Hello,

I have a 15 week old baby boy and we have been trying to work out whether he has been starting to teeth over the last couple of weeks.

DS use to indicate to us that he was hungry by putting his hand in his mouth and then sucking. Now his hand is in his mouth all the time, puts anything else he can get in there and is drooling quite a bit.

I have some medium size plastic keys which have different curve, straight and dots on the end and these seem to help when he puts them in his mouth.

Any ideas

Hi, sounds like the begginings of teething to me. That's how it started with my DS around that age too. He is now 6 and half months old and still no tooth, but certainly more and more teething issues every day. I was told his teeth move around in the gums which causes them to dribble a lot and they like to have things in their mouth to push against their gums because it can be painful or at least an irritation for them. My DS has had one tooth come close to the surface of his gum and then a day later it had moved back up and I can't see it anymore (poor bubs)...his symptoms have ranged from Higher temps, vomiting more, drool, drool and drool, biting hard on everything, rashes on cheeks from drool and or red hot cheeks (flushed), sometimes frothy poos and stinky fluffs (a lot of those). Can't wait until a tooth breaks through to give him a break. He is still happy though, smiles a lot...just cries out more often lately in what I assume is pain or frustration over the whole thing. Good luck with your little one.
