My DD is 8 weeks old today but i'm sure she's been teething for about 4 weeks. she has a little white dot on her gums down the bottom and when you touch it it's like a little lump. i'm assuming this is her tooth. is she too young to have been teething for a few weeks already. my son didn't get his first tooth until he was 11 months so this early teething is new to me. is there anything i can do to help her?
ds has had that too since about four weeks. we got some rings you put in the fridge and hold them in his mouth. if is really hurting him i'll give him some panadol.

Yeah it's very normal. I have heard that some babies are born with teeth. Also I have used Bonjella in the past and that has worked wonders for my little 2

My LO got her first tooth coming through today. She started teething two months ago and she is 18 weeks old. Some babies are born with teeth, and yes they can come early.
Wow - that's gonna be hard for you though. Teething is tough!! But then, now that DD has her first one, I'm kind of glad it's all coming at once - I'd prefer to have the dramas condensed than spread them all out

I had a friend who's little boy had his full set of teeth by 12months... My chubba is that age now and only has 6 he's going thru another cycle as we speak ... Good Luck Chicki
I'm going to go against the grain and suggest that it's not a tooth. Although I do totally agree that it's never too early for bubs to get teeth. I think it's what's called an Epstein's pearl. Basically a small (and harmless) cyst that new bubs often get on their gums and sometimes other parts of the mouth. Looks like a little pearl on the gum and often mistaken for early teeth. Nothing to worry about, painless and goes away by itself. If you see a CHN I'd be interested to see if I'm right or wrong on this one.
btw.. I just have to add that I LOVE the name Ava! :D
