Hi there
I would like to know everyone's experiences after having a mirena removed. I am now on my 5th cycle since having it removed, and my body has still got no idea what it's doing. My first two periods after it was taken out were excrutiatingly painful, and really heavy. Since then they are normal flow, but still really painful. And my cycles are all over the place, and the LP only 10 days. Still have no idea what is happening - still waiting for an unfriendly visitor or a :bfp: for this month....

I had Mirena removed a few months ago. My first AF was so heavy it was scary. After that, my AFs were really painful, but I put that down to the fact that I have been diagnosed with endo in the past. My AFs were really regular after Mirena though, and 27 or 28 days which was lucky as we eventually started to TTC. I thought I'd have a hard time getting pg (mainly because of the endo) but got pg on the 3rd month ttc (maybe the 6th month after Mirena was removed). I wonder if it would be worth you going on the pill for a short while to get your cycles regular??? I guess that's not ideal when you are ttc :o. I hope you get your BFP soon.

Thanks for replying Branjie. I'm waiting for AF to arrive ATM, as she was due today (on a 28 day cycle), which means my LP has lengthened this cycle. Good idea about the pill, but I think I'll wait a couple of months, because I know it would mess with my head if I was taking birth control again. But I do understand where you are going with that. Thanks
