Just wanted to know if this is normal.

8 months ago I had my third c-section and parts of my lower abdomen (just above my scar) are still numb. I didn't have this after my first and second and just wondered if this is normal???

After all - I have been opened up three times along the same scar???

In my experience, I had numbness in between the scar right up to my belly button for four years. Honestly you could have run a razor sideways down my stomack and I wouldn't have felt it.

It was only after my second c/s, a classical incision, that I got feeling back.

I still have some numbness in a few patches, but other than that it is improving.

It does feel unnatural to not feel your body

yep, normal.

they have sliced through the nerves and so forth, and sometimes they take a long time to reconnect, sometimes they never do.

I have only had two cs and it is really really :hair: when I get an itch in my stomach, but when I scratch it is numb, so I can't scratch the damn itch.

I have that too. But it's only 11 weeks since my first c/s. Apparently it's nerve damage and will go away "eventually". Weird feeling, huh?

I've had quite a few ops on different parts of the body (and a c-section too) and I've had this numbnessafter every one. The numbess tends to fade (after several years) but it never feels the same - for me, ends up feeling more tingly somehow.

Totally normal, just one of those things that come with a C/S
