happier and back to your busy self :hugs:
Ellie: How did the shopping go?
Catherine: happybirthday to Bailey for Saturday! Would love to see photos of the cakes you make!
Sorry gotta stop there, Zaydn has woken up.

Hi Girls,
Not much news on my front, just popping in to say hi!
Ashley - Congrats on Kailee rolling, that is sooo good. Chloe is still rolling occasionally onto her side but that's about it. She exercised her lungs pretty good earlier though when my 19 year old sister was visiting , I think I've put her off of having kids for a while!
Thth - Good to hear your nanna's home, really hope her health improves :hugs:. My nanna had a burst appendix last year (she's 80) and it took a good 6-8months of healing (she had to wear a drain bag to collect the waste for weeks afterward), it was really scary as she was really ill and in hospital for weeks & she was talking like this was it for her, thankfully she seems a lot better now and is even walking down to the shops.
Lisa - So between 6am and 9pm how many sleeps would Piper get? Awesome she is rolling lots now, and she sounds like she is growing really well 6.39kg is excellent. She's a lot longer than Chloe, she was measured last week to be only 53cm (head 35cm circ).
Regarding kids I only have Chloe so we just bought her clothes (around $100 worth all up), plus we got her Cot & Cot bedding. Though when she's older I think we'd spend around $150.
Paula - Good luck with Santa photos tomorrow.
Alina - Bugger about the Phils & Ted rusting, do they cover things like this under warranty?
Ellie - I was over in the August 09 mummies 2 be thread being a sticky beak (and reminising about our time not so long ago) and saw your post on behalf of us, was so sweet to read and gave me :goodvibes:.
Awww I want another bub now (predicts DH will run out the door if he reads this though)
Better go think about doing something for tea!

She is awake for 2 hours then asleep for 45min-1hr. So about 4 naps per day. In the evening she is awake longer than the 2hrs. This is how the last week has kinda been:
7am- wake & feed
9am ish- nap
10am- wake & feed
12pm ish- nap
1pm- wake & feed
3pm ish - nap
4pm- wake & feed
6pm ish- nap
6.30pm- wake feed
8pm- feed again
9pm ish- bed for night
She is never awake for longer than 2.5hrs before a nap.
Regarding Xmas pressies my only concern is that we have set an amount for each child but I got most of Pipers on special or half price so it looks like she has heaps more than Brie. Now I feel like I should buy more to make up the numbers. She will play and probably open all of Pipers anyway so she will think that they are hers anyway Im guessing. Oh & I know Piper wont yet be 6months which most good toys start at but I have her a heap that she can grow into. There is nothing worse than having to buy toys when you dont have the $$ for no reason but because kids need them. Id rather buy her the toys for Xmas and she can grow into them IYKWIM?
hi girls....well had a really busy day, so I will be qyuick, as I want to catch up on some sleep...more busy days ahead.
Had a play group this mornig, bubhub meet avo and went to Ikea kids x-mas party in the evening...so I left house at 8am this morning, and didn't get back till 9.30pm.....what a marathon, but very enjoyable.
Anyways, our shopping went well, got everything we wanted, so Bianca has a really nice play centre thingie...still don't know what to call it.....very cute.
Ok hope everyone is well, I will catch up tomorrow if I get a chance.
Night,night
hi ladies,
wow, it's starting to get to that very part of the year now. yesterday we had 2 parties to go to, this morning another christmas party.
Busy, busy.
the rest of the weekend isn't too busy, but next weekend, well I'll need to rest up for it now.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx these x's are from ds sitting on my knee!!!! (it's his favourite letter to press on the keyboard)
Today I had 2 people say they'd nticed i lost weight - that always makes me feel good!!! Would still like to lose more, but it's nice that people are noticing now (I've lost over 10 kg in the last 2 months)
Well, must go. ds is asking for a colouring page to be printed form the computr (they get a colouring page if they stay in their own beds all night!).
Chat later - I hope you are all having a great weekend.
Oh, also I cleaned up my house a fair bit yesterday and the day before, so I'm feeling so much better about it now - just need to keep it tidy:fingerscrossed:
Hi everyone ...
US- Jade has done very well after her needle's , just some irritability and needing her mum, she has slept it off and has been fantastic today, no panadol needed at all..Been busy getting everything ready for DS's high school orientation day, and his primary school graduation around the usual BUSY Christmas stuff, just so glad we are not having it here this year :smiliedance:..
Yvonne- Congrats on the weight lose so far, and it does feel great when the house work gets done. I have to get into my housework but been busy running the older kids around for basketball..
Ellie- I have still got so much Christmas shopping to do, but i avoid the shops like the plague, i know i am gonna be so busy those last fews days :hair:
Cheelez-
I am gonna have to get to this, Jade is having a hissy fit, she keeps dropping her teething ring, gonna have to go help her .. Will finish off personal's when i get back to comp ..

I've just managed to fix my computer after having the "blue screen of death" so have just caught up on everyone, so HI!!!!
No time for personals, G's just woken and C's bugging me for food!!!
I will say though that Piper is sounding a lot like G at the moment Lisa. She's definitely a cat napper during the day, but still sleeping beautifully at night!!
Anyway better run

Hi lovely mommies....
Well I am really not sure why (and I know it shlouldn't) but I amreally upset because my pram broke:crying::banghead::hair:....a part on the brake snapped...so basically the brake isn't braking now:hissy:....so I am even too scared to use it untill I can go to the shop and try and negotiate with them...as on top of it...I can't find the receipt!!!! :doh:But I rang them, and they said that they will take my credit card statement as a proof of purchase...so hopefully they will fix my pram... I realloy don't know why it upset me so much, but it did. Not happy Jan!!!!
So this is it from me for the time being, I am going to get a chocolate fix, I have been stressing all avo about finding the receipt.....so I have to have some TLC....poor DD1 and Bianca....they coped me being stess head today....hope they won't be scared for life from that....:dizzy:
Ellie- it seems like we've swapped days today! You are usually the really happy one and me down in the dumps!
But I've had the best day in ages. I spent heaps of time with the kids, got lots of things done today - very productive and also I was calm and really patient with the kids :yelclap:.
I've been using the tips that a few people have given me. I try and do one housework job per day - so that I don't have to do a whole heap in one day.
I'm also now getting the kids to pack up all their toys and tidy their bedrooms before dinner, I then put on a Christmas dvd while I get dinner organised (they aren't allowed to watch dvd until they've cleaned up). I then have peace and quiet while cooking dinner.
I also chopped up all the vegies for dinner while Chloe had her afternoon sleep - then all I had to do was cook while she was awake, rather than prepare it too.
Hopefully I can stay being this organised and then I will be much happier. I feel bad when I don't spend enough time with the kids. So now, while Chloe is awake I spend time with the other 2 kids as well (before I would spend most of the time with Chloe while they played) and then when she goes down for a sleep they are usually happy to play together and I can get some things done then. I get to spend lots of time with the kids and also get things done - perfect!
Well, I'm going to finish off just the last few Christmas cards and thankyou notes (from when Chloe was born) and then I will be very pleased!
hope youa re all having a lovely weekend
Hi girls

Morning ladies,
We had a lovely day at mums yesterday. It was such a hot day, we spent most of the day in the pool. Isabelle even went for her first swim and she loved it.
moly - Welcome!! I hope you are having a great weekend
Lyglc - Sounds like you are very organised, it definitely makes it easier when you have a routine. I also prepare dinner during the day when Isabelle is asleep so then i just have to cook it at dinnertime
ellie13 - I hope you are feeling better today and you had some luck finding the receipt.
I hope everyone else is well and you are all having a great weekend:thumbsup:

Good Morning Girls!
Well my lovely Chloe decided to wake up about 5:30am today which is later than she has been (4-4:30am all week doh), I had a massive sleep last night again (thanks DH) so I was pretty much awake from around 4am anyhow (typical hey).
She is being VERY vocal this morning, sounds like she is about to cry but no she's chatting to her toy pony and smiles at me everytime I check on her.
Hmm starting to think about doing xmas shopping this week, still haven't started.
Lisa - That routine sounds really good, will need to try this. What time do you usually give Piper a bath? I think I should start bathing Chloe at night time I usually do hers in the morning as she can get a bit smelly from her chuckyness throughout the prior day/night but thinking I may need to change this (makes sense for when she's older).
Sorry about 20 questions, its just your routine is kinda similar to what we are doing now (but we put her to bed too early which results in extra feed at night and an early morning wake up).
Yvonne - Glad to hear you are feeling better and having a fun weekend. You sound super organised, I might need to try the 'one thing' a day tip too as I hate the days when I feel all I do is tidying/cleaning and a slave to Chloe (well the last one is a given but you know what I mean) :p.
Thth - Sounds like you're having a busy week too, glad Jade has reacted well to the needles, Chloe gets hers done in a weeks time.
Michele - You're so lucky Georgia still sleeps through, bummer about the BSOD (I work in IT so these can be a real pain in the butt).
Ellie - Sorry to hear about your pram, what type do you own? That's really bad about the brake, I rely on this alot on my own so I can imagine how you'd be worried about using this. Good they can cover it under warranty without the receipt. Hope you feel less stressed today. :hugs:
Moly - Welcome to our little group!
Tahnee - Your day sounded nice, really sweet that Isabelle had her first swim! We aren't big swimmer's here but I'll need to make an effort for Chloe so she can experience this.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend girls! :flowerz:
Michelle
Hi everyone..
Well i think we are back on track with Jade, got our 1st sleep through in a week last night :smiliedance:, and has already had 1 sleep today, and is having another one now. :fingerscrossed: that she keeps it up again.. I am missing my sleep , got so used to having it..
Misheycat- Chloe sounds a bit like Jade there, Jade doesnt stop chattering, she gets quite serious in it, also like she is going to cry but nope, she is just talking and trying to eat her giraffe
Moly- Hi and welcome...
Cheezelz- I wish i could get Jade down for sleeps like that through the day, at the moment she is finally having a couple of good one's :yelclap:, those 15 minute power naps were driving me insane.
Yvonne- It is good to hear you are feeling better, i try and do the 1 houseold cleaning chore a day, if i get more done its a bonus..
Ellie- I hope it all works out the pram, i dont blame you for being so annoyed, i would be too..
Re- Amount for christmas shopping: My older two, i spend $300 or so on, this year it will be a little more, but Jade this year i have only spent $85 on , and it will be awhile before i spend the same amount on all the kids, I work it that way because Jade needs alot more things through out the year, so it will always work itself out..
Well thats it for me, Jade is still sleeping :yelclap:, so i gonna try and get a few things done, Ds is still at his sleepover and i have to take DD1 to the movies later.. Bye all and take care

I know the routine sounds lovely but it doesnt always pan out that way. Piper woke twice last night although I think once was because she was cold.
Regarding baths (I know now I'll be called a bad mum) Piper only has 3 showers (yes showers) per week unless she gets really dirty/pooey then we will chuck both girls in a bath at the same time. SH has them after Dh gets homr from work between 4-5pm. I just dont find that she gets that smelly. Her clothes are changed daily, most days twice. Im guessing that in summer she would like/need to be bathed more frequently but at the moment she's surviving with just 3.
Im baking at the moment. DH came home on Friday and said that I needed to get in the kitchen and make some biscuits for him to take to work for the boys. Apparently the wife of one of his work mates made gingerbread men and DH wont have his wife beaten by any thing food related. He thinks Im the best cook. So Im baking stained glass window cookies. They are just basic biscuits with a shape cut out the middle. You then fill the middles with crushed boiled lollies. The lollies melt and give a glass look. I have made a mistake of getting the boiled lollies with the white stripes, now my windows are dirty : ( They will taste the same I suppose.

Hi everyone,
Took the kids to my mums for another swim in the pool today and they loved it. It's just too hot to sit around the house at the moment. Usually I have to nurse Isabelle to sleep in the sling and once she's asleep that's where she stays but the last two days she has been my angel. I have only had to use the sling twice. Once she falls asleep in my arms, I lay her down and she sleeps for about 30mins(which is better than sleeping in my arms). I hope this isn't just a temporary thing because i'm enjoying having my arms free during the day lol.
cheezelz- You sound like an amazing cook and so creative. I'm a terrible cook, I wouldn't even know where to start:laughing:
thth - Good to hear Jade is sleeping better, it's nice when we finally get to sleep.
misheycat - I'm in the same boat as you, contemplating starting my xmas shopping too. Everytime I go buy nappies, it just seems too busy so i quickly get in and out lol.

First of all, mmmmmm pavlova:D
Sleeping: I have been falling asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow these days. I think thats because my 2 year old definitely gives me a work out during the day.
Smelly poos: Yep:yes: Isabelle has the worst, she only poos every few days but she compensates with the rotten egg farts:barf:
...thank you all for best wishes, will be going to the shop tomorrow, but I think I will try and get my money back, cause if the parm broke after just 4 months of use...I don't see it lasting me for years, like I intended it to. But I am feeling better today...it was ratther silly to feel depressed cause of a silly pram....I am lucky I have healthy gorgeous kids:cloud9::valentine:, roof over my head and food to eat...so can not complain...shouLdn't get upset over such silly things.
Anyways...huge hello to you all, and welcome to molly, hope you will enjoy this group as much as I have.....all the ladies here are exceptionally lovely and supportive.
OH----I have never ever suffered from hay fever in my life.....but I have hay fever...is it possible that pregnancy has changed my immune system????
Anyways, sorry for being so me, me, me today...DH is watching Hogan Show and wants me to watch it with him, so I am typing while watching.
It is funny though.
Ok great night to ya all.....sweet dreams and sleepy bubbies
Oh I almost for got.....BIANCA HAS HAD RICE CEREAL TODAY.....AND ATE IT....AND LOVED IT....AND ATE IT....AND SHE WAS SO CUTE:yelclap:...AND SHE IS GROWING UP ON ME:crying:
hi ladies, I've had another really good day! YAY! Been feeling my normal self the last couple of days so that's so nice. My house is relatively tidy, as I'm now getting it all tidied up before dinner and then there's hardly anything to have to do after dinner.
So tonight i got out for a 1 hour 40 min walk - very nice!
been busy today making Christmas shortbreads (shapes of christmas trees, bells, stars etc..) and then decorating them with the kids. They look great so I'm really pleased as they are for the morning tea tomorrow after dd1's kinder graduation.
molly - welcome, great to have you join us!
Ellie - yay for Bianca eating - it's great that she's taken to it so well. hope you can get everything sorted as far as a new pram.
tahnee/alina - chloe can join the others for the very smelly odours coming out of her! She's a shocker - but then again she often doesn't poo for over a week,
cheezelz - your biscuits sound great - I've seen them in a christmas recipe book I've got and they look really good. Is the lolly bit ok for kids to eat (as I've always wondered if for small children if the lolly bit would be too hard).
Anyway, a big hello to everyone else I've missed, Chloe is sounding like she would like a feed so better get going.
Morning everyone..
Just a quick update Jade is rolling, 16 weeks and 3 days :yelclap: from her tummy to her back and throwing tantrums cause she cant quite get back over .... I am a proud mummy this am,:smiliedance::bee::cloud9:.anyway i better run, i am already gonna be late...

Good Morning Girls! :flowerz:
Well this morning Chloe woke at 6am instead of 4am which was a nice change! Will try and implement a new routine today (thanks heaps Lisa for your advice) and see how this goes.
Sitting Up - Are other girls noticing that their bubs are wanting to situp more and get grumpy laying down? Chloe is getting more and more frustrated about laying down now, yesterday I had her sitting up on my lap or on her blanket (with me supporting her of course) on and off throughout the day, but whenever I laid her down she would get annoyed and try to sit herself up. I'd like to get a bebe pod, but not sure how much use she'll get from this (plus their kinda expensive for us right now) - how long can bub's use these?
Lisa - Don't worry about the baths (you are NOT a bad mum), for the first month or so I was doing very similar bathing Chloe every 2-3 days, I was told daily baths weren't necessary. I only started bathing her daily as she has become a real chucker (and gets real smelly, she goes through 2-3 bibs a day, sometimes a few clothes changes as well) and I wanted to get her used to them (she used to scream whenever I bathed her, now she loves them, only cries now when I dress her, the little nudist - if I play and distract her during this I usually can keep the grumpiness to a minimum).
Tahnee - Good luck with your xmas shopping. I haven't even been out to buy nappies (I order mine online now). I really need to get started this week, have been so slack! Maybe tomorrow :p...
Alina - Sorry to say but when I get to go to sleep, I sleep well as I'm usually exhausted from DD's shenanigans that day. Chloe is a farter too, not very 'lady-like' :D.
Ellie - Sorry to hear about the hayfever, I can sympathise I experience this EVERY morning since Chloe was born, its definitely annoying.
Yay for Bianca trying rice cereal, I'm going to give this to Chloe in 3 days (she'll be 4-months old on the dot) and hopefully she likes this too.
Yvonne - Well done with the christmas baking and exercise, you sound like your doing great!
Thth - Well done with Jade rolling, that's so good! :yelclap:
Hi to anyone else I may have missed .

hey girls
I have decided to call this day.... go check out if your pram is doggy day! especially if u have a phil and ted! I just spoke to my retailer and they dont sell p and t anymore (I wonder why) and he also informed me that alot of people had returned them with rust
I am waiting for a call to see whats gunna happen.... I want my money back not a swap if they are all rust buckets
glad to hear my little stink bomb is normal... mum was over on the weekend and said that none of her kids ever farted so much and we where all on formula after 3ish weeks, with me she thought she had breast cancer which turned out to be mastitis... we are sooooooooo beter informed these days... but I always thought formula babies smelt more than breast fed babies.... Im feel soooooooooo ripped off:laughing:
mishey... yeah for your weight loss thats amazing
thth.... yeah for jade rolling :smiliedance:
tahnee... I would offer u some pavalova but I ate it al l:(
yvonne.... glad your good days are beating your yucky days
cya latter
good morning.....so i thought i will catch up on some personals.....but bianca just woke up...so just will wish you all a really nice day
hello girls
i dont get on the computer on the weekends so i love mondays because there is so much to read. but with so much going on im not even going to attempt personals...sorry.
lucy has been all over the show lately  because she is so happy most the time its really easy to miss her tired signs and omg if i do look out  its so hard to get her to sleep...she screams and thrashes which is really hard because then she comes unwrapped which means she wont sleep because she wont sleep unwrapped :hair: once she is asleep she sleeps well has slept through a few times but mostly she only wakes once which is fine.
my MIL rang the other day and asked what nappies, formula etc to buy(for our holiday to tassie) so that we only have to pack clothes...which is fantastic because i was really starting to panic about all the stuff to take...she is even buying a microwave steriliser and cloth nappies(i only use them as spew rags) how good is she!
i am leaving my chrissy shopping till the last minute, i have bought for my neices and nephews over here but we will buy for lucy and nathan when we get to tassie...nathan is easy he is just getting games for his nintendo ds and we are getting lucy a bangle:xmastree:
sorry i have really rambled on :ecomcity: hey this might sound a little crazy but me and dh have been talkin about #3
i hope everyone is having a great day

Hello everyone,
Hope you all had a lovely weekend. On Saturday night we went out to dinner to an African restaurant for my dad's birthday (he is South African) - I tried camel, crocodile, buffalo and ostrich! Suprisingly they were all quite nice! I had a horrible scare on Sunday morning...Zaydn rolled off our bed while my back was turned :gloomy: He rolled over then his heavy leg brace tipped him off onto the floor. Luckily our bed is less than a metre tall but he still got a nasty fright. I rang Healthdirect and they were great and luckily my sister was in the area (she is a nurse) and she came and did neurological observations on him and checked him over. He was fine after a big cry for about five minutes. I felt (and still do) feel awful about it, I am so glad he is okay. I was ready to race to the emergency department but both my sister and the health direct nurse said he would be fine. He was back to his normal smiling happy self within half an hour - thank goodness. So girls, please always be watching your little ones especially now that they are starting to roll, I would hate for you to experience an event such as this.
On a brighter note, Zaydn is on the move  I noticed on Friday when he had 'boots free' time and I put him on his tummy. He starts moving his legs one at a time and slides along on his tummy. He has done it 4 times now and goes for about a metre and then gets annoyed because he doesn't know what to do with his upper body so his arms get stuck underneath him. Any other bubs doing this? I was quite suprised but according to my mum I started doing the same thing at around the same age and was crawling by 6 months. Scary hey!
Tasha: Your MIL sounds wonderful! If I miss Zaydn's tired signs he becomes so annoyed and fights sleep really bad. But I have worked out that during the day he can only go 1.5 hours before getting tired (bit longer in the late afternoon) so I watch the clock as well as him. DH and I started talking about #2 in October, we have even choosen names! We were going to wait until Z was 2 years old before we tried to fall pregnant but now we are thinking maybe when he is 1.5 years old.
Alina: So hope your pram gets sorted out! We had a similar issue with our (very expensive) Boori cot. It was covered in scratches and so on - so we made them replace it. But with your pram, definelty get a refund. We have the steelcraft strider and have found it to be a great pram!
Michelle: Best of luck with the routine. We had a great routine going up unitl last week - then Zaydn went through his 4 month old growth spurt and everything changed! Definetly noticing bub wants to be sitting up, he doesn't like lying down at all. We got our bebe pod from ebay for $50 - maybe try that? I think they are useful until bub can sit up unsupported. However, we don't think Zaydn will fit in his much longer (his legs are getting very chubby)!
Thth: Yay for Jade - what a clever bubbba!
Yvonne: So glad everything is back on track with you. What a lovely walk - did you take Chloe or just go on your own?
Ellie: Maybe your immune system is not up to it's usual standard because you are breastfeedling and Bianca is getting quite a lot of your nutrients and antibodies? Maybe, I don't know? Maybe you could try a breastfeeding multivitamin (like Blackmores) - couldn't hurt I guess?
Tahnee: Swimming in the pool with the kids sounds like heaps of fun. I can't wait til Zaydn starts swimming lessons in Feb. Does Isabelle go in floatie thing or do you just hold her?
Lisa: Your cookies sound lovely! I bet DH and his mates loved them.
Moly:  My son was born on the same day as your daughter!
Sorry for the :ecomcity:
Hope all mums and bubs enjoy their day!
Love Claire x
good afternoon everyone.....what a beautiful day:sunshine: here in Melbourne...it turned out to be lovely.
Well, went back to the shop and they will fix the brake on my pram (have to wait to get a new brake from manufacturer....) so I am happy eith that....sort of wnted to get a credit and get a different pram....but they wouldn't have a bar of it...so i am happy with this result.
:hissy: I scratched Biancas foot...by accident...:crying: poor little bubba, she was in her play thing, and picked her up, and didn't realise her legs were outstreched, so the foo caught on the plastic and scratched it.... I am still apologising to her, poor girl....
Now she is asleep in my lap:cloud9: and my heart is melting.....
Michelle-Bianca does the same, looks like she wants to sit up...so cute...well done on your routine.
Claire-so happy that Zayden is ok, so scary when something like that happens, and it happens so fast, and ususally right under our noses.
Tash-we are talking about no 3 too..crazy i know....I was actually thinking the other day...hmmm wouldn't mind starting TTc now....oh hhang on haven't got my periods yet...lol...but we have to wait, as i had a c-sec so when she is 1 maybe???we will see.
Jasmine-great to hear from you, glad things are going well.
Alina- hope your pram gets sorted out for you....I know what you are saying...I am pi....ed off with mine too, mine only consolation, I only spend $150 on it, so at the worse, I will get another one...:hugs: for you.
Thth-well done for Jade..what a smart cookie
Yvonne- wow, that sounds like agreat walk....hope you are still feelig better, maybe once things go quiet after x-mas, you might feel even better still.
Anyways, HUGE HELLO TO EVERYONE ELSE....hope you all have a great day...will trt and catch up later.
just a question, those BF... have you got AF yet???

I had a great day today. My sisters playgroup took had a morning tea at the kids play centre 'lollipops' and she invited me and the kids to come along. It was so nice not to have to worry what DS was getting into and he had a ball. He wasn't the loudest one there either:laughing:
babynumberone - I have a floatie ring for Isabelle but so far I have just been holding her in my arms because I don't think she would sit up too well in the ring, she would probably dunk her face in the water
misheycat - I find that when Isabelle is elevated on a pillow, she tries to pull herself forward. When she's on her back, she will roll but she doesn't last long before she gets sick of the floor. I think she wants a 360 view lol. I'm going to get her a walker for xmas because she seemed to like my sisters one, I will just stuff a blanket down the front so she is supported.
hey everyone!
Ellie - glad your pram is getting fixed, how long will you be without it for? (hopefully not long)
I haven't got AF back yet. I think for my other 2 it was 8 months and 6.5 months - they were both being breastfed still.
tahnee - glad your had a lovely morning
Claire - I know of many parents who have had accidents with their little children. Me - when dd1 was only a few months old a port-a-cot got dropped on her:no:. I was changing her nappy too close to where dh was putting the cot away. It accidently slipped out of his hands, bumped me on the head first and then hit her. I felt terrible for ages afterwards, but she was fine (probably just had a headache for a little while). Also I know of someone shutting a car door on their babies foot - they wondered why the door wouldn't shut properly so pushed harder only to have the baby in tears....Also, another friend was ironing with her baby in a babybjorn and got the babies leg on the iron.....I guess we can never prevent everything, just try to do our best.
Jasmine - I am wondering if I was borderline for PND - for a while there i wasn't really coping at all, and I also wasn't being able to get to sleep at night. Sometimes I would be awake for 3 hours or so once going to bed. I was also (and still have a bit) really gruesome thoughts go through my head about Chloe, about her being hurt (not by me). Some days I've felt like i was falling apart. But now since making some changes in how I do things has made a huge difference for me coping. Hoepfully that will continue.... I haven't had a bad day for about 5 days....
By the way, of course we wouldn't forget you:)
tasha - you sound like you have a great MIL - beign very considerate of your needs - even asking what brands you use:thumbsup:. I hope that your holiday is even better than you think. I can understand it will be a bit hard being away from your family though. We see both families on Christmas day and I wouldn't want it any other way.
Alina - hope that you so out the pram issues soon too. I thought that P and T's were a really good brand.
thth - Yay for Jade.
well as for me - had a very busy morning, dropped ds at childcare, then dd1 at kinder, went to the pool to enrol her for next year ( had to wait there for ages). Had to be back at kinder graduation by 10:30 so ended up feeding Chloe in the pools carpark and dh had to come seperately to the graduation. Had a lovely time there. The kids sang about 5 or 6 songs. They then were presented with a medal and certificate from the schools principle (she's at the school's kinder). then they were given a pack of things. It included a lovely handprint done in plaster and then painted gold; a folder with all about her kinder year including photo's, stories about things she did, special events etc...so lovely; and the school year book which included kinder in it. I was so pleased for her. My dd1 is no longer a kinder kid:):( - a mixture of emotions, but more happy than sad.
Well, better go, I hope you are all having a lovely day.

ellie... yeah for getting your pram fixed 2
Bambi and Yvonne.... its great to hear from u... my mum had PND I do have some not so happy days, I think I said before that I tend to think to much and thats probable why I cant sleep... Im going to keep an eye on myself like yvonne, I also have terrible thoughts about things happening to aiden, I kinda think this reflects on my old work in a kids ED. I think sometimes when u cant sleep u get frustrated and it makes it even harder to sleep:hair:
AF... still not hear thank god.... but I think iam ovulating... I have been getting that clr d/c and a weird pain kinda every month I dont think I could handle breast feeding nipple pads and period pain etc blur
claire... glad to hear your nurse friend was able to do neuro obs... u would have had the same at hospy and sent home after 4 hrs... probable with gastro. they move so quick.

I got AF back a month after my initial bleed stopped, i did with my older 2 boys as well so was expecting it. Oh well i envy the girls who don't have your AF yet.
Yay to those who got prams fixed or replaced.
Well i have had a busy few days, my christmas tree cake for playgroup turned out better than i expected, my frog cake turned out great too for family for Bailey's birthday on Saturday. I have posted pics of cakes etc on facebook for those in my friends list. I will post some pics here when i get around too it to. Daycare christmas party was great too but so so so hot. Oh well these things happen
Was going to spend today doing housework but had a friend here with kids this morning and another one this afternoon so i never got housework done, oh well always tomorrow.
Talon rolls over and gets stuck and can't work out how to get back, he stil can't work out how to get his arms out from underneath him but you can see him trying. Poor guy the weather has been so unbareable so Talon has been whingier than usual, i don't want to turn our air con on too much cause i can just imagine our next bill already.
Anyway better go accomplish some housework before getting dinner started, have a great afternoon girls.

Yvonne- so good that Graces graduation went so well:yelclap: congratulations to her and to you and DH....well done...you have a school kid now!!!!!
Alina-:smiliedance:about your pram....maybe I should of pushed harder..but snapped brake....they already started to say that I must be using it wrong..the brake:hair:...so i am happy with just getting the brake fixed.....I love my pram, but was very disapointed with the brake breakage...lol.
moly-you're good having a little one and working night shifts...well done, don't know that I would cope to be honest.
T2+1- well done on those cakes....you are very good..you should of seen my attempt at baking the other day...we had to make cupcakles for DD1's school fundraser...lets just say, they were a disastter, but I had nothing else to send, so I had to, but they were pretty baaaaaaaad. Oh well, at least DD1 baught some.
Tahnee- sounds like you had a nice day...well done.
Everyone else...huge HI
Bad thoughts.....well am I glad I am not the only one..... I am so paranoid it's not funny.... I have to check on Bianca all the time when she is sleeping..I tuck her in and re-tuck her into her cot, and recheck...etc.., and all the bad things that can happen keep running through my head....sometimes I feel like I am going completely insanne. I am very happy ATM, so happy in fact that my heart is bursting with love for my girls...but this anxiety is draining me......could that be PND????
And DD1 had a massive tanty this avo....it was huge:hissy::devil:the poor thing is so tired from school, glad it's the end of the year and she will get a break...but what a wopper this avo......
Anyway...hope everyone will get a good night sleep tonight and sweet dreams.

Hi girls.
RY is much better now, his cough has gone, his wheeze has gone and he dosnt sound liek an old steem train. Yay finally, it has been a long 5 weeks for the poor little man.
On another note. Who is think on another baby so soon. I only ask and after some discussion with DP, he has agreed on another baby, on the condition it is born before his 30th birthday which is in March 2010. Which means i have to fall pregant by June next year. Wow which mean 2 babies under 2, which wasnt part of my plans, i was hoping for a 3 year gap. Oh welllooks like i might have to get back on the baby making wagon much much sooner then what i thought.
well should finish cleaning then head to bed

Hi ladies,
I woke up this morning and when I opened my eyes, Isabelle was right there looking at me smiling. It was so gorgeous. Even when i'm sleeping she still smiles at me:cloud9:
Rydens Mummy - Good luck with your baby plans. No more babies for me. I had the 2 under 2 so that's enough for me lol.
ellie13 - I hope you had a good night sleep and there are no more tanty's today
moly -Hi, hope you are well today
Terrible2+1cutie - The weather is terrible here too and we dont have air con or ceiling fans. I end up taking the kids for a drive so they can be in the car air con lol.
lianas1stbub - Well done on your success with the pram, that is a great outcome!
Anyway, i better go. DS is calling for toast and I'm gonna try Isabelle with some rice cereal this morning. Have a nice day everyone.
hi girls
tahnee11-what a lovely way to wake up and good luck with the rice cereal, did Isabelle like it?
ellie13-don't be bummed about your cupcakes at least you made some :) wanna here how slack i am? i bought chrissy shortbreads from coles and iced them for my ds christmas party haha
moly-hope you had fun at water aerobics.
Terrible2+1cutie-poor youz with the heat its not too hot here yet which is good because we dont have aircon, it must be so frustrating for Talon with his rolling...i cant wait till lucy rolls but with her temper i think it will be interesting
lianas1stbub- well done on the new pram!! its amazing what a bit of persistance acheves (sp) sounds like your having a ball with all that dancing :smiliedance:
Lyglc- thats so cute about your dd1's graduation it makes them feel so special...i remember my ds's kindy graduation ,it seems like so long ago, next year he will be in year 4!!!
tahnee11- its nice to be in a room full of kids and realise yours isnt the loudest for once :) Lucy has a walker and we do the same with the blanket she loves it because she can see everything and i cant wait till she is tearing around the house in it...look out ankles!!
Rydens Mummy-after a very long chat last nite dh and i have decided that we are on the wagon:eek::eek: we were going to wait till mid next year but as i have pcos we dont want to chance that it could take awile to fall pregnant again because we want a small gap...knowing my luck we will fall straight away. Feels funny now we have made the desision and not just thinking about it anymore!
us- lucy was great last nite only waking once. on the weekend we found something funny out about her....she doesnt like swings!! my dad has one of them fisherprice swings under his patio and she was fine untill it moved...just the gentlest push and she went all stiff and bright red almost like she was trying to push herself out of the swing...it was very strange!
a big hello to everyone ive missed
tasha
good morning....
well dd1 woke up all cheary and happy....so i guess tanty is over:fingerscrossed:
tash- good luck with ttc again.....i hope it will work out for you just the way u plan.....how long did it take you to get preg with Lucy?
stacey-:smiliedance: for Ryden, glad that he is feeling better
Tahnee-:cloud9:for isabelle, they can be so cute, they know excactly at which heart strings to pull.....
nothing new here, trying to put Bianca to sleep on my lap she is a bit cranky atm......
saw my friend at school today (the one with premmie twins), she said they are still critical but alive so:fingerscrossed: for her, i can't imagine what she is going through.....
ellie13- we were trying for 18 months then i was diagnosed (sp) with pcos and after being on diabex(metformin) for 3 months we were pregnant...i am on diabex now but only on half the dose i was on when i feel pregnant with Lucy. i have a doctors appointment on monday so i will speak to him about it then.

hey girls
all I have to say is..... Thank god for aldi nappies.... if aiden was wearing huggies nappies our p and ted would prob refuse to take the pram back... it was de skust ing:barf:Im just glad its all out because we have a very busy weekend:yelclap:
ellie.... when I got my depression check at 6 weeks I think on of the questions was.. have u been exposed to any types of abuse... well I kinda have as I used to look after alot of abused children at work, and now that I have aiden it makes my heart break even more for them and even more protective of him... she also said my thoughts where normal due to what i had been exposed to. I feel like im over over cautious... gee when I hear people stir there tea I drop everything and make sure they are not drinking it with aiden in their lap... I do think I am an anxious person and that probably stops me from getting a good night sleep because i think about things to much... depression and anxiety are different I think but u can have both... my mum had depression and suffers from anxiety attacks.... gee I can blur blur blur:ecomcity:
about another baby... I think the only way im gunna let my hubby dtd with me is to have another baby... I feel so so sorry for him maybe he will be more lucky when aiden moves into his room
anyway... im still on:cloud9: after my win with the pram... its worth a call to fair trading if ur getting a bad deal.
hope everyone is having a beautiful day with their bubbas... isnt life amazing ( Ithink im having a :cloud9: X 1000000 thanks to an excellent night sleep)

Good Morning Girls!
Well Chloe woke me up at 6am today (which I didn't mind) but she slept through from 9pm to 6am woohoo! I basically did the same thing as usual which was feeding her every 3-4hrs during the day, lots of awake and playtime (which is normal), naps when she was showing tired signals, but this time I woke her at 8pm rather than leaving her to have her long sleep, bathed, fed, played then put her in bed with no problems. I just hope this wasn't a fluke, will try doing the same thing tonight.
Alina - Congrats on getting a better pram. I'm surprised you had so many probs with this as these are meant to be really good prams.
Catherine - Your cakes look so good (and yummy)! I'm worried about my cooking, when Chloe is old enough I will need to improve on this as I'm a dodgy cook :p.
Stacey - Glad Ryden is finally better. Awesome news about TTC again soon, I don't think DH and I will be having that conversation for a long time!
Tahnee - It's funny you mentioned the walker, my parents have already bought one for Chloe for xmas (I haven't seen it yet), so maybe this will be a good alternative to the Bebe Pod instead. That's so sweet about Isabelle smiling at her sleeping mummy. :goodvibes:.
Tasha - Good luck with TTC again! :fingerscrossed:
Ellie - Glad to hear your friends twins are hanging in there!
Big Hi  to anyone that I may have missed!
Have a good day girls! :flowerz:
Michelle

ellie- i suffered PND after DS and also bad anxiety and panic attacks, did until he was about 4, went on lexapro and worked great, currently on nothing!
misheycat- yay for sleepin through! DD doesnt still n shes 4 months! fully breastfed tho, really want her sleeping through!!
tahnee- DD hates that rice cereal lol!

Hi there everyone,
I am probably not going to get all the personals I would like done but I will do as many as I can remember.
Mishey - Well done to Chloe for the sleep. Nice when they are good to mummy hey??? ALso well done to you on your weightloss so far, that is so great  :yelclap:. I am still being the queen of procrastination in that department.
liana - aiden sounds like sean in the poo department. He exploded the other day at a friends house. I was about to put him in his togs for a swim so was kind of glad that it came before that!!! Mind you it was absolute foulness :barf:. Good news on the pram too!! I hate getting ripped off too especially when there is a genuine problem and the shop is difficult about it all.
ellie - glad to hear about your friend's twinnies. Glad the tanty is over. We have constant tanties here with my two girls. Hannah's are because she cannot express herself really clearly yet and Grace's are just because she is 4 I think.
Rydensmum & Tasha - I hope your TTC the next bub goes well and to plan. We are definately not having anymore. 3 is enough but I am so glad that the age gap is quite small. Grace is is about 22mths older than Hannah and Hannah is about 27mths older than Sean. I have a big gap between myself and my sisters 5 & 8 years (i am the baby) and I would have loved to be a bit closer in age. My only regret is that I didn't have the kids when I was a bit younger (I am 35).
tahnee - very cute about waking up to a smile... Don't they just melt your heart. I wake every morning to Sean pretty much singing and talking, I love it.
moly - I hope you enjoyed your water aerobics. I would give anything to have some quiet time to do some exercise...
terrible2 - I am glad your cakes turned out well. I did a Froggy cake for Hannah's 2nd birthday this year too - I was really happy with it.
me - not much happening really, Sean is just the best little baby and is so happy and just fits in with our little family so well(I guess he has too). We went to a 2nd birthday party today for one of the little boy's in my mothers group so that was nice. Oh yeah and we were in the paper on the weekend (for those of you that read the SUnday Mail in QLD). That is us in the KRUDD spend spend spend article. Ironic thing is we don't even get the $1000 per child so we are a little bummed out about that.
ok enough of me rattling on talk to you all soon, have a great day!!!
:smiliedance::smiliedance:got my skype working and I chatted to my sisted in canada...I am so proud, cause I am so computer illiterate...took me few hours to figure out, but now I will be able to see them...my gorgeous sis and nieces:yelclap::hugs::valentine:
Anyway just though I will share.
Alina- thanks....yep I have had a trauma in a way, so maybe that is why.....but I feel ok, so will leave it, it's just annoying going up and down the stairs every 5 mins to see if she is breathing, but guess i will gvet good leg muscles from it.
Everyone else...huge hello, hope you get a giid night's sleep
Purpose Blessings

Hi girls, I'm back on line with broadband again so hopefully will be around a bit more. The dial up that i had would take about 5mins to load up just one page so I would get way too frustrated and give up. I can't believe how fast this is in comparison.
We are all moved into our new home now with only a few boxes still to unpack. The kids are settling back down and things are really looking up.'
Its weird that we left our old home 7 weeks ago and only now are getting settled again. It has been a big adventure and just a little bit stressful to say the least.I have really struggled emotionally as have all the other members of my little family. It has been very hard on every one. But I feel like the move was worth it though. I really like the lifestyle that we are able to have here.
Claire - ages ago you asked me what dh does. He's an engineering manager. We get moved around a fair bit with his work but hopefully will be in Karratha for several years now as ds starts kindy next year and I want stability for him.
As for AF, I still don't have mine either. I didn't get it back with my oldest two until I had completely finished BF, which was when they were about 11 months. I'm hoping not to get it back at all this time as I have the Implanon rod in my arm which will hopefully keep it away for the next 3 years or so.
TTC - Well done for those of you who have started. I had a 20 month gap between my first 2 and a 21 month gap between my second two and although it was hard, I am glad we did it this way. We didn't bother about contraception both these times and jsut let nature take it's course (I got pregnant the first time i ovulated oth times). We have decided that 3 blessings is it for us. I am a bit sad about the idea but am also loving that dtd is all about us again and not about making a baby.
PND - :hugs: to everyone who is feeling low or like they are depressed. I did the check at my last chn visit and scored terribly on it but after explaining what was going on in my life she said that it was probably very normal for me to have been feeling the way I was. I remember when I was pregnant I got a bit of depression which was like a heavy cloud decending over me for no apparent reason, which I was unable to do anything about (some of you might remember me talking about it). The chn told me to watch out for a similar feeling again now. Luckily for me I haven't been feeling like that. More just a lack of control and feeling frustrated and cranky (poor dh really copped it on too many occasions). FOr me I have just been stressed out while trying to take on and handle the challenges of life. :ecomcity: :ecomcity: sorry don't know why I'm going on about that.
Anyway I still have lots of housework to do before bed tonight, so I'd better get to it.
Looking forward to chatting with you all more regularly again
Marissa

Helloooo August mums. I haven't really posted in here since our 'Due in August' thread closed. Never seem to have time, but do read when I can so feel like i've been following all your progress at least.

I'm going to brave the shops with DH and DD on Friday. Tried going on my own the other day and bubba screamed the whole way - too noisy and crazy for her to sleep in her pram.

Good Afternoon Girls!
Chloe slept through again last night til 6:30am woohoo! :smiliedance:2 nights in a row is awesome, LISA THANK YOU, your routine hints have worked a treat!
Well I've finally done (and finished) my xmas shopping today, didn't have a whole heap to do thankfully so glad that's over. It was pretty busy today, I'd hate to think what late night shopping or the weekends are like!
Chloe was very cute in the shops, very vocal whenever I looked at her. Yesterday was classic, pretty much whenever she was awake throughout the day she would chatter away VERY loudly and constantly, it was funny whenever I tried talking to DH she'd talk louder and over the top of me. It was very cute but became a little annoying after a while.
Scratching - Chloe keeps scratching her face, she has a little scab on her nose and a big scratch on her forehead, I feel so bad but she did this when she got her hands out of her wrap the other night, during the day I'm constantly swatting her hands away from her eyes and forehead, anyone else experiencing this?
Bebepod - I was going to buy the BebePod Plus but my DH told me to wait until after xmas just in case someone in the family gives us something similar (which I doubt but I guess I have to wait now - stupid me for asking his opinion). Kinda annoyed as their $30 off online currently (for the watermelon colour).
Moly - Aside from rice cereal have you tried any other solids with your DD? Chloe is 4-mths old tomorrow so I'm going to try her with some rice cereal and a little pureed apple, hope she doesn't hate this. My mum told me she loves eating Farex so I can always give her the rest of the box if Chloe doesn't want it .
Paula - Thanks for the congrats on the weightloss, I think the rest of this month is a lost cause though as I'm already pigging out, have a work dinner next week, xmas then new years. You can always make a new years resolution to lose weight - seems easier.
Marissa - So glad you are settled in your new house and yay for broadband, look forward to chatting to you more!
Alina - Sorry you got AF, I got mine 2 months ago however I'm FF so its my fault anyways :p.
Kali - Good to hear from you and that you are doing well. Also good luck with shopping on friday, hopefully its not too busy for you!
Jasmine - Please don't hate me , these are the first proper nights she's slept through so I'm scared they're flukes. Hopefully Charlie settles for you soon.
Hi to anyone I've missed, hope you all have an awesome day!
Michelle
Rydens Mummy

HI girls, How ar we today,
Ive had a lovely day with Ryden. We had mothers group thismorning, and instead of meeting at one of our houses, we meet at the hospital with a one hour session with the physio. The babies layed on the mats and chatted away, while us mummies done a lite physio session. After that it was time for the babies work out, and the Physio lady tought us how to massage out babies, so once they were striped naked and smotheresd in olive oil (slippery little babies, do not lift them up), she tought us how to massage them, and boy did all 7 babies love this, the al layed back in relax mode, they all feel asleep. It was great.
On a different note. I need some ideas on how to get Ryden to sleep at night, all of a sudden he has gone from being an angel to a horroe. (only of his night time sleep) He carries on, u would think he was being murdered, once a pick him up he falls a sleep in my arms. And i dont want to make this a habbit. Ive tried patting him, rubbing him everything, he would just lay there and smile. Then if i leave him let him scream, then come back to give him a cudde then he goes to sleep. Any ideas wouldbe good.

Hi Again,
Just a quick one, I was over in our old August 2008 section (yes I was bored :o) and looked through some old threads. There are quite a few August mums that have vanished over time, I'd love to know what happened to them (some names: Kossie, Frazzled, Yumimumi, Icugal, hp-mum-to-be, Uni-mum-2-1, Shazbutt, Gailbaby1) and how their going with their bubs.
Chloe had an unsettled hour this afternoon, wouldn't settle and screaming the house down after waking mid-nap (almost like a night-terror), she must of been overtired! Anyhow I ended up getting her up and humored her for half hour, fed her again and now she's sleeping soundly (thank god).
Well that's all from me :).
Michelle.
Bianca was sitting unaided for a little while today:yelclap: what a clever girl......I let go of her and she just kept sitting up, and didn't fall for a little while, and than just sort of went forwards, and kept sitting there...for about half a minute or so.....:cloud9::bee:
sorry just thought I share....
Hope everyone will ahve a good
Hi everyone,
Just an update on us. Have started tablets for PND so hopefully they kick in soonish, things with DP are very rocky at the moment, i actually asked him to leave for a couple of nights, he is coming home tomorrow so we can talk and maybe work through a few things..
My Nanna is doing alot better, so things looking up there..
Jade had her 4 month check up today and is weighing in at 6.41 kilo and 64 cm's long, so doing ok. Her top eye teeth have dropped right down, hence the drama's we have been having, ( i feel really bad cause have only been putting bonjela on her bottom gum but now i know). she is sleeping flatout at the moment, cant stay awake for any longer then 1 hour, and is really grizzly and clingy, CHN says it is due to teeth and possible growth spurt. She hasnt rolled again yet, but has learnt to spit  so she is spending alot of time doing that..
Well i am exhausted and there are too many posts to try and catch up on, so no personals tonight, i hope everyone is well, have a good night..
it's very late so very brief personals.
thth - hope things get sorted out with dp :hugs:
jasmine - wow- what a post!
kali - nice to hear from you!
Ellie - clever Bianca
mishey - i had a look through old posts a couple of weeks ago, it actually made me feel sad so I stopped ( I was having a bad day though)
stacey - baby massage is so lovely - I should do this on Chloe.
Alina - you will have to be careful if you DTD now!!!
Marissa - great to hear from you.
A big hello to everyone else.
Me - well we had a big day. Got some christmas shopping done - but with 3 kids - not fun. I had ds run off on me twice in myer. I had to leave the pram with dd1 so that I could go and catch him - he's a fast little thing
dd1 and ds also had haircuts and we did the grocery shopping.
Was glad to get home....
Also got out for a nice walk this evening and got to look at some christmas lights.
Must go to bed, it's very late.
night night.

Just a quick one from me, I talked my DH into getting the Bebe Pod :yelclap:, just ordered it (it was cheaper) online, I'm so excited! For those who aren't sure what I'm talking about (though most of you lucky ladies seem to have one) this is it:
http://www.bambinipronto.com.au/product.aspx?id=591
Stacey - The baby massage sounds awesome, not sure about any sleep suggestions (Lisa helped me out) maybe you could massage him to sleep :).
Ellie - Bianca is so clever, sounds like she might be the first to situp on her own!
Thth - Good news about your nanna, sorry to hear things with your DP aren't going to well, hope you both sort things out soon :hugs:. Ouchies for Jade and her teething!
Yvonne - You are a very patient mummy to go xmas shopping with 3 little ones! I couldn't imagine being able to do this .
My bedtime (woah its almost midnight already)!
Ps. It's now morning, and oooohhh nooooo Chloe's sleeping through was a fluke the last two nights!! She woke at 3:30am :hissy: doh! Ah wells it was a quick half hr of changing & feeding then she slept through to 7:30am so wasn't so bad I guess.
morning girls
omg Lucy just :barf: all over me, her and the lounge!! and of course id just had a shower, there is nothing better that the smell of formula spew...not!!
misheycat-Lucy is getting a bumbo for christmas i cant wait till she gets it she is so ready for it the little sticky beak, Lucy does the same as Chloe, just when you think they are sleeping through they wake through the nite again...i have been keeping it to myself when she does now because everytime i tell anyone she wakes heaps.
Lyglc- sounds like you acheived alot and with 3 kids well done
thth-hope the meds kick in for you soon and thats great to hear your nanna is on the mend, i hope you have a good talk with your dp, me and my dh had a little break last year and it put everything into perspective. i think Lucys teeth are on the move her gums are very lumpy and she has been dribbling alot.
ellie13-Bianca sitting :yelclap: wow our babies are growing up too fast.
Rydens Mummy- im going through the same thing with Lucy so if you get some good advice please share, your physio session sounded fantastic.
BambinaCattiva-yay for your DP he sounds like a handy man to have around :) im having issues with my ds's grandmother atm the are a bit cheesed off we are going away for so long over christmas not that they have ever wanted him for christmas before(i would be devistated if they ever asked) and the other day she txt and asked if we could drop him off on the way home from the airport...they live about an hour from us...as if i want to organise that after being away from home for 3 weeks, oh the dramas of blended families.
im getting very excited about our holiday now...only 6 sleeps  i had to explain to my ds that santa knows he is on holiday and that excess bagage is expensive so he will be packing light but mabye there will be something under the tree when he gets home.
hope everyone is having a great day

hi ladies long time no speak lol!
it's been so long and i have been so busy. i went back to work on tusday and i am so tired! i am glad i am only working 3 days a week lol. kailee came with me the first day and the other two days a family friend has been looking after her so i can get my work done.
Christmas costs - i have spent way too much on kailee. we must have spent atleast $600- $800 on her but i must admit she is our only child so we can go a bit nuts with her. the problem is i keep buying stuff! my bad! lol
i remember someone asking about routine and sleeping. here is kailee's routine
- she wakes between 7 - 8 and has her bottle then troughout the day she cat naps ( only between 10-40 mins at a time) then at 8:20 she has baby rice cereal before going up stairs at 8:30 having her good night bottle and going to bed. and then we start it all over again the next morning.
congradulations girls with getting your prams fixed!
and to the people who are going TTC again soon i think you are both really brave! lol. me on the other hand me and my husband are going to wait for a few years before we try again. i'm on depo now and i plan to stay on that for two years before going on the pill for a year and then we will start trying for our next one. the way we see it is we are only young so we have plenty of time so we are just going to take it one step at a time.
to everyone else a huge hello!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!
i hope all is going well.

Hi Again,
I think this is the most I've posted in a long time, sorry for my blabber :o.
Aghhh Chloe scratched her face again! I am constantly cutting her fingernails back as much as I can (without hurting her it scares me) but she still manages to scratch her face, so frustrating!
Tasha - Oh no sorry to hear about the vomit explosion that Lucy had. Chloe did this yesterday I was in the middle of feeding her then with no warning she vomitted a huge explosion over herself, me and 2 cushions and the ground (the cushions thankfully saved the couch).
Alina - Not sure how long they can be in the Bebe Pod, I'm interested to know this as well. Hopefully I will get this sometime next week (its been ordered only).
Thth - Glad to hear you've had a chat with your DP, hope it all works out for the best.
Ashley - Kailee sounds like a really lucky girl this christmas!
Tried Chloe on some rice cereal this afternoon she didn't seem overly keen even with a little bit of apple added, though she liked the apple by itself.
Michelle

Hi everyone
just a quick one from me bad bad day today.
Up too early with my eldest for no reason at all, hairdresser stuffed my colour up, Hannah didn't sleep today & although Grace was at daycare neither did she so now she is feral. To top it all off DH is working back late again tonight!!!!!
Talk tomorrow when i am a happier person..
cheezelz
11-12-2008, 22:06
cheezelz - your biscuits sound great - I've seen them in a christmas recipe book I've got and they look really good. Is the lolly bit ok for kids to eat (as I've always wondered if for small children if the lolly bit would be too hard)
Dont stress the babies didnt get near the biscuits unless you call the grown men my DH works with 'babies' then yes they did. lol The boiled lolly bit is hard so I made some without for Brie. I coloured some demerera sugar pink and sprinkled it ontop of hers so she felt special.
Lisa, oh, I was wondering what you meant on FB by window biscuits! They sound awesome! Well done!
They are just basic biscuits with stars cut out of them. In the star hole you put crushed boiled lolly and it melts in the oven. Something different.
:hissy: I scratched Biancas foot...by accident...:crying: poor little bubba, she was in her play thing, and picked her up, and didn't realise her legs were outstreched, so the foo caught on the plastic and scratched it.... I am still apologising to her, poor girl....
That is nothing. When Piper was about 5 weeks old I was holding her whilst cooking tea and she started to cry in my arms. I fobbed it off as her just being uncomfortable so settled her down and didnt think much of it. Then that night whilst changing her for bed I noticed a blister on her heel. I realised that when I was holding her and cooking her foot had touched a hot saucepan and that was why she started to cry. Talk about feeling guilty. I was so angry with myself.
OK girls I lost the plot on Saturday afternoon. When DH got home form work I walked out and turned my phone off and didnt come home for about 6hrs! I was a mess. No need to go into details because I was so out of it I can hardly remember what I was doing. I did tho end up going to the chemist and getting the script filled for my PND medication. I started it on Sunday morning. After a few days of feeling off the planet I am getting used to the meds although I cant tell if they are making a difference. In about a week I should be able to tell for sure. They sure do make me exhausted at the end of the day because I think they hype me up so much during the day.
So on that note Im off to bed. xoxo

Hi all,
Not much to say, been stalking lots, but not writing at all as I've had a very bad week with C. She's been pretty naughty, ignoring me, and I'm finding that I'm struggling to deal with it.
G's also been a bit grizzly, which is so NOT like her, so that's not helping me feel any better either.
Didn't want to depress anyone so decided not to chat.
Lisa - are there piccies somewhere of your biscuits and cake???? OR did someone else make a cake? I can't find any links but everyone seems to have seen them. I'd love a look at them.
Anyhow, better run, hopefully todays a better day. My mum is coming to stay for the weekend, babysitting the girls tonight so DH and I can go to his xmas show, then my family xmas tomorrow, so will be busy!

hey all, having quite a depressed day. my mum's old work is accusing her of stealing money that she didnt. ( i know cause i worked there too) and now she has to go to court. the judge that is doing the case is an *** hole and everything her lawyer asks for ( like evidence that could help her) he says no to. It looks like she is going to go to jail for something she didnt do! i feel so depressed and i dont want to lose my mum.
sorry for putting a damper on things but life is s***.

Hi august mummies... sorry it's taken me so long to get the energy to post...
What a journey motherhood is.
Jayda had quite a rough entrance into the world, I ended up with a throat infection and fever the day before giong into labour so was very weak from lack of sleep. My blood pressure went through the roof, not sure why, I had nosebleeds and lost a lot of blood during birth. The gas and pethidine gave me horrendous hallucinations also...After hours of pushing the dr discovered that part of my cervix was holding her head in, and by that time I was worn out. So 8pd 4 oz 58cm long (big for my narrow hipped frame!) Jayda was born with the aid of the ventouse suction thingy, and my last ounce of willpower, after 12 hours labour! To top it all off I tore badly and my placenta wouldn't come out so I had to go to theatre immediately to get stitched and fixed... poor Jayda didn't get to be with me for 3 hours after being born...I think this traumatised her a bit as she didn't feed properly for days, and had to be force fed for the first two... It was the longest and scariest few days of my life, and my poor partner got the shock of his life, right there by my side through the whole ordeal. I think we both aged ten years that day!

Hi there everyone I am in a better place today !!!!
I have finished my :xmastree: shopping Wooooohooooo!!!!! No more getting to the shops at 8:30 in the morning to get a park.
DH has his christmas party at work today/tonight so I won't be seeing him until tomorrow I suppose. I might take the girls to McDonalds for dinner to wear themselves out and I will get an early night.
jolenje - what a dramatic time you had you poor thing. I hope that Jayda has gotten over her traumatic entrance is good to you. How are you feeling now???
tashaz - did lucy like being unwrapped?? I haven't been able to wrap Sean since he was about 4weeks old.
babyedgar - I am sorry to hear you are having a hard time. I hope everything is sorted out quickly for your mum.
C & G's mummy - I hope you enjoy your night out without kids.
cheezelz - I hope the medication helps you. Aren't you good making biscuits. They never last more than an hour in our house. I have a biscuit addiction I am afraid.
Hi to everyone else - I am off to the doctor to get Sean immunised :(. I had hearing my baby boy cry..
2 girls so far- Great to hear from you! You are organised, xmas shop done already, I have only got hubby's, and Jayda's 37 pressies so far!:xmastree:
Tashaz- Jayda hasn't been wrapped since the hot weather started, I was too paranoid about overheating her... she is getting used to not being wrapped but sometimes still does the startle reflex/flapping about thing...lol!
:smiliedance:
Cheezelz? (I hope) Do give the meds a go, I have been on a low dose of citalopram for my mild PND, and I find it just takes the edge off. Motherhood can be overwhelming and you definitely aren't alone.
:hugs:
C & G's Mummy- I have only had two nights out since Jayda was born, with hubby babysitting. Both times I felt so guilty and was checking my phone every 5 seconds!
Warning: Boastful Post To Follow!
Jaydas progress:
Sleeping:
We started off with waking at 12am, 3am & 6am (very tiring)... progressing to waking at 2-3am and then 6-7am (better) and finally for the last month she has been SLEEPING THROUGH!!!
Daytime sleeps are a series of 20 min cat naps and the occasional 3 hour block of sleep, which is bearable when she sleeps so well at night.
Feeding:
She has always had a good appetite, but her sucking technique was poor to begin with due to tongue-tie (on & off made my nipples sore!) so this was quite frustrating at times, and I often considered giving up breastfeeding as it seemed such hard work... Through perseverance we have come this far, and she has had good weight gain to date and her sucking has improved noticably.
She has been on solids for two weeks and enjoys apple, custard, pumpkin, and ADORES mashed banana, she ate a WHOLE banana yesterday over the course of the day! Today she had a whole tin of egg custard in one go also. She isn't overly keen on rice cereal, but doesn't mind it if it has added apple or something in it.
Play:
She loves to watch TV and has her own little fold out lounge that she lays on and will often lay there for hours kicking and flapping about watching cartoons while mummy does some housework! She is starting to hold rattles and toys and is beginning to grasp and pull things into her mouth. She is partially rolling, and I often find her in weird positions! She has good neck and upper body strength, and she will partially sit up if we hold her hands, and uses her arm strength to stop herself sagging forwards or backwards. She also likes to try and stand up when on our lap, pushing up with her legs and trying to be up at our eye level!
Speech:
She is a real chatterbox and has quite a range of vocabulary already! She often wakes up and will lay there chattering for ages before crying. Sounds range from the usual "goo"s and "gaa"s to a high pitched squeal when excited. She gives us plenty of smiles but not enough giggles as yet, but when they do happen it just melts our hearts!!!
Well that's enough of my bragging...I just wanted to update you all on our progress!

HI girls, not really much to say today.
:hugs: for those of you going through hard times. I hope things improve soon for you and your families.
:yelclap: for all the clever babies.
:yelclap::yelclap: for all of you clever mummies. I sounds like everyone is doing a really great job.
I haven't even thought about putting Emily on solids yet and she turns 5 months in a few days. I think I will start when she is 6 months or if she is starts showing particular interest. She sits in her high chair at the table when the rest of us are eating and watches closely but hasn't shown any of the readiness signs yet for having a go herself.
It seems like Emily is a big sleeper compared to some other bubs. She sleeps at night from about 7 -5 (short feed) - 7:30/8. She feeds about every 2.5 - 3 hourly and only stays awake for between 45mins to 1.5 hours She normally goes straight to sleep once i put her in her cot but does get a bit unsettled around dinner time. When she's awake if we are home she feeds and then just plays under her playgym or i hold her and we play together. Obviously this doesn't happen everyday but this is her general routine.
Oops dh is home and i don't want to get sprung on the computer when my house is a pigssty so'd better go....

Evening girls,
Just a quick one from me, have been trying to spend as little time on the computer as possible as E has been very clingy the past week and hates to be put down to play by himself for longer than 5 minutes before he starts screaming!
Took him to the paed yesterday, the one I don't like or trust. He told me to start E on solids because of his excema so that we could find out what he was allergic too... I really wanted to start him when he is 6 months which is only 6 weeks away so the whole solids thing is doing my head in... E is showing some signs he is ready, however he only just started lifting his head up when he is on his tummy 3 weeks ago so the head control is still kind of lacking. I just wish that I didn't have to wait until March to see the new paed.
On top of all this, E refuses to go to sleep during the day unless he is in the car, pram or I feed him to sleep. Then he only sleeps for 30 minutes so I am kinda back to where I started  He hates being rocked to sleep anymore and I am not going to allow him to scream just to get him to go to sleep eventually... it is very hard.
As far as doing things alone go, my DH works from home... when he is 'working' I am taking care of E solely... problem is DH is either sleeping or working so I really have no support from him at all, in fact I think he has only bathed him once in the past 6 weeks and that is only because I said... you take care of E I am going to the gym (I have not been back to the gym since) but I won't get into that as it will just make me cry and I have already done enough of that today.
Sorry no personals and apologies for the 'about me' post.

Tara - :hugs: for you.. I know how you feel about seeming to be doing it all. Tonight is my DH's 3rd late night at work. Well tonight is his Christmas party and I am feeling a little resentful. He gets home at 7pm every night leaves at 7am and by the time he gets home everything is done. Kids are bathed, fed and ready for bed and after being up at about 5am every morning I am ready for bed too...
Sean wakes up during his day sleeps after about 30-40 minutes as well. How long does he cry for when he wakes??? I admit I leave Sean to cry for about 5 minutes (unless he is screaming) and he will 99% of the time go back to sleep, something to do with the REM sleep pattern thingy.
Don't feel sorry about the me post we all have them.... again :hugs: for you!!!
:hugs::hugs::hugs: to all of you girls ...seems that lots of you are in a bit of a downer....especialy baby edgar with the court case...:hugs:...hope things will improve for everyone ASAP!!!!!
Jolenge...so good to hear from you....sorry the the birth wasn't excactly a posotive experience, but Jayda sounds fantastic, cute and very clever...well done....
Nothing new here...went and had an US for my kidneys, cause they were giving me trouble when I was pregnant...and they are all cleared now...so that is good. Got few more pressies, and wrapped all of the pressies up today...so thet is good as well. Hmmmm other wise busy,busy...DH x-mas party tomorrow, so it will be a late night for us all...I feel exhausted just thinking about it.
Ok I will go for now...u all have a great night, hope u all get a good sleep.

Hey girls...
Tara: Lots of :hugs: for you. If you don't want to start little E on solids just yet - don't. Forget about the paed. Trust yourself. We aren't starting solids until Zaydn is 6 months old - I think it is great that you are waiting until then especially because little E is obviously highly sensitive (as indicated by his excema). My DH has quite a few allergies and so did I as a child which is one of the reasons why we are waiting until Z hits 6 months - by waiting a little bit longer we are giving his immune system a chance to become stronger.
With regards to daytime sleeps, Zaydn is the same - he has about four 30-40 minute naps per day and it takes quite a lot to get him to sleep. So you are definetly not alone. I did try the whole re-settle thing each time he woke but it diidn't work - we both just ended up in tears and exhausted. I just figure that he will eventually start sleeping longer during the day. Sorry for not being much help - just wanted to let you know that you aren't alone :hugs:
Marissa: Wow, Emily sounds like a dream baby! How is the new place going, are you settled in? What town are you in now? Was it Karratha? If so, we used to go there all the time as kids - I bet it has changed heaps since then!
Jolenje: Jayda sounds wonderful! Things are sounding great with you now.
Paula: Well done on finishing the christmas shopping! Hope you are had a nice quiet evening with your kids.
Tasha: Glad Lucy slept well last night since being unwrapped. We stopped wrapping Z since he was about 6 weeks old - it just wasn't his thing!
Ashley: So sorry about everything that is happening at the moment. :fingerscrossed: it is all sorted out real soon.
Michele: Sorry things haven't been going well for you at the moment. Hopefully you will have a lovely, relaxing weekend while your mum is over.
Lisa: I hope your meds are helping you out and things start to get better really soon.
Ellie: How did DD1's xmas carols go?
Thth: Hope you and DP are able to work everything out together.
Alina: Bebe pods can be used until bub no longer fits in them! Sorry that your AF returned - what a bummer!
Michelle: Yay for getting your bebe pod - Chloe is going to love it!
Yvonne: How are you going?
We had a really great day today - took Z to meet Santa and got a lovely photo :goodvibes: We have our playgroup christmas party tomorrow which should be fun. DH made a yummy hedgehog slice for me to take for the kiddies (he enjoys baking more than me)! Zaydn is in bed fast asleep and I really should be too! DH is working 9pm - 5am tonight in Northbridge (main clubbing district of Perth) and I always get a bit worried as I know there are some pretty crazy/stupid/nasty people out there....best not to think about it I guess!
Really should go...hope you all have a lovely weekend....

hey girls...
hey girls
im buggered... I was up in sydney for my old work xmas party, it was soooooooo good aiden got passed around the function room and he delt with it really well... he fell asleep in some of my friends arms, so it was good that I could get up and dance.
after the party I got the all clr to drive into the ambo bay and sneek into the kids ED... only thing was that the people in the obs area didnt know me and thought I was some weirdo that bought her baby to hospy with some weird santa hat on ... I soon found some people that new me:cool: I think I have finally cut my umbilical cord from that place but they people still rock:thumbsup:
cheezles... I really hope that u can get ontop of things really soon... Its not fair what your body is going through
tara... I agree totally with babyNo1 re solids... the main reason for solids to be withheld till 6 months is decrease allergies and your little e is already sensitive... def trust your instincts with that doggy paed... u dont have to listen to him. I have never heard of solids being introduced early to rule out allergies... wouldnt it flare up Es excema more????
have u got a referal to see a paediatric dermatologist?????
would your hubby be interested in having some special bath time with E... he can jump in the bath with him... ray feels much more comfortable with aiden in the bath.
well I gtg... have rays family xmas party tomorrow and its going to be another big one... atleast aiden will get some gifts

Hi Girls,
This week has been a bit of a weird one for me, have been unmotivated (which has been BAD for my weight-loss) and mood-swinging mega (happy one minute, grumpy the next). Last 2 days I've been a shocker so haven't really posted due to being a downer.
Chloe once again hasn't been sleeping through since those 2 magical nights, she tends to still wake between 3-5am. Ah wells I'll keep trying .
Solids - Today I gave Chloe some home-made apple puree which she finished and loved. Have made up a bunch of puree's and frozen these today (Apple, Pumpkin, Potato, Pumpkin & Potato, Carrot). I'm going to give Chloe solids once a day around lunchtime but still give her all her other usual milk feeds.
Jolenje - Good to hear you are doing well, sorry Jayda's birth was traumatic but glad she is thriving now.
Tara - I agree with Claire, if you are not ready to feed Emrys solids then don't, your his mum & to me it sounds risky if he already has allergies?
Claire - Saw the photo of Zaydn with Santa, so so cute :goodvibes:.
Alina - Your xmas party sounded like great fun!
Lisa - Oh wow Piper is a clever little girl, it is scary to think she'd start crawling so soon :).
Ellie - Good news about your kidneys. Also hope you have fun at your DH's xmas party tonight!
Hi to anyone else that I may have missed, have a good night/weekend girls. :flowerz:

thanks for the encouraging words. we have decided to just try and have a nice christmas together and see what happens in the new year.
mishey cat - go you for making the food. at the moment i am just giving kailee rice cereal as i am still trying to find the baby food things that you can freeze. Does anyone know where you can get the little individual freezer food things.
ellie 13 - i hope you have a great time at your hubbys christmas party.
cheezelz - go pipper! you have one clever girl
anyway i'm off to bed. a big hello to everyone else i missed

Cheezelz? (I hope) Do give the meds a go, I have been on a low dose of citalopram for my mild PND, and I find it just takes the edge off. Motherhood can be overwhelming and you definitely aren't alone.
I have to say that I think that they are working. I am only on half dose because the full dose made me batty. I was going to move upto the 10mg next week but feel great on the 5mg so might stay on that. I realised last night in bed that they are working. I made myself think about things that set me off a few weeks ago and about the things I didnt like during the births of my girls. I didnt cry at all. I just said to myself that Im stupid for thinking silly and that I should go to sleep. Hopefully I stay like this and that when the time comes it is easy to come off.
MICHELLE: Geez girlie you have almost caught up to me with your weight loss. Lucky for you I have binged so bad these last few days that I think I will gain at weight watchers this week. I think after a few good losses I feel I deserve a break but Ive taken it way too far this time :D.
Off to bed for my beauty sleep. xoxo Love you girls!! :valentine:
Hi girls... Long time, no see. I'm on my iPhone tonight because our wireless seems to be down so Ill keep this brief. Things have been crazy here. Moved into our new house at the end of October which was NOT fun with a toddler and a young baby.. Don't recommend it at all.
Ashton is doing well... Nearly five months old and getting huge. As of last Tuesday, Ash now weighs 8.5kgs (90% percentile) and is 67cms long (80% percentile).. He's a big boy !!! He's nearly sitting and had his first go in the Jolly Jumper yesterday - he loved it !!!
I've been blessed with another good sleeper which is great for my sanity. He goes to bed at 7-8pm and sleeps for at least 12 hours.. He's been doing that since he was seven weeks old. The only downside to him sleeping overnight is that he doesn't sleep much during the day, so I don't get much of a break from him.. But that's ok because he is a pretty good bub.. Unlike his older brother, but that's another story :)
Sorry for the lack of personals, but as I said I'm posting this on my phone... So Ill do a proper post from my laptop soon.

Chloe slept from 8pm - 5am this time, not too bad I guess.
Ashley - I bought some "baby cubes" from Big W which come with 8 cubes in a tray. Other than that I'm just using small plastic containers with lids. Their all freezer & microwave safe.
Lisa - Yeah I know what you mean about no weight-loss this week, I've been binging too and this morning (my weigh-in day) I weigh the same as last Sunday. Oops :o! Ah wells I needed a break from it I've been good up until now.
Penny - Good to hear from you and that Ashton is doing so well, another angel baby who sleeps through the night you're so lucky!
Anyhow Chloe's dozing off so I might have a nap on the too :).
Michelle
 good morning everybody....what a beautiful wet morning it is here in Melbourne...lol...it's been pouring down all night and all day yesterday....Bianca loves the rain when I am getting her into the car...she thinks it is hilarious rain drops on her face..:goodvibes:
Penny- great to hear from you, moving is hard regadles, and with 2 littlies, I admore u that u have some sanity left. Well done on Ashtons progress, sounds like you are all doing great.
Michelle-:hugs: hope you'll start heaving good days soon.....and skip weight looss during x-mass...impossible..at least for me....I still have about 13 kgs to go. Hopefully it will fall off soon.
Lisa- good to hear that u r feeling a little bit better, at least the cloud is lifting, and that way u might have some streangth to do positive thinking...lol
Babyedgar-yep that's what we are doing...just wait and see...best recepie, hope u had a good sleep.
Huge:wave: to everybody, hope you are all doing well.
X-mas party was great, very loud but great, enjoyed myself, and Bianca was wonderful, slept for a good part of it. It was very merry, didn't go till too late, only about mindnight, but this morning we all got a sleep in till 9 am:smiliedance:.....can't remember last time that happened. Not that Bianca slept the whole time, but I put her into bed with me, and whenever she woke up, I just gave her the BB and she drank herself to sleep...lol.
So I feel ok this morning.
Just a question...am I weired that it doesn't worry me that Bianca wakes up on average 3-4 times a night??/ Shoul I be worried about that???
anyways, sorry have to go Bianca just woke up from her nap.
u all have a great day:sunshine:
Hi everyone...
Us- Jade has been very irritable the last 2 days, so ended up back at doc's today just to get her ear checked, she keeps rubbing it like crazy, nothing can be seen so looks like it is just a habit she has now got, she has been very hungry today, 6 bottle's and 2 feeds of solids and is now .. She has started biting :shame:, thankgod she hasnt any teeth popping out yet, but it still actually hurts .. Still hasnt rolled again but doesnt want to be on her play mat anymore, wants to be in the jolly jumper or in her Bumbo chair.. We had a bust Saturday with basketball games and parties, but a very mellow day today, getting ready for a very hectic week..
ellie- Yay Bianca for being a good bubba at the Xmas party, I wouldnt worry that Bianca still wakes up, Jade is back to waking up and my DD1 didnt sleep through the night till she was nearly 2yo.
misheycat- Sounds like Chloe is getting better with her sleeps, JAde also likes to wake now beteen 3:30-5am, luckily she has a feed and goes straight back to sleep.
icugal- Hi, Ashton sounds like a very nice healthy bubba..
cheezelz- Good to hear the med's are helping, I have been on mine for a week and i am not sure if they are helping? but i got AF so will have to wait till after that goes away i guess to find out..
Sorry to the people i missed but there was alot to catch up on and i need to go and do some housework :hair:, oh so much folding up :hissy:.
Hope everyone is well..

good morning everyone!
how are you all doing?
thth - kailee doesnt bite but she trys to chew on my shoulder when i'm holding her upright but she is a thumb sucker (i tried to give her a dummy but she had no idea what to do with it) and one day she bit her own thumb and made herself cry. lol
ellie 13 - i'm glad you had a good time at the christmas party and that bianca was a good girl.
missy cat - thanks for that. i'm going to go to bankstown today to buy some so i can start her on more food.
to all the ladys with PND - i hope you are all feeling better and that your medications are helping. big :hugs:
us - we had a great day yesterday, hubby was home (he works 6 days a week) so it was nice to ave him around lol. and we went to the church christmas carols last night which was fun. the singing not so good but the atmosphere was great lol. today i am off to the shops as i finally got my family assistance bonus and can get our new video camera off layby and some food cubes for kailee.
to everyone else a huge  and i hope you all have a great day!

Hi Girls,
Chloe slept from 8pm-5:30am today again which I'm pretty happy with. She has her 4-month immunisations today so hopefully this doesn't unsettle her too much! :fingerscrossed:
Yesterday gave Chloe some Pumpkin & Potato, she ate a little bit but didn't seem overly keen.
Ellie - Yeah I don't think I'm going to be able to lose too much weight over the xmas break, trying not to stress about it. Also, I don't think your weird for not worrying about Bianca waking 3-4 times a night. I personally struggle on broken sleep and hate being a grumpybum.
Thth - Chloe is a chewer/biter but tends to do this to herself silly girl :p.
Ashley - Have fun spending your FB bonus. We got ours last week and its already been spent, all of bills .
Have a great day girls! :flowerz:

Morning girls.
Its a lovely morning here in the Latrobe Valley. DP,Ryden and Myself are heading off to Walhella today. It an old gold minning village, still set in its own way, it has great character (bit like soverion Hill,). His Bosses own a holliday house thing up there and said we can use it for the next couple of days. We are only going for the one night as DSS has his kindy xmas concert tommorrow.
Well i finnaly put Ryden in his cot yesterday, he is getting to big for his bassinnett. He hated it, he screamed himself to sleep for his day slees (on 10min of screaming) followed by on 20 mins of sleep. I also put him in the for his big night sleeps, he screamed and screamed and screamed, i end up rocking him to sleep. Then put him in there, he sleep all night and still wokewith smiles. I slept in DSS bed in there, as i dont have a baby monitor yet, I think he is getting one for xmas, so untill then im sleeping in DSS bed and when he is Here Ryden can come and sleep with me.
Am i being silly by not letting him sleep in the room by himself and waiting until i ge a baby monitor. i just hate the tought of him waking and me not hereing him straight away.
Better go Ry needs his breaky. HAve a good day.
Stacey

Hi ladies, I'm just quickly posting before i get on with my days chores. I just wanted to boast that Emily dropped her 5am feed this morning and is still sleeping. So far she has slept for 12hours straight. My older two never did this until after they were 1 so I am just in heaven.
Unfortunately I had a rather cr@p night sleep as DH is sick and was tossing and turning all night. But that doesn't matter too much if the kids are well slept.
Hope you are all having a good day
hi girls
big :hugs:s to everyone who is having a rough time at the moment
we had our early christmas dinner with my family on saturday nite, it was very nice and i ate too much of course, Lucy got a lovely pair of sleepers from my mum but omg they where so tiny that they where so difficult to put in!! and now they look soooo cute and she got a heap of rattles and teathing thingys and she is loving chewing on them...when she isnt accidently whacking herself in the face with them :)
My Dh is on holidays now...its so nice to have him at home and he is off for the next 4 weeks yay!!
Lucy has her needles today :crying: i might give her panadol before we got this time.
sorry for no personals but its busy busy here trying to pack and get the house cleaned so we dont have to come back to a messy house and we have to do some last minute chrissy shopping...might save that till tomorrow dont really want to take lucy shopping after her needles
a huge hello to everyone and i hope we all have a lovely day

Hi there everyone
tashaz - I hope lucy goes ok with her needles today, sean had his on Friday and was a little off for a day or so. Have a great time on your holiday:)
rissa - Great to hear that Emily dropped that early feed. Nice when they do that 12 hour sleep thing. I hope your DH feels better so you can have a good nights sleep as well.
rydensmummy - Have a nice night away!!! Don't feel silly for not wanting him to sleep in the room by himself, I am learning that parenting is what feels right for you and your family not what others say or do. I have always had my kids in their cot in their own room from birth and never had a problem with that. That is not to say that what I do is the best/right way of doing things though. Just go with what you feel.
mishey - I hope chloe goes ok with her needles too...
babyedgar - the carols sound lovely. We were supposed to go to our churchs' carols on Saturday night but just had a really bad day Saturday and everyone was tired and grumpy.
thth - I hope jade is feeling better and had a better day yesterday for you. OWWWW about the biting. Sean does that without any teeth but yowwwww it hurts a lot.
ellie - glad your xmas party was good. Again refer to my comments to rydensmummy, if you are ok waking for feeds then it is right for you. If that is what Bianca needs then that is what you should do.
icugal - wow Ashton sound like a dream, well done you. Good to hear he is going well and good to hear from you.
cheezels - good to hear the meds are working for you. I hope you continue on the positive path.
Me - well Friday Sean had his needles and got weighed and measured. So he is currently 6.69kg and 68cm long so I think he is going pretty well. He is on about the 95th percentile for length so I am a bit amazed, I am pretty tall and my mums family are tall so I am glad it is looking like he will have height. DH had his xmas party on Friday night so I thought I would take the kids to McDonalds for dinner, well it was a nightmare. Hannah was a shocker and I was just glad to get home in the end. Saturday I was so down and low(haven't been taking my vitamins) I had a big chat to Dh and we agreed that the 3 kids are exhausting me so we decided to put Hannah in daycare 2 days next year. That will mean Grace will be at Preprep on Thurs/fri and every second Wed and Hannah will be at daycare every Wed/Fri. Hopefully this helps with things.
Okay very long post so enough from me, hi to anyone I have missed I hope you have a really great day.
Hi all the beautiful mummas & bubbas!
I hope you've had a good day.
Sorry I don't have the energy to do personals...
:hissy:
Princess Jayda has been a little demanding today... I am wondering if she's getting ready to cut teeth?
She has a small red/blistery area on her bottom gum, (not sure if it's just from her gnawing on hands/fingers/you name it...) and also has been furiously shoving anything and everything into her gob, slobbering like anything, and generally sounding frustrated...
Please tell me what you girls think...has anyone else's bubba got teeth yet?
Thanx in advance!

Hi Girls,
Chloe had her needles this arvo and was cried for about 5-minutes afterwards, felt so so bad for her, poor little legs! :crying: She was a bit unsettled in the afternoon but considering I think she was an angel. She is finally sleeping now, hope she sleeps ok through the night.
Stacey - Yay for Ryden sleeping in his cot. We don't have a baby monitor and Chloe is in her own room, I do feel guilty sometimes when I don't hear her straight away but I usually get their relatively quick when she cries (our room isn't too far away). So sweet you are still sleeping close to him. :goodvibes:
Marissa - Congrats of Emily sleeping throughout the night that's awesome she dropped that pesky early feed. Hope your DH is better soon so you can take advantage of that extra sleep :).
Tasha - So cute that Lucy has little earrings :). I hope Lucy is ok after her needles today!
Paula - Congrats on Sean's weight & length, wow 68cm is tall! Chloe is a shorty at only 52-53cm last measured about a fortnight ago (DH is only 5"10 & I'm 5"7 not sure if this affects their height).
Jasmine - Good luck with checking on Charlie's weight, how big is he now? Chloe has only just hit the 6kg mark, from memory Charlie wasn't much bigger than her at birth (she was 2.64kg)? Just for comparison...
Jo - Chloe doesn't have any teeth so I'm pretty useless, but it does sound like Jayda might be starting to teeth ouchies! Hope she settles for you soon.
Might go have an early night, girls!

I have started an august pic thread so we can show off our santa baby pics :yelclap: Im too buggered to put mine on so ill do it 1st thing in the morning
well I had a really big mummy blow up on saturday I was so exausted, i shut myself in my room and sobbed to my mummy... :confused:probably due to lack of sleep and my DH ignoring aiden and my need for a break... we have come to a deal, during the week ray will get the most sleep (he gets up at 5ish in the morning) and on the weekends I get to sleep in the spare room and he will do dummy duty all buy him self:yelclap:
I am also thinking of having a chat to my Gp regarding my anxiety and lack of sleep.... aiden gets 10- 12 during the night and im pushing 5 - 6 hrs
Our new pram arrived today... it is the bestest in the world, I love it I wanna sleep in it

Hi Girls,
Well we have been so busy, i thought we were slowing down a bit, until yesterday when i took both Bailey for his 4 year old needles and check up and Talon for his 4 month needles and check up, they did a hearing test on Bailey which is apparently routine now at 4 years and he had trouble hearing high pitched noises, not sure what that means, i rang the hearing specialist and thanks to a cancellation can fit us in this afternoon.
Talon was a angel for his needles, cried a little bit for his second one but that was it, he has done alot of explosive nappies since then though. Talon weighs 6.96 kg's now and 64.5 cm's long , has only put on about 700 grams since 2 months, they said not sure if its cause of his spewing or whether he is just more active now and burns up more energy.
Don't have time for personnels now, will pop back in later after hearing test to attempt them, i hope life slows down soon so i can do some christmas cooking.
Have a great day girls.
Bianca  in my arms......so I apologise for any sp mistakes and if it all doesn't make sence.I've been making a movie on the comp from photoes of the wedding, preg, birth and untill now, so i can burn it on dvd and give it to grandmas for x-mas...so i have been too tired to pop in here. but it is finished now....my first time...so not the best, but i guess i will get better at it as time goes by. i think i might make it a yearly thing, so that way i get photoes all sorted out every year.
sleeping....Bianca is in her cot in her room right next to our bedroom (if i lie on my bed the opposite way, i can see her in her cot)....but paranoia me.....i have a monitor on anyway.....i just like to know what is going on in there:o
well...:hugs: to everyone who needs it....and:yelclap: to everyone who is doing great.
jo-sounds like teething to me.
better go,hard to type this way, hope u all have a great day:flowerz:
hi girls
Lucy screamed the doctors down yesterday:crying: my dh held her but that was worse because she looked straight at me so i cried too, the panadol worked a treat but because when we got home she slept for 3 hours and woke her usual smiley self :cloud9:
Terrible2+1cutie- hope the hearing test goes ok my ds has hearing loss in one ear he had to have his eardrum reconstructed so now he doesnt hear some pitches in that ear.
lianas1stbub- yay on the pram!
misheycat- needles are torture hay!
jolenje-sounds like Jayda is getting teethies...i think Lucy is at the same stage too
BambinaCattiva- Lucy slept till 4.30am so nearly the whole nite, im with you on facebook its so addictive!
2girlssofar-i havent even packed yet :o
Rydens Mummy- Lucy is still sleeping in her bassinette even though she is too big for it because i dont want to be that far away from her, so your not being silly your just being a mum
a big hello to everyone else
i better get packing

Hello everyone!!!
How are you all? I havent been on for awhile because i got a nasty burn on the inside of my wrist so its made typing and using the mouse a bit difficult
We are going well, thought i had finished all my xmas shopping and then a few people have said they have presents for my kids, so ive got to go out and get some presents for their kids too...
what does everyone on here do? buy for just family? or pretty much everyone you know? or just their kids?
DH has had to go away for work yesterday and today, so it has just been me and ethan at home (DS1 is at his grandparents because i didnt think i could deal with the 2 of them at night by myself) and ethan was a little ratbag last night. usually he wakes once for a feed, and then is straight back to sleep, but last night he woke 3 times and took about an hour to get back to sleep each time. Hopefully it was just a once off because he was missing his daddy!
Im getting a bit resentful of my DH at the moment, every weekend seems to be about what HE wants to do, he will have his friends over or he will go for a ride on his motorbike. I mean i know that i cant go out for the day and leave ethan with him because he just will not take a bottle, but it would be nice to have DH say " what do you want to do today hun? i'll mind the boys for a few hours and you can do whatever you want..."
Jolenje - Im so sorry that you had such a rough time bringing your daughter into the world, how are things going for you now? hope all is well.
Jasmine - i know what you mean about computer time being absorbed by facebook, i seem to find myself always on there looking at everyones photos!!! Hope things are ok with Charlies weight?

Hi Girls,
Well I truly jinxed myself today by saying Chloe was reacting well to her needles :( She had a slight temperature but that was all until an hour ago, woke up screaming, very unhappy and unsettled, very hungry and polished off over her milk, still grizzly and hot, gave her some panadol and had to rock her to sleep in her bouncer to settle her .
On a happy note her bebepod plus was delivered around the same time as grizzle hour, she sits up in it well but was too grumpy to stay in it or try it out with the tray/toy.
Here's a photo:

Alina - Your avatar of Aiden dressed in xmas clothes is so cute :D.
Catherine - Glad Talon has been settled since his needles (well apart from the nappies ;)), hope you get some good news regarding Bailey's hearing.
Tasha - Glad Lucy woke up happy, I'm hoping Chloe will do this after she's had her nap this arvo.
Hayley - Sorry to hear about the burn, sounds ouchies :(. Also not so good about your DH, they can be like that sometimes all me me me, sounds like he needs a kick in the bum and have it brought to his attention he's being selfish. Regarding presents I only buy for immediate family. Regarding my weight-loss its stalled at the moment (around xmas is too hard), however previously I was eating very small portions compared to before, limiting junkfood & going on the treadmill a few times a week.
Anyhow whilst Chloe is napping I might tidy up around here. Hi to anyone I missed .
Michelle
hi ladies,
I haven't been on for a little while, Had an extremely busy weekend - 3 parties on sunday and saturday did heaps of baking for Christmas stuff!
I hope you haven't been forgetting me as I haven't been posting much.
I had been feeling great in myself the last week or so, but yesterday was just horrible....It was the first really bad day for nearly 2 weeks. Spent a far bit of the day so stressed/crying...apart from a birthday party at lunchtime and carols in the evening (both which I got myself composed for, put on a brave face) then ended up in tears again last night syaing to my dh what a bad mother I am - I am just not the mum I want to be - I'm just not patient with them most of the time, ds has been extremely tiring and I've been taking out on everyone. I hate being like this.
I thought I was going so well.
But today I got up and have tried to be positive, saying to the kids "today we'll all be happpy" and trying my very best to keep it together. I have been productive this morning though - onto my 4th lot of washing (it was out of control), done the dishwasher load, stripped the beds....I figure while I'm having a better day, I'll do as much as I can handle.
I'll give it a coupe more weeks to decided whether I'll go see a doctor..I had thought I was doing really well...hopefully it was just a bad day yesterday....
mishey - Chloe look so cute!
fire-fly - we buy for nephews/nieces, for a couple of our friends kids, grandparents and then just our family (ie my kids and dh)
Dh's generally just dont think the way we do
tasha - hope Lucy is ok
ellie - great idea with the cd.
t2 - hope your boys ar e ok after their needles.
Alina - :hugs: for you. I've had plenty of those days lately...except only really you ladies and my dh know about them (don't want anyone really to know). Glad you feel you can talk to your mum.
Jo - it does sounds like teeth...
Jasmine - it's lovely when everyone is excited for Christmas. It must be a really special one for your dh!
2girls - glad that you have sorted out a few things to make things better for you.
A big hello to everyone else!
:hugs: :hugs: to lot of you!!!
Hmmm better go Bianca just pushed out a very smelly pooooooooooooooo

HI girls, just a quick one ...
Emily turned 5 months today. I am feeling very mixed emotionally about this. Its wonderful and lovely to see her growing and developing and I know its inevitable, but I just feel sort of sad that its all happening so quickly. Dh has definetely put his foot down this time and is determined that she is our last and I just feel so sad time is passing so quickly :crying:.
Anyway I was hoping to have a rest but dd1 just woke up so i ahve to go to her now instead. I will try to get on later to do personals.

Hi everyone,
I can finally post again. I havent had the net for about a week now so I've missed out on my daily dose of bubhub. I hope you are all well.
Isabelle is now rolling and rollling and rolling lol. She also tries sitting up now. Yesterday I sat her on the floor and she lasted 30seconds before she started to tilt lol. She has only had rice cereal a couple of times now, I don't think she really likes it but she's always trying to take my food.
Í hope you are all having a great morning (most of you may still be in bed lol) and have a great day:thumbsup:

Hi Girls,
Well Chloe is feeling much better today and is more settled, she even let me put her in the bebepod for a bit and had a little play, though when the tray is on she tries to pull this off and escape, then gets angry when she can't :D.
Also, this week Chloe is so active and noisy, she's started squealing now, doing that excited breathing thing and is chatting almost non-stop, pretty funny and cute. She's starting to enjoy tummy time a bit more too, oh and she JUST rolled from her back onto her tummy which was a surprise so now she's rolled both ways :cloud9:.
It's funny, due to her birth size I thought she would be delayed with a lot of her milestones due to being smaller and weaker than other babies but I'm thankful she's seems to be catching up.
Yvonne - Sorry you had such a bad day on Monday, really hope things start picking up for you soon :hugs:. One thing though, you are NOT a bad mother (and I don't believe anyone on here is that's just wrong!), you are doing brilliantly and I couldn't imagine being able to look after 3 young children like you have been, running a household as well as going for walks regularly (you are doing so so well with exercise & weightloss!!!) and now with xmas parties and baking, you are like super woman - who I think needs a well deserved break! Perhaps your DH or family could give you some 'me' time so you can relax yourself a bit.
Marissa - Wow Emily is 5-months already, it is sad seeing them grow out of their newborn/baby phase, I'm sorry your DH has said no to more babies :hugs:. To have 3 gorgeous kids is my dream (I suspect I'll need to fight to have a 2nd one - although this morning DH was all :goodvibes: with Chloe...),and watching them grow into little people then adults is exciting (and scary).
Alina - After that other thread you created, do you think you will go back to work part-time or are you swaying more towards a SAHM? Good luck with the work pool thingy, I've been procrastinating over my Job and Person Specification for my old work, and praying to win the lotto .
Anyhow better go and tidy our laundry (our cat went on a kitty litter flinging spree).
Michelle
Good morning everyone...
US- i feel like utter ****, Dp has given me this cold/flu thing and i am so stressed it is very draining and i have so much to do before Christmas..
Jade is doing well, her bottom teeth are really bothering her, you can see and feel where the teeth are but still nothing breaking through, she has been enjoying rusks and doing a good job on them, she has rolled a couple more times now :yelclap:.
Does anyone else's bubba get up to the top of their cot? Jade will not stay put, i went and bought her an air flow cot bumper, cause she keeps hitting her head and getting her arms and feet out of the side , What happened to my lil girl who just stayed put lol..
This is Jade's Bumbo chair, she loves it and spends alot of time in it..

I was planning on personals but Jade is having a tantrum, will try and get back later today

Morning everyone,
I was up at 5:00 this morning but could barely keep my eyes open for some reason so went back to bed and noone got up until 7am :yelclap: :yelclap: except DH who went off to work.
thth - sorry you have got a cold now too. SUmmer colds are the worst. I hope you are feeling better very quickly. Sean moves all over the cot too, I find him in all sorts of wonderful positions now.
mishey - I know what you mean about noisy bubs, sean is soooo loud. I thought he would be quiet as he has 2 very noisy sisters but I am thinking he is going to keep up with them. I am glad chloe is back to normal after her needles. Sean still seems to be a little unsettled and doing a few more poos than normal.
tahnee - welcome back and yay for isabelle's rolling & sitting up for a little bit is very impressive.
liana - rest day????? what is that???? I am glad you got to relax and recharge your batteries a little. Hope baby group was good.
rissa - I know what you mean about them growing quickly, sean is our last and I just want him to be my baby for as long as possible. Well he will always be my baby but you know what I mean. Mind you on the flipside I definately do not want anymore babies and would be devastated if I fell pregnant again to tell you the truth.
lyglc - I hope you are feeling better, I know exactly how you feel. Lately I have been a very cranky, self doubting mummy and it hasn't been good for anyone. I am hoping with a more positive attitude I will deal with things a little better.
firefly - we only buy for kids of friends, and only for one's that we see often. DH's mate from school whom we don't see too often came over last weekend and they had gifts for our kids so the day before I was madly out buying things for their kids. We also buy for everyone in the family (which is starting to be very expensive). I would be happy to just buy for the kids though. Also about being a little resentful towards your DH, totally in touch with that. I posted here on Saturday as yet again DH was out doing some stuff with mates and like every other day I was at home with the 3 kids.
tashaz - sorry about lucy and her needles, so heartbreaking when they cry in pain like that. I have to keep thinking it is for the greater good. Hope the packing went well and you have a great time.
Hi to ellie & anyone else I have not mentioned.
me - well I am off to brave the grocery store with the 3 kids. I really don't want to but we desperately need certain things like fruit and vegies. I have to time it so as soon as sean has been fed we can leave. For those of you who read my post about motherguilt, I am feeling a lot better about the decision. I think Hannah will benefit from the stimulation not to mention my sanity levels going to normal.
ok bye for now have a great day
Well Jade is asleep so i thought i would sneak back in and do some personals :)
2girlssofar- You have a lot on your plate with 3 lil one's, I have 3 but my other 2 are alot older, and i struggle some days, Jade will start daycare next year, just 2 days a week for a couple of hours each day, i personally think it is great for the kids, the interaction, the stimulation, things that busy mum's just dont have the time to do. My older 2 went in full time care cause i had to work, they adjusted very well to it..
misheycat- lol about your cats, mine do the same  ... I bet Chloe feels all grown up in her chair, i know Jade sits there and starts eyeing things off, getting herself prepared for when she can really move i think..
tahnee11- :yelclap: clever Isabelle.
lianas1stbub- Us mum's do need some relax and do nothing time, I am the same , wanting to work but not wanting to also, i missed out on alot with my 1st 2 kids working full time, and i dont want to miss out on anything with Jade, she is my last baby and i want to enjoy every little bit of it, but i want to work also :hair:
Well Darling Jade is calling out from her cot :cloud9:, so i better go get her out lol ..... sorry to those that i have missed and hope everyone has a great day..
wow we've been busy chatting......
Yvonne....YOU ARE AN EXCELLENT MOTHER!!!!! that said, u seemed to be very busy lately...u need some down time to recharge batteries...us women are all go,go,go .... and eventually it catches up to us....please make sure u take care of yourself.
thth- sos orry u r not feeling good...colds are so draining.....hope you'll feel better soon. And hpw are u going on the meds????feeling better???
Paula- great that u could have a bit of a sleep in....well done.
And I hope that Sean is feeling better after his needles.
Michelle- great to hear Chloe is feeling better...and that she is doing so well...yep they can suprise us...DD1 was really behind when she was 4.....and now she has made a big jump and she is so ahead...they can suprise u.
Tahnee- grerat to hear from u
sorry guys have to go now......suddendly...will try a bit later
have a great day
you guys say I'm a good mother....but I really don't think so. I try to be patient with my kids, but sometimes it all gets too much. I even yell at them sometimes...something I never want to do. I get so frustrated, I'm so tired (but not just in a sleep kind of way).
When others are around I try so hard and that's when I am the mother I want to be, but I'm not always like that at home...I'm grumpy, I don't spend enough time with them, I feel like they only do what I ask alot of the time because I reward them (often with treats), whereas I want them to do things, just because I ask them to.
I do try hard to try to positively parent them, especially with ds (who's very trying at the moment, but he is so incredibly gorgeous at the same time) and when I notice him doing something really good or he listens well I do my best to acknowledge it and give him a hi-5 (he really likes this).
But sometimes I just loose my cool, shout at the kids and just be a mean mummy!
Dh has often said that I do too much (I do like to stay busy) and that i do too many things that aren't neccessary, but often these other things give me alot of happiness so if I don't have these things, then I will feel even more miserable. If I can do things to make other people happy, then that makes me feel happy too.
Anyway...sometimes I have great days and be the mum I want to be....I guess i should get off my bum, get off the computer and spend times with them....that will help

Ok now I kinda prattled on a bit so sorry in advance :o...
Yvonne...
It's human to yell occasionally, I have yelled at Chloe before and I've felt terrible as a.) she is a baby she doesn't understand and b.) This is her only source of communication and I must be a pretty **** mum if I can't work out what her problem is and fix it.
But when you are lacking energy you are bound to lose patience and get frustrated. Also sometimes you need that confirmation from others you are a good mother. I know when my DH has said it to me I have said "really?" as I have doubted it (and he usually tells me this after Chloe has had a screaming match and she's finally settled, it helps when you are near or in tears).
To me, a bad mother (and I don't want to come across as judgemental this is just my opinion) isn't there for her children at all, she spends most of her time out partying, fobs the kids off onto relatives constantly, abuses the children (this can be not feeding, clothing, mentally abusive - not just a shout here or there but really messing with them psychologically, and the worst kind which is physically - and not a small smack here and there as my mum would smack me on the occasion and I turned out fine - but I'm talking 'belting' them). And so many other worse things I keep reading in the news .
Losing your cool is natural and I'd be shocked if you said you never got angry, bribed them with lollies (hey I look forward to the day when I can do this haha, I used to bribe my little sister with lollies all the time) and you need a break occasionally, as long as your children are safe, then they can spend a little time by themselves playing or watching tv.
The computer is your timeout, and I know my little opinion probably means nothing as I don't you 'in real life' but from what I've read over the last 10 months or so, you seem like a lovely person and an awesome mum!
:hugs::hugs::hugs:
Yvonne....:hugs:, but I still say you are a great mother......and all of your concerns are normal...we all have them...but remember.....what is your job as a mother........?????........to bring up your children (lovingly) to be independent, competent adults when they grow up, able to deal with life........and you are their main role model........wouldn't you be setting them up for failuire (sp) if you were perfect???? They need to see you slip, they need to see your imperfections, cause that teaches them that it is ok to not be perfect, and it is ok to loose your temper and how to deal with it all. You are giving them valuable lessons in how to deal with stress and everyday life. How much stress would it be for them to achieve the perfection that they would see in you.....allow yourself to be imperfect, and teach them how to make up when you slip......and that it is ok to loose your temper sometimes....and that being just human is just great.
Secondly.....when they grow up, their friends, partners and workcolleges will not be perfect either, and they have to know how to deal with that too, and the only way they learn is from you.
So you see....you are a VERY GOOD MOTHER....you love your kids and you are teaching them valuable lessons.....anyway that is what my motehr told me whenI was feeling excactly the same way as you are now...it helped me.....hope it helps you too:hugs:
Sorry guys for the cut off in my post just before...my SIL rang that they think that her mom might have Breast Cancer....:hissy::eek: so I had to speak to her and do couple of things....anyway they will know after few more biopsies on friday:fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed: it is nothing.....but they are pretty sure ATM from the mammograms and Ultrasound.
Ok I better go for now...Bianca is squeeling away....You all have a great day

I'll give it a coupe more weeks to decided whether I'll go see a doctor..I had thought I was doing really well...hopefully it was just a bad day yesterday....
:hugs::hugs::hugs:
OMG Im sorry to speak up so loudly about this but you need to see a doctor. You have to think about your family and not just yourself. Your mood isnt only affecting you but everyone around you and it doesnt sound like it would be any fun for them to be around you when your feeling down. It was when I saw myself not being as nice as I wanted to my DD1 & DH that I made the trip to see my GP then a psychiatrist to find help. I had to see our home and relationships thru their eyes. DH was terrified to see me in my downer. I was forcing myself to be happy and they were on egg shells and everything was so strained because they didnt want to set me off. PND is unpredictable at the best of times and the mose irrational things can makle you upset and its not fair to ask your family to act differently and watch themselves around you in their own home. I am only speaking like this only because now I can see what I was doing to my family and myself. I kept saying to myself that Im only having 1 bad day a week and I'll try and be better today, but then something silly would happen and Id hit the roof then fall in a heap on the floor crying for no apparent reason.
Im not saying that you need to go on medication but talking to someone can help just as much.
To see a doctor it doesnt mean you are crazy. It doesnt mean that you dont love you family. It also doesnt mean that you physically hurt anyone either. PND is often caused by pregnancy hormones that are too strong for our minds ot handle. Over time they will correct themselves but that is on average 12-18months. Do you really think you can live like this for that long. Should your family have to live like this for that long. Im sure they all miss the 'you' you were before.
Please consider it. I hate hearing that others are suffering thru this when there are solutions to fix the problem. :hugs: xoxoxo

Yvonne - I could have posted this. I have been going through the same thing lately and it has been making me rather gloomy :rain:. I am going to give myself the whole of January and if it hasn't improved I will be talking to my doc.
:hugs: :hugs: :hugs: - the fact that you yelling at your kids and getting upset with your actions show you are a good mother because you care.

Also Yvonne, your post describes me perfectly at the moment...........you're not alone, I actually thought you'd been peeping in my windows, that's how much it sounds like me.
I haven't been around much cos a) been VERY busy, and b) really haven't had the energy or desire to post.
I am reading everyone's posts though, to keep up to date, just not responding.
Sorry

Yvonne, I agree with what everyone else has said...don't be so hard on yourself!
Ellie, so sorry to hear about your Mum's scare, hopefully that's all it is :fingerscrossed: and the tests come back clear
2girls, trust me, you will all benefit from Hannah having a little time in a different environment where she can be exposed to new activities and new friends. Hope you fared well at the supermarket
thth, sorry you're getting your dp's bug :( hope you have a speedy recovery, jade sounds lovely :cloud9:, hope her teeth cut through for her soon
Michelle, saw your video's on facebook (as you know) Chloe is wonderful!
Hayley, that sucks about your hand/wrist! As far as presents, we keep it to a minimum, just my household + my neice/nephews who are in australia (I have like 13 all up so the kiwi ones miss out), and mums household.
tahnee - Yay Isabelle, rolling & rolling!!
tashaz, sorry to hear about your bad experience with lucy's needles!
Us...well, my OH has asked me to not post anything about us on here due to some nastiness IRL, however you're all more than welcome to add me on Facebook, as most of you already have. I'm Jasmine Holmes on there.
how do I know which jasmine holmes you are? There are a few on there. I'm very new to facebook so maybe I just don't understand it very well.
For any of you interested in having me my name is Yvonne M i l l e r (without the spaces in my last name). My pictue is me holding Chloe
wearing a red jacket and black t-shirt with Chloe is in a bunny rug.
Would love to have any of you as my firneds on there too!
As you can probably guess I'm feeling a fair bit better right now. It's nice to know I'm not alone with the way i'm often feeling - although I wouldn't wish this on any of you. My moods so come and go so frequently
I figure I will try really hard to be patient with the kids. if I get really stressed with them, I will try to take a deep breath and them deal with it.
Since expressing how i was feeling this morning I've felt a fair bit better. I guess it really does help to get it out. And I've been trying really hard to be calm too, I need to keep things in perspective I guess, try not to worry abou the little things.
My sisters coming over soon with her boys and I might have a bit of a chat with her as she is a psychologist and is actually soon starting a job at a hospital couselling women pre and post-natally - i think she could have some really good advice for me.
I also have someone close ot me who has gone through PND and helps run a support group for PND so I will have a chat to her - have spoken in e-mail but not in real life as yet.
Anyway, must go , my sisters just arrived.
:hugs::hugs::hugs: to all of you who are feeling down....

hey girls... I cant believe what great support we give eachother... I have just come home and read everything. I agree with what everyone has said and I have also been on abit of an emotional rollercoaster lately. last night I told my hubby that I just about had enough of him, its like he goes out of his way to **** me off then his excuse is that he is just not cut out to be a father.
I am also going to given my self 1 month to get in a better head space, I feel much better now that aiden is sleeping through... its amazing what a few extra hrs can fix
Im still loving my new pram... it folds soooo easily... it even folds with the extra seat!
yvonne... ill try to find u on face book... hope your friend can help u out and point u in the right direction
hmmm I have the angel care monitor... aiden is crying but its not picking it up????

Hi Girls,
On the subject of facebook, Yvonne i can't find you, there are like 8 pages of yvonne millers lol. My name on Facebook is Catherine Stewart, if you want to find me, i know alot of you are in my friends list already.
Well Bailey passed his hearing test yesterday with flying colors, everything that he failed on Monday he passed yesterday which was great, one less thing for me to worry about.
Yvonne it is only natural to yell at your kids, reward them if they behave and feel like you don't spend enough time with them. I know i feel like as a mother of 3 boys i feel all of the above. I too appear to be constantly on the go lately and am hoping things settle down next year when Blaze starts school.
I had Talon's photo taken with Santa today, i can pick the photo up tomorrow, i can't believe i stood in line for a hour, my older 2 boys won't go anywhere near Santa, they love him but would prefer to look from a distance.
We also had Blaze's daycare graduation today, he went all silly and started showing off, this is the case cause he is a shy kid and doesn't know how to express his feelings so when he feels shy his immediate reaction is to go all silly, he clings to me in new places usually or when a place (like his daycare room) is very crowded, i was like this when i was little too.
Well all my christmas cards are sent out, annual letter written, now all i need to do is find time for christmas baking and wrapping of presents lol. I was going to bake with the kids but i just don't know when, maybe this weekend ?
Talon is still doing very well, he is reaching all his milestones, they said at community health on Monday to hold out on solids till as close to 6 months as possible, so i guess i will just watch for signs that he is ready and while he is loving just breast i will take advantage of this. He has been asleep on floor in lounge room for about 2 hours now, longest sleep he has had all day, i just hope that he sleeps ok still tonight.
Anyway i am going to keep moving and get my kids some dinner, leftovers from last nights curry.
Have a good night girls.

LOL, Yvonne, I've found you and sent you a friend request...I forgot to mention, that I'm about the only one who isn't African-American...lol
My pic is myself with Charlie :cloud9:
Sounds like you're having a better day :)
Alina, sorry to hear about your troubles with your DH :hugs: I guess, as mothers, we assume that men can 'do' what we can with the bubbas, although they feel completely helpless (and don't tend to vocalise it)
Catherine, you sound very busy (and organised!!) best of luck finding time to bake with your kids, isn't it so rewarding to see the look on their faces!
Oh, dear, Lisa! I'd go by the old addage, a child will never starve themselves (keep offering and she'll eventually be too hungry to refuse) but personally don't have any experience...I guess call your CHN?
ok i will try to find u girls on facebook......
:hissy::hissy:one of my friends twins died:hissy::hissy:and the other one is still hanging on but only by a thread:crying::crying: (it's the mum from school whose twins came at 24 wks....)
this said...I am so grateful for my gorgeous girls......can't even put it into words.....
Plus..DD1 brought school report home....and I didn't even want to look at it, cause I am just so happy today that I have a child healthy enough to go to school....who cares about the marks......but she did very well, all great marks so I will take her out on sat to celebrate....
ok I found Jasmine and Yvonne, but can't find catherine ...help please....anyone else wants to join....won't give you my name because there would be 100's with my name...so common.....pm me is you;d like to be on mine please

hey everyone,
how are you all doing?
you can add me anyone who already havent. i'm ashley edgar and my picture is kailee in a blue shirt. i found yvonne but i cant find catherine either.
we have had a good week so far but because i went back to work 3 days a week last week, i'm buggered!!! i'm at home alone tonight as DH is at hockey so i have put Kailee to bed and had some dinner and now i'm just checking in before bed.
we started kailee on apple on monday and she wasnt too keen on it at first but now she likes it. and then last night we tried her on pumpkin and let me tell you she did not let one drop out of her mouth. lol.
sorry for no personals tonigh i'm just so tired and i have one more day at work tomorrow. but i will say that all you ladies sound like fantastic mothers and we all come to our breaking points sometimes but that doesnt change the fact that we love our kids more then we would ever be able to love anything and anyone else!
night ladies,
xoxo
hey ladies, I will try and be quick as it's late nd I need my sleep.
Thanks to those ladies who have become my firends on facebook! I found catherine through Claire's homepage, but you can look up mine under friends and she will hopefully be on there soon.
Had a chat to the person who helps run a PND support group. It was so good to. She ran through the same test as what the MCH nurse does. I think last time I scored a 7/30 - that was when Chloe was 3 months old - up to 10 is normal, above 13 indicates you may have depression, this time I scored 18/30 and one question I couldn't really answer so possibly my score could have been higher.
She has suggested I go see my GP to have a chat. So I will ring up tomorrow to see. One of the things in the test was that it asks you to think over the opast 7 days, not justhow you are feeling at the time. As I was feeling pretty good at the time of doing the test, I thought thatI would come out ok, but being honest about how I sometimes am feeling showed up that there may be an issue.
Was really good to get it all out to someone I can completely trust.
She is also someone who knows me extremely well and she gave me alot of encouragment and a listening ear.
I guess that because I'm sometimes feeeling fine, that i have thought maybe I'm just tired...but not that something may be wrong.
It's also interesting that when talking to my dh tonight about the conversation I had with her, he said he's wondered now if perhaps I've had it at other times, when I've been pregnant and also after the other kids as I can be very emotional and irrational sometimes......made me think perhaps I did, but I hadn't realised that it could have been. Toward's the end of my pregnancy with Chloe I stuggled so much, but I thought it was just being pregnant...maybe not.
Anyway, I'll have a chat to my gp and go from there.
even just talking about it with her, and you guys makes me feel a but better. Thankyou so much for your support.
i also feel a bit selfish now though after hearing about ellie's friend - it made me cry....so very sad.. I couldn't imagine the pain and grief they must be feeling,,,and the thought that they could also lose the other one too - so heartbraking for them....makes me feel like my problems are nothing...
:hugs: to any of you needing them....
Hi girls...
Wow...I have just read all the posts since my last...and I am touched...
My thoughts are with you all and it has touched a chord with me...
I too have the same worries and have in the past suffered from PTSD, Bipolar, & PND...I left home at 15 due to abuse and moved 600 klms away, to a new state, and have been independant since...supremely hard on a support level...
It is a constant battle and I have had very little family support...my mum to this day has yet to see Jayda and she is 4.5 mo...my dad will never be allowed to see her... but I am so determined to make her upbringing better than mine. I am glad to say that my DP's family more than makes up for the lack of support from mine...they are beautiful and Jayda is so loved.
Me, well...I often feel duped, but you can't change family can you...?
On a positive note the depression gets better with time and being able to see the signs, and knowing what to do to make yourself feel better is a positive sign. Being able to see the bigger picture is the important thing! I have a beautiful daughter that absolutely adores me, so to me SHE is the most important thing in the world for me from now on!
:cloud9:
All you girls, keep your chin up, the world is what we make it!
:hugs:

Hi All,
I've been awake since 4:30am thanks to lovely Chloe so I'm half asleep and will make personals real quick.
Ellie - :hugs::hugs: so so sorry for your friends loss, I really hope that the other twin is strong enough to survive.
Ashley - Your amazing for going back to work already, the thought of this still scares me. What type of work do you do?
Yvonne - Glad you will be seeing GP and feel a little better in your self for at least venting & taking those first few steps.
Jolenje - Sorry to hear about your past family issues (I left home at 16 so I kinda know what you mean though my family and I have since reconciled it took quite a few years), so glad you have your DH and his family to provide you support now.
Sorry to anyone I missed, however a big HI , will try and pop back in later today for more.
Also awesome that so many of us are now linked up on facebook to share photos & videos now .

im here 2... been up since 5:30, gave aiden 2 boobies he smiled and went back to sleep ... how many hrs are u getting at night. Im pushing 7 hrs finally
I was planing on walking to the local shops but it looks cloudy and windy... I just wanna take my pram out! Im like a little girl with a new bike... U are at home or living out of your pram and nappy bag
ellie... that us terrible news, I can only imagine what heart ache that mum is going through.. it breaks my heart now even more that I have aiden when I hear of mums loosing a child.... at work I was able to disconnect my self from unwell newborns, babies and children and their families greif... but now that I have aiden I reckon I would be a complete mess at work everyday... :fingerscrossed: twin 2 will pull through.
yvonne... glad to hear that your friend has pointed u in the right direction, its so good that u are getting help. My mum had PND and she is they best mum in the world!!!
jo... Gee u must be a really strong woman to have to grow up soooooooo quickly wow You have really worked hard to get where u are now...sounds like everything is falling into place for u now with your happy little family.
Facebook... Im on there 2 I have bambi, yvonne, monique, catherine, claire, ashley, and a few others if u wanna check out my page and steel my friends:laughing:... I have a unique name so Im easy to find Alina Van Der Voodren is me:p
cheezles... how is piper today???? I agree with what the other girls + if u are concerned or she is not passing 6+ nappies is lethargic... u should pop into your gp or ED as it might not just be teething.... children that are sick especially when they are little not always have a fever when they are little....
another trick I used at work was giving them their fluids buy syringe. it ends up being a little game (mainly for the older babies)
well thats me for the morning

Hi there everyone,
Feel free to put me on facebook too.. ALthough I am slack with photos, there is only me and hubby on it so far...paula watkins
ellie - I am so sorry to hear about your friends baby. I hope the other little one pulls through.
I won't do anymore personals at the moment as I am now inspired to add photos of my adorable kidlets on facebook so you can see how darn cute they are.....
:wave:hi everyone
I've got an appointment for the doctor on tuesday....he has actually squeezed me in, wasn't going to be able to see him until the monday after christmas, but when I told the receptionisrt what the problem was he made sure i could see. He did have a time today, but dh will be at work and both of us wanted for him to be there.
I must admit I feel a bit relieved that this may be being sorted out...
But then again, I'm having a reasonable day so then I think I must be over reacting....our minds are strange things aren't they.
Anyway better go, hoping to take the kids for a walk....
just had to say...yvonne I really hope it helps.....will be thinking of u

Don't get much time on BH anymore, spend too much time on FB when I don't have a Little E in my arms and manage to get some time on the computer.
yvonne - :hugs:good luck with the Dr, hope you get the assistance that you need. PND sucks big time
things are crazy here, Little E is refusing to have more than 20-30 min naps once or twice a day and getting him to sleep at night is proving to be a nightmare... he has spent most of the afternoon screaming and nothing I could do could calm him down... :hair: good thing he is so damn cute!
better go, little man is awake again...

Hi everyone,
Thanks to those who added me on facebook. I logged on and had all these requests, I felt so popular and loved lol :p It's nice to be able to put faces to names now too.
Tarabell - I have had the same problem with Iz for the last 3 days. She just cries and cries around 6pm for around 30-40mins and nothing i do will settle her. Once she's asleep though, she's pretty good. She also has only been having little naps in the day, around 20-30mins so that may be why. I heard somewhere that if they don't get good sleeps in the day, then it can effect their night sleep.
Lyglc - I hope the docs goes well next week for you. I will be thinking of you :hugs:
babyedgar - Hi:wave:
Anyway, i better go. We just got back from my nephews 4th bday. DS was playign with their new slot car set for ages (so was DF lol). I feel so drained now so I think I will go grab a spot on the lounge and watch some good ole tv. Have a good night everyone.
Rydens Mummy
18-12-2008, 21:51
Hi girls,
Facebook is really taking off with us August mummies.
On another note, im a bit releived that Ryden is the only baby that is being difficult to get to bed of a night. As you said lucky they are cute. The last 2 weeks i recon on average he would scream for 2 hours, if i walk in he smiles i walk out he screems. Today has been the best day, he may have got the idea that when mummy puts him to bed that where he is going to stay. Because he only cried for 10 mins and gave up. And he never argued any of his day sleeps , not even a sound and sleep for 2 hours for both sleeps. And had a few cat naps during the day aswel.
Well best go and have a look at facebook, then do some house work
Stacey
If anyone else wants to be a friend on face book feel free to look me up my name is
Stacey Cook and my profile pic is of Ryden and youcan just see his red outfit.

Hannah got her first 2 teeth at 4 1/2 mths so no really too early. I know someone whose little one got them at 8wks.
As for unsettled bubs - for the last 2 days sean has been screaming when he gets tired. It is a scream like he is pain and nothing will settle him until he falls asleep and then he is fine???
Hi to everyone must go - We are off to the Wiggles today and I have to make sure my house is cleaned, washing done before then!!
Charlotte & Georgia's Mummy
19-12-2008, 08:55
Hi all,
2girls-have fun at the wiggles!!! DH took C this year, I was bummed as I had great seats 7 rows from the stage, 2 in from the aisle! I think I was more excited than them when i found out murray ran past them!
I've left it too long to really tyr and do personals for everyone else............I'm really sorry.
And it'll probably get worse in the next 3 weeks........we're heading away this arvo for a few days before xmas, then it's xmas and we're going away again until new years prob.
Other news for us.........G started rolling back to front on Tues, had her needles yesterday, is now 6.7kg (C was 7.07kg at 6 mths!!!) and still sleeping beautifully o/night.
C is still seeing speech path, having issues with stuttering still, and now has an ear infection/blockage after having a cold for 2 weeks! So off to the GP again today, after telling him I hope to not see him again before xmas yesterday!!!
Better run, need to have a shower and get ready for GP appt.
Cya girls, I'll try better next time!
PS If you'd like to add me to your facebook page my name is Michele McDonald and my profile pic is the same as the one on bubhub. I've tried to find a few of you, but can't remember real names, and I'm a bit unsure if I've found the right profiles???

maybe we should all just quit bub hub and move to face book!... we are being over taken by another month  I wonder why december 2008 got their own thread... but the again its nice to see what the other months around us are doing:p
aiden is having a sleep marathon
went to sleep at
9pm for 8.5 hrs
6am for 1.5hrs
930 and he is still sleeping (its 1130:sleeping:)
he has also been abit more unsettled at dinner time... ray has been to busy to bath him latley so maybe that will settle him... he occasionally fights sleep, but I just put him down and he burrows into the matrice... kinda on his side leaning towards his tummy.
having a busy weekend so ill prob be MIA:laughing: have a street party, a 1st parth then a few of my close friends are coming over on sunday with their kiddiewinks... then im off to mum and dads with the dogs and ray (cant forget him) for about 2 weeks.... I cant wait to have a little nappy break... my mum rocks in that department.
:chef:I had a cookie athon last afternoon.... I have bunched them all up and im going to deliver them to some of my fav neighbours.... Im gunna dress aiden in his santa suit and his pram can be his sleigh.... if only the dogs where not so crazy... they could have been the raindeers
teething.... I think aidens may also be moving around... he was giving his teething toy a really hard time, I tried some bonjella and he screamed MURDER.... he will just have to learn to deal with it then
cheezles.... how is piper???? I really hope it was just a 24hr thing
Yvonne... how u doing???
well im off.... I have soo much to do... who ever said that being a SAHM involved sitting on the couch all day.

hello hello,
wow we are going crazy with facebook! i wonder if there is any way to create a August bubhub group on facebook itself??? i dunno... ive got a few of you on mine, if anyone else wants to add me its Hayley Kritsotakis (im pretty sure im the only one, if not my photo is my wedding photo with pink flowers in the background...)
im stressing a little bit about my hair appointment tomorrow, im leaving E with DH but he will not take a bottle and goes absolutely psycho when hes away from me, i thought DH was exagerating but i saw it with my own eyes last week when i got home in the middle of ethans psycho-fit, and i feel very sorry for both Dh and ethan....
i think the problem is ethan has his little routine when he goes to sleep and daddy doesnt do it exactly the same so ethan gets overtired and goes crazy! :(
Strangely enough DH wants another baby NOW! we were planning on only having the 2 but Ethan is such an easy baby (either that or i know what im doing more this time around) that ive been thinking i could go another, now DH wants another one for the same reason, but he doesnt want to wait, he wants me UTD again NOW!!! geez give me some time to recover from being pregnant the last time!!! LOL
lianas1stbub - wow cant believe aidans sleep!!! maybe hes having a growth spurt or something??
C&G - enjoy your time away before xmas!!!
moly - i have been wondering the same thing, maybe E is teething because hes dribbling heaps and heaps and has had the runs on and off for the last few days. my DS1 didnt get any teeth until he was 8 months, so i would be surprised if E got them this early tho. i guess all babies are different arent they?!
a big HELLO to everyone else, just wanted to pop on and say hi!!!
My little niece turns 1 today, so were going over later to see her, have to get the boys organised when they wake up. man i love that they have their arvo naps at the same time!!!
And for those of you that are battling PND, if you havent already, definitely get help. it is horrible feeling so depressed, especially when you have a beautiful little baby that you should be able to enjoy.
I had severe PND with DS1 and i still feel that i missed out on the first 3 months of his life (wasnt diagnosed and medicated until he was 3 months old). I was 28/30 and was suicidal and was absolutely terrified of having it again this time. Dont be afraid of going on medication if you need it, it makes the world of difference. :hugs::hugs::hugs: to you all xoxox
hope you all have a great weekend!
well...Bianca has been waking up at 11pm everynight for a feed....fingers crossed she stays with that program as I am enjoying a glass of wine right now, and if she wakes up earlier...she will get some too....lol...
Hope evryone is having a great night..what a busy time of the year....
Anyway....sleeping....Bianca ususally falls asleep on the bed (cuddling to me)next to the cot...and once she has slept for a bit, I transfer her into her cot....probably not a great idea, but I am just so emotional, I just want to cuddle her....:bee:
Molly...teething can deffinately happen at this age, DD1 had teeth by 4 mnths, but Bianca ....something is happening but no teeth have cut through yet...
Ok, I will go for now...to all of you with x-mas parties and holidays......MERRY CHRISTMASS, AND HAPPY NEW YEAR....HAVE A GREAT TIME AND BE SAFE!!!!!:xmastree::reindeer::noel:

Hayley...check your FB group invitations... ;)
Wow, that sure is one heck of a clucky hubby!!
I have no advice about leaving Ethan with your hubby...I've never left any of my babies :o, I find it easier to either just take them with me to whatever appointment, or not bother.
My poor physiotherapist when I had my oldest DD!!
Yay for the sleep-athon, Alina! Hope he keeps it up! Sounds like you have a jam-packed weekend ahead of you! Poor Aiden with his teeth :( there are some alternative (naturopathic) teething gels and other concoctions you could try..?
Michele, sounds like you mightn't see this - busy, busy!! But I've added you to my FB and well, I think I have everyone on mine so can send you 'friend suggestions' ...how very "babysitters club" lol!
2girls, how was the Wiggles? We've been to Hi5 a few times, and to the Hooley Dooleys.
Hi moly! It could be...I guess you could treat the symptoms for teething, and if she seems to be relieved then it's a pretty fair assumption. Some babies teeth for AGES before a tooth actually cuts through the gum.
Hi Tahnee, great to see you on Facebook! Yeah, 'sleep promotes sleep' ...you would think, after a day of fussing they would exhaust themselves, but no, just make themselves overtired and even harder to fall asleep.
Hey Tara, :hugs:...let me know if you'd like that book I told you about, I have both copies just sitting here.
Yvonne, good to hear that you've got that appointment booked! It can be quite tempting to cancel the appointment when you're feeling like you're having a good day, but do make sure you go along, even just to have a chat and assess your options, KWIM?
jolenje, I am sorry to hear you have had to deal with so much ****, you sound like an aswesome mother, and its great to hear you're going to give Jayda everything (and more) you missed out on! Great to hear you have a support network in your DP's family.
I'm going to leave it there, and make the most of my moment of peace - all 4 of my charges are in bed. It's been a full-on day 'round here!!
must be quick, had a pretty busy day, but generally ok, after a bit of shaky morning...
Teeth - Chloe is gettign 4 - her gums have started seperating - the 4 bottom teeth. The middle 2 are so close ot coming through - you can see them and the gum is all bubbled where they are...shouldn't be too long I hope - plus she is dribbling like crazy - she will go through a bub in a couple of hours will her drool.
I hoping that she will get her teethbefore Christmas...."All I want for christmas is my two front teeth!!!"
sorry to hear any of you having a hard time...must go...shat later.
only 6 sleeps until christmas!!!!

Good morning everyone,
After such a hot day yesterday, it seems today may be cooler. There is a really nice breeze at the moment so I might take the kiddies out for a walk if it doesn't get too hot.
jolenje - I have just added you to my facebook friends (Hopefully it was you lol)
Lyglc - Isabelle has 4 on the bottom that look close to coming through too
Sorry for lack of personals, gotta go deal with the kiddies now.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi Girls,
Quick pop-in from me. Posted in our facebook group earlier and thought I better post here too :)
Well last night had my work function, my manager told me there are a few jobs that maybe coming up next year and around early January she will be advertising a full-time position, contemplating applying for this and my DH might be a stay at home dad for a little while, we'll see what happens I feel a bit sick thinking about leaving Chloe though even if she with her dad its not the same.
Speaking of sick, I can't believe how ill I was after having only 3 wines last night, I was a little tipsy and not really drunk but I definitely paid for it this morning :barf:.
Will try and pop back in later for more personals.

Hi girls...well I took DD1 out today to a play centre (her choice) as a reward for a great school report...she had a great time, and Bianca was so excited when we got there...I thougt she was going to have a fit ....she screamed so loud that she was louder than all the screeming kids at the play centre...lol...we deffinately have a good voice box in this little one!!!!
Hope everyone has a great night...Binaca is stirring...better go
Hi everyone, no time for personals , just popping in to say hi
I have maybe had about 9 hours sleep in the last 72 hours, Jade just will not sleep, day or night, just having a catnap here and there :(. She is happy enough if someone is with her, she is biting into everything and everyone, i am going through up to 3 bibs in an hour due to the dribble, so am washing flat out, I am having alot of trouble getting her to drink her bottle's cause her gums are too sore, hopefully her teeth will either hurry and break through or give us a break for a bit.. i NEED  I am like a zombie at the moment, and still have chrissy shopping to do ....
Well thats it for me, have photographer coming to take pics of Jade this am, I hope everyone is well....
hi ladies,
Ellie - glad everyone had fun at the play centre. Bianca sound very cute!
thth - hope that Jade is improving - it sounds like it is difficu;t at the moment.

22-12-2008, 15:11
Good afternoon girls,
Sorry to hear some of you arnt feeling yourselves at the moment, hope you feel better soon.
As some of you are aware, ive been having some trouble getting Ryden to sleep of a night, a bit of trouble is an understatement. i have to listen to 2 hours of constant screeming and carry on before he is asleep(no mater what time he goes to bed), once a sleep he is fine, even his day sleeps have gone horrible. Well last night after carols, the normal ight time routine begins with bottle, bed then screem. After 5 mis i thought maybe he might have a form of seperation anxiety (sp), and i gave him one of my Tshirt i had worn that day, he wrapped his arms around it, rubbed it up against his face and within half a second he was asleep. Out cold, never woke again until 6am (which is normal) this is when i would give him a bottle, but instead i gave him back my tshirt and he went back to sleep until 9am. Wow for the last month i have had to listen to him screem, nearly wanted to cry for him, and all he want was my tshirt.
So today while finishing the little bit of xmas shopping, i searched the country side for one of those blanket confortors with the little teddy on it, i finnally found one and currently have it stuffed down my bra, so hopefully tonight it will smell enough like me and take it to bed, instead of a smell dirty tshirt, which probably isnt really safe considering he puts it over his head. He is now asleep with my tshirt until his new blanky is smelly enough.
Stacey I will try this .....what a great idea..well done!!!
Hi everyone,
Just a quick stop in tonight, i am buggered, had my DS's b'day party today...
Well Jade seems to have sorted/gotten over whatever was going on, back to sleeping through the night :fingerscrossed:. She is now rolling everywhere, and she can get herself back over aswell, so the tantrums have stopped.. She has finally decided that baths are fun  and no more screaming..
Well thats it for me, time for bed, got the last minute christmas shopping to do tomorrow
Well i hope you all have a fantastic christmas :xmastree:.. Take care and stay safe and well...
thth - sounds like jade is going really well.
Chloe still isn't rolling....she'll roll from her back onto her side and that's about it.
She seems to have dropped her last feeed now too. She's having her last feed around 8:30, is then pretty unsettled for a little while, we then usually rock her off to sleep in our arms (this is really the only time we do it, during the day she will usually go to her cot still awake and puts herself to sleep). Then she'll go down for her night sleep..the last 2 nights she's done this and slept a full 12 hours....Hope this continues and then I might get to sleep a bit earlier.
Tonight it's late, but I've out a bike together - it's all finished, wrapped up all the presents, including the ones for their stockings. We use panty hose - i did this as a kids and it was so much fun trying to get the presents out of them (did use a pillowslip one year and it was no where near the fun, plus you can hold the stockign by the top and drag it along behind you when taking it to your parents room). So after finding out secrets from my mum last year about how they stuffed the stockings without us hearing...she said they had spare ones with the presents already in and then just swapped them over - very clever...so all the kids stocking presents are already in the stockings just waiting to be swapped over for the empty ones too.
OH thth - are you on facebook as we are probably chatting more in there than on here now.
Take care everyone..
How are you guys chatting on Facebook? Perhaps if I join you there, I might chat to you all more regularly.. Because I'm on Facebook most of the day with my iPhone.

I have to agree though I am addicted the facebook the chat section/group is a little annoying to write in due to character limit.
Though its nice to be able to create threads on there for our group only (I don't think I've created on on here due to fear of opinionated debates from some bub hub members not necessarily from our birth group :o).

I have to admit I don't like the chat section on Facebook - I find it quite hard too read. I much prefer it on here as you can :ecomcity: as much as you need and you are able to use as many :) as you want!
But I do love the discussion topics section and also the photos section on FB.
Anyhoo....I really should be in bed. Zaydy has been asleep since 8:45pm but I just can't sleep. DH is on night shift and normally I don't have a problem sleeping on my own (I usually just  as soon as my head hits the pillow) but I am finding it very hard tonight. Oh well I might go read my new book.
Hope everyone is well!

Oh wells we can still keep this thread alive by chatting occasionally .
Claire - I know the feeling I went to bed last night real late (1am) as we were tidying the house & making salads for our bbq today, but I was restless til 3am when I heard Chloe grumbling (she just needed rewrapping and slept til 7am), then kept tossing and turning and ended up out on the couch so I wouldn't disturb DH (was dejavu of my insomnia pregnant days) so I only got about 3-4hrs sleep last night doh!
I had trouble getting to sleep last night too, ended up changing my pj's as I was a bit hot and that helped!
Michelle - hope your bbq goes ok today and you're not too tired.
claire - hope you endedup gettign some sleep!

Not sure if this would work for you but when I go to bed, I usually put some headphones on(only in one ear so I dont strangle myself lol) and listen to the radio on my phone. Everytime I wake up, I can never remember the second song that played so I guess I fall asleep pretty early. I hope you get some sleep soon.

Lunawolfspirit - I've been similar last few nights, suffering from insomnia however I suspect this is due to having a bit of caffeine of late (coke, chocolate and v drinks), perhaps this is the cause?
Hi August mummies :)
Yay! able to be online for more than a few minutes at a time...we managed to finally get a replacement for our stolen laptop.
Little O, is not so little now. Almost 5 months, and almost crawling, he gets up on his knees and sometimes shunts himself forward, mostly backward though.
M is still going through the terrible twos, which unfortunately for her/me are being not dealt with particularly well, as pretty sure I have PND. Going to the doctor next week, so will probably get my diagnosis then.
Looks as though you've all defected to Faceboook...that's okay, it's pretty addictive. If anyone wants to add me I'm Kristy M e ll or, and my profile pic is myself with a crown and apple - fancy dress.
Take care.
Kristy :)
Im Laura and just trying to find my way around this forum at the moment so please be patient with me
i have a 5 month old girl, and i work part-time so i dont get online much inless i have a chance to sneak at work, or when Addison is asleep.
This is my first baby so i need some advice, are all your babies going through a clingy stage?.. wasnt sure where to post this.. and i thought it might be best to ask mothers with babies roughly the same age?
I cant find any information online about a 5 month clingy stage .. It is driving me insane, She wont let me put her down when she is awake and if i do put her down she screams till i give in and pick her up. Im not able to get any housework done, the dishes are accumalating the laundry is a mess.. My house is a mess.. Im a mess...
I have my hands full with Addison, the housework, the cooking, and now i have had to go back to work and i dont get a moments rest there.
I feel so emtionally drained, When does it get any easier.
My partner is no help, He works all the time to pay the mortgage and when he is home he is exhausted also.
I feel like im failing as a mother and a wife at the moment. :crying:, as woman are we not meant to be able to handle all these things.
Hi Laura,
First of all, welcome and congrats on your little girl, Addison.
You are definitely not failing as a mother or wife, it's easy for things to get on top of us, when we have a little one demanding our attention all the time.
As for your partner, its a good thing he is doing working to pay off the mortgage, but imo that doesn't let him off the hook when he comes home. You are obviously exhausted too, and especially if you return to work, you need to share out some of the responsibilities. Even if he could just do the dishes, or to give you a mini-break hold the baby for you, while you do a quick tidy.
For us, I think the difficulty around this age lies in Oliver's frustration. At least it seems that way at the moment. He wants to be on the move, but is becoming easily frustrated because his little body just won't cooperate. But then I find when I pick him up he is struggling too, because he wants to get moving again. So he isn't being clingy, but isn't really allowing me to get a lot done at the moment either.
The only thing I could suggest is a sling of some kind...that way Addison can still be with you, but will certainly allow you to get around and do some things.
Anyways Laura a big welcome to bubhub, and look forward to hearing all about your little girl.
Kristy :)

Luna... I have the same sleep issue, My body clock is sooooo outa wack possibly from doing shift work... I find that aidens sleep routine helps me feel sleepy. I usually hum him a song because I cant sing and rock him to sleep and just as he dozes of I put him down... I actually took some valium the other night because I was sooooo frustrated (+ had family issues that where ****ing me off).
Im actually thinking of having a chat to my gp when I see him next regarding my sleep issues and anxiety because that plays alot in me not sleeping
aiden is doing well he rolled from bellie to back YEAH he has been close for soooo long, I think his bellie gets in the way!

Hi everyone
Ebbarr - welcome laura , we are a bit quieter here now as Facebook is the latest trend so don't feel disheartened if we don't respond immediately.
Sean is 5mths on 13th and he is more going through a don't put me down stage. In saying that he really doesn't like me leaving the room but is still very happy to go to other people. Have you tried putting her in a bouncy or swing(if you have one) and taking her from room to room with you while you get things done?? This worked with my first as she liked me talking to her as I went along and got things done.
You have a lot on your plate with going back to work and a partner that is working a lot and not really helping at home. You are not failing as a mum and as women we put too much pressure on ourselves to do everything and be everything to everyone. :hugs: these are for you and remember you can come on here anytime and vent.
liana - :smiliedance: for aiden and his rolling.
M & O - I know all about the terrible 2's Hannah is going through them too and boy can she be demanding. Some days she is so good and other days I swear I could give her away!!!!
Me - well Sean is starting to get that whole rocking thing going and looks so close to crawling it is quite shocking. I want him to slow down a bit. He also has started this funny little growling thing. Whenever the girls talk to him he really growls at them and laughs. It is so very cute.
Hope everyone else is doing well and comes back in here to chat sometimes.

Sorry I haven't been posting much ladies, we are currently planning our wedding in september which is so exciting. I've been missing my daily dose of bubhub though:(.
2girlssofar - Isabelle is rocking too, i'm so proud of her. Today she even pulled herself forward along the floor instead of going round in circles or rolling lol. Not long before she crawls, she just wants to get up and go.
lianas1stbub - Congrats on Aiden rolling :smiliedance:
M&O - Sounds like Oliver just wants to get moving like Isabelle. Isabelle gets frustrated when she can't move as well.
Laura - Hi, welcome to bubhub . You are certainly not failing as a mum. You sound like a super mum. Working, doing housework and looking after bubs, thats a lot to handle. I remember when I had my first, I had a couple of break downs where I just didn't feel good enough but I got through and you will too. Do you have a support network around you, like parents, siblings etc? As for the clingy stage, how good is Addison's next support? Do you have a walker you could try her in? I bought Isabelle one for xmas and she loves it. I had a cloth stuffed down the front of her at first for a bitmore stability but now she sits up better so I don't need it. I also make sure her feet are touching the floor in it so she thinks she is standing.

hey every one
just a quick post from me.
thanks for the people who have responded =)
im am going to try the phone radio trick, knowing me i will stay up all night trying to guess what song comes on next lol.
reading is a no go cause i just have to finish the book, and i am no good to anyone if i pick up a book and i like it lol.
before i was ever considering having a family i suffered with anxiety, depression and the one where u cant leave the house. so i can say i have been on alot of different meds, they dont have much effect on me beside i turn in to a zombie and still no sleep. so meds will not be an option for me.
i dont have caffine in my diet ...im not on a diet i just dont drink coke or coffee and hardly ever have chocy in the house, i dont have much sugar cause i drink diet soft drinks and once again i dont add it to anything so yeah ...i sound like a health nut but im not lol.
i guess i am just doomed to be nocturnal.
alina, i bet you are so happy with ur little man and his achivements. ellie is rolling around all over the place i put her on her back on the play gym and she will roll her self off it.
Laura - Hi, welcome to bubhub, i dont have any advice for you but i just wanted to say welcome to the group
Just a quick one from me tonight im
I do pop her in her bouncer but she still cries.. i never thought about moving it from room to room with me.. Will defiantly try that tomorrow.. She loves when i sing so maybe if i put the radio on and sing while i do the housework with her in room (in the bouncer), she will be more content out of my arms.:fingerscrossed:
Don'T really have a family support system around me, Its not that they don't care, they are all just busy with their own lives.
I feel bad about asking my partner to help out more.. He works so hard and i love him so much. I don't think he really sees how much im struggling, i tend to put on a brave face and hide it from him.
:no:Not a fan of slings i do have one but have found i lean to one side and it hurts my back and shoulders.
luna wolf spirit what book are you reading, i haven't had a chance to pick up a book since well a long time.

I just got back from shopping at the bay... wanted to check out what was left from the sales... not much :no:but I always manage to find a bargain! got a few size singlet suits from target... I love target but they favour girls over boys clother... it sucks in that department.
I cant understand how a box (90) of crawler nappies can be on sale at target for $40 then at coles for $39 because I swear I have got them for as cheep as $28 and $32! (at big W and franklins!) hmm maybe Im wrong... whats the cheapest u have got them for

and I have a huge vent that Im going to share with the whole of BH! (I like the privacy of FB)
aiden had a massive teething epi last night... he just couldnt get his teether to the right spot and was getting sooooooo frustrated and cried and cried which is totally not like him. I gave him a dose of paracetamol and he ended up going to bed at 8pm with a spewie top and no bath and a wet nappy because everytime I put him him down he would scream (my poor bubba)... any way at 1030 I gave him a dream feed and changed his soiled clothes (against advice of my lovely fam and DH) because I wouldnt like to sleep all yucky... then at 3am aiden woke and ray picked him up pretty much straight away! ahhhhhhhh I have shown him what to do on numerious occasions (I have been doing a 3 step re settling thing) so in the end I had to feed him and re settle him while ray went to the loo and settled himselfback to sleep.... then the same thing happened at 6 ahhhhhh I feel like all my hard work is going to be undone... Im so upset and annoyed! I think I am lucky to have slept 5hr compared to my DH 10hrs!... and to make things worse I moved to the spare room only to be stalked by a hungry mossie.... ANYONE ELSE WANNA EAT ME! at least I can laught about it now, because DH is sleeping in that room now ha ha ha:laughing::laughing::laughing:!
ah I feel better... but I just wanna sleep!

Alina - :hugs: It's no good when your routine gets stuffed up. I have a routine with DS for bed and DP has just started wanting a part in it and now since it's changed, DS wakes up around 2 every morning and comes into our bed:hair:. With DS and DD eventually in the bed, DP gets pushed out to the lounge haha. I guess thats what he gets for messing with the routine :shame:
Omg you girls have got it all sorted we haven't even managed to get a routine going:(
Its so hot here today, We took Addy to the pool. She really did love it, she really is a water baby, just like her daddy.:cloud9:

Today is a scorcher here in adelaide, meant to get to 41 degrees (its now 37), I was going to go jump on the treadmill to do some exercise but I suspect my shed will be about 50 degrees so I better not.
Ebarr - Hi, I'm another one that has defected to facebook. Facebook I find is used by a wide range of people, the youngens (a lot of teens) tend to love myspace, whereas a lot of my friends (around late twenties) and family including my dad and MIL also use facebook (their in their 50's) so its for a variety of ages.
Alina - Chloe has been in Crawler for about 2-3 weeks now and we buy these in bulk from the Nappyland website. I think their in different states and come in boxes of 120.
Now people are posting in here again I'll try and make more of an effort. Been lurking on BH mainly in the weightloss section, plus Chloe doesn't always give me the chance to post.

Oh, wow...we're still going in here!
Well my computer has committed suicide, actually I think it was a terrorist attack...so barely anything is working, and the things which are working, are doing it really oddly.
My Facebook isn't working.
Hope I can fix it, cus I have a few pretty important documents and programs on my computer which I can't retrieve.
Hi Laura, welcome!
Luna, I am the complete opposite of you - my weakness for sure is caffeine...can't function properly without it.
(((hugs)) Laura, hope your bubba has been a bit more settled for you, we all have our moments and find it helps to vent a bit in here and bounce ideas off one another.
Alina, sorry to hear about Aiden being unsettled, hope he's a bit more settled lately?

Im at work so just quick one from me
lianas1stbub, I know how you are feeling. i wish we could afford for me to stay home with Addison, But we cant. She was not planed and we are not exactly financial secure. We were planing children but later on once we had the mortgage paid off a bit more and my partner was in a better paying job so i could stay home for the first few years, but oh well things don't always go according to plan do they.
Addison has been in her own room from day dot. My partner needs his sleep for work, i actually feel like i have slept more in her room than with him since she was born.:(
Addison still hasn't really settled down, she chewing on everything, and has so much drool. I think she may be getting a tooth. i cant see any yet, so Im not sure.
Well i better run, Hopefully you ladies keep chatting in here and dont all defect to Facebook, or i will be one lonely mummy :(

hi everyone
Well Sean is driving me insane :hair:. He had gotten into a great daytime routine which included having an 1- 1 1/2 hour sleep in the morning, then a 2-3 hours during the day and about 45mins in the afternoon before going down at 7:30pm. Well for the last 3 days he has been up at 6:30ish and sleeping IN TOTAL all day for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. :banghead: :banghead:
He will not be put down, if I do he screams the house down, he will not be put into the cot awake as he just screams the house down. So by about 4:30 which is when I am bathing and feeding the girls he is pretty much screaming hysterically until 6:30pm.
It is making me want to scream hysterically as well. I am getting really cranky and short with the girls because it is stressing me out. I am also mid potty training with Hannah so not only am I dealing with a screamer I am trying to keep one eye on Hannah so she doesn't wee all over the place.
SOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooo over it right now.......................

Hi! I'm Cas, I have 2 girls, DD1 is 2, DD2 is an Aug 08 baby. Just thought I'd say hi, and I was wondering if any of your august babies are going through a really clingy stage and what you do to combat it. Kira (DD2) has all of a sudden decided that it's not ok to be put down unless she's sleeping and it's really frustrating. I'm basically a single mum and I just can't carry her around all day. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
TIA

Hi Cas, welcome to the group.
Do you have a walker for dd2 that you could try her in? My dd is also very clingy but lately I have been able to put her in her walker for about 10-15min at a time which gives me enough time to do some washing or clean the kitchen

Hi All,
Paula - Sorry to hear about Sean, hope since you posted the other day he's settled for you and is having his day naps again and stops screaming (that's the worst).
Laura - Bummer about having to go back to work I'm torn at the moment what I will do, my DH has told me once he gets a job (he's started looking for new employment this week, previously we were living on savings + baby bonus for last 5-months) he's not fussed if I want to be a SAHM for a while, however buying a house (we rent) will obviously be delayed (and I hate our house). My Manager has offered me to start a 3-day per week position start of February for a month (which may go longer) so this might be a trial run to see how I like it.
Cas - Welcome! I agree with Tahnee, I have a walker which Chloe uses just to sit/stand in and plays with a heap of toys in the tray. I usually can get 10-20mins of quiet time out of her (usually until all the toys are flung on the floor), otherwise she is happy to sit in her rocker and watch telly, other times I can put her in her cot and she's happy to play with her feet, chew toys or watch her mobile. However recently she's been rolling onto her tummy (but can't roll back) so anywhere where she can roll is bad as she gets upset (and usually vomits, she's a very chucky baby).
Anyhow nice to pop in here and chat occasionally .

Hi there everyone,
Sean seems to be a bit better during the day but not much. He is great at night which I am happy about. I wouldn't mind if he didn't sleep that well during the day if he was happy to be on his playmat or just rolling around the floor but the problem is he NEEDS to be picked up all the time.
AAhhh so much fun . Hope everyone else is going well
Welcome Cas - as you can see I don't seem to be much help with a clingy baby at the moment ;)
