This is the only place I feel comfortable saying how proud of myself I am.

Tuesday was DD's birthday, and she turned two. So everyday for the last 2 years and 2 days I have BF her.

This is why I am proud of myself:

I feel like I have given her the absolute best start in life
I have been working FT since Feb this year and still BF her, through sheer exhaustion and overnight, even when I had to get up and go to work, day after day.
I dreaded each BF for so long, yet I powered through and found the strength to carry on
I am totally over BFing her, but still feed her (not offering now, and try to distract when she asks)
My colleagues think I am a fruit bat
I had breast surgery at 16, really struggled with feeding on the side that had surgery, but found a way to manage
WOW, who would have thought this would be me, but it is. Thank you to those who have supported me. To those who have replied to my posts over the past 18 months, thanks. To those who have supported others, and in doing so have given me support thank you too.

Thank you to my mum, who is my inspiration - I will miss you forever.

Thank you to my DH for never saying I am a fruit bat, even though you have no idea why I am still BFing.

Thank you to my sisters who no longer say anything about people who BF longer than 12 months

Thank you to my mother's group for supporting me and telling me I am great. I look forward to supporting some of you in the future.

Thank you to DD for saying such wonderful things like, mum is wonderful, I love the milk, milk is yummy, bye bye milk, i want the milk chair, i want the milk bed, milk is nuddy nuddy, i want big milk. I hope you understand that it will be over soon.
