How to lighten dark hair to like Jennifer Aniston's

Heya all I have dark hair at the moment and I know you can use a toner to lighten it all over which is what I wanta do but not to sure how to go about it any one know how?

To get Jennifer Aniston's hair colour, you would have to get foils.
So, for instance if your hair is black, you would have to lighten that to a lighter brown first, then a head or half head of foils of a caramel/ honey blonde.
I would not try just a toner, may be too bland.:)
