I am currently with HCF and I'm thinking of switching to NIB. I have already passed my 12 month waiting periods so all that will be waived if/when I change health funds.

I haven't had any problems with HCF, I have just discovered that for what I want coverage for - NIB appears to be cheaper and offer better rebates.

I'm not entirely sure if I will be going private or public when I get that long-awaited BFP, but I do need a plan that covers a good portion of IVF (just incase we need to head down that road)

Just wondering what advice anyone can give me on their experiences with these funds, or any other funds for that matter.

Hi Ally!

Look into Defence Health before you switch funds! As a spouse you get a discounted rate! (you only pay for you as Grant is already covered!)

We have had no problems with them whatsoever in the whole 7 years! We once looked at changing funds but in order to get anything near to what we got with Defence Health we would have had to pay more than $100 extra a month!

Even though DH has now discharged we are able to still keep our membership as a civilian family.

The web address is: www.defencehealth.com.au
