Hi everyone,
Just hoping for a bit of advice on breastfeeding / taking EBM from a bottle.
I have an 8 week old girl who is fully breastfed. A few weeks ago I tried some EBM from a bottle and she took it without any probelms. Over the last couple of days I've been trying to do the same again but with no success.
I am finding this so frustrating as she has done it before - I feel in desperate need of a break from being on hand to feed 24/7 and would love my partner to be able to be able to feed her from time to time. I have been using AVENT bottles as my now almost three year old used those without any problems whatsoever from around this age.
I've tried to give it to he myself and my partner has also tried but she isn't interested in the slightest.
I have been demand feeding up until now and this can be anywhere between 1.5 - 3 hourly. She hasn't yet given me anymore than 3 hours sleep during the night and I think that she may be using me as a comfort therefore not wanting to suck on the teat.
I am exhausted, feeling at the end of my tether and just need a wee break, especially with the demands of a toilet training toddler aswell.
Has anyone got any advice to offer on the taking the bottle and/or extending the time in between feeds?
Thanks
