Hey just wondering how yous got your bub to brush their teeth? Summer REFUSES to come anywhere near the toothbrush even if i hand it to her to hold. She HATES IT! Any tips would be good
are you using toothpaste?
if you are try using thr brush with just water.
DD1 hated her teeth being brushed too but wasn't so bad without tooth paste. Give it a try.

Maybe you could try letting her 'brush' yours while you brush hers? As fun as that sounds  it might just work......Either that, or one of the bubblegum tasting toothpastes might get her into it?
I tried the bubblegum ones first with DD1, then after a while bought a normal kids one, and she took to it straight away. She thought she was then having a 'grown up' toothpaste like mummy & daddy.
Good Luck!

Hmmm, wonder what it is she doesn't like? Have you let her do yours before? Maybe try letting her do yours without doing hers for a couple of goes, so she sees it won't hurt her or anything, and so that she sees you are soooo enjoying having your teeth brushed  ? Sorry i don't have any more ideas for you....
I bought one of those Colgate battery powered character brushes and this was the only thing that worked with my stubborn dd. It is supposed to be recommended for children 2 and over but I used one from about 19 months and it was fine (bad mummy moment here:o ) They do a really good job and you just have to run the brush across the teeth and it is much quicker too.

we do our teeth together, mornings are sometimes with dad as he gets ready for work. we sing..." you brush your teeth chh chhchh cchcch cchhccchhccchhccchh"
simply singing that song gets him excited
most of the time its with toothpaste with a cup of water to dip & rinse (or drink in ds's case as he doesn't know how to spit!!) sometimes with dad its just with water so he doesn't get tpaste all over his work uniform.
we make it fun, make silly noises when you do yours, grab a hold of her brush and get a little scrub in, but mainly let her do the brushing / sucking / biting / poking in your ear!!!

Matthew wont let me near his teeth, so I just put toothpaste on the brush and give it to him to chew on while he's in the bath. I had to do this with my older kids until they were about 3.5 as well.

My Matthew has been fine (he's 16 months now) with the brushing with raspberry toothpaste and No1 toothbrush all along, but since his molars popped through, he's been fighting about brushing. I used to have to have my own brush with me when I did his teeth, so we could both do ours together. That worked then, so maybe I should try it again?

my DS loes having his teeth brushed he giggles at it i think it must tickle or something lol. i would try water only see how that goes. my DS didnt always like having hsi teeth brushed and i let him "brush" his teeth and after a while he got used to it.
She brushes my teeth, and I brush hers. :D

I'm brushing Brookes teeth now .. she only has 2 though ;) I use toothpaste and the toothbrush that slides over my finger .. she opens her mouth and I just go for it! I've never really made a big deal out of it .. more like "brush brush, open open" I say, and she has a smell and sucks away madly on my finger .. I can definately feel me brushing those 2 front teeth though .. so that works here!
just wanted to say goodluck!
