I'd say that's plenty! No point stocking up until you've tried them all a few times and found what you like - then you can swap to suit. There'll almost certainly be some that you don't like using as much - you can swap or sell those and get more of the ones you do like :)

I think for now you have enough.
You can always expand on it as bub grows with more covers.
I had some terry flats but found them pretty average (still use them for other things) and am going for Bamboo Fleece prefolds for this bub.
I'm not sure what kinds of fitteds or AIO's you have either..
If you do want to get some more though, let me know.
I'm a bargain hunter and those prefolds I mentioned earlier work out reasonably cheap and they're so soft and lovely and can be used later as stuffers for pocket nappies or can be laid inside a cover. :)
No more small covers though, you have plenty!
Good idea on the wool ones though, when you do get some, grab some lanolin as well because the wool covers don't actually require washing much at all.
ETA: You're due around when I am too (25th of March here).

I tihnk you have far too many small covers. They wont last too long, especially over flats. can you swap at leats half for medium? I have 6 in each size(PUL) and this is plenty, they dont need to be washed at every change, unless pooped on.
here is what I use
16 fitteds(one size)
36 all in ones and all in twos(med and large)
10 pockets(one size) incl inserts
12 PUL covers(6 med 6 small-must get large ones the small dont fit lol)
you may find you totally hate some styles or they just dont work for you, so I agree that you should wait and see. Its a good starter stash

Oh I'd consider getting some flushable liners.
Well, I did get some flushable liners.
Quite a few actually. :o
I have a medium Blue PUL BBH cover (brand new) that I could swap for a small cover if you'd like, I don't have many small covers at all. :)

My 2 week old is having trouble with the covers size small and newborn being TOO Small to fit over her prefolds properly so they are leaking ! Remember bubs wont stay small long unfortunatly. She was 7lb 11oz born. The bumgenius AIO size small are a little big still and I have small itti delish in the was as I type to try them next.

Thanks all for your suggestions. I actually ended up with 6 newborn covers that will probably fit for about 5 mins (they were given to me) and I also bought 6 BBH small covers. The fitteds are BBB and the AIO's are Bubblebubs and Minki Magicalls. So I guess all I really need is to get the medium covers and things will be set until bubs gets here.
I was wondering whether I just wanted to buy more nappies or whether I could wait. I think maybe the MCN bug might have bitten me!! LOL
