Did she hate tummy time when she was younger?? How does she go when she has toys in front of her, does it help any??

I think that as they get older they dislike it more because they are frustrated that they can see all these things that they want to touch, but they can't get to them.

Jacob rolled at 5wks.
Brooke rolled at 8mths.
Matthew rolled at 2mths.

I think anything that lights up or makes noise in front of them helps. But she may never really like it till she can push herself up properly.

Maybe lie underneath her - with her lying on your tummy - and chat with her.

Ditto on the baby hating tummy time.

DS has always hated it and i actually did it again not long ago this evening, he was calm for a while and then all hell broke loose.

He also has reflux, so tummy time eventually turns into clean-up-time! :barf:
Come to think of it, DD used to hate it too.

DS rolled at about 4 months. But he hasn't tried for a while either. He wants to sit up now. Happiest when propped up for a while.

Maybe try laying bubs on you (chest to chest) and then gradually increasing your incline?

My bubs has only recently started to like the tummy time.

With the rolling, It started with her arching her back and then moved on from there. I don't know if it helped but I helped her to practice.

Sometimes by persisting with these things everynow and then, one day they surprise you and just do it .

Liam still isn't a big fan of tummy time unless he's lying on my chest. He started rolling from tummy to back at 2.5 months.

DD didn't like Tummy Time either.

It was suggested to me, by the CHN, that since she was meant to spend 15mins a day on her tummy, that instead of doing it in a big block, just do it in little spurts throughout the day.

So if your bub can stand it for 2 minutes, then do it for 2 mins, but do it for 2 mins 7 times a day. :D

my DS hated it at first but i was told to gradually try to increase the amount of time as he got older. by the time he was up to 15 mins he was so used to being on the floor he would get cranky if he didnt get his floor time  i would put a blanket down and some toys and he would play with them and when he started rolling he would roll around the lounge lol

As a break from laying on the floor or on your chest, you can also carry bub so she is laying on her tummy along your forearm. I usually did it with her head towards my hand and her legs hanging either side of my elbow, but whatever is most comfortable for you is fine. In that position she'll still be encouraged to lift her head to look around.
