Hi guys

I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has conceived with a frozen embryo transfer? We have a daughter conceived on our 2nd IVF cycle (we are so lucky!), and have 5 frozen embryos. It's great that we don't have to go through the egg pick up again! We are hoping to try for #2 using frozen embryos, in December. What is the embryo survival rate after thawing? How many embryos were implanted at a time? Any info would be appreciated...

Cheers!

I didn't go through IVF but have two friends with babies born from frozen embryos so will share a bit of their info. The first conceived on the 5th attempt at transferring, using a frozen embryo. He is now two and a half years old and full of beans. She then had one embryo left in storage. When she tried, using that one, although they transferred the embryo it turned out that it wasn't really viable. She is now preparing to go through another egg harvest.

My second friend conceived then lost a baby on her second transfer. She then tried again, using her last two frozen embryos in one transfer and one transferred successfully, and is now a gorgeous 6 month old. I am unsure of the rates of success generally but thought you would like to hear two success stories.
