Hello ladies  My name is Kahlea and I am about to embark on what I believe is the most rewarding and ultimately privileged career –Student Midwife !
In my course I am required to join 15 woman’s “journey” into parenting – from seeing you at antenatal appointments, to birthing, post natal, and a follow up 6 wks after your birth.
I am with you to support, observe and be committed to whatever your birthing ideal maybe.

At this stage I don’t know exact details about what our “relationship” will entail as I commence in February but I know I need woman who plan to birth at the St George Hospital next yr, I would also be doing a case study on your experiences (used for uni purpose only)

So ….. about me (personally & professionally)

Professionally

I am a 7th year Registered nurse with extensive experience in the emergency dept, I am a trained Triage and Resusitation nurse.
I spent 2yrs working in the USA to gain specific trauma skills and worked in one of Los Angeles’ busiest trauma centres (no nothing like ER ) or all saints
I also work for a private medical company providing medical response to large scale events (state of origin, Andre Rieu, AFL, ) stunt work standby for TV & Film and have worked medical for TV shows such as “surviver” & “biggest loser”. I have also been the sole medical response for international medical retrieval.

Personally

I am married to a rescue paramedic and mum to 2 gorgeous daughters (3yrs and 10 months) my children are the most inspirational and grounding people who at times I want to put on ebay !!!! – just joking – no really I don’t think they accept human transaction  ANYWAY, my values and belief is that all woman regardless of age, race, religion or sexual orientation have the right to have their pregnancy and birth choices respected and encouraged and I will strive to advocate on your behalf at all times. I believe that childbirth is a journey regardless of your birthing outcome, I am committed to both drug free and intervention and will support you in staying focused on YOUR choice.

If this sounds like something you may be interested in I would like to send you a full list of my credentials and i would love the opportunity to meet with you before you commit to me. (There are several wonderful students who would also be competing to share in your journey) because most importantly I want you to be comfortable with your student.
Please either message me or post below
Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you!

ps you would ALWAYS have a qualified midwife with you also
