Help with Temp Charting Please!

:wave: Hey everyone. Just wondering if anyone can please have a look at my chart and help me out a little bit....This is my first month of charting.

Anyway......one minute Fertility Friend is telling me ive ovulated then the next i havent then it tells me i have!!??! Confusing me just a little bit!! :hair:

Not sure if I have done this right so let me know if it doesnt work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :yes:

I can only see the temps on your chart and none of the symptoms/cm stuff so you might need to go into your settings too and check mark the boxes you want included for people to see.

so your chart is saying you o'd on CD9? Your temps definately look like you did O on either that day or the following one. Its common to get a fall back temp in the initial days after ovulation which looks like you have had too. It looks a little early at 4dpo to be implantation. Did you do any opk tests, or get any ewcm around CD9/O time?

Fingers crossed your temp stays nice and high for the remainder of your cycle!

Sorry just read at the top of your chart it says CD21, so that means you o'd CD15 or 16 which is fairly normal too.

Thanks for having a look for me. Yeah i wasnt too sure because of the temp dip after ovulation.... plus FF said i ov'd then when i had the dip it said i hadnt, then it said i had again when my temp went back up?!!! so that is why i was confused. I have only been doing my temps so i dont have any other info although i did notice i had eggwhite CM around the time i was supposed to have ovulated. Also i have noticed my temps are rather low compared to most other ppls charts ive looked at....is that normal?? Thank you heaps you have saved me alot of stress!!

You might have figured this one out already, but FF marks O when there is a sustained temp rise. The big dip must have flustered it a little :laughing: but then the rise continued, so I would agree with FF on the current O date.

When looking at your chart, I find it's helpful to imagine soft curves, averages & patterns of temps rather than focusing specifically on one temp which could mean you slept with your mouth open that night or something equally as unhelpful :laughing: Isn't charting fun! :goodvibes:

Yeah I kinda gathered that! You did make me laugh :laughing: pictured myself snoring away in the middle of the night with my mouth open letting all the warmth out!! (well at least then hubby would know what its like to lie awake next to someone who sounds like a foghorn!) :laughing:
I have been avoiding charting for soooo long now and have just been to fertility specialist who now wants me to start - darn it!! :banghead:
Well if it helps then I shouldnt complain hey!?! You know coz ttc isnt stressful enough without having to worry bout charting each and every morning:hair:

No worries, glad to help. Regarding taking your temp the best way to take it is vaginally. You get far less fluctuations in temperatures temping that way rather than orally where if you had your mouth open part of the night then yes it would alter your temps lol.

Dont worry about everyones temps. You maybe comparing them to someone who temps vaginally and their temps are a lot higher (you can see from my chart mine are a lot higher and its probably because of the temping method).

Agree with PreggySiren that FF would of thought you could of been ovulating when you had that dip so it was just waiting for 3 sustained higher temperatures.

BTW, I notice that you have been TTC #2 for 18 months. I too have been trying to conceive my 2nd bundle for 17 months, and am getting very very frustrated! I have recently started seeing a new FS after having lots of different tests with my Obgyn which have all come back normal. So I'm off for more testing tomorrow with a different FS. Goodluck! Which FS are you seeing - I'm also out east in Melbourne in Knox.

:laughing: my dad used to call the mouth open thing "catching flies".

I've only been TTC for a couple of months, but I discovered that I am a bit of a control freak & like to know what my body's doing! And, like the nerd I am :p, I really enjoy figuring it all out.

Hope it doesnt take you very long to get preggers, it is a horrible stressful time when it does take so long - nearly made me and hubby split at one stage:( But we are working though that and are becoming stronger - i hope:yes:. Lots and Lots of :babydust2: to you and :fingerscrossed: that this is our month!!
