MummaDJ's little one was admitted to hospy this afternoon with suspected Meningococcal.
She wasnt feeding, had a high temperature and a purple rash which didnt fade if pressed.
They have taken bloods, and given her anti-b's ..... but wont know the results for 48 hrs. She has settled a bit and is sleeping now, but it has been a very difficult day.....
Many many :hugs: hun (for you and Abbie)
We are all thinking of you.

Hey guys.
Sorry for the cut & paste.
Just a fly by from me to give you guys a quick update as I'm currently at home waiting for Declan to wake up.
Abbie is currently on Antibs for meningicocal until we get blood results back saying its not that. They said with meningicocal someone can look fine 1 min & within an hr can go downhill fast so they are treating for the worse case scenario jic, odds just aren't worth it as put by the dr.
Its so nice to know there are people out there that care so much about us even though we've never actually met.

I hope its not menigicocal. And they find out what it is. Our deepest thoughts are with you. I hope your little girl gets better soon.
:hugs::hugs::hugs:How scary for your family. The great thing is that if it is Meningococcal they caught it early and she's been treated with the right antibiotic for near 24hours now, and sounds like she has not deterioated...so she will be fine.
I hope she's feeling better soon:thumbsup::goodvibes:

:hugs::hugs::hugs: you poor thing! How worrying for you.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
I had meningitis and septicaemia when I was a baby and because they spotted it pretty early, I made a full recovery. Sounds like you have caught it early for your DD too, so hopefully she will make a full recovery also.

Hey guys thanks for the well wishes.
We are all at home now on gate leave which is where they are both still admitted to hospital but allowed to leave but if we need to go back to hospital I can take them straight up to the ward rather than wait around in emergency.
They are unsure what Abbie has had so still keeping a very close eye on her.
I'm having an early night as I am absolutely exhausted.
