i purchased 2 AIO's from a ebay seller a month ago next week and i still havent got them. each time i ask why i get a different story.
"i am a bit behind on orders coz i had a large order to fill" (i thought fair enough)
then the seller sais she told me my order would be done after a large order when i brought the Aio's she didnt.
her latest reason is that she is waiting on PUL to come.
i paid a month ago next week.and i dont know if i should contact ebay or not.

I'd contact ebay and then ask the seller for a refund. It isn't fair that you have paid and are still waiting. The seller shouldn't have sold something that she didn't have. That is fraud IMO.
Good luck with it.

She shouldn't sell what she dosn't already have:mad:
I would demand my money back and definately leave bad feedback!
can I ask who the seller is??? or the name of the company???
PM me if you like... I'm trying to sort out a few ebay things... and there are a few really dodgy people selling there!!
- make sure you tell ebay ... so that other mums dont order through her!!
xx
I agree with everyone else.
Definitely contact ebay and also leave your negative feedback ASAP.
Generally it triggers the sellers to try to get you your items (if you still want them after waiting so long! ) and butter you up, because they'll want you to withdraw your negative feedback.
has all your contact been through ebay mail? Just easier for ebay to track your communications that's all.
But very true... you can't sell what you don't have!

I had a problem buyer a couple of months ago. I sold Matthews old rocker and the woman never paid for it but insisted she did. (If she did pay for it, she must have sent her payment to someone else because I never got it.) I relisted it and left negative feedback for her. But then she left me negative feedback calling me a dopey cow and started sending abusive emails. She is now on my blocked buyers list.

How frustrating! Id definately contact ebay. The girls are right when they said that she shouldnt have sold you anything if she didnt have the stock there. Its not right (or legal even!). :banghead:
My BIL bought a car for $1000 off ebay (crazy I know!) and the guy did a dodgy on him. He never got the car! He reported it and stuff but there was nothing they could do. He'd scammed about 5 other people too. You have to be so careful!

I'd report her too.
Those sort of transactions give us nice sellers a bad name!
I think there's something on ACA tonight.
Leaving negative feedback is always hard with people like that though.
You risk getting it in return which has happened to me twice.

I got ripped off on ebay about 4 years ago. A seller in Canada who never send me the goods, which I had paid $600USD for. Ebay were useless and so were the investigating agencies aligned with ebay. Never heard from any of them. The seller became an unregistered ebayer while the process was going on. I would never spend extraordinary amounts of money on ebay again. Yes timetoplay you are right about the neg feedback thing. I know of people that have been on to ebay about retaliation feedback and basically ebay don't want to know about it. Good luck with it all.
I could be wrong here, but my understanding was, items on ebay should be ready to ship when paid for, unless they specifically say they are a custom item. Which she obviously didn't. Report her, leave negative feedback - I know people are scared to leave it, but I would, just to avoid anyone else going through what you are going through.
And I'm sure you'd be able to find some good quality AIO's away from ebay as well.
Cheers

What is an AIO anyway??

Just thought that I would add some information as someone who does sell a lot of items via eBay * Try to find sellers who use paypal - that way if the item is not received Paypal will usually refund the money * Always check the sellers' feedback - I always look at all the comments in their feedback section, try to go back at least 6-12mths so you have a good idea of how their business is running * Also I agree with only emailing via eBay as there is a traceable line for eBay should they investigate the purchase.
These people are the reason buyers get turned off eBay. There are so many scammers around that you really need to be vigilant.
One further point about the feedback section of eBay - if someone is new to eBay however have quite a large number of purchases, when you check their feedback actually click on the item numbers. There are people within the eBay circle who will "sell" items for low prices like 99c who will give you feedback immediately. This in turn allows people to get "good" feedback quickly. Unfortunately this is not against eBay's rules - but it is something that I have just been made aware of.

What is an AIO anyway??
All in one nappy. No need for a separate cover as the outside of the nappy is normally some form of waterproof fabric. Probably the closest cloth nappy to a disposable.
I made a small purchase of custom letters for DD's door and never recieved them. the seller became unregistered and ebay investigated with no result. I am careful now to only buy things that use PayPal so I am covered by that.
Until you get burnt, you don't tend to think about that sort of thing.
Definitely report and keep following up with ebay. They can be a bit slack in how much assistance they give you.
Good luck! :fingerscrossed: It sorts out quickly in your favour.

thanks guys :) i'm just opening a item not recived dispute now as i type. they were custom items but when she emailed me for fabric choices etc she told me all the fabrics were in stock and max it would be a 2 week wait after i had paid and i paid 2 days after the auction closed.
i just checked the listing to see when she marked it as payment recived its been marked as payment recived since 20th april thats over a month ago! i am so annoyed.http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7755729778&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1
thats the listing.
dont buy from this seller i give the big thumbs down.
i think from now on i will stick to buying from ozebaby
I am a good seller but I can sometimes see how items take longer to get to you...probably not a month though. With 2 kids sometimes it takes me a while to get to the post office...its a logistical nightmare. Sometimes its out of your hands...Ive sent things before that people have never got and I don't refund...how do I know that they never really got the item anyway?? I've even had people leave negative feedback who have bought things from me and never paid and just decided to be nasty and then deregistered them....I think with ebay you win some and you lose some...the majority of the time you win but there is the odd occasion where something goes wrong...I normally just live with it
That is the same seller that I've been having problems with !! She is awful (see vent in nappy section from last week). I ordered inserts off her on the 6th of April !!! and I'm still waiting.
She has fobed me off with excuse after excuse (personal problems, computer problems, having to go away, waiting on a hemp order) and has been very rude about it. Half of my order finally arrived last week (she had told me she'd posted it on 3 separate occasions and given two different postage dates both of which were lies). But goodness knows were the rest of the order is ??
At one stage she told me that she was waiting on a hemp order but after close examination of the inserts she sent they do NOT appear to contain ANY hemp and truthfully are not that absorbant so unless hemp suddenly looks like printed flannelette there isn't any hemp in my inserts!
I filed an item not received with ebay and all that did was get her to email me and say she had posted it. *sigh*
She is getting a big fat negative from me if the remainder of my order does not arrive by the end of this week.

I'd give her a negative anyway just for taking too long.
Hi.
This is Nicky from Nic-Naps.
I'm sorry if this sounds a bit emotional but I'm in tears after reading the harsh comments on this site.
Firstly, I would like to apologise for the delay in your orders. Yes I did have to go away for a week, as stated in my ebay ads, this aside - the underlying reason for the delay is and always has been the fact that the hemp and PUL I ordered from bubbaearth did not arrive until recently.
This is stated on their website for those that don't believe me....
http://www.bubbaearth.com.au/
I order all my PUL and hemp from them and have never experienced a delay like this before and would usually pride them on their prompt delivery, which is why I did not aniticipate this extended delay.
Secondly, I would like to say I have never 'fobbed' anyone off and have always replied promptly to all emails as soon as I have recieved them.
It is unfortunate that the only two unhappy customers I have both belong to this one forum....to show that these are the extreme instead of the norm, here is a link a customer forwarded to me, that I didn't know existed until today.
http://208.109.8.20/forum/showthread.php?t=7919
As for the allegations that my products are not what they were advertised to be (eg hemp in soakers) I would like to say that I regard these comments as pure slander perhaps from someone with an agenda.
I have worked hard to build this business up to be reputeable and to produce quality products.
You should all know how hard this would be with two young children, seeing as you are all mothers yourself.
I am a Wahm and would never rip anyone off in the way suggested as this is illegal and goes against my morals.
As stated on my ebay ad, my nappies are custom made (to order).
All care is taken to ensure my nappies and materials are off the highest standards.
With the choices I provide, this is something that cannot be rushed and cannot be recieved by pre-made nappies.
I have had close to 100 customers (private and ebay) that have all been happy to wait the few weeks it takes for my products.
This is reflected in the comments from the link above, and also in my ebay feedback.
I have tried very hard, in this post, to be professional and not attack anyone personally. I would like the slander to stop as it is unjustified and unfair as these issues have not been raised with me previously.
It should've been bought to my attention before being aired in a public forum.
If anyone has any questions or comments please feel free to PM me and I'm happy to discuss anything in relation to this topic.

I am sorry you were upset Nicky but I am sure no one meant to offend you. Sometimes it is hard to understand what a person really means when we only have words to read, not tone-of-voice to hear. Also a lot of people have had some bad experiences on ebay so they are more cautious as a result, especially if the item is advertised as available and they then discover it has to be made up, which I believe is an ebay no-no anyway.
On a slightly different subject do your nappies tend to run a bit on the large side? They look like they are made from a honeyboy pattern and I understand it is a little bit bigger than some of the other patterns sizes.
Also is there any hemp, or any pul in your AIO?

My goodness what a bunch of women we have here hey:no:
I am a very happy and satisfied customer of Nic Naps. For those who are under the impression that goods must be ready to ship when listed on ebay...... You are mistaken! The fact that Nicky makes nappies to order is the beauty of her business, buyers are able to pick the materials used, fabric designs and sizes all at the time of purchase AS IS STATED IN HER ITEM DESCRIPTION!!!
It is unfortunate Nicky that 2 unsatisfied customers have come on here to complain rather than corresponding with you yourself. It is also very impressive that one of these buyers is also a "hemp expert" it seems and perhaps with this skill she could find something better to occupy her time rather than slandering hard working WAHM.
BRAVO to Nic naps!! I love mine and will soon be placing another order because I can see formyself the care, time and sheer hardwork that goes into the construction of a nic nap.

I just wanted to say you don't have to be an expert to know if something is not hemp. Anyone who has felt flannelette ( which is different from flannel by the way) would know it was NOTHING like hemp
People buying nappies do need to know exactly the quality of the fabric in them to know if they are going to work. That is why people ask nappy makers so many questions about what they have used.
While this thread started out as a request for advice in dealing with slow delivery of an eBay item, it has now morphed into a disagreement between the buyer and seller that does not really belong on this forum.
Now that Nicky is back in business, this disagreement would be better resolved via eBay where you can negotiate about final delivery and finalising of feedback.
