Just wondering if anyone had had any experience with Dr Borzi? DS needs to see him regarding a problem with one of his kidneys and may need surgery :( so I'm just trying to find out what Dr Borzi is like etc.
HI
My son saw Dr Borzi in July this year for hypospadius (has 2 wee holes and wees out of the wrong one) and will need surgical correction at approx 12 months of age (early next year). Dr Borzi was good to speak with and i am confident he will do what is needed for my son. My son has had 2 open heart surgeries before he was 3 months old so have had a bit of experience with doctors
Best of luck with everything.

I can answer your question in two parts, as a mum and as a nurse who works with him:
As a mum: Peter did DS1's tongue tie in April this year, he was FANTASTIC, got us in straight away, spoke to me after theatre, checked on us in the day unit, called me later to make sure everything was ok - and that's just for a tongue tie!!
As a nurse who works with him: Honestly, I would pay this man anything he wanted to operate on my children. He is kind, patient, has a wonderful bedside manner, he explains things really well, he is EXTREMELY experienced, and he listens to both the parents and the nurses. I'm never afraid to call him in the middle of the night about one of his patients because he will always listen to what we are concerned about, never gets upset and is very compassionate. He works so hard but always has time to come and see patients and their parents, and he's just a generally nice guy.
If you have any more questions and want to, feel free to PM me at any time. What hospital are you going to??

We found him to be excellent. He did my DS's hernia operation last yer. We did not have a long wait for surgery and he was just wonderful. Post-op check up was great too. He was very efficient. Also, DS's paediatrician says that he is "one of the best, if the not the best, paediatric surgeons in Qld". GP also sang his praises too.
DS had his operation at St Andrew's and they were excellent too! The nursing staff were just wonderful!

he is lovely.. I ahve seen him for my older DS and needed to see him when pregnant with ds2 due to some concerns about a congenital problem. He was great and is honest and realistic...
very good

Dr Borzi removed a non-functioning kidney in my 15 month old daughter last October (it was picked up in utero - congenital problem). He was very kind and I trusted him completely with such a major operation. My dad is a retired specialist and has lots of contacts in medicine. When he asked around about Peter Borzi it was all glowing reports. Highly recommend him. Good luck with your little one, if you ever want to pm me, feel free :)
