Hi ladies
I am just wondering whether it is important to make sure you get the corresponding 'covers' for each fitted nappy(not withstanding covers that have to be clipped or snapped to the actual nappy) . Or whether you can swap covers - or even use the cheaper old-fashioned 'pilcher' style covers that used to be used over the Flat nappys?
Thanks...... Cee

i've been told to invest in a really good pul and wool cover to use over fitteds....best way to ensure no leaks and you want the material to be breathable.
for example, i have a few BBH bamboo fitted nappies, i have 2 BBH PUL covers to go with them. Haven't gotten a wool cover yet...thats on my list to buy..lol...it never ends!!

I have found the covers to be pretty much interchangeable. I would avoid the old style pilchers if possible as they don't breathe and the baby's bum ends up in its own ammonia/wee sauna :barf:
I cant go past a good pair of woolies, but I have found the bummis whisper wraps, the BBH and bambino mio PUL covers to be quite good.
Hope that helps :)

Thanks girls - that helps a lot.
And yes, I like the look/colours of the Bambino Mio, but was surprised to find them priced at $23 for the cover only!!
Thanks again... Cee

What I THINK you are asking is if you need to get the same brand cover as the nappy for it to be effective. The answer there is no.
You can buy whatever kind of cover you like.
BBH Pul covers are around $10 each depending where you buy them from and Cloth'd up have some PUL white velvet covers at around $5-$6 each! :)
