I think PROM is premature rupture of membranes

yip 1lb is way too small, its the average size of a 23/24wker give or take a few grams,

Hi Chloesma,

Is your son home yet? Congrats on number 3, do you know why they came early?

KerriO,

That's great to hear he is doing well, did he come home on oxygen at all?

Wow. This thread has really opened my eyes! I would never have believed babies could be born 1lb and survive!

:hugs: to all of you who have been through it, must be terribly stressful, and to those whose babies did not make it :hugs:

Thanks AM,

Shell I have been wondering where you were! Congratulations on getting to 36 weeks, that's awesome! Did your DS spend any time in SCN?

KerriO when they come of oxygen is wonderfull hey, Edward had CLD and scarring and reduced capacity etc but it's amazing how their lungs can heal if they get the chance.
Must have been the best xmas gift ever!

Kewe were all your babies early?

Thanks so much. Yeah, Zack was in the SCN for 3 weeks because he had trouble feeding. Other than that he was fine.

no, DS2 was a 39wker, got to term with him

DD was born just under 5wks early, she had under developed lungs, was acting like a 34wker, I think my babies just develop alot slower than the norm, so maybe a typical pregnancy for me would be 42wks if I was to get to term or something like that cause of the slow development, which would make sence, with DD acting like she was 6wks early not 4 and a half weeks early

Hi
He is still in NICU on CPAP and is 5 months old tomorrow. We are expecting him to be in hospital another year.
