2nd wedding anniversary - cotton?

well tomorrow is mine and DH second wedding anniversary and i'm completely stuck working out what to get him.

i was hoping to stick to the traditional anniversary gifts (i.e. first year paper, second year cotton etc) but blowed if i know what to get that is cotton yet still sweet and romantic. friends have suggested sheets :confused: and shirts:confused: but IMHO they're not really suitable for anniversay gifts.

what makes it worse (well depends how you look at it) is that DH is an EXCELLENT gift giver and i always end up feeling like a totally spoilt princess and for once i want to do the same (well not make him feel like a princess of course but YKWIM:D) escpecially since its our last celebration of our coupledom before the bub comes.

so here i am begging the trusty bub hub ladies to help me in this quandry....so any ideas?????

okay so i just re-read my post and i think i made it sound like i ONLY want cotton suggestions, but heck, i'm happy with anything! anniversary is tomorrow and i'm running out of time to buy something!

For our 2nd anniversary i bought my DH some blue singlets (he loves them!) and some cotton sticks (cotton buds) and i put a note on them saying "now you have no excuse not to hear me - clean your ears out!":laughing:

He thought it was cute & loved it!

He bought me a little pink cotton singlet & matching undies.

I know you said shirts etc arent suitable IYO but that's what we did. I dont think all anniversary gifts need to be romantic etc - its the thought that counts & a bit of fun too:D

Ok so failing sheets and shirts, what about getting him a main gift (anything you think he'd like) and a nice matching tank top/boy short type thing? I bought my hubby a mossimo set from myer one year and he looks better in it that the model in the Myer catalogue! (Well I think he did! :D) He loved it and wears it heaps during summer.

eta: Just had an idea - don't know how far the budget stretches, but as this is your first bubby, what about getting him a "daddy watch"? I gave DH a gorgeous watch after we had our first baby, I'd layby-ed it for ages and had the back engraved - "Forever yours, congratulations Daddy" or something similar. Anyway, you could engrave pretty much anything - but it's another idea!
