I am looking at changing my private health insurance policy, and I have had a look at a government website, and I am happy with how a policy from HBA that will be about $70 cheaper a month (we are downgrading).
The thing is, I have never even heard of HBA :o. Does anybody have health insurance with them, and if so, any feedback would be great.
Thanks.

Hi,
I have been with Hba for 8 years now.
I have both Extras and Hospital cover
My hospital cover is Hospital saver plus with Nil excess. So I dont have to pay anything. Most of the time my ob and other specialst have been no out of pocket expense and have used easy claim system meaning i have not had to lift a finger.
I had my little boy And he was admitted to the neonatal ward with problems they also allowed me to stay the entire time he was in the hospital I had my own room also.
I cant speak more highly of them.
My kids are also fully covered for dental so I have no out of pocket expense and I get my choice of Dentist unlike going to a school dentist. I pay around $200 per month for both.
Good luck.

Thanks for the feedback ladies.
How do you go making claims? Can you do it online, because there is only one office in Queenland?
most places will swipe you card there and then, if for some reason they dont, there is a claim form on their website, im about to put my first 'online' claim thru, will let u know how it goes.

HBA have been around for well over 80 years and are very good.
Hospital claims are pretty easy to do if you use Ezyclaim doctors (they dont charge above the scheduled fee so your not out of pocket). If your using it for extras, most places have the machine to swipe your membership card and then you pay the difference.
