I've just bought bed linen for DS as we've moved him to a big boy bed, but am appauled at the quality of what I bought. After the first wash, before even using it, the colours now look so washed out and second hand. It was licorice brand from a department store. I washed them on a cool/warm wash as per the instructions. Where can I get quality doona cover/sheet sets, that don't fade tenfold in the first wash or feel scratchy? Maybe I'm a sheet snob ;)

I know the feeling we bought sheets from spotlight for DH to take on the boat and I couldn't believe the appaling quality.
For DD I wanted 100% cotton and bought some from Pure Zone for around the $30-$39 mark (the first ones were on sale for $29 and the 2nd not but still cheaper than a single fitted 100% cotton sheet from target) The ones I got were a really hot pink and a ladybird Red they have faded a little bit (I think it is mainly the sun up here in Darwin - and I left them out for 2 days once:o) but they are still really bright and haven't pilled and no dye comes out either (a little bit on the 1st wash and that was it) I cannot speak more highly of them.
Will be getting more!!!!!:smiliedance:
Oh and being 100% cotton they are a little stiff after the wash but soften up a treat after a short while.

Expect to pay about $100 for a single quilt cover and then $60 for a pillowcase and fitted sheet. Lovely colours and designs... I just bought a beautiful red and white gingham for both the kids,..so soft and lovely.

I brought DS doona cover and sheet set online.
Quilt Cover was $90 and sheet set was $80 - Freckles brand, trucks and diggers - too cute. Excellent quality.

I really like the target 250 TC sheets. DD has two sets, and they're both still like new. I got them on sale for a decent price
I bought my DS king single sheets from kmart. Cheap but washed up really well. I bought them to see what they were like and was expecting them to fall apart and was highly surprised. I wash them every week and they haven't faded or lost shape.

I've got quite a bit of Hiccups brand for DS... and I love it... really hardy, well wearing, but very well priced too.
Another Sheridan fan here. DD1 has a 5 year old doona cover on her bed, the bright colours still look great.
