Septemberries 12 week weight loss challenge - it is time to cut the 'baby' fat!!!!!!

Ok Septemberries - this is it! I want to do this and I want all the motivation I can get so I am dragging as many of you along with me as I can :raspberry:

So - this is what I think.

12 Week Challenge
Start Date: Wednesday 3rd December
Finish Date: Wednesday 25th February
Prizes: Up for suggestions, maybe we could put in $10 or $20 each, and it could go to the person who loses the most weight in percentage (like the biggest loser) - any other ideas

On Wednesday provide your start weight, and goal weight at end of 12 weeks, and measurements.

We can have a weekly chat thread to support each other and stat motivated.

So, what do you think?

:laughing: I know! That is one of the reasons I wanted to start this challenge for some extra motivation!

I stuck to Weight Watchers throughout Easter last year, so I know it can be done. And let me tell you I felt pretty awesome that I did it :yes: So I will be doing it over Christmas too. I've found there is always a Christmas, or Easter, or Birthday, or Wedding around the corner, so I used to use them as excuses, so I don't want to do that again IYKWIM....

But, it is up to you ladies - do you want to start 1st January?? New year and all....

I'm definately in! How are we going to do the prize? I was thinking we could all purchase a $10 or $20 KMart or Target card, send it to a key person, who then forwards them on to the winner?

My weigh-in day is Wednesdays, so it works well! Also, which measurements are we taking?

Neck
Chest
Upper Arm
Waist (above belly button)
Abdomen (below belly button - you know the 'mummy tummy' :p)
Hips
Upper Thigh
Calf

I thought the same thing a couple of weeks ago - I thought "I'll start in the New Year" and then I though "WTF, I could be 10kg lighter by then" (if I lose 5kg instead of gain :D).

Well done! I was too at this stage with my 2 previous pregnancies, but not where near pre preg weight at the moment :crying:

I'm in! I've been doing weight watchers now for 8 weeks and have lost 8.6kg! i still have 11.4 to get to my goal! My weigh in day at weighties is monday's so i guess i will just use that? Is that ok? I don't really like measurements as i never seem to get them in the same spot everytime!

Cass - i think the gift cards are a great idea! Easy to send aswell!

I love it and swear by it! Apparently there's a new plan being released on Dec 14, interested to see wat it involves! My leader mentioned points plan with core foods! I just love the points plan though.. works a treat for me!

I'm doing points too, and love it.

I like the philosophy of core, and the focus on wholegrains etc and would like to think I'll change one day because I think it is a healthier ideal, but I'm not ready to give up a bit of freedom just yet IYKWIM

OK, how much and who to send to? Also, we need to allocate Kmart or Target so that there is consistency?
I'm fine for both/either, so is there anyone who only has access to one of the stores?
Also, I'm up for up to $20, but understand if not everyone can afford it, so I will go with the flow :p

I'm happy for $20 Cass. What about Kmart vouchers, because if the winner doesn't have a Kmart nearby, they can always use the vouchers at Coles, and then use their money to buy clothes at Kmart (as long as they PROMISE to spend the equivalent on clothes!!).

Hmm i think somewhere where you can use it at a few places? Are there westfields all over Australia?? Maybe we could see if everyone that's playing has access to a westfield? ALTHOUGH you can't use westfield ones at Kmart or Target... Maybe money would be good so we can use it anywhere?? I dunno just throwing ideas out there!

Oh well then, maybe Kmart is the go... or Coles.. i don't really mind, i'm sure i can find things to buy anywhere!

I spose with the cash we could transfer it by netbank and then that person keeps it aside and then whoever wins gets the money transfered to them??? I've got a spare account with no money in it if you want me to hold onto the money.. if you want to do it that way that is.. i really don't mind either way!
