GAP cover......HELP!!!!

my PHI has GAP cover....thats great......
i have NO idea wat this is or means!!!

hi gap cover is good!! Health insurance is really confusing as it is so I will just try to confuse you more. My understanding of gap cover is that your health fund will pay the maximum rebate to your doctor after medicare chuck in their part. If your health fund does not have gap cover you are generally left with more out of pocket expenses. Generally what happens with most OB's is that they have a "co-payment" which you cannot claim on your health insurance but can sometimes claim a portion of it through medicare my OB's co-payment was $2500 (ouch!! almost hurt as much as childbirth) so check with your doc what they charge so you know in advance what you are up for.
