Hi there,

I am at the very beginning....we are the trying to conceive stage. Thought I would join a forum and learn from all those who have been there before me.

So I am a youngin -22- and my hubby is 27. We have been married bout 9months now and been together in total 4.5 years.

I am currently studying to become something. But Im at that time in my life were I have had enough. I have been studying since school non-stop and was going to break this year. But I wanted to get my studying finished before kids came along as I knew I couldn't get the chance to go back. So we got married and now I feel I just want to get started having a family. I do wonder if having a family and an not being able to finish my degree if I will get the chance to finish it? That is what Im struggling with at the moment.

Hi and Welcome to Bub Hub:wave:

I grew up in Cairns! I can't wait until I can take my son up there and show him around where Mummy grew up. (I grew up in the Northern Beaches. I went to Trinity Beach Primary School and Smithfield State High School).

I miss it so much and think it is an absolutely beautiful place to bring up a family!

I think with your dilema you really should work out what is more important at the moment.

How long do you have left on your degree??

What are you studying??

Will it come in handy to be qualified when you are at home with your children (will you be able to use it to work from home?? Start up an at home business??)

Good luck and can't wait to see you around

Hi everyone and thank you for your welcomes,

Hailsntwang, We live at Trinity Beach and Hubby works at Smithfield high, so depending on how long ago you left school and Cairns you might know him, he has been there 4years since 2005.

I have 1 year left on degree. As I am not preggers yet that means I can do first semester and than have 6months off with bub and than if I can the following year do 2subjects 1st sem and 2 2nd sem to get it finished.

I am studying a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Visual Arts) which has some business and marketing subjects with my choosen elective subjects English. Thinking I was going to get a 1yr Graduate Dipolma of Education after this degree to become a high school art teacher. But because hubby is a teacher, he has really put me off the last few months, as when you have a bad day of course you come home and burst...so not hearing the happy stuff has swayed me off it a bit.

I can't really use my qualification at home. I am an artist as a hobby, but I can't live off it professionally right now.

Hey arty1,
My fiance and I are getting married in January, we have been together for about 3 years. We have just started TTC aswell. I have finished my degree and am a qualified nurse. Hope fully we can travel along our journey together.

With deciding on uni and family... Just Make sure that will not look back and wish you had done things differently!!!

Good luck, if you have decided that you are still TTC, I'd love to track progress together!!!
