all good, he just looked it up. its an antihistamine, it will be fine (thats why its likely available over the counter). it can also be used for motion sickness etc right?
If you're concerned you can space it our more, an have a longer washing out period (have 4days on, 2 days off), but it really shouldnt be a problem anyway, and really, a chemist doesnt want to get a little baby addicted to anything, their advice should be pretty spot on.
Bub will be fine :)

OMG thankyou so much CaitlinArai!!!
Umm its pretty much just called Teething Elixir, the components of it are:
Paracetamol 60mg
Trimeprazine 3.75mg
And yeah for under 2s its prescription only...my GP said its fine and everyone says its fine but I feel like nobody is really listening you know? Im generally worried about my bub and the long term effects this could have on him and yet im going to go mad if I dont sleep!!! :ecomcity:
The "poisoning and toxicology handbook" (great source) said if used for more then 12 weeks without a break, jitteriness or nervousness may arise. this is a much longer time frame then the 5 days, so you're really fine.
Obvious risks long term would be dependancy on the drug for sleep, but that wont happen if you are breaking it up and making sure not to administer it when the child is not already tired.
you really are okay:)
I know it feels like everyone isnt listening, i'm sure they are and its just they know its nothing to worry about, but maybe one of them should have taken the time to explain it all better rather then just saying its fine.
is that the one they mix up specialy at the pharmasist, if so i would stongly sugest talking to the dr about it, If it is the particular pharmacist im thinking of near where you and I live then yer talk to the dr as its not a good idea
