Circumcising and job choices!!

Bet that got everyone's attention!!
My query is this. We had decided not to get Blake circumcised. And everyone keeps asking. But we have had a few people tell us that if he wants to join the Police,Armed Forces or other select jobs he would need to be circumcised. I would hav thought that wouldnt be the case these days but can anyone help me out as to the truth of it. I think it would make us at least talk some more about it as i dont want to close doors for his future.....Although at least then i would know that he wasnt gunna have a dangerous job!!

I don't think circumcision is a consideration for the armed forces (well, in this day and age anyway!). I reckon your son could become whatever he wanted, regardless of his foreskin status!!:D

Well i didnt think it was an issue these days as it is just cosmetic surgery but wanted to make sure before i lock the door.!!

I think maybe the people who told you this were pulling your leg. There is definitely no foreskin requirement for Police or Defence Force recruits. Now your question has been answered, I'll close this thread.

Can I just add, I think (vaguely recall hearing it somewhere) in the times of WW1 & WW2 it was a requirement - cleanliness in the trenches etc.
