As the title ask.. what do you stuff in your pocket nappies? I know it's been said to me a gazillion times and it's lost within a million threads.. but yeah, I forget and at least if I have one post to go back to :p

Okay for Nappies:laughing: I would put in a booster or two depending on what absorbancy you are after ie day or night.;)

lol
I knew i should have put the word nappy in the title.

:p

I'm awake because my bladder woke me up, and then there are stinky smelly boys under my house playing games against one-another and one of them has speakers. Normally not a problem, except it's coming up through the floor boards and waking me up.

AND I'm craving a cheese-toasted-sammich so I've sent husband on a 4am bread mission! :D

I have to go to work in a minute!:( Though I wouldn't mind a cheese and tomato sandwich, we have cheese we have tomato but no bread!

lol you could put a purse etc in your pockets though don't know how absorbant it would be though!

oh listen to the two of you!!!! like old hens...

oh .. and nikki .. how often have I talked to you about pockets :shame: dont you listen??? :D

I suggest... if you want to do it properly - order a few hemparoo things from greens - or similar if you can find them (if you want to see something similar I have one) - it involves less work than the way I stuff them... and since you are having a pink baby - you will need absorbancy in places Jack never does

I use a combo of hemp .. terry and microfibre...

Greens Hemparoo & microfibre for night. For day a hemparoo or 2 smaller hemp boosters & a microfibre cleaning cloth

See Veve, I look at the elaborate way of how you stuff them and I sorta go "Oooooo that's a lot" and then I forget what's in them.

I do remember you said Microfibre cleaning cloths from Big W, House and Home brand! SEEEEEEEEEEEEE I'm good there!

Can I blame placenta eating my brain? (I tried to do that on an EQ IT-help list recently and had an email about how it's just a myth that pregnant women forget things! I beg to differ! I blamed lack of REM sleep... no response)

Thank you Mrs Brite! :D

Oooo is this a suitable stuffer? Cheeky Butts Microfibre & Hemp Prefolds (http://www.cheekybutts.com.au/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=331)

Bub Hub is playing up on me today so I've only caught part of your banter :p

I stuff my pocket nappies with Mother of Eden microfibre inserts from The WeeWuns (www.theweewuns.au.com). For a little extra absorbancy when going out etc I add a thin hemp booster (again from The WeeWuns). For overnight, I add a thick hemp booster from Sandra's Stuffables.

Some people find using the microfibre cleaning cloths from the supermarket to work well but I admit to preferring the MOE ones. They just seem to absorb more and I don't have to fold them.

For naps a booster and a (greens) micro fibre pad

For a trim fruit salad nappy one (greens) microfibre and a single layer of towel (cut up thick towel).

The rest of the time - a hemp prefold on it's own or a booster pad with a single layer of towel.

For overnight I use 3 microfibre cleaning cloths and a double layered hemp booster about the same size as the cloths (but bear in mind that my DD is 16 months old!). During the day I'll use 1 or 2 cloths with whatever sized hemp is handy. I think for a newborn you would need far less absorbency. :)

I stuff a terry folded into a rectangle into mine. And you can buy microfleece (not sure about microfibre) form Spotlight. I bought a metre and just cut up a heap of hourglass shaped pieces. There is no need to hem them-just cut and Voila! Ready to use.:D

WOAH!
Hold the phone.
Are you using the microfleece as a liner?

Sorry Seekrit, I probably just confused you with my post! Technically you asked What do you stuff with? so technically I didn't answer you properly.
I do have one (and another arriving as fluffie mail soon!) Little Lambs nappie. It has this great fleecy booster that folds in half and has 2 pop on buttons. It is such a great nappy-very trim and secure. I'm not exactly sure what sort of fleece is in it but it's very absorbant.:D

Through the day i use a microfibre insert in the nappy both of which are Greens & thats lasts us around 3-4hrs. I even use this when i put bubs down for a nap after a bottle & he sleeps for 1-2hrs. If we are going out i use a small hemp insert i got of ebay which is small but soaks up heaps with the microfibre to make sure we dont have any accidents.
If im using an Eenees i use terry which is about the size of a hand towel with a small microfibre wrapped in this with a fleece liner again last 3-4hrs.
For nites i use the Greens Dreamytimes which are no longer available :( & boost this with a hemp insert that is approx 8 layers from BabyBloomers wrapped around a Greens microfibre & this lasts us anywhere from 10-12hrs !
Its a bit of trial & error really as sometimes the reason you get leaks is due to over stuffing & every baby is different.
Good luck ! :)
