Hi, I have just stumbled across this site and thought i would pop my head in. I am a mum to a 5 year old girl and have just recently discovered I am 6 weeks pregnant. Unfortunately though, life has been a challenge for us as we lost our two year old son last year due to drowning. This pregnancy was planned but now I find myself overwhelmed with emotions....be it hormones or guilt or whatever it may be, they have hit me full force. So, why am I here? I guess I was hoping to find someone to talk to...someone who can keep me treading water. I know that hormones must be playing a HUGE part in my current state of mind but right now I should be elated. I should be bursting with happiness....yet I feel numb. Don't get me wrong, I want this child with all my heart, I just would love my son back too. So that's me, that's where I'm currently at.....would love a hand to hold on to for moment.

Hi

First of all Welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy and of course your 5 year old.

I am also from Townsville and am pregnant with our second bub. In July 07 my hubby and I lost our first son not long after he was born. He had a heart defect that was not picked up until he had died. I think what you are feeling is normal... I kind of felt the same way. I would love for my first son to be here, this bub would of had / has a fantastic big brother.

As this pregnancy has progressed though I started to feel better about things and am now getting really very excited.

Big :hugs: 's for you and if you want someone to talk to I am more then happy to listen.
