DS2 (who is 8) has had a bad run these last two weeks with illness.

First Gastro then a bad head cold, now he has Oral Thrush:(.
What peevs me is that I took him to bulk billing ( never again:no:) and the d!ck of a GP said to leave it as it didn't appear to be bad.
Well poor little mite, it has spread right through his moth now.
We have the Nilstat and the Daktarin, but the chemist seems to think another trip to the doc for a script of Antibiotics might be the way to go.
Now, I thought that a side effect of Antibiotics is Oral Thrush:confused:.
So I would love to hear of any alternative treatment ( I am already using the natural yoghurt) I could use until I take him to my regular GP tomorrow.
TIA

When my neighbour had oral thrush she had to have these lozenges. She said they weren't too nice. I haven't heard of ABs for thrush though.

No I have never heard of treating it with AB's either:confused:.
Maybe the lozenges are prescribed by the doc??

if he's over the cold and doesn't have an allergy/intollerence you could give him yogurt, preferably the jalna or something similar, or you can get kids probiotics which will help too.
