she CANNOT sit still for one second!

My 10 month old DD cannot sit still for a second.

I just wanna kick back on the couch and give her a cuddle but she screams and tries to get away!

I don't know why I'm making this thread, I guess I just don't know if its normal...
Shes not very affectionate and hates cuddles and kisses:(

Anyone else had/has a little baby with ants in their pants ?

My DD is almost 18 months old and was exactly the same when she was younger. She didn't like cuddles and she didn't ever sit still. She was always on the go.

She is still the same a little in that she won't sit still and always wants to be carried and I have to keep her occupied. She won't let me get away from her unless she is doing something like scribbling on the tiles LOL.

The hugs have gotten better though. She loves to cuddle and walk all over us in the mornings when she wakes up and she will lie down with me sometimes and crawl all over me and smother me in kisses.

So it does get a little better :)

My girl was exactly the same at that age! They are so interested in the world around them and too preoccupied. Wait till your little one is a little older...and u call out for them. My girl now runs for cuddles as soon as I mention it!

I have 3 little boys 4 and under none of them sit and cuddle??
You are going to have one very active baby. Mine are not at all relaxed and they go and go and go. No rest for me at all just be thankful you only have one so far.:laughing:

My 4 yr old was exactly how you described and he cannot sit still for 1 minute and he's supposed to go to school soon I reckon I am in trouble with him.

I holding onto he might mature inthe next year so he can sit still. It seems to get easier every year though.

My dd1 hate cuddle kisses etc and sorry to say she now 14 and still hates to be touched.:gloomy: On the good side I'm not worried about boyfriends getting to hands on.:yelclap::yelclap::yelclap:

As for the not sitting still I have three of those too. The baby seems to be the worst yet . He rolled at 5weeks, crawled 4mths pulled himself up at 5mths and starting to walk around the furniture now at 6mths :eek:

DD cant sit still. she is always moving. even if she is super tired and laying on your lap. she will be kicking her legs:rolleyes: and now she can walk she ddoesnt stop at all.

if i want to sit down for a minute i open the two doors in the lounge room and she will walk in and out and around and say boo every each time she enters the room:laughing: lasts for about 5 min.

she isnt very affectionate. if you try and cuddle her or give her a kiss she will get agitated.
but when she wants a hug or kisses she will come over to get them. (she also makes you kiss all her teddies:confused:)

My also 10 month DD was exactly the same! The last few weeks though she has really changed, getting so cuddly with both her daddy and me. I am not sure if that's because I started back at work or not though. We can even get her to give us slobbery kisses now!

Saying that though, she also never sits still. She refuses to cuddle up with me on the couch, always has to be playing with something.

But when she crashes (sleeps!) she generally sleeps really well, both day and night, so I'm not complaining!

:laughing: sounds like we all have some very energetic kids!! I call my dd the energizer bunny. I just wish i could pull the batteries out sometimes!

But i must say she does sleep very well, no problems, so thats a plus i guess.

I just want that affection with her as well..oh well ..hopefully one day:sunshine:
