what a coincidence! i just finished making some for the first time!!

you need 90g of butter, 1/3 cup of sugar, 1 tbspn of honey, 4 cups of corn flakes.

put all ingredients but not the CF in a pan and heat them until frothy then put the CFs in and mix it all together.
put the oven on 150degrees and put the mixture into patty pans and cook for 10mins!
easy as pie!!

Oh Yummo!

Didnt the recipe used to be on the outside of the cornflakes box and the rice bubbles box?

I used to love those, might make some next week!:D

You can get the normal chocolate crackle recipe on the side of the rice bubble box (using copha) but I just found out about a new one from friend from the Uk. She made them for her daughters bday party. The adults couldn't get enough of them.

I'm not sure of the exact quantities but all it consists of is crushed cornflakes (you do this in a plastic bag), a block of melted milk chocolate (you could use whatever you like) and spoon them into patty cases. YUM! She said these are the 'povo' version but they were just delicious. I'll be making mine like this from now on, sooo much easier.

This is the recipe we use. Because they set in the oven, DD1 and I have more time to get them into the patty pans, sometimes the process can be very slow:p.

Choc Crackles
4 cups Kellogg's® Rice Bubbles®
1 1/2 cups icing sugar
1 cup desiccated coconut
250g copha®*, chopped
3 tbsp cocoa

Method
In a large bowl, mix the Kellogg's® Rice Bubbles®, icing sugar, cocoa & coconut.
Slowly melt the copha® in a saucepan over a low heat.
Allow to cool slightly.
Add to Rice Bubbles mixture, stirring until well combined.
Spoon mixture into paper patty cases and refrigerate until firm.

I prefer not to use the coconut and instead just put in extra rice bubbles.

Have fun!
Lisa
