I would love to hear how others have gone with getting rid of the bottle?
Aylish uses it to go to sleep. (Still a comfort thing)
She'll wake during the night and want it too.
I know it's not good for her teeth.
Harrisson came off it easily.
She's unbelievably stubborn! :banghead:
I started to water the milk down, or add salt to make it taste not so nice LOL (mean arent I) then they didnt like it, I would give them a nice drink of milk from the cup and it was nicer, they just thought the bottle was broken and threw it away.

Why not give her the bottle just before she brushes her teeth and goes to bed?
I started off by putting blankets, cushions and beanbags on the floor in the lounge and reading a story to the boys while they drank their milk - in the bottles of course! It was 'snuggle time' and they it was the time of the day that we'd lay on the floor, unwind, listen to a story, have a chat and drink their bottles.
If they're not taking it to bed and therefore the milk isn't sitting on their teeth all night, why distress yourself and your child by taking the bottle off them.
Both of my boys still have a bottle just before they brush their teeth and go to bed...Lucas is almost 2 and Jesse is 4!
I've got better things to worry about than what container their milk is in.
Whoever wrote the 'rule' that bottles should be taken off children at a certain age obviously didn't have much to do (probably a man:shame: ).
In my opinion, they're adults for such a long time, if they want to have a bottle at the end of their hectic little days then so be it!
Bottles for everyone!!!:smiliedance:
I agree with Mamaduke, if she has her milk bottle before brushing her teeth and bed, and then you could give her a bottle of water to take to bed and she may decide that it's not worth the bother.

:( Hmm...tried the water thing. She cries and wakes up Kiana!
I like the cushions and beanbag idea - sounds cosy warm! :hugs:
I'll try anything.
And I agree with you Mamaduke but I want to get her off it too, because she wets through her nappy most nights. Extra washing
I got her to throw it in the bin once - had to rush out and buy another one that night!
